Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a die-casting device that does not require a ladle, has a compact molten metal supply structure, and can lower casting costs by producing only the appropriate amount of molten metal required for casting. Background Technology

[0002] Generally, die casting refers to a casting method in which molten metal is poured into a mold machined to match the casting shape to obtain a casting of a desired shape.

[0003] As shown in FIG. 1, a conventional die-casting device is structured such that it is equipped with a fixed mold (10) and a movable mold (20) that form a cavity (C) when molded, and a sleeve (11) with a molten metal injection port is installed in the fixed mold (10), and a plunger (12) is installed in the sleeve (11) to insert the molten metal injected into the sleeve (11) into the cavity (C).

[0004] A conventional die-casting device of this type manufactures a casting by using a ladle (13) to inject molten metal into the injection port of a sleeve (11), and then using a plunger (12) to pressurize the injected molten metal and push it into a cavity (C).

[0005] However, conventional die-casting devices as described above require not only a ladle (13) to receive molten metal, but also large-scale essential equipment such as a melting furnace for making molten metal and an ingot feeding device for automatically feeding ingots that serve as fuel to the melting furnace. As a result, the device becomes complex, the size of the workplace increases, and the equipment costs are excessively high.

[0006] In addition, conventional die-casting devices have a problem in which the quality of the molten metal deteriorates as external impurities flow into the open melting furnace side when the ingot is fed.

[0007] In addition, conventional die-casting devices have the problem of having to produce more molten metal than is actually required for casting, as a certain amount of molten metal must be contained in the melting furnace in order to smoothly supply molten metal to the ladle (13).

[0008] As such, conventional die-casting devices not only consume an excessive amount of ingots beyond what is necessary, but also require maintaining the melting furnace at a constant temperature until casting is completed, which leads to a significant increase in manufacturing costs due to the excessive use of thermal energy. [0009] Korean Registered Patent Publication No. 10-2427198 The problem to be solved

[0010] The present invention was devised to solve the aforementioned problems, and aims to provide a die casting device that can reduce equipment costs by improving the structure of ingot input and molten metal supply, prevent the inflow of impurities into the melting furnace, and lower casting costs by producing only the appropriate amount of molten metal required for casting. means of solving the problem

[0011] To achieve the above objective, the die casting device of the present invention comprises: a melting furnace having an open upper portion into which a spherical ingot is introduced and a molten metal discharge port having a diameter smaller than the diameter of the ingot; a first valve for opening and closing the open upper portion of the melting furnace; a molten metal transfer pipe having an S shape installed in the vertical direction at the molten metal discharge port, which directly transfers the molten metal discharged through the molten metal discharge port to a sleeve; and a first gas supply pipe that injects an inert gas into the interior of the molten metal transfer pipe to increase the internal pressure of the molten metal transfer pipe so as to move the molten metal contained in the molten metal transfer pipe to the sleeve.

[0012] In addition, the first valve may comprise a body portion seated on the open upper portion of the melting furnace, a sealing portion formed to protrude from the bottom portion of the body portion with the same diameter as the open upper portion and fitted in close contact with the open upper portion, an ingot passage hole formed vertically in the body portion and the sealing portion, and a valve body for opening and closing the ingot passage hole.

[0013] In addition, a hopper for feeding ingots is installed at the upper part of the above-mentioned open upper section, and a stopper pin that moves back and forth to restrict or allow the discharge of ingots may be installed at the lower part of the hopper.

[0014] In addition, a second valve for controlling the supply of molten metal to the sleeve may be provided at the other end of the molten metal transfer pipe facing the sleeve.

[0015] In addition, the molten metal transfer pipe may be an S-shaped pipe installed in the vertical direction.

[0016] Meanwhile, a first heater for heating the melting furnace is installed on the outer side of the melting furnace, and the first heater may be a high-frequency heater in the form of a coil that wraps around the melting furnace in a spiral shape.

[0017] In addition, a second heater for insulating the molten metal transfer pipe may also be provided.

[0018] In this case, the second heater may be a heating coil wound around a molten metal transfer pipe.

[0019] In addition, an insulating pipe surrounding the above-mentioned molten metal transfer pipe may be further provided.

[0020] Meanwhile, it is desirable to further provide a vacuum suction pipe that creates a vacuum inside the melting furnace into which the ingot is introduced.

[0021] In this case, a second gas supply pipe for injecting inert gas into the vacuum-state melting furnace may also be provided.

