Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a dishwasher, and more specifically, to a dishwasher that has improved drying performance at low cost with a simple configuration, prevents water backflow, has a small size and compact structure, and has improved durability and stability. Background Technology

[0002] A dishwasher is a home appliance that removes foreign substances remaining on objects to be cleaned, such as dishes or cooking utensils, by spraying a cleaning solution onto them.

[0003] Such dishwashers generally include a tub that provides a washing space, a rack provided within the tub for accommodating dishes, a spray arm that sprays washing liquid onto the rack, a sump that stores washing liquid, and a washing pump that supplies washing liquid stored in the sump to the spray arm.

[0004] In addition, the dishwasher may be equipped with a drying module. The drying module can remove moisture remaining on dishes (items to be washed, items to be dried) by supplying heated air into the tub (washing chamber).

[0005] Drying modules can be classified into open circulation type and closed circulation type. An open circulation type drying module can discharge humid air from inside the tub to the outside and heat outside air to supply it into the tub. On the other hand, a closed circulation type drying module can discharge humid air from inside the tub, remove moisture from the discharged air, and then supply the moisture-removed air back into the tub.

[0006] While closed-circulation drying modules may offer better drying performance than open-circulation modules, they can increase manufacturing costs and require more installation space, which can hinder the miniaturization of dishwashers. Therefore, there is a need for a closed-circulation drying module that can be manufactured simply and at low cost, features a small and compact structure, and offers improved drying performance.

[0007] In addition, drying modules are generally equipped with a fan to circulate air; however, if water enters the motor of the fan, the fan malfunctions, making air drying impossible. Therefore, a structure is required to prevent the fan from coming into contact with water.

[0008] In addition, drying modules are generally equipped with a heater to heat the air; however, if water is present around the heater, it evaporates into steam and flows into the tub, which can degrade drying performance. Therefore, a structure is required to prevent water from being present around the heater.

[0009] In addition, the size of the fan or heater must be large to allow air to flow or be heated effectively, thereby improving drying performance. Accordingly, a drying module is required that is equipped with a large fan or heater while having a small and compact structure.

[0010] The prior art related to this is as follows.

[0011] European Patent No. 2757930 relates to a dishwasher having a drying system, which discharges air inside the tub to the outside through a condensation assembly and supplies outside air into the tub through an assembly for blowing and heating drying air.

[0012] However, since the above prior art corresponds to an open-circulation type drying module, a closed-circulation type drying module is not disclosed.

[0013] In addition, the above-mentioned prior art discloses a 'V'-shaped flow channel to prevent water from coming into contact with the motor of the drying air flow and heating assembly; however, since the 'V'-shaped flow channel is long, it requires a large installation space, which may prevent the drying module from being miniaturized.

[0014] In addition, if the length of the 'V'-shaped flow channel is shortened to miniaturize the washing machine, the size of the heater placed in the 'V'-shaped flow channel becomes smaller, so the air heating area becomes smaller and drying performance may be reduced.

[0015] In addition, water accumulates in the elbow portion of the V-shaped air pipe, and since a heating means is placed around the elbow portion, the water can be vaporized into steam by the heater and flow into the tub. Consequently, drying performance may be reduced.

[0016] Meanwhile, according to the above-mentioned prior art, a drain opening is provided in the folded portion to discharge water accumulated in the folded portion; however, if the drain opening is kept open at all times, air escapes to the outside, thereby reducing energy efficiency or drying efficiency. Therefore, since it is desirable to temporarily open the drain opening depending on the situation, even if a drain opening is provided in the folded portion, water accumulates in the folded portion while the drain opening is closed. Accordingly, as described above, the water accumulated in the folded portion may be vaporized into steam by a heater placed nearby, which may reduce drying performance. Prior art literature

[0049] Air is discharged to the outside through the downstream end of the heat exchange channel (126). Effects of the invention

[0050] According to embodiments of the present invention, a drying device (100) is configured to include a drying duct (110), a fan (130), and a heater (140). The drying duct (110) is positioned on the outside of a tub (12) and includes a condensation duct (112) and a return duct (114). Accordingly, since the condensation duct (112) comes into contact with low-temperature outside air outside the tub (12), water vapor contained in the air flowing along the condensation duct (112) condenses into water and is removed. Thus, drying performance can be improved at low cost with a simple configuration.

[0051] According to embodiments of the present invention, the condensation duct (112) is configured to include: a first condensation duct (1122) facing the outer surface of one side wall (12R) and having an upstream end communicating with an inlet (H1); and a second condensation duct (1124) disposed at the bottom (12B) and having an upstream end communicating with a downstream end of the first condensation duct (1122). Accordingly, since the condensation duct (112) comes into contact with low-temperature air on the outer side of one side wall (12R) and the bottom of the bottom (12B) of the tub (12), water vapor contained in the air flowing along the condensation duct (112) is condensed into water and removed. Thus, drying performance can be improved at low cost with a simple configuration.

[0052] According to embodiments of the present invention, an inlet (H1) may be formed at the rear upper portion (R11) of one side wall (12R) of the tub (12) through which air from the washing space (12S) flows into the interior of the drying duct (110). Additionally, an outlet (H2) may be formed at the rear side portion (B11) of the bottom (12B) of the tub (12) through which air from the interior of the drying duct (110) flows out into the washing space (12S).

[0053] Accordingly, since both the outlet (H2) and the inlet (H1) are formed on one side of the rear of the tub (12), the horizontal distance between the outlet (H2) and the inlet (H1) can be reduced. Additionally, since the outlet (H2) is formed on the bottom (12B) and the inlet (H1) is formed on the upper part of the side wall (12R), the vertical distance between the outlet (H2) and the inlet (H1) can be increased. Therefore, dry air discharged into the washing space (12S) through the outlet (H2) can effectively circulate throughout the washing space (12S) until it enters the drying device (100) through the inlet (H1), thereby improving drying efficiency.

[0054] Additionally, since both the outlet (H2) and the inlet (H1) are formed at the rear of the tub (12), a drying duct (110) may be placed around the rear of the tub (12), and a cold air supply module (120) may be placed around the front of the tub (12). Since the rear of the tub (12) is generally blocked by a wall and the front of the tub (12) (especially the front lower part of the tub) is open to the front, the temperature of the air around the front of the tub (12) may be lower. Accordingly, the cold air supply module (120) can effectively lower the humidity of the air inside the drying duct (110) with cold air around the front of the tub (12), thereby improving drying performance.

[0055] Additionally, since the outlet (H2) is formed at the rear of the tub (12), the distributor (150) of the drying device (100) can be positioned at the rear of the tub (12). Therefore, when the door (14) at the front of the tub (12) is opened, the distributor (150) of the drying device (100) does not obstruct the view, thus improving aesthetics, and various devices inside the tub (12) can be easily managed without being obstructed by the distributor (150) of the drying device (100).

