Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a hood structure for a vehicle. Background Technology

[0002] The vehicle body structure of Patent Document 1 maintains a pair of strikers, each provided on the left and right sides in the width direction of the hood inner to improve the rigidity of the vehicle body, by means of a pair of hood locking devices, each provided on the left and right sides in the width direction of the vehicle body. Prior art literature

[0003] Japanese Patent Publication No. 2020-69960 The problem to be solved

[0004] Generally, high dent resistance and high tensile strength are required on the shear side of a vehicle hood structure where a striker is installed. However, in Patent Document 1, the dent resistance and tensile strength on the shear side of a vehicle hood structure, particularly between a pair of strikers, were not examined.

[0005] The present disclosure aims to improve the dent resistance and tensile rigidity, and furthermore the rigidity of the inner panel near the joint with the vehicle body, in a vehicle hood structure fixed to a vehicle body on both sides in the width direction, and to improve the rigidity of the vehicle body to which the vehicle hood structure is fixed by improving the rigidity of the front portion of the hood. means of solving the problem

[0006] One aspect of the present disclosure provides a hood structure for a vehicle comprising: an outer panel constituting a part of the outer surface of the vehicle; an inner panel disposed below the outer panel; a pair of base plates provided on both sides in the vehicle width direction and each joined to the inner panel; a pair of strikers each supported by the pair of base plates; a pair of joints where the inner panel and the pair of base plates are each joined; and a reinforcing member installed between the outer panel and the inner panel on the front side of the vehicle and extending in the vehicle width direction between the pair of joints, wherein the reinforcing member comprises a first reinforcing member installed opposite the outer panel and for supporting the outer panel, and a pair of second reinforcing members each disposed at both ends in the vehicle width direction and each joined to the pair of joints.

[0007] According to this configuration, the reinforcing member extends in the vehicle width direction between a pair of joints, where the inner panel and a pair of base plates are respectively joined. Additionally, the reinforcing member is provided with a first reinforcing member to support the outer panel. Thus, dent resistance and tensile strength can be improved between the pair of joints, that is, between the pair of strikers.

[0008] In addition, according to this configuration, since the second reinforcing part of the reinforcing member is joined to the joint, the rigidity of the inner panel around the joint can be improved.

[0009] In addition, since the reinforcing member extends in the vehicle width direction between a pair of joints, the rigidity of the inner panel between the pair of joints is improved, and as a result, the rigidity of the vehicle body to which the vehicle hood structure is fixed can be improved.

[0010] The inner panel may be sandwiched between the second reinforcing member and the pair of base plates at the pair of joints.

[0011] If a base plate supporting a striker is placed on the upper side of the inner panel, it is necessary to provide a hole in the inner panel to expose the striker to the lower side of the inner panel, which reduces the rigidity of the inner panel around the joint. In contrast, according to this configuration, the second reinforcing member is placed on the upper side of the inner panel, and the base plate is placed on the lower side of the inner panel. Therefore, there is no need to install a hole in the inner panel to insert and penetrate the striker, so the reduction in rigidity of the inner panel around the joint can be suppressed.

[0012] The reinforcing member may be provided continuously at the front end of the first reinforcing member and may have a front end extending toward the inner panel side.

[0013] According to this configuration, the reinforcing member is provided continuously with the first reinforcing member and the front end of the first reinforcing member and has a front portion extending toward the inner panel, so the bending stiffness and torsional stiffness of the reinforcing member are improved compared to the case where the front portion is not provided. As a result, deformation of the reinforcing member is suppressed when a load is applied to the reinforcing member from a pair of strikers, and contributes to the improvement of the rigidity of the vehicle body.

[0014] The inner panel is extended in the vehicle width direction and has a bottom surface having a pair of joints, and is also extended in the vehicle width direction and has a slanted surface that is extended upward toward the rear side and is also provided with the bottom surface. In a cross-section perpendicular to the vehicle width direction, the angle formed by the slanted surface with respect to the rear direction may be 110° or more.

