Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to an electronic whiteboard, and more specifically, to a smart electronic whiteboard that operates in a single OS environment. Background Technology

[0002] Conventional electronic whiteboards (or interactive displays) generally operate based on an Android-based operating environment and are often configured to provide features such as running educational applications, simple handwriting functions, and screen sharing.

[0003] However, since compatibility and scalability with widely used Windows-based applications (e.g., document editing, presentations, dedicated business software, etc.) are required in actual classroom or meeting environments, a configuration has traditionally been widely adopted in which an Android operating system is maintained within the electronic whiteboard body while an OPS (Open Pluggable Specification) module with a separate Windows operating system is additionally combined.

[0004] In such a dual operating system-based configuration, the electronic whiteboard selectively switches between an Android operating environment and an OPS-based Windows operating environment, or operates in parallel. During this process, information such as handwriting data, screen captures, and meeting notes generated on the Android side, as well as information such as documents, files, and annotation data generated on the Windows side, may be stored in a distributed manner across different operating system environments.

[0005] In particular, since Android and Windows differ in their file systems, application execution methods, permission management, and data storage structures, conventional configurations make it difficult to directly and seamlessly exchange data between the two operating systems. Consequently, users often have to perform cumbersome procedures, such as using separate storage media or manually copying and transferring files.

[0006] As a result, work time increases during the process of organizing and distributing materials after a class or meeting, and problems such as missing data or version inconsistencies may occur.

[0007] Furthermore, as the Android and Windows operating environments operate independently, there are issues with the operating environment becoming complex from the user's perspective, such as input devices and UIs varying depending on the operating system, dualized application execution methods, and the need to manage system settings and update procedures separately.

[0008] For example, even when performing the same “writing and sharing” task, usability may be degraded because the menu configuration, file save location, and sharing method differ between Android mode and Windows mode.

[0009] Furthermore, the addition of the OPS module increases the number of hardware components, leading to a greater management burden in terms of power, heat, and maintenance. There is also the issue of rising overall system costs due to OS and software licenses, as well as additional hardware expenses.

[0010] Therefore, technical improvements are required for an electronic whiteboard system and its control method to resolve the aforementioned problems associated with the conventional method of combining a Windows OPS with an Android-based electronic whiteboard, namely, the difficulty of data exchange between operating systems, the complexity of use and management due to dual OS operation, and the increase in costs resulting from the addition of the OPS.

Figure 2 is a layout diagram showing the configuration of the electrical unit of the smart electronic whiteboard of Figure 1. FIG. 3 is a layout diagram showing an example of the first input / output section of the electrical section of FIG. 2. FIGS. 4 and FIGS. 5 are perspective views showing examples of the first input / output section and OPS module of the electrical section of FIG. 2. Specific details for implementing the invention

[0024] The smart electronic whiteboard according to the present invention will be described below with reference to the attached drawings.

[0025] As shown in FIGS. 1 to 5, the smart electronic whiteboard according to the present invention comprises a main body (10) having a display unit (40) combined with a touch input unit and a plurality of speakers (31, 32) installed therein; and an electrical unit (20) installed on the back of the main body (10) to perform input / output for the display unit (40) and output for the plurality of speakers (31, 32).

[0026] The above main body (10) is configured to have a display unit (40), a plurality of speakers (31, 32) and an electrical unit (20) installed therein, and may have various structures such as a plate, a frame, etc.

[0027] In particular, the main body (10) may be configured such that a front opening is formed so that the screen of the display unit (40) can be exposed on the front, and on the back, the fixing of the display unit (40), a plurality of speakers (31, 32), and the installation of the electrical unit (20) can be made possible.

[0028] Meanwhile, the main body (10) has a VESA part (11) installed on its back surface that is connected to a stand, a mounting bracket, etc.

[0029] The above display unit (40) is an output device that converts and displays visual information such as text, pictures, and images according to the operation of the computer module (50) described later, and can be configured in various ways depending on the screen display method, such as LCD, QLED, OLED, and MicroLED.

[0030] In particular, the above display unit (40) is configured as a so-called touchscreen by combining a touch input unit (not shown) to implement the function of an electronic whiteboard.

[0031] The above touch input unit is configured to recognize the selection of a specific part of the screen of the display unit (40), handwriting, etc., by the user's hand, smart pen, etc., in correspondence with the screen of the display unit (40), and can be configured in various ways depending on the touch recognition method, etc.

