Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to an automatic opening and closing type sump grating device, and more specifically, to a grating device that is equipped with a rotating plate and a rotating clip on a grating body installed on the upper part of a sump, wherein the rotating plate is automatically opened by water pressure when rainwater flows in and automatically returns to a closed position when the water pressure is relieved, thereby blocking the inflow of foreign substances into the sump and preventing the backflow of odors and harmful gases inside the sump. Background Technology

[0002] A catch basin is a structure buried underground to collect rainwater falling on various surfaces, such as roads, plazas, parking lots, and sidewalks, and guide it into sewer pipes; a grid-shaped grating is installed on the top of the catch basin to allow rainwater to flow in while permitting the passage of pedestrians and vehicles.

[0003] A grating is a grid-like structure consisting of an outer frame and multiple bars arranged parallel within the frame; it allows rainwater to flow into the catch basin through the spaces between the bars and serves to support the load of pedestrians and vehicles.

[0004] However, conventional gratings have structural characteristics in which the spaces between the bars remain constantly open, so various problems have been continuously raised.

[0005] Foreign substances such as fallen leaves, plastic bags, trash, and soil enter the catch basin through the spaces between the grating bars, causing blockages in the catch basin and sewer pipes. This degrades the drainage function of the catch basin, exacerbating surface flooding damage during heavy rainfall and requiring continuous maintenance personnel and costs for the removal of these substances.

[0006] Furthermore, foul odors and harmful gases such as hydrogen sulfide and ammonia generated by the decomposition of organic matter accumulated inside the sump flow back to the ground surface through the open spaces of the grating, causing discomfort to pedestrians and posing a health threat. In particular, during high-temperature summer environments, the generation of odors and harmful gases increases, significantly deteriorating the environment surrounding the grating.

[0007] Furthermore, if the drainage capacity of the sewer pipes is exceeded during heavy rainfall, sewage inside the catch basin flows back to the surface through the open spaces of the grating, causing problems that contaminate pedestrians and vehicles.

[0008] As an attempt to solve this problem, Korean Registered Patent No. 10-0611047 (hereinafter referred to as the "prior art") discloses a configuration in which one end of a cover is hinged to a cover support frame, an operating member equipped with a basket that converts the water pressure of falling rainwater into rotational force is rotatably connected to the lower part of the cover support frame, and a lifting guide rod on the bottom surface of the cover is connected to the end of an operating lever extended from the basket so that the cover is automatically opened when rainwater flows in.

[0009] However, the prior art adopts a complex interlocking mechanism in which multiple separate components, such as a basket, actuator, operating lever, and lifting guide rod, work in conjunction to open and close the cover, which has the problem of high manufacturing costs and difficulty in installation and maintenance.

[0010] In addition, the prior art has a structure in which the opening and closing mechanism is embedded within the rainwater catchment structure itself, which presents the problem that it is difficult to apply to existing gratings and requires the installation of a separate structure.

[0011] Furthermore, since the entire cover is opened and closed using a simple hinge mechanism without utilizing the grid structure of the grating, it fails to fundamentally solve the problems of foreign matter ingress and odor backflow through the spaces between the bars of the existing grating.

[0012] Therefore, there is a need to develop a new and advanced grating device that can be applied to the grating on the upper part of an existing sump, and in which the rotating plate opens directly and automatically by water pressure without a complex interlocking mechanism, and automatically returns to the closed position without separate operation when the water pressure is relieved, thereby simultaneously realizing the functions of blocking foreign matter inflow and preventing odor backflow. Prior art literature

[0013] Korean Registered Patent No. 10-0611047 The problem to be solved

[0014] The present invention was devised to overcome the problems of the above technology, and its main purpose is to provide a device that simultaneously prevents foreign substances from entering the sump, prevents odor backflow, and allows rainwater to enter the sump without separate operation by equipping a rotating plate and a rotating clip on a grating body installed on the upper part of the sump, so that the rotating plate automatically opens due to water pressure when rainwater flows in and automatically returns to a closed position when the water pressure is relieved.

[0015] Another objective of the present invention is to achieve reliable rotational operation based on the seesaw principle by forming a slit in the rotational plate so that it is fitted and coupled to the crossbar of the grating body, and attaching a rotational clip to the bottom surface at the position where the slit ends to stably set the rotation axis of the rotational plate.

[0016] Another objective of the present invention is to form water collection grooves along both sides of a slit on the upper surface of a rotating plate to collect and store rainwater, and to increase the rotational moment caused by the load of the stored rainwater so that the rotating plate can be quickly opened even by a small amount of precipitation. means of solving the problem

[0017] To achieve the above objective, the automatic opening and closing type sump grating device according to the present invention comprises: a grating body installed on the upper part of a sump, the grating body including a frame forming an outer rim and a plurality of bars arranged side by side within the frame; a rotating plate disposed on a part of the upper surface of the grating body to shield the sump; and a rotating clip rotatably connecting the rotating plate to the grating body; wherein, when rainwater flows in, the rotating plate rotates due to water pressure to open the sump, and when the water pressure is relieved, the rotating plate returns to a closed position.

[0018] In addition, the above-described pivot clip is characterized by including a hook that engages with the above-described crossbar, and a fastening arm that extends in both directions from the lower end of the hook and is coupled to the lower surface of the above-described pivot plate via a fastener.