[0056] According to embodiments of the present invention, the outlet (H2) may pass through the inlet (H1) and meet a virtual vertical plane (S) that extends in a second direction and in an up-and-down direction. Accordingly, the horizontal distance between the outlet (H2) formed on the bottom (12B) of the tub (12) and the inlet (H1) formed on one side wall (12R) of the tub (12) is minimized, so that dry air discharged into the washing space (12S) through the outlet (H2) can effectively circulate throughout the washing space (12S) until it enters the drying device (100) through the inlet (H1). Thus, drying efficiency can be further improved.

[0057] According to embodiments of the present invention, the second condensation duct (1124) may be bent near the downstream end (1124D) and extended approximately vertically (e.g., upward). Accordingly, water that flows into the interior of the second condensation duct (1124) or is generated in the second condensation duct (1124) may be prevented from flowing into the interior of the return duct (114).

[0058] According to embodiments of the present invention, the horizontal straight distance (D1) between the upstream end (1124U) and the downstream end (1124D) of the second condensation duct (1124) may be greater than the horizontal straight distance (D2) between the upstream end (1124U) of the second condensation duct (1124) and the outlet (H2). Accordingly, even when the outlet (H2) is formed near the inlet (H1) in the horizontal direction to improve drying performance, the horizontal length of the return duct (114) communicating with the downstream end (1124D) and the outlet (H2) of the second condensation duct (1124) may be increased, and the distance between the downstream end (1124D) of the second condensation duct (1124) and the upstream end (114U) of the return duct (114) may be increased. Accordingly, a heater (350) having a sufficiently large size can be placed inside or outside the return duct (114), and a fan (130) can be provided between the downstream end (1124D) of the second condensation duct (1124) and the upstream end (114U) of the return duct (114). Accordingly, the drying performance of the dishwasher (1) can be improved with a simple configuration, and the dishwasher (1) can have a small size and a compact structure.

[0059] According to embodiments of the present invention, the second condensation duct (1124) and the return duct (114) may be located only at the lower part (B11, B12, B13) of the bottom (12B) of the tub (12). Accordingly, since the second condensation duct (1124) and the return duct (114) are located at the rear part of the tub (12) along with the outlet (H2) and the inlet (H1), the second condensation duct (1124) and the return duct (114) may be formed in a shape that is approximately close to a straight line, and the length of the duct (1124, 114) may be reduced. Accordingly, the flow resistance may be reduced, and drying performance may be improved. In addition, the dishwasher (1) may have a small size and a compact structure.

[0060] According to embodiments of the present invention, the return duct (114) may be located between the bottom (12B) of the tub (12) and the second condensation duct (1124). Accordingly, it is possible to prevent water from flowing into the second condensation duct (1124) through the inlet (H1) or water condensed in the condensation duct (112) from flowing into the return duct (114). Therefore, since it is possible to prevent water from the condensation duct (112) from flowing into the washing space (12S) through the outlet (H2) communicating with the return duct (114), drying performance can be improved.

[0061] According to embodiments of the present invention, the return duct (114) and the second condensation duct (1124) may be in contact with each other along the longitudinal direction of the return duct (114) and the second condensation duct (1124) at least in a portion thereof. At the portion where the return duct (114) and the second condensation duct (1124) are in contact with each other, the return duct (114) and the second condensation duct (1124) may be separated by a dividing wall (W) arranged along the longitudinal direction of the return duct (114) and the second condensation duct (1124). Accordingly, the return duct (114) and the second condensation duct (1124) can be easily manufactured at a low cost with a simple configuration. Additionally, since the return duct (114) and the second condensation duct (1124) are partitioned by a single dividing wall (W), some of the heat generated by the heater (140) placed inside the return duct (114) can be easily transferred to the second condensation duct (1124). Accordingly, the small amount of water inside the second condensation duct (1124) vaporizes due to the heat transferred to the second condensation duct (1124), thereby lowering the humidity of the second condensation duct (1124) and preventing the proliferation of bacteria or mold inside the second condensation duct (1124).

[0062] According to embodiments of the present invention, a fan (130) and a heater (140) are provided between the downstream end of the condensation duct (112) and the downstream end of the return duct (114). Accordingly, the fan (130) facilitates air flow in the downstream area of the drying duct (110) where the change in the direction of air flow is large (e.g., between the condensation duct and the return duct), thereby reducing flow resistance, and the heater (140) heats the air in the downstream area of the drying duct (110) near the outlet (H2) (e.g., the return duct) so that high-temperature dry air is discharged into the washing space (12S), thus improving drying performance with a simple configuration and low cost.

[0063] According to embodiments of the present invention, a heater (140) may be placed inside a return duct (114). Accordingly, high-temperature air heated in the return duct (114) near the outlet (H2) is discharged into the washing space (12S), so the discharged air can effectively remove moisture remaining on dishes, etc. inside the washing space (12S). Thus, drying performance can be improved at low cost with a simple configuration. In addition, since the heater (140) does not enter the condensation duct (112) or come into contact with water condensed in the condensation duct (112), the heat generated by the heater (140) can be prevented from vaporizing a large amount of water collected in the condensation duct (112). Therefore, since the air inside the return duct (114) can be discharged into the washing space (12S) in a high-temperature, dry state, drying performance can be improved.

[0064] According to embodiments of the present invention, the fan (130) may be positioned above the downstream end (1124D) of the second condensation duct (1124). Accordingly, the motor (136) of the fan (130) may be prevented from entering the condensation duct (112) or coming into contact with water condensed in the condensation duct (112). Thus, since water entering the motor (136) of the fan (130) can prevent the fan (130) from malfunctioning, the durability and stability of the drying device (100) can be improved.

[0065] According to embodiments of the present invention, the motor (136) is positioned above the fan blade (132), and the fan housing (134) may be configured to include an upper wall (134T) positioned between the fan blade (132) and the motor (136). Accordingly, even if the fan blade (132) comes into contact with water that has flowed into the return duct (114) through the outlet (H2), the water in contact with the fan blade (132) may be blocked by the upper wall (134T) and may not come into contact with the motor (136). Therefore, since it is possible to prevent water from flowing into the motor (136) and causing the fan (130) to malfunction, the durability and stability of the drying device (100) can be improved.

[0066] According to embodiments of the present invention, the rotation axis (138) of the fan (130) can be extended in an approximately vertical direction. Accordingly, the fan (130) can be installed horizontally between the second condensation duct (1124) and the return duct (114), so that a fan (130) having a sufficiently large size can be installed even if the installation space or installation location is limited. Accordingly, the drying performance of the dishwasher (1) can be improved at a low cost with a simple configuration, and the dishwasher (1) can have a small size and a compact structure. In addition, since the motor (136) can be placed on the upper part of the fan blade (132), water can be prevented from entering the motor (136).

[0067] According to embodiments of the present invention, the downstream end (1122D) of the first condensation duct (1122) may be located near the bottom of the rear portion of one side wall (12R), and the upstream end (1124U) of the second condensation duct (1124) may be located near one side end of the rear portion of the bottom (12B). Accordingly, since both the downstream end (1122D) of the first condensation duct (1122) and the upstream end (1124U) of the second condensation duct (1124) are located in the rear portion of the tub (12), such as the inlet (H1) and outlet (H2), the condensation duct (112) may be formed in a shape that is approximately close to a straight line and may be shortened in length. Accordingly, flow resistance is reduced, and drying performance may be improved.