[0015] Generally, when a pedestrian's head collides with a vehicle hood structure, the direction of impact is approximately 50° relative to the ground. According to this configuration, since the inclined surface is tilted at 60° relative to the direction of impact, the inclined surface is prone to tilting deformation even when a pedestrian's head collides with the vehicle hood structure. Therefore, the head injury value when a pedestrian's head collides with the vehicle hood structure can be reduced, thereby improving pedestrian protection performance.

[0016] The inner panel may have a bead extending in the vehicle width direction to connect the pair of joints.

[0017] According to this configuration, a bead is provided between a pair of joints, thereby improving the bending stiffness and torsional stiffness of the inner panel bottom surface. Additionally, when a load is applied to one striker, a portion of the load is transferred to the other striker through the bead, thereby suppressing deformation of the joints. Effects of the invention

[0018] According to the present disclosure, dent resistance and tensile rigidity, and furthermore, the rigidity of the inner panel near the joint with the vehicle body can be improved, and the rigidity of the vehicle body to which the vehicle hood structure is fixed can be improved by improving the rigidity of the front part of the hood. [0032] The first bead (23) is formed by extending in the vehicle width direction. A plurality of first beads (23) are spaced apart in the front-rear direction. In the cross-section shown in FIG. 4, the outer panel (10) and the first bead (23) form a closed cross-section. Additionally, the first bead (23) is not limited to the structure of the present embodiment and can be appropriately selected according to the target performance, and, for example, may be formed by extending in the front-rear direction.

[0033] As illustrated in FIG. 2, the second bead (24) is provided to surround the second bonding surface (22). Additionally, as clearly illustrated in FIG. 4, the second bead (24) is defined by a bottom surface (24a) to which the base plate (30) is bonded, a first inclined surface (24b) that extends rearward continuously from the rear end of the bottom surface (24a), and a second inclined surface (24c) that extends forward continuously from the front end of the bottom surface (24a). The bottom surface (24a), the first inclined surface (24b), and the second inclined surface (24c) are provided on the front side of the hood structure (1).

[0034] The first inclined surface (24b) is extended to connect the bottom surface (24a) and the second joining surface (22). The first inclined surface (24b) is extended upward (toward side of the outer panel (10)) in a slanted manner from the rear end of the bottom surface (24a) toward the rear side. In addition, in this embodiment, the angle (θ) formed by the first inclined surface (24b) and the front-rear direction in the cross-section shown in FIG. 4 is 110°. The angle (θ) is preferably 110° or greater. The angle (θ) is more preferably 130° or greater. The first inclined surface (24b) of this embodiment is an example of an inclined surface according to the present disclosure.

[0035] The second inclined surface (24c) is extended upward (toward side of the outer panel (10)) in an inclined manner from the front portion of the bottom surface (24a) toward the front side. Additionally, the second inclined surface (24c) is provided continuously to the third joint surface (25) positioned forward of the second inclined surface (24c).

[0036] The first inclined surface (24b) and the second inclined surface (24c) of the present embodiment are formed in a straight line from the bottom surface (24a) toward the second joint surface (22) or the third joint surface (25), but, for example, a bending line may be provided in the middle of the first inclined surface (24b) or the second inclined surface (24c), or a shelf may be provided near the bottom surface (24a). That is, the first inclined surface (24b) and the second inclined surface (24c) may be bent by the bending line, or formed into a step shape by the shelf. In this case, the angle (θ) corresponds to the angle of the area above the bending line or the shelf.

[0037] The base plate (30) of the present embodiment is a plate-shaped member made of steel. A pair of base plates (30A, 30B) are provided on each side in the width direction of the hood structure (1). The base plate (30) is joined to the lower side of the bottom surface (24a) of the inner panel (20). In addition, a striker (40) is fixed to the base plate (30).

