Abstract
Description
Technology Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a cosmetic container with an enhanced sealing function. Background Technology
[0002] Cosmetic compact containers are primarily used to protect the contents and provide user convenience, and in particular, the sealing function plays an important role in preventing spoilage and contamination of the contents. Traditional cosmetic compact containers are structured such that a cover and a body are combined to form a seal, but there are problems such as insufficient sealing power or a decrease in sealing function upon repeated use.
[0003] Prior art has developed structures that insert a rubber packing between the cover and the main body or utilize magnets to enhance the sealing function. Additionally, technologies that prevent contents from leaking out by improving the internal sealing structure have also been identified. However, these technologies have disadvantages, such as reduced sealing power upon repeated use or increased manufacturing costs due to complex structures.
[0004] Recently, double-sealed structures and rotary locking structures have been proposed to simultaneously improve usability and sealing functionality (Republic of Korea Registered Utility Model No. 20-0341801). The double-sealed structure minimizes the inflow of external air by forming an additional sealing layer on the exterior of the cover and the main body, but it presents the problem of increasing the overall volume. On the other hand, while the rotary locking structure is designed to allow the user to strengthen the seal through rotation, it requires force control during use, which may potentially degrade the user experience.
[0005] Therefore, existing cosmetic compact container technology has limitations in simultaneously satisfying ease of use and manufacturing efficiency while enhancing airtightness. The problem to be solved

[0020] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a cosmetic container (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view of the cosmetic container (100) illustrated in FIG. 1. FIG. 3 is a perspective view illustrating a cover (110) of the cosmetic container illustrated in FIG. 1, FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of the combined state of the cosmetic container (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 5 is an enlarged cross-sectional view of a part of FIG. 4.
[0021] Referring to FIGS. 1 to 5, the cosmetic container (100) according to the present embodiment includes a cover (110), a packing (130), a connecting member (140), and a body (160). The packing (130) connected to the lower part of the cover (110) contacts the body (160) at two points to provide a sealing force for the cosmetic container (100).
[0022] Although the cosmetic container (100) according to the present embodiment is exemplified as including a circular cover (110) and a body (160), it is obvious that the cosmetic container according to other embodiments of the present invention may have various shapes such as an ellipse or a square.
[0023] The cover (110) covers the open upper portion of the body (160) and is rotatably coupled to the body (160). An upper groove (118) formed in a concave shape is formed on the upper surface of the cover (110), and an outer rim (112) and an inner rim (114) forming the rim of the cover (110) are formed around the upper groove (118). The upper groove (118) is formed in the center of the upper surface of the cover (110) by the outer rim (112) and the inner rim (114) having a certain height. A cosmetic tool, such as a puff (not shown), can be stored in the upper groove (118).
[0024] The outer rim (112) forms the outer circumference of the cover (110) and is formed outside the inner rim (114) at a constant distance from the inner rim (114). Thus, the outer rim (112) and the inner rim (114) correspond to concentric circles with different diameters. A rim groove (116) is formed between the outer rim (112) and the inner rim (114), and the packing body (132) of the packing (130) is inserted into the rim groove (116). Additionally, the outer rim (112) is seated on the seating surface (168) formed on the upper part of the body outer wall (166) when the cover (110) closes the upper part of the body (160).
[0025] A hinge (120) may be formed on one side of the cover (110), and the hinge (120) may be rotatably inserted into a hinge insertion part (170) formed in the body (160).
[0026] A packing (130) can be inserted into the rim groove (116) formed on the lower surface of the cover (110). The packing (130) can be formed integrally with the cover (110) or can be formed by double injection using a more flexible material such as rubber or silicone different from the cover (110). The packing (130) is positioned between the cover (110) and the body (160) and serves to increase the sealing force between the two.
[0027] The packing (130) includes a packing body (132) having a ring shape, an outer ring (134) protruding downward from the packing body (132), and an inner ring (136) located on the inner side of the outer ring (134) and corresponding to a concentric circle. The packing body (132) has a cross-sectional shape corresponding to the edge groove (116), and the outer ring (134) and the inner ring (136) protrude downward from its lower surface.
[0028] The outer ring (134) is formed in a circular shape at the bottom of the packing body (132), and its diameter may be formed to be equal to or slightly larger than the inner circumferential diameter of the body outer wall (166) formed in the body (160). As a result, when the cover (110) closes the top of the body (160) (see FIG. 4), the outer ring (134) elastically deforms while in contact with the inner circumferential surface of the body outer wall (166), thereby providing a strong sealing force.
