Large ring products include not only rings in the general sense but also races, flanges, or rock plates. While ring products may have a square or rectangular cross-section, most are irregular rings with complex irregular outer or inner cross-sections. To produce such irregular ring products, a ring with a square cross-section is first obtained using a general press device, and the outer diameter of the obtained ring is rolled with a main roll to enlarge the diameter of the ring.

[0003] Referring to FIG. 1, a conventional ring mill device includes a mandrel (2) that contacts and supports the inner surface of a heated ring-shaped metal material (W), and a main roll (4) that presses the outer surface of the ring-shaped metal material (W) to form the thickness and outer diameter shape of the ring-shaped metal material (W). Both the mandrel (2) and the main roll (4) rotate, and the ring-shaped metal material (W) also rotates in place. Additionally, the conventional ring mill device further comprises an upper axial roll (5a) and a lower axial roll (5b) that support and smooth the upper and lower surfaces of the rotating ring-shaped metal material (W).

[0004] In such conventional ring mill devices, when the main roll, which adheres to and processes the outer surface of a ring-shaped metal material, wears out, the entire main roll must be replaced repeatedly, and the ring mill device must be disassembled to replace the main roll. Furthermore, conventional ring mill devices have the problem of reducing work efficiency and lowering product productivity during the ring mill process due to the repeated replacement of the main roll.