[0068] According to embodiments of the present invention, the dishwasher may further include a cold air supply module (120) disposed on the outside of the tub (12) and at least a portion thereof in contact with the first condensation duct (1122). Accordingly, the cold air supply module (120) can effectively remove water vapor contained in the air flowing along the first condensation duct (1122) by condensing it into water. Thus, drying performance can be improved at low cost with a simple configuration.

[0069] According to embodiments of the present invention, a cold air supply module (120) may be configured to include a first outside air inlet duct (122) disposed at the bottom of the floor (12B) and into which outside air is introduced, a second outside air inlet duct (124) facing or in contact with the outer surface of one side wall (12R), and a heat exchange passage section (126) in contact with the first condensation duct (1122) and communicating with the second outside air inlet duct (124). Accordingly, water vapor contained in the air flowing along the first condensation duct (1122) can be effectively removed by condensing it into water using cold air from the bottom of the tub (12). Thus, drying performance can be improved at a low cost with a simple configuration.

[0070] According to embodiments of the present invention, a cooling fan (128) may be provided around the upstream end (122U) of the first outside air inlet duct (122) or inside the first outside air inlet duct (122). Accordingly, since the cooling fan (128) may be positioned at the bottom of the tub (12), the cooling fan (128) can draw in cold air from the bottom of the tub (12) and supply it to the heat exchange passage (126), thereby improving cooling efficiency. Additionally, since the space at the bottom of the tub (12) is relatively wide, the size of the cooling fan (128) can be increased to improve cooling efficiency.

[0071] According to embodiments of the present invention, the heat exchange channel (126) may extend along the outer surface of the first condensation duct (1122), and the downstream end (126D) of the heat exchange channel (126) may be positioned approximately parallel to the widthwise end (1122E) of the first condensation duct (1122) in the second direction. Air may be discharged to the outside through the downstream end (126D) of the heat exchange channel (126). Accordingly, the heat exchange channel (126) can be constructed at low cost with a simple configuration, and the installation space of the heat exchange channel (126) can be minimized. In addition, since the length of the heat exchange channel (126) is shortened, the flow resistance is reduced, and cooling performance can be improved.

[0082] For the sake of convenience of explanation, the direction facing the front or rear of the door when the dishwasher door is closed is referred to as the first direction or the front-back direction.

[0083] The second direction or left and right direction refers to the direction facing the left and right sides of the drawing on a drawing facing the front of a closed door.

[0084] Hereinafter, a dishwasher according to some embodiments of the present invention will be described.

[0085] FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of a dishwasher according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0086] Referring to FIG. 1, a dishwasher (1) according to one embodiment may include a cabinet (11), a tub (12), a plurality of spray arms (23, 24, 25), a sump (50), a filter (70), a wash pump (80), a switching valve (85), a water supply valve (32), a drain pump (35), and a drying device (100). Each component is examined.

[0087] The cabinet (11) can form the exterior of the dishwasher (1).

[0088] The tub (12) may be provided inside the cabinet (11). The tub (12) may be formed in the shape of a cuboid with an open front. However, the shape of the tub (12) is not limited to this and may have various shapes.

[0089] A cleaning space (12S) for accommodating a cleaning object may be formed inside the tub (12). A door (14, FIG. 2) for opening and closing the cleaning space (12S) may be provided at the front of the tub (12).

[0090] An inlet (H1) and an outlet (H2) communicating with a drying device (100) may be formed in the side wall (12R) and bottom (12B) of the tub (12). This will be described later. Additionally, a communication hole (H3) through which a cleaning liquid flows into the sump (50) may be formed in the bottom (12B) of the tub (12).

[0091] A door (14, FIG. 2) is provided on the front of the tub (12) to open and close the washing space (12S).

[0092] A plurality of racks (26, 27) for storing items to be washed, such as dishes, may be arranged in the washing space (12S). The plurality of racks (26, 27) may include a lower rack (26) placed at the bottom of the washing space (12S) and an upper rack (27) placed at the top of the washing space (12S). The lower rack (26) and the upper rack (27) may be spaced apart vertically and may be slid out toward the front of the tub (12).

[0093] A plurality of spray arms (23, 24, 25) may be spaced apart vertically. The plurality of spray arms (23, 24, 25) may include a low spray arm (23), an upper spray arm (24), and a top spray arm (25). The low spray arm (23) may spray cleaning liquid upward toward the lower rack (26). The upper spray arm (24) may be positioned above the low spray arm (23) and may spray cleaning liquid upward toward the upper rack (27). The top spray arm (25) may be positioned at the top of the cleaning space (12S) and may spray cleaning liquid downward.

[0094] Multiple spray arms (23, 24, 25) can receive cleaning fluid from a cleaning pump (80) through multiple spray arm connecting channels (28, 29, 31).

[0095] A sump (50) can be formed at the bottom (12B) of a tub (12) and can collect and store cleaning fluid. Specifically, the sump (50) can be connected to a water supply channel (33) and can receive and store clean cleaning fluid free of foreign matter through the water supply channel (33). Additionally, the sump (50) can receive and store cleaning fluid from which foreign matter has been filtered through a filter (70).

[0096] The filter (70) can be provided in the sump (50) and installed in the connecting hole (H3). The filter (70) can filter foreign matter from the cleaning solution containing foreign matter that moves from the tub (12) to the sump (50).

[0097] The water supply valve (32) can control the cleaning solution supplied from an external water source through the water supply path (33). When the water supply valve (32) is opened, the cleaning solution supplied from the external water source can flow into the sump (50) through the water supply path (33).

[0098] The drainage channel (34) can be connected to a drainage pump (35) and a sump (50).

[0099] The drainage pump (35) can be connected to the drainage path (34) and may be configured to include a drainage motor (not shown).

[0100] When the drainage pump (35) is operated, foreign matter or cleaning liquid filtered through the filter (50) can be discharged to the outside through the drainage path (34).

[0101] The cleaning pump (80) can be positioned at the bottom (12B) of the tub (12) and can supply cleaning fluid stored in the sump (50) to a plurality of spray arms (23, 24, 25).

[0102] The switching valve (85) can optionally connect at least one of the plurality of injection arms (23, 24, 25) to the washing pump (80).

[0103] The drying device (100) may be positioned at the bottom of one side wall (12R) and the bottom (12B) of the tub (12). The drying device (100) may be connected to the inside of the washing space (12S) through an inlet (H1) and an outlet (H2). The drying device (100) may dry the washing space (12S) inside the tub (12).

[0104] In the drying stage of the dishwasher (1), humid air inside the washing space (12S) can be introduced into the drying device (100) through the inlet (H1), and air dried in the drying device (100) can be discharged into the washing space (12S) through the outlet (H2). This circulation of air can be performed repeatedly. In this way, the drying device (100) can improve drying performance through closed circulation of air.

[0105] Meanwhile, various components constituting the dishwasher (1), such as a washing pump (80), are installed at the bottom (12B) of the tub (12), and a sump (50) is formed, so the space for installing the drying device (100) may be narrow. Therefore, the drying device (100) must have a small size and a compact structure so that it can be installed in the dishwasher (1).