[0022] In addition, it is preferable that the second gas supply pipe and the first gas supply pipe inject inert gas at the same pressure when moving the molten metal to the sleeve. Effects of the invention

[0023] The die casting device of the present invention configured as described above utilizes spherical ingots, thereby facilitating the transport of ingots. Furthermore, since the ingots are supplied to the melting furnace by dropping them through a hopper, the ingot supply structure is simplified and configured compactly, which can be expected to reduce equipment costs.

[0024] In addition, since the present invention is configured so that the molten metal produced in the melting furnace is directly delivered to the sleeve through the molten metal transfer pipe, unlike conventional methods, the use of equipment such as a ladle is unnecessary, and only the appropriate amount of molten metal required for casting can be produced. This allows the molten metal supply structure to be simplified and compactly configured, and as the molten metal supply speed increases, productivity is improved. Furthermore, by preventing the excessive use of ingots and excessive energy consumption for heating the melting furnace, it is possible to expect the effect of drastically reducing overall casting costs.

[0025] In addition, when the present invention is equipped with a vacuum suction pipe, the melting of the ingot is carried out after the inside of the melting furnace is made into a vacuum state, thereby blocking external impurities from entering the molten metal and having the effect of greatly improving the quality of the molten metal.

[0026] In addition, the present invention is configured to transfer and supply molten metal to a sleeve using the pressure of an inert gas injected through a first gas supply pipe installed in the molten metal transfer pipe, thereby having the effect of easily and precisely controlling the amount of molten metal supplied. [0034] Hereinafter, in describing an embodiment of the present invention in detail with reference to the drawings, the same reference numerals are used for identical components, and for clarity, only the different parts are described primarily to avoid duplication as much as possible.

[0035] FIG. 2 is a diagram showing the configuration of a die-casting device according to the present invention, and FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of FIG. 2. As shown, the die-casting device according to the present invention includes a melting furnace (100), a first valve (200), a molten metal transfer pipe (300), and a first gas supply pipe (400).

[0036] The melting furnace (100) is a place where an ingot is melted to produce molten metal, and has an open upper section (110) into which the ingot is introduced and a molten metal discharge port (120). The open upper section is formed at the top to facilitate the smooth supply of the ingot, and the molten metal discharge port (120) is formed at the bottom to facilitate the discharge of the molten metal.

[0037] The first valve (200) is installed at the top of the melting furnace (100) to open and close the open upper section (110).

[0038] In this case, the first valve (200) may be provided with a body part (210) that is seated on the open upper part (110) of the melting furnace (100), a sealing part (220) that is formed to protrude from the bottom of the body part (210) with the same diameter as the open upper part (110) and is fitted in close contact with the open upper part (110), an ingot passing hole (230) formed vertically in the body part (210) and the sealing part (220), and a valve body (240) that opens and closes the ingot passing hole (230).

[0039] Therefore, the ingot being fed into the melting furnace (100) is possible only when the valve body (240) of the first valve (200) has the ingot passing hole (230) open.

[0040] Meanwhile, a driving member (250) that provides opening and closing force to the valve body (240) is installed in the above body part (210).

[0041] In this embodiment, the valve body (240) is a disc that opens and closes the ingot passage hole (230) through a sliding method, and the driving member (250) is a cylinder unit that slides the valve body (240), but this is not limited thereto and various forms and driving methods may be applied.

[0042] The first valve (200) configured in this manner seals the open upper portion (110) to prevent outside air from flowing in and out of the melting furnace (100) during casting, and is removed from the open upper portion (110) of the melting furnace (100) to improve workability during maintenance of the melting furnace (100).

[0043] In this case, a bolt-fastening flange portion (130, 260) is formed at the top of each of the first valve (200) and the melting furnace (100) so that they can be securely fixed to each other using bolts.

[0044] Meanwhile, a hopper (T) for feeding ingots into an ingot passage hole (230) may be installed on the upper part of the first valve (200).

[0045] In this case, it is preferable to install a stopper pin (500) at the bottom of the hopper (T) that moves back and forth to restrict or allow the discharge of the ingot.

[0046] Therefore, a large amount of ingots is stored in the hopper (T), and when necessary, the ingot passage hole (230) is opened using the stopper pin (500), and the ingots fall freely from the hopper (T) and are automatically fed into the melting furnace (100), so the supply of ingots is very easy and convenient.

[0047] In addition, the melting furnace (100) may be formed in a tapered shape that converges toward the molten metal discharge port (120).

[0048] In this case, since a number of ingots introduced into the melting furnace (100) move sequentially to the molten metal discharge port (120), the phenomenon of the molten metal discharge port (120) being blocked by ingots is prevented.

