Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a neck pillow, and more specifically, to a neck pillow with a novel configuration that not only provides stable support for the neck to reduce the burden placed on the neck, but also offers good usability and comfort. Background Technology

[0002] Generally, a neck pillow supports the neck to keep it upright without tilting while seated in a chair. It is commonly used during long flights or travel by vehicle, and is also worn when sitting in a chair for a long time to work.

[0003] Meanwhile, conventional neck pillows are C-shaped and are worn by placing them around the neck with the opening facing forward. However, because the back of such C-shaped pillows protrudes, when wearing them and leaning back in a chair, the back of the pillow touches the chair and gets in the way, making the sitting posture uncomfortable and placing a strain on the neck, which can even cause neck pain.

[0004] Because conventional neck pillows have these inconveniences, there are cases where people purchase a neck pillow but leave it unused. Prior art literature

A neck pillow is provided that includes a wearing means (40) provided on the outer ends of the first and second pillows (10, 20) and detachably connecting the outer ends of the first and second pillows (10, 20); wherein the connecting band (30) is positioned at the back of the wearer's neck, and the first and second pillows (10, 20) are positioned on the left and right sides of the user's neck, respectively, and the outer ends of the first and second pillows (10, 20) are connected by the wearing means, thereby supporting the left and right sides of the user's neck.

[0008] According to another feature of the present invention, the connecting band (30) is composed of a first band portion (32) having one end connected to the inner end of the first pillow (10) and a second band portion (34) having one end connected to the inner end of the second pillow (20), and first and second length adjustment coupling means (33, 35) that are mutually detachably coupled are provided on the outer or inner surface of the first band portion (32) and on the inner or outer surface of the second band portion (34), so that the first and second band portions (32, 34) are coupled such that the degree of overlap is adjusted by the first and second length adjustment coupling means (33, 35), thereby adjusting the length of the connecting band (30).

[0009] According to another feature of the present invention, the first length adjustment coupling means (33) is made of a female Velcro tape and is provided along the length direction of the first band portion (32) on the outer surface of the first band portion (32); the second length adjustment coupling means (35) is made of a male Velcro tape and is provided at the inner end of the first band portion (32) to have a shorter length than the first length adjustment coupling means (33); and the second length adjustment coupling means (35) is not exposed regardless of the degree of overlap between the first and second band portions (32, 34).

[0010] According to another feature of the present invention, the first length adjustment coupling means (33) is formed to extend into the first band portion (10), and when the second length adjustment coupling means (35) is attached to the portion of the first length adjustment coupling means (33) that extends into the first band portion (10), the inner ends of the first and second pillows (10, 20) come into contact, and the first and second pillows (10, 20) are connected in the longitudinal direction.

[0011] According to another feature of the present invention, a front support pillow (50) is further provided in which the outer ends of the first and second pillows (10, 20) are each detachably connected to the left and right ends, respectively, so that when worn, the front support pillow (50) is positioned in front of the first and second pillows (10, 20), thereby preventing the wearer's head from tilting forward by the front support pillow (50). Effects of the invention

[0012] The present invention, configured as described above, is configured such that the first and second pillows are connected to a connecting band, and since the first and second pillows support both sides of the user's neck and the connecting band is positioned at the back of the neck, there is no part protruding backward, unlike conventional C-shaped neck pillows. Therefore, the neck is stably supported by the first and second pillows, which reduces the burden on the neck, and since there is no part protruding backward, it is not uncomfortable even when leaning on a chair. In addition, the neck is supported from side to side, preventing the head from tilting to the side, which is comfortable, and since there is no need to lean the head against the person sitting next to you, it has the advantage of not causing discomfort to the person sitting next to you.

[0013] Therefore, using this invention during long flights or travel by vehicle allows one to sleep or rest comfortably, thereby reducing fatigue. Of course, even when sitting and working for long periods, wearing it enables one to work in a comfortable posture, which reduces fatigue and increases work efficiency.

[0014] In addition, if the connecting band is configured to be detachable so that it can be connected, it has the advantage of being able to be worn by adjusting the length of the connecting band to fit the user's neck thickness, and in some cases, the first and second pillows can be connected so that they touch each other and used like a regular pillow.

[0015] In addition, if a forward support pillow is provided, it prevents the neck from tilting forward, providing more stable neck support. Brief explanation of the drawing

[0018] Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail according to each embodiment with reference to the attached drawings.

[0019] It should be noted that the embodiments described below are not intended to limit the invention and may be implemented in various different forms, including various modifications, equivalents, or alternatives.

