Abstract
Description
Technology Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition that increases skin absorption efficacy when used in combination with a beauty device. Specifically, the invention relates to a cosmetic composition that exhibits excellent absorption rate into the skin when the cosmetic composition is applied to the skin while stimulating it with a beauty device that includes at least one function among electrical stimulation and electroporation. Background Technology
[0002] As modern people's desire for appearance management has risen to an unprecedented level, skin care is being carried out through various methods, such as dermatological procedures and the use of functional cosmetics. Among these, dermatological procedures are known to be more effective than other methods; however, for busy modern individuals, it is somewhat difficult to allocate the time for such procedures or to pay the high costs.
[0003] Accordingly, the beauty industry is striving to facilitate the effective absorption of various active ingredients into the skin using beauty devices to achieve efficacy similar to dermatological procedures, thereby making high-efficiency skin care more accessible to modern individuals. As a result of this growth, research is currently underway not only on the development of beauty devices themselves but also on compositions that can be used in conjunction with these devices to achieve optimal efficiency.
[0004] Accordingly, the inventors continued research to develop a composition capable of effectively absorbing active ingredients into the skin when used with a beauty device. As a result, they confirmed that the skin absorption capacity of active ingredients can be significantly improved by encapsulating the active ingredients in the form of liposomes and nanoparticles and optimizing the formulation, thereby completing the present invention. Specific details for implementing the invention
[0021] Unless otherwise defined, all technical and scientific terms used herein have the same meaning as commonly understood by a skilled expert in the art to which the present invention pertains. In general, the nomenclature used herein is well known and commonly used in the art. Furthermore, in describing embodiments of the present invention, detailed descriptions of related known components or functions are omitted if it is determined that such detailed descriptions would hinder understanding of the embodiments of the present invention. Additionally, while embodiments of the present invention will be described below, the technical concept of the present invention is not limited or restricted thereto and can be modified and implemented in various ways by those skilled in the art.
[0022] In this specification, when a part is described as including a certain component, it means that, unless specifically stated otherwise, it does not exclude other components but may include additional components. In this specification, the term "and / or" includes a combination of a plurality of related items or any one of a plurality of related items.
[0024] According to an embodiment of the present invention, a cosmetic composition is provided that increases skin absorption efficacy by using in combination with a beauty device comprising: a double liposome containing a first active ingredient; a nanoparticle containing a second active ingredient; a thickening agent; and a polyol. The cosmetic composition of the present invention is optimally designed for use in combination with a beauty device, so that when the composition is subdivided into smaller portions and applied to the skin using a beauty device, the transdermal absorption efficacy of the active ingredient within the cosmetic composition can be significantly increased, and the formulation stability is excellent, making long-term storage easy.
[0025] In this specification, “Beauty Device” refers to an electronic device used for skin care and / or health management, meaning a device equipped with at least one of the functions of electro-stimulation, light therapy, ultrasound, and electroporation, and various “Beauty Devices” available on the market may be used. Users can utilize the Beauty Device to easily improve or maintain their skin condition. Specifically, the cosmetic composition of the present invention can easily deliver active ingredients to the skin when applied to the skin with at least one of the functions of electro-stimulation and electroporation.
[0027] The dual liposome of the present invention serves to effectively deliver various active ingredients contained within to the skin through electrical repulsion generated from a beauty device.
[0028] In this specification, “liposome” refers to a small spherical vesicle having at least one lipid bilayer. Liposomes are composed of amphiphilic molecules having hydrophilic and hydrophobic groups, which spontaneously combine through the interaction of said amphiphilic molecules to form an aligned structure in which the outer part of the bilayer is hydrophilic and the inner part of the bilayer is hydrophobic. Liposomes are classified into SUV (Small Unilamellar Vesicle), LUV (Large Unilamellar Vesicle), and MLV (Multi-Lamellar Vesicle) according to their size and lamellarity. SUVs have a particle size of 20 to 100 nm, LUVs have a particle size exceeding 100 nm, and MLVs generally have a particle size of 1 to 5 μm and possess multiple lipid bilayers. Generally, due to the above-described structure, liposomes have the advantage of being able to efficiently transport both hydrophilic and hydrophobic substances into cells.