[0019] In addition, the above-described pivot plate is characterized by having a slit formed from one end in the longitudinal direction to the middle portion, and the pivot clip being coupled to the bottom surface at the position where the slit ends, so as to be fitted and coupled to the crossbar of the grating body. Effects of the invention

[0020] According to the automatic opening and closing type sump grating device of the present invention,

[0021] 1) A rotating plate connected to the grating body via a rotating clip normally blocks the upper part of the sump to prevent the inflow of foreign matter and odor backflow, automatically opens due to water pressure when rainwater occurs to allow rainwater to flow into the sump, and has the advantage of automatically returning to the closed position without separate operation when the water pressure is relieved,

[0022] 2) A slit formed in the rotating plate is fitted into the crossbar of the grating body to prevent the rotating plate from detaching and interfering with the crossbar during rotation, and the end position of the slit serves as the connection point of the rotating clip to form a stable rotation axis of the rotating plate, and

[0023] 3) The weight of the counterweight corrects the weight imbalance of the rotating plate caused by the slit, ensuring the rotating plate's automatic return when water pressure is relieved, and the opening critical water pressure can be set to suit site conditions by adjusting the weight and installation position of the counterweight. [0025] Preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the attached drawings. The attached drawings are not drawn to scale, and the same reference numerals in each drawing refer to the same components.

[0026] The automatic opening and closing type sump grating device of the present invention (hereinafter referred to as the "grating device") is intended to solve the problem of foreign substances such as fallen leaves and trash entering the sump and odors and harmful gases inside the sump flowing back out through the grating openings, by arranging a rotating plate (200) on a part of the upper surface of the grating body (100) and connecting it so as to be rotatable with a rotating clip (300), so that when rainwater flows in, the rotating plate (200) automatically opens due to water pressure and automatically returns to a closed position when the water pressure is relieved, thereby simultaneously blocking the inflow of foreign substances and allowing the inflow of rainwater.

[0027] The configuration and function of the grating device of the present invention are described below with reference to the attached drawings.

[0028] FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a structure in which the combination of the grating body, the pivot plate, and the pivot clip is separated, and FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing a structure in which the combination of the grating body, the pivot plate, and the pivot clip is combined.

[0029] As can be seen from FIGS. 1 and 2, the grating device of the present invention is based on including a grating body (100), a rotating plate (200), and a rotating clip (300).

[0030] The grating body (100) is a grid-shaped structure comprising a frame (110) forming an outer perimeter and a plurality of inter-bars (120) arranged side by side within the frame (110).

[0031] That is, a structure formed in a grid shape that covers the top of a water collection well and allows rainwater to flow into the water collection well is called a grating, and in the present invention, this grating is named the grating body (100).

[0032] In this case, a sump is a structure buried underground to collect rainwater falling on the surface of roads, plazas, parking lots, etc., and guide it into a sewer pipe. It is generally manufactured as a box-shaped structure with a rectangular cross-section made of concrete or brick masonry, but it may also be manufactured as a tubular structure with a circular cross-section or a side ditch-type structure installed on the side of the road.

[0033] The grating body (100) has a frame (110) made of steel mounted on the upper edge of the sump, and a plurality of bars (120) are arranged side by side within the frame (110) to form a grid.

[0034] The frame (110) can be made of square steel pipes or flat steel in the shape of a rectangular frame, and the bar (120) is made of flat steel and welded and fixed to the inside of the frame (110).

[0035] The cross-section of the bar (120) can be arranged in a longitudinal direction with a height greater than the width, taking into account load-bearing performance, and the spacing between the bar (120) is set taking into account drainage performance and walking safety.

[0036] Rainwater flows into the catch basin through the space between these bars (120), and the load of pedestrians and vehicles is distributed and supported by the frame (110) and the bars (120).

[0037] The rotating plate (200) is a flat member or plate-like body placed across the upper surface of the inter-bar (120) of the grating body (100).

[0038] Conventional gratings had a problem in that the space between the bars (120) was always kept open, allowing foreign substances such as fallen leaves and trash to enter the sump and causing foul odors and harmful gases inside the sump to flow back out.

[0039] The rotating plate (200) of the present invention is an openable shielding member added to the grating body (100) to solve this problem, and adds a shielding function for the sump while maintaining the drainage function of the grating body (100).

[0040] The rotating plate (200) may be manufactured to cover a portion of the upper surface of the grating body (100) or to cover the entire upper surface of the grating body (100). It is preferable to divide the upper part of the water collection basin into several rotating plates (200) to flexibly adjust the opening area according to the amount of precipitation.

[0041] Additionally, the rotating plate (200) may be manufactured as a single plate or divided into multiple plate members so that each rotates independently; for the reasons mentioned above, it is preferable to manufacture it as multiple rotating plates (200).

[0042] The thickness of the rotating plate (200) can be manufactured in various values, for example, in the range of 3 mm to 30 mm, to ensure only the prevention of foreign matter from entering or to withstand pedestrian and vehicle loads, and an uneven pattern or a grid pattern to prevent slipping can be formed on the upper surface of the rotating plate (200).

[0043] Additionally, the rotating plate (200) may be made of a metal material such as steel, stainless steel, or aluminum alloy, or may be made of a non-metal material such as fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) or high-strength synthetic resin. Furthermore, the surface of the rotating plate (200) may be treated with plating or paint to ensure corrosion resistance.