[0049] According to the present invention, the ingot is formed in a spherical shape. When the ingot is formed in a spherical shape, the mobility of the ingot is improved, making it very easy to transport the ingot.

[0050] In this case, the diameter of the molten metal discharge port (120) is formed to be smaller than the diameter of the ingot so that the molten metal discharge port (120) is sealed before melting, preventing the ingot from being discharged into the molten metal transfer pipe (300). It is preferable that the diameter of the molten metal discharge port (120) be formed to a diameter corresponding to the diameter of the ingot that is 40 to 60% melted so that sufficient molten metal can be obtained.

[0051] The above molten metal transfer pipe (300) is connected at one end to the molten metal discharge port (120) of the melting furnace (100) and at the other end to the sleeve (S) to directly transfer the molten metal discharged from the melting furnace (100) to the sleeve (S). A second valve (600) for controlling the supply of molten metal to the sleeve (S) is provided at the other end of the above molten metal transfer pipe (300).

[0052] Therefore, since a ladle is not required to receive molten metal from the melting furnace (100) and supply it to the sleeve (S), the molten metal supply structure becomes simple and compact, and the equipment costs can be reduced accordingly. In addition, as the molten metal supply speed increases, productivity is greatly improved.

[0053] In addition, it is preferable that the molten metal transfer pipe (300) be formed in an S-shape installed in the vertical direction.

[0054] In this case, due to the S-shaped characteristics, the flow rate of the molten metal supplied to the sleeve (S) can be easily controlled by utilizing the water level of the molten metal contained in the molten metal transfer pipe (300).

[0055] The first gas supply pipe (400) injects an inert gas, such as nitrogen, into the interior of the molten metal transfer pipe (300) so that the molten metal contained in the molten metal transfer pipe (300) can move to the sleeve (S), thereby increasing the internal pressure of the molten metal transfer pipe (300).

[0056] It is preferable that the first gas supply pipe (400) be connected to one end of the molten metal transfer pipe (300) facing the molten metal discharge port (120) of the melting furnace (100) so as to be positioned above the molten metal level.

[0057] In this case, the internal pressure of the molten metal transfer pipe (300) above the molten metal level rises in proportion to the pressure of the inert gas injected through the first gas supply pipe (400), and as the molten metal level inside the molten metal transfer pipe (300) rises in proportion to the rising internal pressure of the molten metal transfer pipe (300), the flow rate of the molten metal moving and supplied to the sleeve (S) increases.

[0058] A first heater (700) is installed on the outside of the melting furnace (100) to heat the melting furnace (100) so as to melt the ingot introduced into the melting furnace (100).

[0059] In order to melt the ingot, the temperature of the melting furnace (100) must be raised to 700°C or higher, so the first heater (700) is suitable as a high-frequency heater that rapidly heats to about 900°C to 1000°C.

[0060] In this case, it is preferable that the first heater (700) be formed in the shape of a coil that wraps spirally along the outer surface of the melting furnace (100) to maximize heating efficiency.

[0061] Meanwhile, a second heater (310) may be further provided to insulate the molten metal transfer pipe (300) so that the molten metal is not cooled down and maintains a constant temperature while moving along the molten metal transfer pipe (300).

[0062] In this case, the second heater (310) may be a heating coil wound around the molten metal transfer pipe (300).

[0063] The second heater (310) above must generate heat at 700°C or higher to stably maintain the molten state of the ingot, and there is no need to specifically limit the heating method.

[0064] In addition, an insulating pipe (320) that wraps the molten metal transfer pipe (300) on the outside of the second heater (310) may be further provided to further improve the heat retention effect and protect the second heater (310) exposed to the outside.

[0065] The above insulation tube (320) may be formed by molding an insulation material into a tubular shape, or it may be constructed by filling an insulation member (330), such as a ceramic fiber blanket, inside the tube.

[0066] FIGS. 4 to 7 are cross-sectional views showing the usage state of a die-casting device according to the present invention in sequence, and as shown, the die-casting device according to the present invention configured as above operates as follows.

[0067] First, with the first valve (200) open, the ingot is supplied to the open upper part (110) of the melting furnace (100) through the hopper (T).

[0068] Ingots introduced into the melting furnace (100) move sequentially along the tapered melting furnace (100) toward the molten metal discharge port (120). At this time, the molten metal discharge port (120) of the melting furnace (100) is blocked and closed by the introduced ingots.

[0069] When a certain amount of ingot is supplied to the melting furnace (100), the first valve (200) closes the open upper portion (110) and the stopper pin (500) advances to prevent further ingot input.