[0106] The distributor (150) of the drying device (100) can be inserted into the interior of the washing space (12S) through the outlet (H2). The distributor (150) can be placed at the edge corner of the tub (12) so as not to collide with the rotating spray arm (23).

[0107] FIG. 2 is a perspective view of a tub according to one embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 3 to 6 are a perspective view, front view, side view, and top view of a drying device and a tub according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 7 is a perspective view of a drying device according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0108] Referring to FIG. 2, a tub (12) according to one embodiment may be configured to include a bottom (12B), an upper wall (12T), a side wall (12R), a side wall (12L), and a rear wall (12RR). A cleaning space (12S) may be formed inside the tub (12) by the bottom (12B), the upper wall (12T), the side wall (12R), the side wall (12L), and the rear wall (12RR). For example, the side wall (12R) may be the right wall of the tub (12), and the side wall (12L) may be the left wall of the tub (12).

[0109] A door (14) for opening and closing a washing space (12S) may be provided at the front of the tub (12).

[0110] The floor (12B) and the upper wall (12T) may face each other in the vertical direction, the rear wall (12RR) and the door (14) may face each other in the first direction, and the side wall (12R) and the other side wall (12L) may face each other in the second direction.

[0111] One side wall (12R) of the tub (12) may be divided into a rear section (R11, R12, R13), a central section (R21, R22, R23), and a front section (R31, R32, R33) with respect to the first direction or the front-rear direction. The point dividing the rear section and the central section of the one side wall (12R) may be a point approximately 1 / 4 to 1 / 3 of the width of the one side wall (12R) from the rear end of the one side wall (12R) toward the front. The point dividing the front section and the central section of the one side wall (12R) may be a point approximately 1 / 4 to 1 / 3 of the width of the one side wall (12R) from the front end of the one side wall (12R) toward the rear.

[0112] Additionally, the side wall (12R) of the tub (12) may be divided into an upper section (R11, R21, R31), a central section (R12, R22, R32), and a lower section (R13, R23, R33) with respect to the vertical or vertical direction. The point dividing the upper and central sections of the side wall (12R) may be a point approximately 1 / 4 to 1 / 3 of the height of the side wall (12R) downward from the top of the side wall (12R). The point dividing the lower and central sections of the side wall (12R) may be a point approximately 1 / 4 to 1 / 3 of the height of the side wall (12R) upward from the bottom of the side wall (12R).

[0113] Accordingly, one side wall (12R) of the tub (12) can be divided into nine areas with respect to the first direction and the up-and-down direction: rear upper (R11), rear central part (R12), rear lower part (R13), central upper part (R21), central part (R22), central lower part (R23), front upper part (R31), front central part (R32), and front lower part (R33).

[0114] The bottom (12B) of the tub (12) can also be divided into nine areas in the first and second directions, in a manner similar to the side wall (12R), such as the rear side (B11), rear central part (B12), rear other side (B13), central side (B21), central part (B22), central other side (B23), front side (B31), front central part (B32), and front other side (B33).

[0115] An inlet (H1) may be formed at the rear upper portion (R11) of one side wall (12R) of the tub (12) through which air from the washing space (12S) flows into the interior of the drying duct (110). Additionally, an outlet (H2) may be formed at the rear side portion (B11) of the bottom (12B) of the tub (12) through which air from the interior of the drying duct (110) flows out into the washing space (12S).

[0116] Accordingly, since both the outlet (H2) and the inlet (H1) are formed on one side of the rear of the tub (12), the horizontal distance between the outlet (H2) and the inlet (H1) can be reduced. Additionally, since the outlet (H2) is formed on the bottom (12B) and the inlet (H1) is formed on the upper part of the side wall (12R), the vertical distance between the outlet (H2) and the inlet (H1) can be increased.

[0117] Generally, to introduce air into a specific space and to allow the introduced air to circulate effectively within the space, i) the air introduced from the inlet must not flow directly toward the outlet, and ii) the horizontal distance between the air inlet and outlet must be reduced and the vertical distance increased.

[0118] Therefore, since the above ii) is satisfied, the drying efficiency can be improved because the dry air discharged into the washing space (12S) through the outlet (H2) can be effectively circulated to every corner of the washing space (12S) until it enters the drying device (100) through the inlet (H1). Meanwhile, the above i) can be satisfied through the distributor (150).

[0119] Additionally, since both the outlet (H2) and the inlet (H1) are formed at the rear of the tub (12), a drying duct (110) may be placed around the rear of the tub (12), and a cold air supply module (120) may be placed around the front of the tub (12).

[0120] Additionally, since the outlet (H2) is formed at the rear of the tub (12), the distributor (150) of the drying device (100) can be positioned at the rear of the tub (12). Therefore, when the door (14) at the front of the tub (12) is opened, the distributor (150) of the drying device (100) does not obstruct the view, thus improving aesthetics, and various devices inside the tub (12) can be easily managed without being obstructed by the distributor (150) of the drying device (100).

[0121] The outlet (H2) may meet a virtual vertical plane (S) that passes through the inlet (H1) and extends in the second direction and the up-and-down direction. For example, the center of the outlet (H2) may meet a virtual vertical plane (S) that passes through the center of the inlet (H1) and extends in the second direction. The meaning of the outlet (H2) meeting the vertical plane (S) is as follows.

[0122] Among the various outlets (H2) formed on the bottom (12B) that are spaced apart from one end of the bottom (12B) by a specific distance to the other side (the other side of the second direction), the outlet (H2) that has a minimum horizontal distance from the inlet (H1) is the outlet (H2) that meets the virtual vertical plane (S).

[0123] When the outlet (H2) meets the vertical surface (S), the horizontal distance between the outlet (H2) formed on the bottom (12B) of the tub (12) and the inlet (H1) formed on one side wall (12R) of the tub (12) is minimized, so that part of the above-mentioned ii) is satisfied, and the dry air discharged into the washing space (12S) through the outlet (H2) can effectively circulate throughout the washing space (12S) until it enters the drying device (100) through the inlet (H1). Therefore, the drying efficiency can be further improved.

[0124] Referring further to FIGS. 3 to 7, a drying device (100) according to one embodiment may be configured to include a drying duct (110), a cold air supply module (120), a fan (130), a heater (140), and a distributor (150). However, the cold air supply module (120) and the distributor (150) may be omitted from the drying device (100). Each component is examined.

[0125] [Drying Duct]

[0126] The drying duct (110) is connected to the inlet (H1) and outlet (H2), is positioned on the outside of the tub (12), and may be configured to include a condensation duct (112) and a return duct (114).

[0127] Accordingly, as the condensation duct (112) comes into contact with the outside air at a low temperature outside the tub (12), the water vapor contained in the air flowing along the condensation duct (112) condenses into water and is removed. Therefore, drying performance can be improved at a low cost with a simple configuration.

[0128] The condensation duct (112) may be configured to include a first condensation duct (1122) and a second condensation duct (1124).