[0044] As is well known, the crossbars (120) consist of a plurality of longitudinal crossbars arranged along the length direction of the grating body (100) and a plurality of transverse crossbars arranged across these longitudinal crossbars, and the rotating plate (200) can be manufactured with different structures depending on which direction of the crossbar is used as the axis of rotation.

[0045] In one embodiment, the pivot clip (300) can be connected by being caught on the transverse bar. In this case, the width of the pivot plate (200) can be set to a size that crosses a plurality of longitudinal bars, and the pivot plate (200) can be opened in a manner that lifts up in the longitudinal direction with the pivot clip (300) connected to the transverse bar as an axis.

[0046] In another embodiment, the pivot clip (300) can be connected by being hooked onto the longitudinal bar. In this case, the length of the pivot plate (200) can be set to a size that spans across a plurality of transverse bars, and one side of the pivot plate (200) can be opened in a manner that lifts up in the width direction with the pivot clip (300) connected to the longitudinal bar as an axis.

[0047] That is, the pivot plate (200) is connected to a point on the crossbar (120) via a pivot clip (300), and this connection point becomes a rotation axis, allowing it to be opened by lifting one side up relative to the connection point on a seesaw-like principle.

[0048] In one embodiment, a pivot plate (200) may be connected to a point of a transverse bar extending in the width direction of the grating body (100) via a pivot clip (300). Since the transverse bar extends in the width direction of the grating body (100), when the transverse bar becomes the axis of rotation, the pivot plate (200) rotates in the longitudinal direction around the axis of width. At this time, the width of the pivot plate (200) may be set to a size that crosses a plurality of longitudinal bars, and one side in the longitudinal direction relative to the connection point of the pivot plate (200) may be opened by being lifted up by water pressure.

[0049] In another embodiment, the pivot plate (200) can be connected to a point of a longitudinal bar extending in the longitudinal direction of the grating body (100) via a pivot clip (300). Since the longitudinal bar extends in the longitudinal direction of the grating body (100), when the longitudinal bar becomes the axis of rotation, the pivot plate (200) rotates in the width direction around the longitudinal axis. At this time, the length of the pivot plate (200) can be set to a size that crosses a plurality of transverse bars, and one side in the width direction can be opened by being lifted up by water pressure based on the connection point of the pivot plate (200).

[0050] In the above-described embodiment, it may be understood that one rotating plate (200) is arranged per space among the various spaces created between the bars (120), but it is not limited thereto, and it is also possible to manufacture the rotating plate (200) to cover the spaces between the multiple bars (120) at once. However, in this case, since the rotating plate (200) may get caught on the bar (120) located in the middle when rotating, the rotation may be obstructed, so a slit (210), which is a gap through which the bar (120) passes, may be formed in the rotating plate (200) to avoid interference or getting caught on the bar (120), which will be described later.

[0051] The pivot clip (300) is a type of hinge that connects the crossbar (120) and the pivot plate (200) so that the pivot plate (200) can rotate with the crossbar (120) as the pivot axis.

[0052] The rotation clip (300) is applied to connect the crossbar (120) and the rotation plate (200) so that the rotation plate (200) can freely rotate with the crossbar (120) as the rotation axis, and one side (lower) of the rotation clip (300) is coupled to the crossbar (120) to form a rotation point, and the other side (upper) of the rotation clip (300) is coupled to the bottom surface of the rotation plate (200).

[0053] At this time, due to the structural characteristics in which the rotation clip (300) is coupled to the bottom surface of the rotation plate (200), a problem may occur in which the rotation plate (200) is lifted from the upper surface of the rib (120) by the thickness of the rotation clip (300).

[0054] To solve this, in one embodiment, the thickness of the rotation clip (300) can be minimized to a range of 1 mm to 5 mm, and in another embodiment, a seating groove into which the rotation clip (300) is inserted is formed on the bottom surface of the rotation plate (200), so that the rotation clip (300) is embedded in the seating groove, thereby allowing the bottom surface of the rotation plate (200) to be in close contact with the top surface of the bar (120).

[0055] The material of the pivot clip (300) may be made of a metal material such as steel or stainless steel, and the surface of the pivot clip (300) may be plated or painted to ensure corrosion resistance.

[0056] The pivot clip (300) may have a clip-type structure made by bending a metal material or a rigid material equivalent to metal, such that a connecting portion is formed at the top for joining to the bar (120) and a connecting portion is formed at the bottom for joining to the bottom surface of the pivot plate (200).

[0057] In one embodiment, the pivot clip (300) is manufactured in a clip-type form that is hooked onto the outer surface of the crossbar (120), and the lower end of the pivot clip (300) is connected to the bottom surface of the pivot plate (200) so that the crossbar (120) forms the axis of rotation of the pivot plate (200).

[0058] In another embodiment, it can be manufactured as a hinge bracket type in which a bracket is fixed to the side of the bar (120) by bolt or welding, a hinge pin is connected to the bracket, and the bottom surface of the pivot plate (200) is connected to the hinge pin.

[0059] In another embodiment, a pin hole may be formed through the rib (120) and a pin may be inserted into the pin hole, and the pivot clip (300) may be manufactured in a pivot pin type such that the pin is used as an axis to connect to the bottom surface of the pivot plate (200).