[0032] Meanwhile, the main body (10) may be equipped with a first support plate (21) for installing the second speaker (31), the first power supply unit (120), and the second power supply unit (130) described later, an installation bracket (181) on which the first input / output board and computer module (50) are installed, a second support plate (22) for installing the second input / output unit (140), and a third support plate (23) for installing the touch input control unit (170).

[0033] The above-mentioned electrical unit (20) can be configured in various ways to be installed on the back of the main body (10) to perform input / output to the display unit (40) and output to the plurality of speakers (31, 32).

[0034] For example, as shown in FIG. 2, the above electrical unit (20) comprises: a power connection terminal (110) connected to an external commercial power source; a first power supply unit (120) connected to the power connection terminal (110) to convert AC to DC; a second power supply unit (130) connected to the power connection terminal (110) in parallel with the first power supply unit (120) to convert AC to DC and supply power smaller than the output power of the first power supply unit (120); a first input / output unit (180) to which a computer module (50) with an OS installed is detachably attached and coupled to the computer module (50) to perform signal input / output and receive power from the first power supply unit (120) to supply power to the computer module (50); and the first input / output unit (180) connected by an input / output signal cable (189). It may include a second input / output unit (140) that receives power from a first power supply unit (120) and performs input / output for the display unit (40), a sound control unit (160) that is directly or indirectly connected to the first input / output unit (180) and receives power from the second power supply unit (130) to control the plurality of speakers (31, 32), and a touch input control unit (170) that is connected to the second input / output unit (140) and receives power from the first power supply unit (120) to control the touch input unit of the display unit (40).

[0035] The above power connection terminal (110) is configured to be connected to an external commercial power source, and can be configured in various ways depending on the specifications of the power cable connected to the commercial power source, and may include a power socket (not shown) into which the power cable is inserted.

[0036] Meanwhile, the power connection terminal (110) may include a power switch (not shown) for completely cutting off power to the first power supply unit (120) and the second power supply unit (130) described later.

[0037] The first power supply unit (120) is configured to be connected to the power connection terminal unit (110) to convert alternating current into direct current, and can be configured in various ways depending on the direct current conversion and preset output voltage and amperage.

[0038] The second power supply unit (130) is configured to be connected to the power connection terminal unit (110) and convert AC to DC, and can be configured in various ways depending on the DC conversion and preset output voltage and amperage.

[0039] In particular, the second power supply unit (130) is preferably connected in parallel with the first power supply unit (120) to account for the requirement of relatively smaller power compared to the first power supply unit (120), such as power supply to a plurality of speakers (31, 32) described later, and is configured to supply power smaller than the output power of the first power supply unit (120).

[0040] That is, the second power supply unit (130) is configured to supply relatively large power in consideration of power supply to the computer module (50) and relatively large power supply to the display unit (40), and the second power supply unit (130) is configured to supply relatively small power compared to the first power supply unit (120), such as to a plurality of speakers (31, 32), thereby optimizing the configuration of the smart electronic whiteboard.

[0041] Specifically, since electronic whiteboards are often used in relatively large spaces such as schools and auditoriums, they require the use of high-output speakers. Consequently, if a high-output PSU (Power Supply Unit) is installed to supply power to these high-output speakers, the size of the power supply unit becomes relatively large, which leads to the problem of increasing the overall size of the electronic whiteboard.

[0042] In contrast, for the use of high-output speakers, by adding a separate auxiliary power source, i.e., a second power supply unit (130), for the output and power supply of the speaker in addition to the main power source, i.e., the first power supply unit (120), power usage can be made more efficient to reduce energy consumption, and a compact configuration can be achieved without increasing the size of the electronic whiteboard.

[0043] Meanwhile, the first power supply unit (120) and the second power supply unit (130) are configured to be connected to the power connection terminal unit (110) and convert AC, which is commercial power, into DC, and may be configured as a PCB board equipped with a transformer configuration that lowers the voltage before DC conversion, a circuit configuration for DC conversion, etc.

[0044] And the first power supply unit (120) and the second power supply unit (130) can be installed on a single first support plate (21).

[0045] At this time, the second power supply unit (130) can optimize the installation of the second power supply unit (130) by installing the first speaker (32), which will be described later, on the first support plate (21) and positioning it adjacent to the first speaker (32).

[0046] Specifically, the first speaker (32) may be configured as a woofer speaker designed to reproduce sound in a low frequency range (approximately 40Hz to 2,000Hz) or with a higher output than the second speaker (32) described later.