[0038] The striker (40) is a member for fixing the hood structure (1) to the body (2) of the vehicle (V). The striker (40) is supported by a base plate (30). That is, a pair of strikers (40A, 40B) are provided on each side in the width direction of the vehicle (V).

[0039] As illustrated in FIG. 3, at the joint (50), the inner panel (20) is fitted onto the base plate (30) and the reinforcing member (60), and the inner panel (20), the base plate (30), and the reinforcing member (60) are joined together. In this embodiment, the reinforcing member (60) is positioned on the upper side of the inner panel (20), and the base plate (30) is positioned on the lower side of the inner panel (20). Additionally, at the joint (50), the inner panel (20), the base plate (30), and the reinforcing member (60) are fastened together by bolts not shown. Furthermore, in this embodiment, the inner panel (20), the base plate (30), and the reinforcing member (60) are joined by bolts, but are not limited thereto; they may also be joined by blind rivets, self-piercing rivets, mechanical clinch, etc., which allow for the joining of different metals, and the joining method can be appropriately selected according to the required joining strength.

[0040] The reinforcing member (60) extends in the vehicle width direction between a pair of joints (50A, 50B). The reinforcing member (60) comprises a reinforcing member body (70) extending in the vehicle width direction and a pair of ends (80A, 80B) positioned on both sides of the reinforcing member body (70) in the vehicle width direction. Additionally, the reinforcing member (60) of the present embodiment is made of an aluminum alloy.

[0041] In the following description, if there is no need to specifically distinguish each of the pair of ends (80A, 80B), one of them may simply be referred to as end (80).

[0042] FIG. 5 is a perspective view showing the area around the end (80) of the reinforcing member (60) of the present embodiment.

[0043] Referring to FIGS. 3 to 5, the reinforcing member body (70) is provided with a first reinforcing part (71), a front part (72), a plurality of front-side connecting legs (73), and a plurality of rear-side connecting legs (74). Additionally, as clearly illustrated in FIG. 4, in the cross-section shown in FIG. 4, the inner panel (20) and the reinforcing member body (70) form a closed cross-section.

[0044] The first reinforcing member (71) is a rectangular plate. As clearly illustrated in FIG. 4, the first reinforcing member (71) is positioned so that its upper surface faces the outer panel (10). Additionally, the first reinforcing member (71) is provided with a recessed concave bead (75) on the side opposite to the outer panel (10).

[0045] The concave bead (75) forms a closed cross section together with the outer panel (10) in the cross section shown in FIG. 4. Additionally, as shown in FIG. 5, the concave bead (75) extends downward from the first reinforcing member (71) and is defined by a pair of opposing vertical wall members (75a) and a bottom wall member (75b) connecting the bottom ends of the pair of vertical wall members (75a).

[0046] The front portion (72) is extended downward (inner panel (20) side) toward the front side from the front portion of the first reinforcing portion (71).

[0047] As shown in FIG. 2, a plurality of front-side connecting legs (73) are spaced apart in the width direction. Also, as shown in FIG. 4 and FIG. 5, the front-side connecting legs (73) are plate-shaped and extend forward from the lower end of the front section (72). The front-side connecting legs (73) are connected to the third connecting surface (25) of the inner panel (20).

[0048] As shown in FIG. 2, a plurality of rear-side joining legs (74) are spaced apart in the vehicle width direction. Also, as shown in FIG. 4 and FIG. 5, the rear-side joining legs (74) are plate-shaped extending from the rear end of the first reinforcing member (71) toward the rear. The rear-side joining legs (74) are joined to the first joining surface (21) of the inner panel (20).

[0049] Additionally, as shown in FIG. 3, a pair of side sections (76A, 76B) are provided at both ends of the reinforcing member body (70) in the vehicle width direction. In the following description, if there is no need to specifically distinguish each of the pair of side sections (76A, 76B), one of them may simply be referred to as a side section (76).

[0050] As shown in FIGS. 3 and 5, the side portion (76) is composed of a plurality of surfaces inclined downward toward the outer side in the width direction.