[0060] Furthermore, depending on the size and load of the rotating plate (200), the rotating clip (300) can be connected to multiple locations on the bottom surface of the rotating plate (200).

[0061] At this time, it is preferable for the pivot clip (300) to be attached to the bottom surface of the longitudinal center portion of the pivot plate (200) in order to secure balanced pivoting motion according to the seesaw principle, and the method of attachment between the pivot clip (300) and the bottom surface of the pivot plate (200) is not particularly limited as long as it is a method that can firmly fix the pivot clip (300) to the bottom surface of the pivot plate (200), such as welding, bolt connection, screw connection, or rivet connection.

[0062] Hereinafter, the function and operation of the grating device of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached FIGS. 1 and 2.

[0063] As shown in FIG. 1, the pivot plate (200) is positioned across a plurality of longitudinal bars (120) and coupled to the transverse bars via a pivot clip (300) and mounted on the grating body (100).

[0064] In FIG. 1, the pivot clip (300) is shown as a clip-type structure including a ring shape that hooks onto the top of the transverse bar and an arm shape that is coupled to the bottom surface of the pivot plate (200), but the specific structure of the pivot clip (300) will be described later.

[0065] Referring to FIG. 1, it can be seen that four pivot plates (200) are arranged in two rows and two columns on the upper surface of the grating body (100), and each pivot plate (200) is manufactured to be sized to cross a plurality of longitudinal bars (120).

[0066] As shown in FIG. 2, with the rotating plate (200) mounted on the grating body (100), the rotating plate (200) rests on the upper surface of the longitudinal bar (120) to shield the upper part of the sump.

[0067] At this time, the pivot clip (300) is coupled to the lower surface of the longitudinal center portion of the pivot plate (200) and rotates the transverse bar as the axis of rotation.

[0068] Normally, when rainwater does not occur, the rotating plate (200) maintains a closed position on the upper surface of the crossbar (120) to block foreign matter from entering the sump and odor backflow.

[0069] When rainwater occurs, rainwater begins to accumulate on the upper surface of the rotating plate (200), and as the water pressure of the rainwater flowing in through the space between the inter-bars (120) of the grating body (100) acts from the connection point of the rotating clip (300) on the lower surface of the rotating plate (200) toward the end where the slit (210) of the rotating plate (200) is formed, a rotational movement occurs in which the end where the slit (210) of the rotating plate (200) is formed is lifted up with the connection point of the rotating clip (300) as the axis of rotation.

[0070] As the side of the rotating plate (200) where the slit (210) is formed is lifted up, a space is formed between the rotating plate (200) and the crossbar (120), allowing rainwater to flow into the catch basin.

[0071] When the precipitation stops and the water pressure is relieved, the center of gravity of the rotating plate (200) is biased in the closing direction relative to the connection point of the rotating clip (300), so the rotating plate (200) automatically returns to the closed position and the upper part of the sump is sealed again.

[0072] In summary, the grating device of the present invention provides the characteristic that a rotating plate (200), which is coupled to a grating body (100) via a rotating clip (300), normally blocks the upper part of the sump to prevent the inflow of foreign substances and the backflow of odors, and when rainwater occurs, the rotating plate (200) is automatically opened by water pressure to allow rainwater to flow into the sump, and when the water pressure is relieved, the rotating plate (200) automatically returns to a closed position.

[0073] As described above, the rotating plate (200) is opened by water pressure using the connection point of the rotating clip (300) as the axis of rotation, based on the principle of a seesaw. However, if excessive water pressure is applied, excessive rotation may occur in which the rotating plate (200) rotates more than necessary. In this case, the rotating plate (200) may fall into the sump, or an excessive load may be concentrated at the connection point of the rotating clip (300), causing the rotating clip (300) to deform or break.

[0074] To solve this, a projection (130) is formed protruding toward the space between the ribs (120) on one side of the bottom surface of the rib (120).

[0075] FIG. 3 is a plan view showing a projection formed on the bottom side of the interval of the grating body.

[0076] The protrusion (130) acts as a stopper that prevents further rotation of the rotating plate (200) by catching on the bottom surface of the rotating plate (200) when the rotating plate (200) rotates excessively.

[0077] The protrusion height of the projection (130) determines the maximum opening angle of the rotating plate (200), and the higher the protrusion height of the projection (130), the smaller the maximum opening angle of the rotating plate (200), and the lower the protrusion height of the projection (130), the larger the maximum opening angle of the rotating plate (200).

[0078] The protrusion (130) can be manufactured in various shapes such as cylindrical, square, or wedge-shaped, and the protrusion (130) can be formed by welding, bolting, integral molding, etc. on the side corner portion facing the adjacent bar (120) among the bottom surfaces of the bar (120).

[0079] Looking at the direction of the protrusion (130), in one embodiment, the protrusion (130) can be formed to protrude vertically downward from the bottom surface of the rib (120) toward the space between the ribs (120).

[0080] In another embodiment, the projection (130) may be formed to protrude at an angle of 10° to 45° in the direction of an adjacent rib (120) from the bottom side corner portion of the rib (120) located in the arrangement section of the rotating plate (200). At this time, the point in time when the bottom surface of the rotating plate (200) contacts the projection (130) varies depending on the angle of inclination of the projection (130), thereby determining the maximum opening angle of the rotating plate (200).