[0047] In this case, when the first speaker (32) is configured as a woofer speaker, it has a relatively thick structure, so by installing the second power supply unit (130) adjacent to the first speaker (32), the increase in thickness caused by the installation of the second power supply unit (130) can be eliminated or minimized.

[0048] The first input / output unit (180) is configured such that a computer module (50) with an OS installed is detachably connected to the computer module (50) to perform signal input / output, and receives power from the first power supply unit (120) to supply power to the computer module (50), and various configurations are possible depending on the connection structure with the computer module (50).

[0049] The above computer module (50) is a module that is detachably installed in the electrical unit (20), and any configuration capable of implementing the functions of an electronic whiteboard, such as an OPS (Open Pluggable Specification) module or a mini PC, is possible.

[0050] For reference, the OPS (Open Pluggable Specification) module, as presented in Patent Documents 1 and 2, was first announced by NEC, Intel, and Microsoft in 2010 as a PC used in electronic whiteboards and can be composed of a PC of substantially standardized specifications.

[0051] In particular, the computer module (50) is characterized by having Microsoft's Windows installed as the OS, but any OS that can be implemented as a PC for electronic whiteboard is acceptable.

[0052] The first input / output unit (180) is characterized by being configured to allow the computer module (50) to be detachably attached to perform power supply to the computer module (50) as well as signal input / output with the computer module (50), and may be configured as a first input / output board having a module connector (182) installed for coupling with the computer module (50).

[0053] The first input / output board may be equipped with a module connector (182) for coupling with the computer module (50), a power connection terminal for receiving power from the first power supply unit (120), a control unit for performing signal input / output with the computer module (50), and a cable connection terminal (188) for connecting to an input / output signal cable (189) that connects to the second input / output unit (140) described later.

[0054] The above module connector (182) is configured to be installed on the first input / output board for coupling with the computer module (50), and is configured to enable power supply to the computer module (50) and input / output to the computer module (50) through a single connector, and various configurations are possible depending on the signal input / output method and structure.

[0055] For example, if the computer module (50) is configured as an OPS PC, the module connector (182) may be configured as a JAP 80PIN connector for coupling with the computer module (50).

[0056] Meanwhile, the first input / output board and the computer module (50) can be installed on an installation bracket (181) installed on the main body (10).

[0057] The above-mentioned installation bracket (181) is a configuration provided in the main body (10) so that the first input / output board and the computer module (50) can be installed, and any configuration that allows the first input / output board and the computer module (50) to be installed is possible.

[0058] For example, the above-described installation bracket (181) may be composed of a lower bracket (181a) that is fixedly installed on the main body (10) similar to Patent Document 2 and on which the first input / output board is installed, and a cover member (181b) that covers the lower bracket (181a) to form an installation space on which the computer module (50) is installed.

[0059] The second input / output unit (140) is connected to the first input / output unit (180) by an input / output signal cable (189) and receives power from the first power supply unit (120) to perform input / output to the display unit (40), and various configurations are possible.

[0060] For example, the second input / output unit (140) may include the second input / output board (147), which is a PCB board with a preset circuit pattern installed thereon.

[0061] And the second input / output board (147) comprises: a first power connection terminal (149) to which a first power connection line connected to the first power supply unit (120) is connected; a main input / output terminal (141) to which an input / output signal cable for transmitting and receiving input / output signals with the first input / output unit (180) is connected; a touch signal connection terminal (142) to which a touch signal connection cable for receiving an input signal from the touch input unit of the display unit (40) is connected; a video terminal unit (143) to which a video signal cable connected to the display unit (40) is connected to perform video output and control for the display unit (40); and an external connection terminal group (150) positioned to be exposed to the side of the main body (10) and including at least one of a microphone connection terminal (151), a speaker output terminal (152), one or more USB connection terminals (153) and one or more video output terminals (154), and the A second input / output control unit (148) that controls the main input / output terminal (141), the touch signal connection terminal (142), the video terminal unit (143), and the external connection terminal group (150) by power supply from the first power supply unit (120) may be installed.

[0062] The first power connection terminal (149) is configured to be connected to the first power connection line connected to the first power supply unit (120) and installed on the second input / output board (147), and may be configured as a socket for attaching and detaching the first power connection line.

[0063] The above main input / output terminal (141) is configured such that it is installed on the second input / output board (147) and an input / output signal cable (189) for transmitting and receiving input / output signals with the first input / output unit (180) is connected thereto, and various configurations are possible depending on the connection structure of the input / output signal cable (189).