[0051] The end portion (80) of the present embodiment is provided continuously at the lower end of the side portion (76). A pair of end portions (80A, 80B) each have a pair of second reinforcing portions (81A, 81B) and a pair of protruding portions (82A, 82B) that rise up from the outer edge of each of the second reinforcing portions (81A, 81B).

[0052] In the following description, if there is no need to specifically distinguish each of the pair of second reinforcing parts (81A, 81B), one of them may simply be referred to as the second reinforcing part (81). Likewise, if there is no need to specifically distinguish each of the pair of vertical parts (82A, 82B), one of them may simply be referred to as the vertical part (82).

[0053] The second reinforcing member (81) is a rectangular plate and is connected to the joint (50). At the joint (50), the inner panel (20), the base plate (30), and the second reinforcing member (81) are fastened together by bolts not shown. The second reinforcing member (81) has an insertion through hole formed therein for inserting and passing the bolt.

[0054] The riser section (82) is provided to surround the second reinforcing section (81) from three directions. Specifically, the riser section (82) is provided continuously at both ends in the front-rear direction and at the outer end in the vehicle width direction of the second reinforcing section (81). Meanwhile, a side section (76) is provided continuously at the inner end in the vehicle width direction of the second reinforcing section (81).

[0055] Additionally, as illustrated in FIG. 5, a flange portion (83) extending laterally (in a direction intersecting the vertical direction) is provided at the upper portion of the riser portion (82). The flange portion (83) is provided to surround the second reinforcing portion (81) from three directions. Specifically, the flange portion (83) is provided to surround the second reinforcing portion (81) from both sides in the front-rear direction and from the outer side in the vehicle width direction. The inner end of the flange portion (83) in the vehicle width direction is connected to the first reinforcing portion (71) through the side portion (76).

[0056] The hood structure (1) of this embodiment has the following functions.

[0057] The reinforcing member (60) extends in the vehicle width direction between a pair of joints (50A, 50B) in which the inner panel (20) and a pair of base plates (30, 30B) are respectively joined. Additionally, the reinforcing member (60) is provided with a first reinforcing member (71) for supporting the outer panel (10). Thus, dent resistance and tensile strength can be improved between the pair of joints (50A, 50B), that is, between the pair of strikers (40A, 40B).

[0058] In addition, according to this configuration, since the second reinforcing part (81) of the reinforcing member (60) is joined to the joint part (50), the rigidity of the inner panel (20) around the joint part (50) can be improved.

[0059] In addition, since the reinforcing member (60) connects between a pair of joints (50A, 50B), the rigidity of the inner panel (20) between the pair of joints (50A, 50B) is improved, and as a result, the rigidity of the vehicle body (2) to which the hood structure (1) is fixed can be improved.

[0060] The reinforcing member (60) has the function of supporting the outer panel (10) and the function of improving the rigidity of the inner panel (20) around the joint (50). Therefore, compared to the case where a member having the function of supporting the outer panel (10) and a member having the function of improving the rigidity of the inner panel (20) around the joint (50) are provided separately,

[0061] For example, if a base plate (30) supporting a striker (40) is placed on the upper side of the inner panel (20), it is necessary to provide a hole in the inner panel (20) to expose the striker (40) to the lower side of the inner panel (20), and thus the rigidity of the inner panel (20) around the joint (50) is reduced. In contrast, in the present embodiment, the second reinforcing part (81) of the reinforcing member (60) is placed on the upper side of the inner panel (20), and the base plate (30) is placed on the lower side of the inner panel (20). Therefore, it is not necessary to provide a hole in the inner panel (20) to insert and penetrate the striker (40), so the reduction in rigidity of the inner panel (20) around the joint (50) can be suppressed.