[0081] As an example of the number and arrangement of the protrusions (130), one protrusion (130) may be formed on one side of the bottom surface of each bar (120).

[0082] In another embodiment, a plurality of protrusions (130) may be formed at intervals along the length direction of each bar (120) on the bottom surface of each bar (120), thereby preventing excessive rotation over the entire length of the rotation plate (200).

[0083] In another embodiment, protrusions (130) may be selectively formed only on some of the multiple ribs (120).

[0084] That is, the protrusion (130) formed protruding from the bottom surface of the rib (120) can physically prevent excessive rotation of the rotation plate (200), thereby providing the advantage of preventing the rotation plate (200) from falling and the rotation clip (300) from being deformed or damaged.

[0085] FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view illustrating the specific structure of a pivot clip and the combined structure of a fastener implemented with a pin and a strip.

[0086] In the preceding description, it was stated that the pivot clip (300) can be made in a structure such as a clip type, a hinge bracket type, or a pivot pin type. It is preferable to manufacture it in a clip-type structure so that it can be simply hooked and connected to the bar (120) without separate processing or attachments, and so that installation and replacement are easy.

[0087] Specifically, the pivot clip (300) consists of a hook (310) that is hooked onto the upper end of the bar (120) and a fastening arm (320) that is formed to extend both ends of the hook (310) and is coupled to the lower surface of the pivot plate (200) via a fastener (330).

[0088] The hook (310) can be manufactured as a closed ring that completely wraps around the top of the bar (120), or as an open ring with an opening formed at the bottom so that it can be hooked onto the bar (120). Since it can be hooked directly onto the bar (120) without a separate separation process, making installation and replacement easy, it is preferable to manufacture it as an open ring, that is, with both ends open.

[0089] In this way, due to the structure in which the hook (310) wraps around the upper part of the bar (120), the bar (120) itself acts as the rotation axis of the rotation plate (200).

[0090] The fastening arm (320) is a metal piece that extends in both directions from the lower end of the locking ring (310), and a fastening hole is formed through the end of the fastening arm (320).

[0091] At this time, a fastener (330) passes through the fastening hole, and the fastening arm (320) is coupled to the bottom surface of the rotating plate (200) via the fastener (330). In addition, a through hole is formed in the crossbar (120) of the grating body (100) corresponding to the fastening hole, and the fastener (330) passes through both the fastening hole and the through hole, thereby fixing the rotating clip (300) to the crossbar (120).

[0092] In one embodiment, the fastener (330) may be manufactured in the form of a pin. The pin-shaped fastener (330) is coupled by inserting the pin into a pin hole formed through the end of the fastening arm (320), thereby allowing the fastening arm (320) to be rotatably coupled to the bottom surface of the rotating plate (200).

[0093] In another embodiment, the fastener (330) may be manufactured in the form of a strip. The strip-shaped fastener (330) is joined in such a way that a metal strip-shaped strip wraps around and tightens the fastening arm (320) to the bottom surface of the rotating plate (200) to secure it.

[0094] When the rotating plate (200) rotates due to water pressure, the catch ring (310) rotates along the outer surface of the bar (120), and the fastening arm (320) rotates together while supporting the bottom surface of the rotating plate (200) connected via the fastener (330), thereby enabling the opening and closing operation of the rotating plate (200).

[0095] In this way, the rotating clip (300), which consists of a locking ring (310) and a fastening arm (320), allows the rotating plate (200) to be stably opened and closed with the bar (120) as the axis of rotation, and the coupling structure of the fastening arm (320) via a fastener (330) provides the characteristic of preventing the rotating plate (200) from falling off.

[0096] The rotation plate (200) of the present invention is arranged across a plurality of crossbars (120). If the rotation plate (200) is simply placed on top of the crossbars (120), the rotation may be hindered or the rotation plate (200) may fall off due to interference with the crossbars (120) during rotation.

[0097] To solve this, a slit (210) can be formed in the rotating plate (200).

[0098] Figure 5 is a plan view showing a slit formed in a rotating plate.

[0099] The slit (210) is a gap formed by cutting from one end of the longitudinal direction of the rotating plate (200) to the middle portion, and is formed with a width corresponding to the thickness of the rib (120), so that the rotating plate (200) is joined to the rib (120) in such a way that the rib (120) is fitted into the slit (210). It is advantageous to form the width of the slit (210) to be larger than the thickness of the rib (120) in the range of 0.5 mm to 2 mm so that the rib (120) is fitted into the slit (210) without excessive play.

[0100] It is preferable that the length of the slit (210) be formed to the middle portion in the longitudinal direction of the rotating plate (200).

[0101] This is because if the slit (210) is formed to be excessively long beyond the middle section, interference with the interlock (120) may occur in the section after the slit (210), thereby hindering the rotation of the rotation plate (200), and if the slit (210) is formed to be too short, the connection point of the rotation clip (300) may be excessively off-center from the center of gravity of the rotation plate (200), causing the rotational movement according to the seesaw principle to become unstable.

[0102] As an example of the installation location of the slit (210), the slit (210) may be formed along the centerline in the width direction of the rotating plate (200). At this time, both sides of the rotating plate (200) are symmetrical with respect to the slit (210), so that the load acting on the rotating plate (200) is evenly distributed.