[0129] [First Condensation Duct]

[0130] The first condensation duct (1122) may be placed on one side wall (12R). Specifically, the first condensation duct (1122) may face or be in contact with the outer surface or outer circumference of the one side wall (12R). The upstream end (1122U) of the first condensation duct (1122) may be in communication with the inlet (H1).

[0131] Accordingly, since the condensation duct (112) comes into contact with the low-temperature air on the outside of one side wall (12R) of the tub (12), the water vapor contained in the air flowing along the condensation duct (112) is condensed into water and removed. Therefore, drying performance can be improved at low cost with a simple configuration.

[0132] Specifically, for example, the first condensation duct (1122) may be configured to include a first upstream duct (1122A), a heat exchange duct (1122B), and a first downstream duct (1122C) in order along the direction of air flow (Figs. 5 and 7). The first upstream duct (1122A), the heat exchange duct (1122B), and the first downstream duct (1122C) may be three duct sections of the first condensation duct (1122).

[0133] The first upstream duct (1122A) can be connected to the inlet (H1) and air can be introduced.

[0134] The heat exchange duct (1122B) can be in contact with the cold air supply module (120).

[0135] The first downstream duct (1122C) can be connected to the second condensation duct (1124) and can discharge air into the second condensation duct (1124).

[0136] A first drain (D1) may be formed in the first downstream duct (1122C). Accordingly, water introduced through the inlet (H1) or water condensed in the heat exchange duct (1122B), etc., can be discharged to the outside through the first drain (D1), thereby improving the drying performance of the drying device (100).

[0137] A suction fan (not shown) may be provided at the upstream end (1122U) of the first condensation duct (1122) or around it. The suction fan may be a centrifugal fan. Accordingly, the drying performance can be improved by facilitating air flow, and the dishwasher (1) can be miniaturized by minimizing the length of the first condensation duct (1122) to the side by providing a centrifugal fan.

[0138] The downstream end (1122D) of the first condensation duct (1122) may be located near the bottom of the rear portion of one side wall (12R) of the tub (12). This will be described later.

[0139] After first examining the cold air supply module (120) associated with the first condensation duct (1122), examine the second condensation duct (1124).

[0140] [Cold Supply Module]

[0141] The cold air supply module (120) may be placed on the outside of the tub (12). At least a portion of the cold air supply module (120) may be in contact with the first condensation duct (1122).

[0142] Specifically, for example, the cold air supply module (120) may be configured to include a first outside air inlet duct (122), a second outside air inlet duct (124), and a heat exchange channel section (126) (Figs. 5 and 7).

[0143] The first outside air inlet duct (122) can be placed at the bottom of the floor (12B), and outside air can be introduced through the upstream end (122U).

[0144] The second outside air inlet duct (124) may face or be in contact with the outer surface of one side wall (12R), and the upstream end (124U) may be connected to the downstream end (122D) of the first outside air inlet duct (122).

[0145] The heat exchange channel (126) can be in contact with the first condensation duct (1122), and the upstream end (126U) can be connected to the downstream end (124D) of the second outside air inlet duct (124).

[0146] Specifically, for example, the heat exchange channel (126) may extend along the outer surface of the first condensation duct (1122). The downstream end (126D) of the heat exchange channel (126) may be positioned approximately parallel to the second direction and the end (1122E) in the width direction (first direction in the drawing) of the first condensation duct (1122) (Figs. 7 and 9). Air may be discharged to the outside through the downstream end (126D) of the heat exchange channel (126).

[0147] Accordingly, the heat exchange channel section (126) can be configured at a low cost with a simple configuration, and the installation space of the heat exchange channel section (126) can be minimized. In addition, since the length of the heat exchange channel section (126) is shortened, the flow resistance is reduced, and the cooling performance can be improved.

[0148] A cooling fan (128) may be provided around the upstream end (122U) of the first outside air inlet duct (122) or inside the first outside air inlet duct (122). The cooling fan (128) may draw in outside air and supply it to the heat exchange channel (126).

[0149] Accordingly, since the cooling fan (128) can be positioned at the bottom of the tub (12), the cooling fan (128) can draw in cold air from the bottom of the tub (12) and supply it to the heat exchange channel (126), thereby improving cooling efficiency. Additionally, since the space at the bottom of the tub (12) is relatively wide, the size of the cooling fan (128) can be increased to improve cooling efficiency.

[0150] Meanwhile, a first connecting duct (123) may be arranged between the first outside air inlet duct (122) and the second outside air inlet duct (124). The first connecting duct (123) may be connected to the downstream end (122D) of the first outside air inlet duct (122) and the upstream end (124U) of the second outside air inlet duct (124) (Fig. 7).

[0151] In this way, the dishwasher may further include a cold air supply module (120) positioned on the outside of the tub (12) and having at least a portion in contact with the first condensation duct (1122). Accordingly, the cold air supply module (120) can effectively remove water vapor contained in the air flowing along the first condensation duct (1122) by condensing it into water. Thus, drying performance can be improved at a low cost with a simple configuration.

[0152] Additionally, the cold air supply module (120) is configured to include a first outside air inlet duct (122) positioned at the bottom of the floor (12B) through which outside air is introduced, a second outside air inlet duct (124) facing or in contact with the outer surface or outer circumference of one side wall (12R), and a heat exchange passage section (126) in contact with the first condensation duct (1122) and communicating with the second outside air inlet duct (124), thereby effectively removing water vapor contained within the air flowing along the first outside air inlet duct (122) by condensing it into water using cold air from the bottom of the tub (12). Thus, drying performance can be improved at a low cost with a simple configuration.

[0153] With regard to the heat exchange channel section (126), let us look further at FIGS. 8 and FIGS. 9.

[0154] FIG. 8 is a drawing showing a structure in which some components of the drying device of FIG. 3 to 7 are manufactured as a single unit, and FIG. 9 is a perspective view showing a heat exchange duct and a heat exchange flow path section disposed between the first upstream duct and the first downstream duct in the structure of FIG. 8.

[0155] Referring to FIG. 8, the first upstream duct (1122A), the first downstream duct (1122C), and the second outside air inlet duct (124) can be formed integrally. An empty space may be formed between the first upstream duct (1122A) and the first downstream duct (1122C). In the empty space between the first upstream duct (1122A) and the first downstream duct (1122C), a heat exchange duct (1122B) and a heat exchange passage section (126), which will be examined in FIG. 9, may be installed.

[0156] In this way, the first upstream duct (1122A), the first downstream duct (1122C), and the second outside air inlet duct (124) are formed as a single unit, thereby reducing the manufacturing cost of the drying device (100) and making installation and maintenance easier.

[0157] Referring to FIG. 9, a heat exchange duct (1122B) and a heat exchange passage section (126) may be installed between the first upstream duct (1122A) and the first downstream duct (1122C) in the structure of FIG. 8.

[0158] The heat exchange duct (1122B) may correspond to a flat tubular shape with both ends open and may be connected vertically to the first upstream duct (1122A) and the first downstream duct (1122C) of FIG. 8.

[0159] The heat exchange channel section (126) may be configured to include a plate (1262) and a partition wall (1264).