[0064] The touch signal connection terminal (142) is configured such that a touch signal connection cable (not shown) is connected to the second input / output board (147) to receive an input signal from the touch input section of the display section (40), and various configurations are possible depending on the connection structure of the touch signal connection cable.

[0065] The above video terminal section (143) is configured such that a video signal cable (not shown) is connected to the display section (40) to perform video output and control of the display section (40) installed on the second input / output board (147), and various configurations are possible depending on the connection structure of the touch signal connection cable.

[0066] Meanwhile, the second input / output board (147) may have various connection terminals installed on the edge of the main body (10), for example, on the left edge according to the drawing, for the convenience of connecting with earphones, microphones, video output, etc.

[0067] For example, the second input / output board (147) may be positioned so as to be exposed to the side of the main body (10), and may be equipped with an external connection terminal group (150) including a microphone connection terminal (151), a speaker output terminal (152), one or more USB connection terminals (153), one or more video output terminals (154), etc.

[0068] The above external connection terminal group (150) is positioned to be exposed to the side of the main body (10) for the convenience of connecting with earphones, microphones, video outputs, etc., and is configured to include at least one of a microphone connection terminal (151), a speaker output terminal (152), one or more USB connection terminals (153), and one or more video output terminals (154), i.e., one or more external connection terminals, and can be installed on the second input / output board (147) in a physically combined state or as individual modules.

[0069] Meanwhile, the above microphone connection terminal (151) and speaker output terminal (152) may, of course, be configured as a single socket for connection with a TRRS (4-pole) TRS terminal combined with audio and microphone.

[0070] The second input / output control unit (148) is installed on the second input / output board (147) and is configured to control the main input / output terminal (141), the touch signal connection terminal (142), the video terminal unit (143), and the external connection terminal group (150) by power supply from the first power supply unit (120), and various configurations are possible.

[0071] The above sound control unit (160) is connected directly or indirectly to the first input / output unit (180) and receives power from the second power supply unit (130) to control the plurality of speakers (31, 32), and various configurations are possible.

[0072] Here, the acoustic output signal for the plurality of speakers (31, 32) is received by being directly or indirectly connected to the first input / output unit (180). Specifically, the acoustic output signal may be received directly from the first input / output unit (180), or the acoustic output signal among the signals transmitted by the input / output signal cable (189) connected to the first input / output unit (180) may be received from the second input / output control unit (148).

[0073] Specifically, the sound control unit (160) may be configured as a module that is directly or indirectly connected to the first input / output unit (180) and controls the plurality of speakers (31, 32) according to the output signal of the first input / output unit (180), that is, the computer module (50).

[0074] For example, the sound control unit (160) may be composed of an auxiliary board (not shown) having one or more sound output terminals (161, 162) connected to the plurality of speakers (31, 32) and a second power connection terminal (169) connected to the second power supply unit (130).

[0075] The above auxiliary board is equipped with one or more sound output terminals (161, 162) connected to the plurality of speakers (31, 32) and a second power connection terminal (169) connected to the second power supply unit (130), and electrical components such as capacitors and resistors may be installed to amplify the sound output signal through the sound output terminals (161, 162).

[0076] And, the above sound output terminals (161, 162) may be configured to include a first sound output terminal (161) to which a first sound signal connection line connected to a pair of first speakers (32) installed at the bottom part of the main body (10) is coupled, and a second sound output terminal (162) to which a second sound signal connection line connected to a second speaker (31) installed at the center part of the main body (10) is coupled.

[0077] Meanwhile, the above sound control unit (160) has the problem that when composed of an auxiliary board, manufacturing becomes complicated and manufacturing costs increase due to the increase in the number of components constituting the electronic whiteboard.

[0078] Accordingly, the second input / output board (147) is preferably connected to the first power supply unit (120) and the second power supply unit (130) as a single board, and the sound control unit (160) is preferably installed on the second input / output board (147) and configured to receive a sound output signal from the first input / output unit (180) through a signal transmission pattern formed on the second input / output board (147).

[0079] In particular, it is preferable that the input / output for the display unit (40) is performed by the second input / output control unit (148) by receiving power from the first power supply unit (120), and the output for the plurality of speakers (31, 32) is performed by the sound control unit (160) by receiving power from the second power supply unit (130).

[0080] To this end, the second input / output board (147) may be equipped with one or more sound output terminals (161, 162) connected to the plurality of speakers (31, 32) and a second power connection terminal (169) connected to the second power supply unit (130).