[0103] In another embodiment, the slit (210) may be formed eccentrically from the centerline in the width direction of the rotating plate (200). The eccentric slit (210) allows for adjustment of the opening sensitivity by water pressure by varying the area ratio of both sides of the rotating plate (200) with respect to the slit (210).

[0104] As an example of the number of slits (210), only one slit (210) may be formed in the rotating plate (200).

[0105] In another embodiment, a plurality of slits (210) may be formed in the rotating plate (200) at positions corresponding to the spacing of the inter-bars (120).

[0106] When a plurality of slits (210) are formed, a plurality of interlocks (120) are inserted into each slit (210), and the rotating plate (200) is simultaneously coupled to the plurality of interlocks (120), thereby increasing the coupling stability of the rotating plate (200).

[0107] A pivot clip (300) is attached to the bottom surface at the location where the slit (210) ends, so that the end point of the slit (210) serves as the attachment point of the pivot clip (300) and as the axis of rotation of the pivot plate (200).

[0108] In this way, the rotating plate (200) having the slit (210) formed therein is fitted into the crossbar (120) to prevent interference and detachment with the crossbar (120) during rotation, and the end position of the slit (210) serves as the connection point of the rotating clip (300) to form a stable rotation axis of the rotating plate (200), thereby providing the characteristic of forming a stable rotation axis of the rotating plate (200).

[0109] Due to the structural characteristics of the rotating plate (200) being placed on the crossbar (120) of the grating body (100) to shield the water collection well, rainwater falling on the upper surface of the rotating plate (200) is immediately washed away along the slope the moment the surface tension is exceeded, which may cause a problem in which sufficient water pressure required for opening the rotating plate (200) is not formed.

[0110] To solve this, it is more preferable that a water collection groove (220) be formed along both sides of the slit (210) on the upper surface of the rotating plate (200).

[0111] FIG. 6 is a perspective view illustrating a structure in which a water collection groove is formed in a rotating plate.

[0112] A recessed groove formed along the longitudinal direction of the rotating plate (200) on one side of the upper surface of the rotating plate (200) serves to collect and store rainwater falling on the upper surface of the rotating plate (200).

[0113] The water collection groove (220) can be formed on the upper surface of the rotating plate (200) regardless of the presence or absence of the slit (210).

[0114] In particular, as can be seen from FIG. 6, in the rotating plate (200) spanning two bars (120) via the slit (210), the water collection groove (220) is an indentation formed along the longitudinal direction on both sides of the slit (210).

[0115] That is, one or more water collection grooves (220) are formed along the longitudinal direction on the upper surface of the rotating plate (200) where the slit (210) is not formed, or are formed on each side of the slit (210) in the rotating plate (200) where the slit (210) is formed, and in either structure, they serve to collect and store rainwater to increase the rotational moment acting on the rotating plate (200).

[0116] As an example of the cross-sectional shape of the water collection groove (220), the water collection groove (220) may be formed as an indented groove with an elliptical cross section. The water collection groove (220) with an elliptical cross section has an inner surface that is curved so that rainwater is guided into the groove and the collected rainwater gathers at the center of the groove.

[0117] In another embodiment, the water collection groove (220) may be formed with a U-shaped cross section. The water collection groove (220) with a U-shaped cross section has a flat bottom surface and can store more rainwater compared to an elliptical cross section.

[0118] In another embodiment, the water collection groove (220) may be formed with a V-shaped cross section. The water collection groove (220) with a V-shaped cross section has a structure in which rainwater naturally concentrates at the lowest point of the groove.

[0119] It is preferable that the depth of the water collection groove (220) be formed in a range of 10% to 30% of the thickness of the rotating plate (200). This is because if the depth of the water collection groove (220) is less than 10% of the thickness of the rotating plate (200), the rainwater storage capacity is insufficient, making it difficult to form sufficient water pressure, and if it exceeds 30%, the structural strength of the rotating plate (200) may be reduced.

[0120] If we look at the significance of the water collection groove (220) in terms of physical principles, in a structure where the water collection groove (220) is not formed, rainwater falling on the upper surface of the rotating plate (200) is immediately lost the moment it exceeds the surface tension, making it difficult to accumulate a sufficient rainwater load on the upper surface of the rotating plate (200).

[0121] On the other hand, in a structure where a water collection groove (220) is formed, rainwater is collected and stored within the water collection groove (220), so the rainwater load gradually accumulates on the upper surface of the rotating plate (200).

[0122] The rotational torque (T) acting on the rotational plate (200) is calculated as the product of the mass (m) of rainwater stored in the collection groove (220), the acceleration due to gravity (g), and the moment arm (L) from the point of connection of the rotational clip (300) to the collection groove (220), i.e., T = m × g × L. As the collection groove (220) stores rainwater, the rotational torque (T) increases, thereby advancing the point at which it exceeds the closing direction restoration torque of the rotational plate (200). As a result, the rotational plate (200) can be opened quickly even with a small amount of precipitation.

[0123] In this way, the water collection groove (220) collects and stores rainwater to increase the rotational torque, thereby increasing the opening sensitivity of the rotational plate (200) and enabling rapid inflow of rainwater into the water collection well.

[0124] The previously described slit (210) is formed from one end of the longitudinal direction of the rotating plate (200) to the middle portion, so that the end side where the slit (210) is formed has a structure that is relatively lighter than the other end side relative to the joining point of the rotating clip (300) by the amount of material removed.