[0160] The plates (1262A, 1262B) may be positioned facing at least one of the two sides of the second direction of the heat exchange duct (1122B).

[0161] Multiple partition walls (1264A, 1264B) may be provided and may be arranged parallel to each other between one side or the other side of the second direction of the heat exchange duct (1122B) and the plates (1262A, 1262B).

[0162] The plates (1262A, 1262B) and the plurality of partition walls (1264A, 1264B) may extend along the outer surface of the heat exchange duct (1122B) in the width direction of the heat exchange duct (1122B) (the first direction in the drawing) which intersects the direction of air flow inside the heat exchange duct (1122B).

[0163] If the heat exchange duct (1122B) and heat exchange flow path (126) of FIG. 9 are installed in the empty space between the first upstream duct (1122A) and the first downstream duct (1122C) of the structure of FIG. 8, the downstream end (124U) of the second outside air inlet duct (124) can come into contact with the side end of the plate (1262) and the heat exchange duct (1122B) in the first direction. Accordingly, cold air introduced into the second outside air inlet duct (124) can flow into the empty space between the plate (1262) and the heat exchange duct (1122B). At this time, a plurality of flow paths can be formed by a plurality of partition walls (1264) extending in the width direction (the first direction in the drawing) of the heat exchange duct (1122B) between the plate (1262) and the heat exchange duct (1122B).

[0164] That is, cold air introduced into the second outside air inlet duct (124) can flow along a plurality of flow paths formed by the heat exchange duct (1122B), the plate (1262), and a plurality of partition walls (1264). The direction in which the cold air flows along the plurality of flow paths formed by the heat exchange flow path section (126) can intersect with the direction in which the humid air flows along the heat exchange duct (1122B).

[0165] At this time, as described above, the downstream end (126D) of the heat exchange channel section (126) can be positioned approximately parallel to the end (1122E) in the width direction (first direction in the drawing) of the first condensation duct (1122) in the second direction (Fig. 9).

[0166] In this way, the heat exchange channel section (126) is configured to include a plate (1262) positioned facing at least one of the first and second sides of the second direction of the heat exchange duct (1122B), and a plurality of partition walls (1264) positioned parallel to each other between the first or second side of the second direction of the heat exchange duct (1122B) and the plate (1262), thereby allowing the heat exchange channel section (126) to be configured at a low cost with a simple configuration. Additionally, since cold air flows along the outer surface of the heat exchange duct (1122B), the heat exchange efficiency can be improved. Furthermore, since cold air is separated from one another and flows along a plurality of channels, heat exchange is performed evenly over a wide area, thereby improving the heat exchange efficiency.

[0167] Meanwhile, as shown in FIG. 9, the heat exchange duct (1122B) and the heat exchange flow path (126) are manufactured separately and then installed between the first upstream duct (1122A) and the first downstream duct (1122C) of the structure of FIG. 8, thereby allowing the drying device (100) to be easily manufactured, replaced, and repaired. Accordingly, manufacturing costs can be reduced and maintenance can be made easier.

[0168] [2nd Condensation Duct]

[0169] FIG. 10 is a perspective view showing a second connecting duct, a second condensation duct, a return duct, a fan housing, a heater, and a distributor according to an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 11 to 13 are a perspective view, a plan view, and a cross-sectional view showing a second downstream duct, a return duct, a fan housing, and a heater according to an embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 14 is an exploded perspective view showing a second downstream duct, a return duct, a fan housing, a heater, and a distributor according to an embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 15 is a cross-sectional view showing a state in which a fan blade and a motor are installed in the fan housing of FIG. 13.

[0170] Referring further to FIGS. 10 to 15, the second condensation duct (1124) may be positioned at the bottom (12B) of the tub (12). The upstream end (1124U) of the second condensation duct (1124) may be connected to the downstream end (1122D) of the first condensation duct (1122) (Fig. 7).

[0171] Accordingly, since the condensation duct (112) comes into contact with the low-temperature air at the bottom (12B) of the tub (12), the water vapor contained in the air flowing along the condensation duct (112) is condensed into water and removed. Thus, drying performance can be improved at low cost with a simple configuration.

[0172] Specifically, for example, the second condensation duct (1124) may be configured to include a second upstream duct (1124A) and a second downstream duct (1124B) along the direction of air flow (Figs. 7 and 10). The second upstream duct (1124A) and the second downstream duct (1124B) may be two duct sections of the second condensation duct (1124).

[0173] The second upstream duct (1124A) may be connected to the downstream end (1122D) of the first condensation duct (1122). The second upstream duct (1124A) may be formed to be inclined approximately downward along the direction of air flow.

[0174] The second downstream duct (1124B) may be connected to the return duct (114). The second downstream duct (1124B) may be formed to be approximately parallel to the horizontal plane or inclined upward along the direction of air flow.

[0175] However, it is not limited to this configuration. Accordingly, the second condensation duct (1124) may not include a downwardly inclined section like the second upstream duct (1124A), and may be composed only of a section parallel to the horizontal plane or inclined upward like the second downstream duct (1124B). In such a case, the second downstream duct (1124B) may be the second condensation duct (1124).

[0176] The second condensation duct (1124) may be bent near the downstream end (1124D) and extended approximately vertically (e.g., upward). Accordingly, water that flows into the interior of the second condensation duct (1124) or is generated in the second condensation duct (1124) may be prevented from flowing into the interior of the return duct (114).

[0177] The horizontal straight distance (D1) between the upstream end (1124U) and the downstream end (1124D) of the second condensation duct (1124) may be greater than the horizontal straight distance (D2) between the upstream end (1124U) of the second condensation duct (1124) and the outlet (H2) (Fig. 6). For example, the upstream end (1124U) of the second condensation duct (1124) may be located beyond the midpoint of the second direction of the bottom (12B) of the tub (12) (Fig. 6).

[0178] Accordingly, even when the outlet (H2) is formed near the inlet (H1) in the horizontal direction to improve drying performance, the horizontal length of the return duct (114) communicating with the downstream end (1124D) of the second condensation duct (1124) and the outlet (H2) can be increased, and the distance between the downstream end (1124D) of the second condensation duct (1124) and the upstream end (114U) of the return duct (114) can be increased. Therefore, a heater (350) having a sufficiently large size can be placed inside or outside the return duct (114), and a fan (130) can be provided between the downstream end (1124D) of the second condensation duct (1124) and the upstream end (114U) of the return duct (114). Accordingly, the drying performance of the dishwasher (1) can be improved with a simple configuration, and the dishwasher (1) can have a small size and a compact structure.

[0179] As described above, the downstream end (1122D) of the first condensation duct (1122) is located near the bottom of the rear portion of the side wall (12R), and the upstream end (1124U) of the second condensation duct (1124) can be located near the side end of the rear portion of the bottom (12B) (Figs. 3, 5 and 7). Accordingly, since both the downstream end (1122D) of the first condensation duct (1122) and the upstream end (1124U) of the second condensation duct (1124) are located in the rear portion of the tub (12), such as the inlet (H1) and outlet (H2), the condensation duct (112) can be formed in a shape that is approximately close to a straight line and can be shortened in length. Accordingly, flow resistance is reduced, and drying performance can be improved.