[0020] FIGS. 1 to 4 are perspective and usage state views of a neck pillow according to a first embodiment of the present invention. As illustrated, the present invention includes first and second pillows (10, 20) spaced apart from each other on the left and right sides, a connecting band (30) connecting the inner ends of the first and second pillows (10, 20), and a wearing means (40) that detachably connects the outer ends of the first and second pillows (10, 20) to allow the pillow to be worn on the neck of a user.

[0021] As illustrated, the first and second pillows (10, 20) are manufactured to have a cushioned feel by having a filling material embedded inside a fabric outer cover (12, 22) that has a somewhat elongated shape from side to side. The filling material consists of materials commonly used in bedding, such as cotton, sponge, latex, or buckwheat hulls, and is preferably made of buckwheat hulls. Since buckwheat hulls are a natural material, they are not only eco-friendly, but using buckwheat hulls as a filling material also improves the breathability of the first and second pillows (10, 20), so they are cool and do not accumulate sweat even when used in the summer. Particularly preferably, an opening (14, 24) that can be opened and closed with a zipper is formed in the outer cover (12, 22), so that if the outer cover (12, 22) becomes contaminated, the filling material can be separated and only the outer cover (12, 22) can be washed, and the filling material can be replaced with a new one as needed.

[0022] And the connecting band (30) connects the first and second pillows (10, 20) spaced apart from each other, with both left and right ends connected to the inner ends of the first and second pillows (10, 20), respectively. This connecting band (30) is made of a fabric or a rubber band of the same material as the outer cover (12, 22) of the first and second pillows (10, 20).

[0023] Meanwhile, the wearing means (40) is provided at the outer end of the first and second pillows (10, 20) to wear the present invention on the user's neck and to connect the outer ends of the first and second pillows (10, 20) in close proximity. In this embodiment, the wearing means (40) is exemplified as being composed of a female buckle (42) and a male buckle (44) connected by a band to the outer end of the first and second pillows (10, 20). It is obvious that the wearing means (40) is not limited to such buckles and can be composed of various known configurations such as a string or Velcro tape.

[0024] As illustrated, the present invention, having such a configuration, is worn on the neck by fastening the wearing means (40) while the connecting band (30) is positioned behind the user's neck and the first and second pillows (10, 20) are positioned on both sides of the wearer's neck. When worn, the length of the band connected by the female and male buckles (42, 44) is adjusted according to the wearer's neck thickness so that the neck is not excessively tightened or loosened.

[0025] In this way, the left and right sides of the neck are stably supported by the first and second pillows (10, 20) on the wearer, thereby reducing the burden on the neck and preventing the head from tilting to the left or right even when sleeping in a seated position. If the head tilts to the left or right, it causes not only discomfort to the user but also discomfort to the person sitting next to them as the head touches them. However, using the present invention prevents the head from tilting to the left or right, so the user is comfortable and there is an advantage of not causing discomfort to the person sitting next to them.

[0026] In particular, since the connecting band (30) is positioned at the back of the user's neck, unlike conventional C-shaped neck pillows, the back part does not touch the chair and cause discomfort due to obstruction even when the user leans their head against the chair, so the wearing comfort is good.

[0027] Therefore, by wearing the present invention, one can sleep or rest comfortably during flights or while using a vehicle, and even when working for long periods while sitting in a chair, the strain on the neck can be reduced, allowing for more comfortable work and reduced fatigue, thus improving work efficiency. In addition, the present invention is designed for infants and can be applied to infant car seats or strollers; when the present invention is applied to a car seat or stroller, infants can enjoy sleeping more comfortably in the car or stroller.

[0028] Hereinafter, other embodiments of the present invention will be described, but descriptions of configurations and effects identical to those of the previously described embodiments will be omitted.

[0029] FIGS. 5 and FIGS. 6 are an exploded perspective view and a plan view showing a second embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, the connecting band (30) is separated so that it can be connected, and the length of the connecting band (30) can be adjusted according to the user's neck thickness.

[0030] As described above, the connecting band (30) is divided into first and second band sections (32, 34) connected at the inner ends of the first and second pillows (10), respectively, and first and second length adjustment connecting means (33, 35) that are mutually separably connected are provided on the outer and inner surfaces of the first and second band sections (32, 34), so that the length of the connecting band (30) is adjusted by adjusting the degree of overlap of the first and second band sections (32, 34) using the first and second length adjustment connecting means (33, 35). In this embodiment, the first and second length adjustment connecting means (33, 35) are exemplified as being made of male and female Velcro tapes, but the first and second length adjustment connecting means (33, 35) are not limited to Velcro tapes and may be made of other components such as hooks, snap buttons, etc.