[0070] Accordingly, the melting furnace (100) becomes sealed as both the open top (110) and the molten metal discharge port (120) are blocked.

[0071] When the melting furnace (100) is sealed, the first heater (700) operates to heat the melting furnace (100), and the ingot introduced into the melting furnace (100) begins to melt. In addition, the second heater (310) operates to heat the molten metal transfer pipe (300).

[0072] Meanwhile, when the ingot is melted to the extent that its diameter reaches 50%, the ingot that was blocking the molten metal discharge port (120) passes through the molten metal discharge port (120) together with the molten metal and moves to the molten metal transfer pipe (300), and the remaining melting of the ingot takes place inside the molten metal transfer pipe (300).

[0073] When the melting of the ingot is sufficiently completed, inert gas is injected into the interior of the melting furnace (100) and the molten metal transfer pipe (300) through the first gas supply pipe (400).

[0074] In this way, the internal pressure at one end of the molten metal transfer pipe (300) increases due to the injected inert gas, and the molten metal contained in the molten metal transfer pipe (300) is pushed toward the sleeve (S) due to the increased pressure.

[0075] When the target amount of molten metal is supplied to the sleeve (S), the second valve (600) closes the other end of the first gas supply pipe (400) to prevent further supply of molten metal, and the molten metal supplied to the sleeve (S) is injected into the forming space of the mold through the plunger (P) installed in the sleeve (S) and formed into a casting of the desired shape.

[0076] In this way, the die casting device of the present invention uses a spherical ingot, so the ingot is easily transported, and the ingot is supplied to the melting furnace (100) by dropping the ingot through the hopper (T), so the ingot supply structure becomes very simple and compact.

[0077] In addition, since the molten metal produced in the melting furnace (100) is directly transferred to the sleeve (S) through the molten metal transfer pipe (300), the use of equipment such as a ladle is unnecessary, and only the amount of molten metal required for casting can be produced.

[0078] Therefore, the molten metal supply structure can be simplified and configured compactly, and excessive use of ingots and excessive use of energy for heating the melting furnace (100) can be prevented.

[0079] In addition, the molten metal is supplied to the sleeve (S) using the pressure of the inert gas injected into the molten metal transfer pipe (300) through the first gas supply pipe (400), so the amount of molten metal supplied can be easily and precisely controlled.

[0080] FIG. 8 is a cross-sectional view showing the usage state of a die-casting device according to another embodiment of the present invention. As shown, the die-casting device according to this embodiment may further be provided with a vacuum suction pipe (800) that creates a vacuum inside a melting furnace (100) into which an ingot is introduced.

[0081] The above vacuum suction pipe (800) may be directly connected to the melting furnace (100), but considering that the melting furnace (100) rises to a high temperature, it is preferable to install it through the first valve (200).

[0082] The above vacuum suction pipe (800) removes impurities inside the melting furnace (100) by discharging the air inside the melting furnace (100) to the outside and creating a vacuum when the melting furnace (100) is switched to a sealed state.

[0083] In this way, since the melting of the ingot is performed after the inside of the melting furnace (100) is made into a vacuum state through the vacuum suction pipe (800), external impurities are not introduced into the molten metal, and the quality of the molten metal is greatly improved.

[0084] Meanwhile, the die-casting device according to the present embodiment may further be provided with a second gas supply pipe (900) for injecting an inert gas, such as nitrogen, into the vacuum melting furnace (100). It is preferable that the second gas supply pipe (900) also be installed through the first valve (200), just like the vacuum suction pipe (800).

[0085] As shown in FIG. 9, the second gas supply pipe (900) injects inert gas into the melting furnace (100) that has been vacuumed through the vacuum suction pipe (800) to normalize the lowered pressure inside the melting furnace (100).

[0086] As shown in FIGS. 10 and 11, it is preferable that the second gas supply pipe (900) be configured to inject inert gas at the same pressure as the inert gas injection pressure acting on the first gas supply pipe (400) when moving molten metal to the sleeve (S).

[0087] In this case, since the same internal pressure as that of the molten metal transfer pipe (300) also acts on the melting furnace (100), the inert gas injected through the second gas supply pipe (900) is used solely to increase the internal pressure of the molten metal transfer pipe (300), thereby making the transfer of molten metal to the sleeve (S) more efficient.

[0088] Although preferred embodiments of the present invention have been illustrated and described above with reference to the drawings, various modifications and changes may be made without departing from the spirit or scope of the invention as defined by the following claims, and such changes should also be included within the scope of the present invention.