[0062] Since the reinforcing member (60) is provided with a first reinforcing part (71) and a front part (72) that is continuously provided at the front end of the first reinforcing part (71) and extends toward the inner panel (20), the bending rigidity and torsional rigidity of the reinforcing member (60) are improved compared to the case where the front part (72) is not provided. As a result, deformation of the reinforcing member (60) can be suppressed when a load is applied to the reinforcing member (60) in the striker (40).

[0063] Generally, when a pedestrian's head collides with a vehicle hood structure, the direction of the collision is approximately 50° relative to the ground. In this embodiment, the first inclined surface (24b) is inclined at 110° or more relative to the ground, that is, the first inclined surface (24b) is inclined at 60° or more relative to the direction of the collision. Accordingly, even when a pedestrian's head collides with the hood structure (1), the first inclined surface (24b) is prone to collapsing deformation. Therefore, when a pedestrian's head collides with the hood structure (1), the head injury value can be reduced, thereby improving pedestrian protection performance.

[0064] [Variation Example]

[0065] FIG. 6 is a drawing similar to FIG. 5 of a reinforcing member (60) relating to a modified example of the first embodiment.

[0066] In the modified example illustrated in FIG. 6, a plurality of connecting surfaces (77) are provided to connect two adjacent front-side connecting legs (73) in the width direction. The connecting surfaces (77) protrude upward (towards the outer panel (10)). The front-side connecting legs (73) and the connecting surfaces (77), which are provided alternately and continuously, are wavy when viewed from the front.

[0067] FIG. 7 is a cross-sectional view of a reinforcing member (60) in the same manner as FIG. 5, relating to another variation of the first embodiment.

[0068] In the modified example illustrated in FIG. 7, a plurality of openings (78) are provided in the front portion (72) spaced apart in the vehicle width direction. The openings (78) are formed between two adjacent front-side connecting legs (73) in the vehicle width direction. Additionally, the openings (78) are formed downward from the boundary between the front portion (72) and the first reinforcing portion (71). At least a portion of the front portion (72) is formed discontinuously along the vehicle width direction.

[0069] [Second Embodiment]

FIG. 9 is a cross-sectional view of a hood structure (101) according to a second embodiment, similar to FIG. 4. FIG. 10 is a perspective view of the area around the end (80) of a reinforcing member (60) according to a second embodiment.

[0071] The hood structure (101) of the second embodiment has the same configuration as the hood structure (1) of the first embodiment, except for the shape of the inner panel (120), and references FIGS. 1 and FIGS. 2. In addition, the same configuration as in the first embodiment in the second embodiment is indicated by the same reference numerals, and a detailed description thereof is omitted. The hood structure (101) of this embodiment is an example of a hood structure for a vehicle according to the present disclosure.

[0072] Referring to FIGS. 8 to 10, a reinforcing bead (126) extending in the vehicle width direction is provided on the bottom surface (24a) of the inner panel (120) to connect a pair of joints (50A, 50B). The reinforcing bead (126) protrudes upward (toward side of the outer panel (10)). Additionally, as shown in FIG. 10, both ends of the reinforcing bead (126) penetrate the side portion (76) of the reinforcing member (60) to reach the second reinforcing portion (81).

[0073] The hood structure (101) of the second embodiment has the same function as the hood structure (1) of the first embodiment.

[0074] In addition, since a reinforcing bead (126) is provided to connect a pair of joints (50A, 50B), the bending rigidity and torsional rigidity of the inner panel (120) can be improved. Also, when a load is applied to one striker (40), a portion of the load is transferred to the other striker (40) through the reinforcing bead (126), thereby suppressing deformation of the joint (50).

[0075] [Third Embodiment]

[0076] FIG. 11 is a top view of a hood structure (201) according to a third embodiment. In FIG. 11, the drawing of the outer panel (10) is omitted. FIG. 12 is a cross-sectional view along line XII-XII of FIG. 11. FIG. 13 is a cross-sectional view along line XIII-XIII of FIG. 11. FIG. 14 is a perspective view of a reinforcing member (260) according to a third embodiment.