[0125] In this case, the center of gravity of the rotating plate (200), which has the joining point of the rotating clip (300) as the axis of rotation, is shifted toward the direction of the end where the slit (210) is formed, so that the rotating plate (200) cannot stably return to the closed position even after the water pressure is relieved.

[0126] To solve this, a weight (230) may be installed on the bottom surface of the opposite end of the rotating plate (200) where the slit (210) is formed.

[0127] FIG. 7 is a cross-sectional view of the rotational state illustrating a structure in which a weight is formed on a rotational plate.

[0128] The weight (230) is a weight added to the bottom surface of the other end of the rotating plate (200), and moves the center of gravity of the rotating plate (200) toward the other end based on the connection point of the rotating clip (300), thereby providing a restoring force that causes the rotating plate (200) to automatically return to the closed position when the water pressure is relieved.

[0129] If we examine the significance of the weight (230) in terms of physical principles, the restoring torque (T_r) acting on the rotating plate (200) is calculated as the product of the mass (m_w) of the weight (230), the acceleration due to gravity (g), and the moment arm (L_w) from the point of connection of the rotating clip (300) to the weight (230), i.e., T_r = m_w × g × L_w.

[0130] When the opening torque (T_o) caused by water pressure exceeds the restoring torque (T_r), the rotating plate (200) opens, and when the precipitation stops and the opening torque (T_o) decreases to less than the restoring torque (T_r), the rotating plate (200) automatically returns to the closed position by the restoring torque (T_r) of the weight (230).

[0131] At this time, the opening critical hydraulic pressure of the rotating plate (200) can be set during the design stage by adjusting the moment arm (L_w) according to the mass (m_w) of the weight (230) and the installation position.

[0132] It is preferable that the weight of the weight (230) be manufactured in the range of 10% to 40% of the weight of the rotating plate (200).

[0133] If the weight of the weight (230) is less than 10% of the weight of the rotating plate (200), the restoring torque is insufficient and the rotating plate (200) may not return to the closed position, and if it exceeds 40%, the restoring torque is excessive and the rotating plate (200) may not open even with a small amount of precipitation. The material of the weight (230) may be made of a material that has a large weight and excellent corrosion resistance, such as steel, cast iron, or lead alloy.

[0134] The weight (230) can be implemented in various installation locations or numbers.

[0135] In one embodiment, only one weight (230) may be installed on the bottom surface of the opposite end of the end where the slit (210) is formed. In this case, the weight (230) is installed at the position furthest from the connection point of the pivot clip (300) to secure the maximum moment arm (L_w), thereby enabling sufficient restoring torque to be generated with a relatively small amount of weight.

[0136] In another embodiment, a plurality of weights (230) may be installed along the direction of the connection point of the pivot clip (300) at the opposite end of the end where the slit (210) is formed.

[0137] In the case where multiple weights (230) are installed, in one embodiment, multiple weights (230) may be installed with the same weight. Multiple weights (230) with the same weight evenly distribute the restoring torque to the other end of the rotating plate (200), thereby ensuring that a uniform restoring force acts without twisting of the rotating plate (200).

[0138] As another embodiment, a plurality of weights (230) may be installed with different weights. Specifically, since the moment arm (L_w) becomes shorter the closer it is to the connection point of the rotation clip (300), weights (230) closer to the connection point must be installed with a larger weight to generate the same restoring torque.

[0139] On the other hand, the weight (230) located at the opposite end of the slit (210) formed therein has the longest moment arm (L_w) from the connection point of the rotation clip (300), so it can generate sufficient restoring torque even with a relatively light weight.

[0140] In this way, by varying the weight of the weight (230) according to the position, a structure can be implemented in which the restoring torque acts in stages according to the change in precipitation amount, so that when there is light precipitation, only some of the weights (230) contribute to the restoring force, and when there is heavy precipitation, all of the weights (230) contribute to the restoring force.

[0141] In summary, the weight (230) has the characteristic of correcting the weight imbalance of the rotating plate (200) caused by the slit (210) and providing a restoring force that automatically returns the rotating plate (200) to the closed position when the water pressure is relieved.

[0142] Furthermore, in order to allow the weight of the weight (230) to be adjusted on-site according to the precipitation characteristics of the installation area or the specifications of the catch basin, the weight (230) can be detachably installed on the bottom surface of the rotating plate (200).

[0143] As an example of a detachable structure for a weight (230), a fastening hole with screw threads is formed on the bottom surface of a rotating plate (200), and a bolt hole corresponding to the weight (230) is formed so that the weight (230) can be detachably coupled to the bottom surface of the rotating plate (200) via a bolt. The bolt coupling method has excellent fastening strength, so the weight (230) can be prevented from coming off even during repeated rotational movements of the rotating plate (200), and the weight (230) can be easily replaced by loosening the bolt.

[0144] In another embodiment, a sliding rail groove is formed along the longitudinal direction on the bottom surface of the pivot plate (200), and a projection corresponding to the sliding rail groove is formed on the upper surface of the weight (230), so that the weight (230) can be inserted along the sliding rail groove and coupled.

[0145] The sliding coupling method has the advantage of allowing the installation position of the weight (230) to be freely moved along the rail groove, thereby allowing the length of the moment arm (L_w) to be adjusted on-site. A stopper can be formed in the sliding rail groove to prevent the weight (230) from coming off.