[0029] The inner ring (136) is formed in a circular shape at the bottom of the packing body (132), and its diameter may be the same as or slightly different from the diameter of the inner wall (162) of the body (160). As a result, when the cover (110) closes the top of the body (160) (see FIG. 4), the inner ring (136) comes into contact with the upper part of the inner wall (162), thereby providing a strong sealing force.
[0030] The body (160) is combined with the cover (110) to form the outer body of the cosmetic container (100) and has an internal space (172) for accommodating contents (such as cosmetic liquid). The body (160) may have a structure with an open top and a closed bottom. Additionally, the body (160) may have three side walls, namely, an inner body wall (162), an intermediate body wall (164), and an outer body wall (166). The inner body wall (162), the intermediate body wall (164), and the outer body wall (166) correspond to concentric circles with different diameters.
[0031] The body outer wall (166) corresponds to the outer edge of the body (160) and has a certain height, and the body intermediate wall (164) and body inner wall (162) are formed therein, respectively. An outwardly protruding seating surface (168) is formed on the upper part of the body outer wall (166), and the outer edge (112) of the cover (110) can be seated on the seating surface (168). Also, a hinge insertion part (170) is formed on one side of the body outer wall (166).
[0032] A body intermediate wall (164) is formed at regular intervals inside the body outer wall (166). The body intermediate wall (164) corresponds to a border formed on the outer side of the body inner wall (162), and a regular interval is formed between the body outer wall (166) and the body inner wall (162). A connecting member (140) can be connected to the upper part of the body intermediate wall (164).
[0033] The body inner wall (162) is formed on the inner side of the body intermediate wall (164) at a certain distance and has a certain height to form an internal space (172). The open upper part of the body inner wall (162) corresponds to a passage through which contents contained in the internal space (172) are discharged, and a member such as a mesh (not shown) may be attached to the upper part. As illustrated in FIGS. 4 and 5, the diameter of the body inner wall (162) may be formed to be the same as the diameter of the inner ring (136) of the packing (130), so that the upper part of the body inner wall (162) and the inner ring (136) may come into contact with each other.
[0034] A connecting member (140) is connected to a body intermediate wall (164) to enable a mesh (not shown) to be connected to the body (160). The connecting member (140) includes an outer wall (142) and an inner wall (144), and a connecting groove (146) is formed between them. The body intermediate wall (164) is inserted into the connecting groove (146) of the connecting member (140). Additionally, a plurality of connecting protrusions (145) may be formed at regular intervals along the entire inner wall (144) at the lower end of the inner wall (144). The connecting protrusions (145) are inserted into the micro-holes of the mesh to enable the mesh to be connected.
[0035] Although the cosmetic container (100) according to the present embodiment is exemplified as having a connecting member (140) for coupling with a mesh and a body intermediate wall (164) to which the connecting member (140) is coupled, the cosmetic container (100) according to another embodiment of the present invention may not have a mesh, a connecting member (140), and a body intermediate wall (164). Additionally, a sponge or the like impregnated with cosmetic liquid may be accommodated in the internal space (172) of the body (160).
[0036] Screw threads (not shown) may be formed on the inner surface of the connecting member (140), and correspondingly, screw threads (not shown) may also be formed on the outer surface of the body intermediate wall (164). As a result, the connecting member (140) can be screw-coupled to the body intermediate wall (164).
[0037] The connecting member (140) may not come into contact with the outer wall (166) and the inner wall (162) of the body. Additionally, the connecting member (140) may not come into contact with the packing (130). As a result, the sealing force of the outer ring (134) and the inner ring (136) can be prevented from being reduced by the connecting member (140).
[0038] In the cosmetic container (100) according to the present embodiment, when the cover (110) is closed, the outer ring (134) of the packing (130) is elastically deformed while pressing against the inner surface of the outer wall (166) of the body, so a strong sealing force can be generated at the contact point. Additionally, when the cover (110) is closed, the lower end of the inner ring (136) of the packing (130) comes into contact with the inner wall (162) of the body, so a strong sealing force can be generated at the contact point. Thus, in the cosmetic container (100) according to the present embodiment, since a sealing force is provided at two points where the outer ring (134) and the inner ring (136) of the packing (130) come into contact with the outer wall (166) and the inner wall (162) of the body, the problem of the contents leaking out to the outside can be solved, and the problem of the contents deteriorating by blocking the inflow of air can also be solved.
[0039] The cosmetic container (100) according to the present embodiment has a simple structure including an outer ring (134) and an inner ring (136), so it has the advantage of being easy to manufacture and convenient to use.
[0040] The cosmetic container (100) according to the present invention may be used independently, but may also be used by being combined inside another container (not shown).
[0041] Although the present invention has been described above with reference to one embodiment, those skilled in the art will understand that various modifications and changes can be made to the invention without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as described in the following claims.