[0180] A second drain (D2, FIG. 13) may be formed in the second condensation duct (1124). Accordingly, water introduced through the inlet (H1) or outlet (H2), or water condensed in the condensation duct (112), can be discharged to the outside through the second drain (D2), thereby improving the drying performance of the drying device (100).

[0181] Meanwhile, a second connecting duct (1123) may be arranged between the first condensation duct (1122) and the second condensation duct (1124). The second connecting duct (1123) may be connected to the downstream end (1122D) of the first condensation duct (1122) and the upstream end (1124U) of the second condensation duct (1124) (Fig. 7).

[0182] In this way, the condensation duct (112) is configured to include a first condensation duct (1122) facing the outer surface of one side wall (12R) and having its upstream end connected to an inlet (H1); and a second condensation duct (1124) disposed at the bottom (12B) and having its upstream end connected to the downstream end of the first condensation duct (1122). As a result, the condensation duct (112) comes into contact with the low-temperature air on the outer side of one side wall (12R) and the bottom of the bottom (12B) of the tub (12), so that water vapor contained in the air flowing along the condensation duct (112) condenses into water and is removed. Therefore, drying performance can be improved at a low cost with a simple configuration.

[0183] [Return Duct]

[0184] The return duct (114) can have its upstream end (114U) connected to the downstream end (1124D) of the second condensation duct (1124), and its downstream end (114D) connected to the outlet (H2).

[0185] For example, the downstream end (114D) of the return duct (114) can be connected to a distributor (150) that is inserted into the interior of the washing space (12S) through the outlet (H2) and discharges air into the washing space (12S).

[0186] The second condensation duct (1124) and the return duct (114) may be located only at the lower part (B11, B12, B13) of the bottom (12B) of the tub (12). Accordingly, since the second condensation duct (1124) and the return duct (114) are located at the rear part of the tub (12) along with the outlet (H2) and the inlet (H1), the second condensation duct (1124) and the return duct (114) can be formed in a shape that is approximately close to a straight line, and the length of the duct (1124, 114) can be reduced. Accordingly, the flow resistance is reduced, and drying performance can be improved. In addition, the dishwasher (1) can have a small size and a compact structure.

[0187] The return duct (114) may be located between the bottom (12B) of the tub (12) and the second condensation duct (1124). For example, at least a portion of the return duct (114) may be located above and below the second condensation duct (1124) below the bottom (12B) of the tub (12).

[0188] That is, at least a portion of the return duct (114) can be placed above the second condensation duct (1124).

[0189] Accordingly, it is possible to prevent water from flowing into the second condensation duct (1124) through the inlet (H1) or water condensed in the condensation duct (112) from flowing into the return duct (114). Therefore, since it is possible to prevent water from the condensation duct (112) from flowing into the washing space (12S) through the outlet (H2) communicating with the return duct (114), drying performance can be improved. In other words, drying performance can be improved by preventing water from flowing back.

[0190] At least a portion of the return duct (114) and the second condensation duct (1124) may come into contact with each other along the longitudinal direction of the return duct (114) and the second condensation duct (1124). At the portion where the return duct (114) and the second condensation duct (1124) come into contact with each other, the return duct (114) and the second condensation duct (1124) may be separated by a dividing wall (W) arranged along the longitudinal direction of the return duct (114) and the second condensation duct (1124) (Figs. 12 to 15).

[0191] Accordingly, the return duct (114) and the second condensation duct (1124) can be easily manufactured at low cost with a simple configuration. Additionally, since the return duct (114) and the second condensation duct (1124) are partitioned by a single dividing wall (W), a portion of the heat generated by the heater (140) placed inside the return duct (114) can be easily transferred to the second condensation duct (1124). Therefore, the small amount of water inside the second condensation duct (1124) vaporizes due to the heat transferred to the second condensation duct (1124), thereby lowering the humidity of the second condensation duct (1124) and preventing the proliferation of bacteria or mold inside the second condensation duct (1124).

[0192] A third drain (D3, FIG. 13) may be formed in the return duct (114). Accordingly, water introduced through the outlet (H2) or water condensed in the return duct (114) can be discharged to the outside of the return duct (114) through the third drain (D3), thereby improving the drying performance of the drying device (100). Here, the outside of the return duct (114) may be the inside of the second condensation duct (1124) (Fig. 13).

[0193] [Pan]

[0194] A fan (130) may be provided between the downstream end (1124D) of the condensation duct (112) and the downstream end (114D) of the return duct (114). For example, the fan (130) may be placed between the second condensation duct (1124) and the return duct (114).

[0195] Accordingly, the fan (130) can prevent the generation of vortices and facilitate the flow of air downstream of the drying duct (110), where the change in the direction of air flow is large (e.g., between the condensation duct and the return duct). Therefore, since the air flow resistance does not increase, the drying performance of the drying device (100) can be improved.

[0196] The fan (130) can be connected to the second condensation duct (1124) (Fig. 15). For example, the fan (130) can be connected downward to the downstream end (1124D) of the second condensation duct (1124).

[0197] Additionally, the fan (130) can be connected to the return duct (114) (Fig. 15). For example, the fan (130) can be connected laterally to the upstream end (114U) of the return duct (114).

[0198] The fan (130) can be placed at the upper end (1124D) of the second condensation duct (1124) (Fig. 15).

[0199] Accordingly, the motor (136) of the fan (130) can be prevented from entering the condensation duct (112) or coming into contact with water condensed in the condensation duct (112). Therefore, since water entering the motor (136) of the fan (130) can prevent the fan (130) from malfunctioning, the durability and stability of the drying device (100) can be improved.

[0200] The fan (130) can circulate air inside the drying duct (110). Specifically, for example, the fan (130) can draw air from the first condensation duct (1122) into the second condensation duct (1124). Additionally, the fan (130) can draw air from the second condensation duct (1124) into the return duct (114). Additionally, the fan (130) can discharge air from the return duct (114) into the washing space (12S) through the outlet (H2) and the distributor (150) to be described later.

[0201] The fan (130) may be configured to include a fan blade (132), a fan housing (134), and a motor (136).

[0202] The fan blade (132) can be fixedly coupled to the rotation axis (138) and rotated by the motor (136). The fan blade (132) can be accommodated in the fan housing (134).

[0203] The fan housing (134) can be connected to the downstream end (1124D) of the second condensation duct (1124) and the upstream end (114U) of the return duct (114).

[0204] For example, the fan housing (134) may have a through hole formed on its lower surface so as to communicate downward with the downstream end (1124D) of the second condensation duct (1124) (Fig. 15). Additionally, the fan housing (134) may have a through hole formed on its side so as to communicate laterally with the upstream end (114U) of the return duct (114) (Fig. 15).

[0205] The fan housing (134) may be configured to include an upper wall (134T). The upper wall (134T) may be positioned between the fan blade (132) and the motor (136) positioned above the fan blade (132).