[0146] In another embodiment, a hook catch groove is formed on the bottom surface of the pivot plate (200), and a hook that engages with the hook catch groove is formed on the top surface of the weight (230), so that the weight (230) can be engaged with the hook catch groove. The hook engagement method allows the weight (230) to be attached and detached without tools, enabling quick replacement on-site.

[0147] In this way, the detachably installed weight (230) enables adjustment of weight and installation position according to the installation environment, thereby providing the advantage of being able to set the opening critical water pressure of the rotating plate (200) on-site.

[0148] Since the rotating plate (200) is structured to open by water pressure, a sufficient rotational moment must be formed at the initial stage of opening so that the rotating plate (200) can open quickly. However, in a structure where the bottom surface of the rotating plate (200) is flat, rainwater flowing in through the slit (210) flows down the bottom surface of the rotating plate (200) and disperses in all directions, so a problem may occur where the energy of the inflow of rainwater is not sufficiently converted into a rotational moment. To solve this, a rotational auxiliary rib (240) is formed on the bottom surface of the rotating plate (200).

[0149] FIG. 8 is a cross-sectional view illustrating a structure in which a rotational auxiliary rib is formed on a rotational plate.

[0150] The rotational assist rib (240) is a protruding rib that extends from one end where the slit (210) is formed on the bottom surface of the rotational plate (200) to terminate before reaching the connection point of the rotational clip (300), and is formed in a tapered shape such that the protrusion height gradually increases as it moves away from the end where the slit (210) is formed.

[0151] For example, the protrusion height of the rotational assist rib (240) can be formed to start in the range of 1 mm to 3 mm at one end where the slit (210) is formed and reach in the range of 5 mm to 15 mm at the end point, and the width of the rotational assist rib (240) can be formed in the range of 3 mm to 10 mm.

[0152] The rotational auxiliary rib (240) can be formed by extrusion or forging integrally with the rotational plate (200), or by welding it to the bottom surface of the rotational plate (200).

[0153] The rotational assist rib (240) may be formed as a single one, or multiple ribs may be formed, one on each side of the slit (210).

[0154] Looking at the function of the rotational assist rib (240), rainwater flowing in through the slit (210) strikes the rotational assist rib (240) formed on the bottom surface of the rotational plate (200), thereby forming a rotational moment in the direction of lifting the end of the rotational plate (200) where the slit (210) is formed.

[0155] Due to the tapered shape of the rotational assist rib (240), rainwater is guided from one end where the slit (210) is formed toward the joining point of the rotational clip (300), and as it gets closer to the joining point of the rotational clip (300), the height of the rotational assist rib (240) increases, thereby increasing the collision area with the rainwater and maximizing the rotational moment in the open direction.

[0156] When this rotation moment exceeds the restoring torque of the weight (230), the opening rotation of the rotation plate (200) around the rotation clip (300) is initiated.

[0157] The key design feature of the rotational assist rib (240) is that it is formed to terminate before reaching the connection point of the rotational clip (300).

[0158] Conventional grating plates have been equipped with a simple flat plate, a full-length reinforcing rib, or a thickness increase method. In such structures, the reinforcing rib or additional thickness extends beyond the connection point of the pivot clip (300) to the direction in which the weight (230) is installed, resulting in the following three problems.

[0159] First, as the weight in the direction where the weight (230) is installed increases, the restoring torque becomes excessively large, causing a problem in which the critical water pressure required to open the rotating plate (200) increases.

[0160] Second, due to the increase in mass in the direction where the weight (230) is installed, the rotational inertia of the rotating plate (200) increases, causing a problem where the initial rotational speed of the opening decreases.

[0161] Third, if the reinforcing rib extends beyond the connection point of the pivot clip (300) in the direction where the weight (230) is installed, rainwater is also guided in that direction, and an additional pivot moment in the closed direction is generated, thereby causing the open moment to be offset.

[0162] In contrast, the rotation assist rib (240) of the present invention is terminated before reaching the connection point of the rotation clip (300), so that it is selectively formed only on the end side where the slit (210) is formed, i.e., the area where open rotation is initiated.

[0163] By terminating the rotational assist rib (240) before the connection point of the rotational clip (300), the increase in weight and rotational inertia in the direction where the weight (230) is installed is suppressed, and the impact energy of rainwater flowing in through the slit (210) can be concentrated and converted only into the rotational moment in the opening direction. As a result, the rotational assist rib (240) provides the characteristic of increasing the initial opening moment of the rotational plate (200) even with a small amount of precipitation, thereby lowering the opening critical water pressure.

[0164] In this way, the rotational assist rib (240) provides a characteristic that increases the initial rotational moment through a tapered structure selectively formed only in the section prior to the connection point of the rotational clip (300), while suppressing the increase in weight and inertia in the direction where the weight (230) is installed, and this has technical significance that is structurally differentiated from conventional simple reinforcing ribs or thickness increase methods.

[0165] As explained above, the configuration and operation of the automatic opening and closing type sump grating device according to the present invention have been described in the above description and drawings; however, this is merely an example, and the concept of the present invention is not limited to the above description and drawings. It is understood that various changes and modifications are possible within the scope of the technical concept of the present invention. Explanation of the symbols