[0031] In this embodiment, since the length of the connecting band (30) can be adjusted, the length of the connecting band (30) is adjusted according to the thickness of the user's neck. That is, if the user's neck is thick and it is necessary to adjust the length of the connecting band (30) to be long, the first and second band parts (32, 34) are attached so that they overlap relatively little, as shown in FIG. 6(A), thereby adjusting the length of the connecting band (30) to be long; and if the user's neck is thin and it is necessary to adjust the length of the connecting band (30) to be short, the first and second band parts (32, 34) are attached so that they overlap relatively much, as shown in FIG. 6(B), thereby adjusting the length of the connecting band (30) to be short.

[0032] In particular, preferably, a female Velcro tape is provided as a first length adjustment coupling means (33) on the outer surface of the first band portion (32), and a male Velcro tape is provided as a second length adjustment coupling means (35) on the inner surface of the second band portion (34), wherein the female Velcro tape is formed long to the left and right along the length direction of the first band portion (32), and the male Velcro tape is provided at the leading edge of the outer surface of the second band portion (34) so as to have a significantly shorter length than the female Velcro tape.

[0033] In this way, regardless of the degree of overlap between the first and second band sections (32, 34), the male Velcro tape is not exposed, so the discomfort of the male Velcro tape touching the wearer's neck is not exposed. Meanwhile, depending on the degree of overlap between the first and second band sections (32, 34), the female Velcro tape may be exposed to the outside. The male Velcro tape has a rough surface due to the hooks formed on its surface, but since the female Velcro tape has a smooth surface, the discomfort is not caused even if the female Velcro tape is exposed to the outside.

[0034] As such, this embodiment has the advantage of allowing the present invention to be adjusted to fit the wearer's physical condition, that is, neck thickness, by adjusting the length of the connecting band (30) according to the user's neck thickness. Of course, as described above, the present invention can be adjusted so that it is not excessively tight or loose around the neck when worn using the wearing means (40), but the wearing pillow can be adjusted more actively to fit the wearer's physical condition through the length adjustment of the connecting band (30).

[0035] FIGS. 7 and FIGS. 8 are drawings showing a third embodiment of the present invention, in which the first length adjustment coupling means (33) is made of a female Velcro tape, and the first length adjustment coupling means (33) is extended to form a first pillow (10).

[0036] In this embodiment, when the male Velcro tape, which is the second length adjustment coupling means (35), is attached to the part of the female Velcro tape extended to the first pillow (10), the second band portion (34) overlaps with the first pillow (10), so that the inner end of the first pillow (10) and the inner end of the second pillow (20) come into contact, as shown in FIG. 8. Therefore, the first and second pillows (10, 20) are connected in the longitudinal direction and have a straight shape, as shown in FIG. 8, so they can be used like a normal pillow.

[0037] FIGS. 9 and FIGS. 10 show a fourth embodiment of the present invention, in which a front support pillow (50) is further provided, the ends of which are detachably coupled to the first and second pillows (10, 20).

[0038] A first fastening means (52) is provided at both ends of the front support pillow (50), and a second fastening means (16, 26) that is detachably fastened to the first fastening means (52) is provided at the outer ends of the first and second pillows (10, 20).

[0039] In this embodiment, the first fastening means (52) is exemplified as being made of a ring and the second fastening means (16, 26) is exemplified as being made of a button that is fitted onto the first fastening means (52), but the first and second fastening means (52, 16, 26) may be made of other components that are mutually separable, such as snap buttons, Velcro tape, strings, etc.

[0040] When the front support pillow (50) is connected to the first and second pillows (10, 20), as shown in FIG. 10, the front support pillow (50) is positioned between the first and second pillows (10, 20) and in front of the first and second pillows (10, 20), so that the front of the user's neck is supported by the front support pillow (50), thereby preventing the user's head from tilting forward. Therefore, when the user sleeps while sitting, the head is prevented from tilting forward, allowing for a more comfortable sleep in a more comfortable position.

[0041] The invention described above is merely illustrative, and those skilled in the art will readily understand that various modifications and equivalent alternative embodiments are possible therefrom. Therefore, it will be understood that the invention is not limited only to the forms mentioned in the detailed description above. Accordingly, the true technical scope of protection of the invention should be determined by the technical spirit of the appended claims.