[0206] Accordingly, even if the fan blade (132) comes into contact with water that has flowed into the return duct (114) through the outlet (H2), the water in contact with the fan blade (132) may be blocked by the upper wall (134T) and may not come into contact with the motor (136). As a result, it is possible to prevent water from flowing into the motor (136) and causing the fan (130) to malfunction, thereby improving the durability and stability of the drying device (100).

[0207] A hole through which a rotation axis (138) passes can be formed in the upper wall (134T).

[0208] The motor (136) can be coupled to the fan blade (132) via a rotating shaft (138). The motor (136) can rotate the fan blade (132).

[0209] The motor (136) can be positioned on the upper part of the fan blade (132). Additionally, the motor (136) can be positioned on the upper wall (134T).

[0210] The rotation axis (138) of the fan (130) can be extended approximately vertically.

[0211] Accordingly, since the fan (130) can be installed horizontally between the second condensation duct (1124) and the return duct (114), a fan (130) having a sufficiently large size can be installed even if the installation space or installation location is limited. Accordingly, the drying performance of the dishwasher (1) can be improved at a low cost with a simple configuration, and the dishwasher (1) can have a small size and a compact structure. At this time, the fan (130) may be a centrifugal fan. In addition, since the motor (136) can be placed on the upper part of the fan blade (132), water can be prevented from entering the motor (136).

[0212] [heater]

[0213] A heater (140) may be provided between the downstream end (1124D) of the condensation duct (112) and the downstream end (114D) of the return duct (114). For example, the heater (140) may be placed in the return duct (114).

[0214] Accordingly, the heater (140) heats the air downstream of the drying duct (110) near the outlet (H2) (e.g., return duct) and discharges the high-temperature, dry air into the washing space (12S), so that drying performance can be improved at a low cost with a simple configuration.

[0215] The heater (140) may be placed inside the return duct (114) (Figs. 10 to 15). However, it is not limited to this configuration. For example, unlike the drawings, the heater (140) may be placed outside the return duct (114) adjacent to the return duct (114).

[0216] In this way, since the heater (140) is positioned inside the return duct (114), the air inside the return duct (114) near the outlet (H2) can be effectively heated, so that the heated air discharged into the washing space (12S) can effectively remove moisture remaining on dishes, etc. inside the washing space (12S). Accordingly, drying performance can be improved at low cost with a simple configuration.

[0217] Additionally, since the heater (140) is positioned inside the return duct (114), the heater (140) is positioned far away from the condensation duct (112) so as not to come into contact with the water condensed in the condensation duct (112), the heat generated by the heater (140) can be prevented from vaporizing the large amount of water collected in the condensation duct (112). Accordingly, the air inside the return duct (114) can be discharged into the washing space (12S) in a high-temperature, dry state, thereby improving drying performance.

[0218] The heater (140) can heat the air inside the drying duct (110).

[0219] In this way, the drying device (100) is configured to include a drying duct (110), a fan (130), and a heater (140), and the drying duct (110) is positioned outside the tub (12) and includes a condensation duct (112) and a return duct (114), thereby allowing the drying performance to be improved at a low cost with a simple configuration.

[0220] [Distributor]

[0221] The distributor (150) may be configured to include an insert (152) and a lid (154) as shown in FIG. 14.

[0222] The lower end of the insert (152) can be connected to the downstream end (114D) of the return duct (114), and the upper end of the insert (152) can be connected to the lid (374). The insert (152) can be installed by passing through the outlet (H2) formed in the bottom (12B) of the tub (12).

[0223] Through the insertion part (152), heated air from the return duct (114) can be introduced into the inside of the cleaning space (12S).

[0224] The lid (154) can be installed on the top of the insertion part (152) and placed inside the cleaning space (12S).

[0225] The lid (154) can prevent water inside the washing space (12S) from flowing into the insertion part (152) and the return duct (114).

[0226] Additionally, the lid (154) can prevent the air exiting the insertion part (152) from facing upward in the vertical direction when it flows into the washing space (12S). Accordingly, since the above-mentioned i) is satisfied, the dry air flowing into the washing space (12S) through the outlet (H2) can effectively circulate throughout the washing space (12S) until it flows into the drying device (100) through the inlet (H1), thereby improving drying efficiency.

[0227] Meanwhile, the second downstream duct (1124B), fan housing (134), and return duct (114) of FIGS. 11 to 13 may be configured to include a first housing (C1), a second housing (C2), a third housing (C3), and a fourth housing (C4), as shown in FIG. 14.

[0228] The first housing (C1) is positioned at the bottom and can be opened upward.

[0229] The second housing (C2) is positioned on top of the first housing (C1) and can be combined with the first housing (C1).

[0230] The third housing (C3) is open downward and positioned on the upper part of the second housing (C2), and can be combined with the second housing (C2).

[0231] The fourth housing (C4) is positioned on the upper part of one end of the second housing (C2) and can be combined with the second housing (C2).

[0232] The second downstream duct (1124B) may be defined by the first housing (C1) and the second housing (C2), and the return duct (114) may be defined by the second housing (C2) and the third housing (C3). The aforementioned partition wall (W) may be the bottom of the second housing (C2).

[0233] The fan housing (134) may be defined by one end of the second housing (C2) and the fourth housing (C4). That is, a part of the fan housing (134) (one end of the second housing) may be formed integrally with a part of the return duct (114) (the remaining part of the second housing). The fourth housing (C4) may be the upper wall (134T) of the aforementioned fan housing (134).

[0234] The aforementioned second drain (D2) may be formed on the bottom of the first housing (C1), and the aforementioned third drain (D3) may be formed on the bottom of the second housing (C2).

[0235] The heater (140) can be placed in the inner space formed by combining the second housing (C2) and the third housing (C3). At this time, a fixing part (142) having high heat resistance and low thermal conductivity can be fixed to the second housing (C2) or the third housing (C3), and the heater (140) can be installed by connecting it to the fixing part (142). Accordingly, the second housing (C2) or the third housing (C3) can be prevented from being damaged by the heater (140).

[0236] In this way, the second downstream duct (1124B), the fan housing (134), and the return duct (114) are combined with the first housing (C1), the second housing (C2), the third housing (C3), and the fourth housing (C4), so that the drying device (100) can be manufactured simply and easily, maintenance can be easy, and the drying device (100) can have a small size and a compact structure.

[0237] Meanwhile, for convenience, the drying duct (110) is described as being composed of a condensation duct (112) and a return duct (114), but the condensation duct (112) and the return duct (114) can be formed as a single unit.

[0238] The first condensation duct (1122) and the second condensation duct (1124) can also be formed as a single unit.

[0239] The above ducts (110, 112, 1122, 1124, 114) may be made of a metal material such as aluminum or stainless steel.

[0240] The above ducts (110, 112, 1122, 1124, 114) can be manufactured by sheet metal forming or injection molding.

[0241] A part of the drying device (100), such as the fan (130), can be formed of plastic.

[0242] Although the present invention has been described above with reference to the illustrated drawings, the present invention is not limited by the embodiments and drawings disclosed in this specification, and it is obvious that various modifications can be made by a person skilled in the art within the scope of the technical concept of the present invention.