[0029] In this specification, “double liposome” is interpreted as a general term for a structure in which another liposome is contained within a single liposome.
[0030] When the double liposome of the present invention is applied to the skin, the mechanism for delivering active ingredients deep into the skin is as follows: first, the double liposome, having components similar to the skin barrier, binds to the skin, and the outer membrane of the double liposome has properties similar to a cell membrane, thereby helping the liposome to be absorbed through the skin barrier. During the process of absorption through the skin barrier, as the outer membrane of the double liposome breaks down, the components inside the double liposome are delivered to the skin, and through this, the liposomes inside the double liposome penetrate the stratum corneum of the skin. Subsequently, the liposomes inside the double liposome strengthen the lipid layer of the stratum corneum and release active ingredients, thereby effectively delivering the active ingredients deep into the skin.
[0031] Specifically, the double liposomes included in the cosmetic composition of the present invention may have a positively charged surface. Accordingly, by generating a positive charge from a beauty device and then applying the cosmetic composition using this charge, the penetration power into the skin can be improved by utilizing the electrical repulsion between the same charges.
[0032] In one embodiment, the first active ingredient included in the double liposome may include at least one of hyaluronic acid, ceramide, and glutathione. As the first active ingredient, if hyaluronic acid is included, excellent moisturizing efficacy may be exhibited; if ceramide is included, excellent skin elasticity-enhancing efficacy may be exhibited; and if glutathione is included, excellent skin whitening efficacy may be exhibited. However, the method is not limited thereto, and known active ingredients available in the art, such as carnosine, acetyl hexapeptide-8, hydrolyzed collagen, hydrolyzed elastin, retinol, idebenone, and bakuchiol, may be used.
[0033] In one embodiment, the hyaluronic acid includes pure hyaluronic acid, hyaluronic acid derivatives, and hyaluronic acid salts, such as hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, sodium hyaluronate crosspolymer, hydroxypropyltrimonium hyaluronate, sodium acetylated hyaluronate, and hyaluronic acid salts, but is not limited thereto. The above hyaluronic acid salt includes all types of salts and may be selected from the group consisting of, for example, sodium hyaluronate, potassium hyaluronate, and hydrolyzed calcium hyaluronate, but is not limited thereto.

[0035] In one embodiment, the double liposome containing the first active ingredient may be included in an amount of 0.01 to 5 weight percent based on the total weight of the cosmetic composition. However, it is not limited thereto.
[0037] The nanoparticles of the present invention serve to effectively deliver various active ingredients to the skin through the skin gaps created by electrical pulses generated from a beauty device.
[0038] In this specification, “nanoparticle” means a fine particle of 1000 nm or less, and may mean that active ingredients with large molecular sizes exist in the size of fine nanoparticles.
[0039] In one embodiment, the second active ingredient included in the nanoparticle may include at least one of hyaluronic acid, glucosylrutin, and niacinamide. As the second active ingredient, if hyaluronic acid is included, excellent moisturizing efficacy may be exhibited; if glucosylrutin is included, excellent skin elasticity-enhancing efficacy may be exhibited; and if niacinamide is included, excellent skin whitening efficacy may be exhibited. However, the method is not limited thereto, and known active ingredients available in the art, such as carnosine, acetyl hexapeptide-8, hydrolyzed collagen, hydrolyzed elastin, retinol, idebenone, and bakuchiol, may be used.
[0040] In one embodiment, nanoparticles containing the second active ingredient may be included in an amount of 0.01 to 5 weight percent based on the total weight of the cosmetic composition. However, it is not limited thereto.

[0048] In one embodiment, the linear thickener and the network thickener may be included in a weight ratio of 1:0.04 to 25, and specifically in a weight ratio of 1:0.1 to 10. When the linear thickener and the network thickener are included in the above weight ratios, formulation stability is maximized and synergistic effects with the beauty device may be excellent.
[0049] In one embodiment, the thickener may be included in an amount of 0.01 to 5 weight% based on the total weight of the cosmetic composition, and specifically, the total weight of the linear thickener and the network thickener may be included in an amount of 0.01 to 5 weight% based on the total weight of the cosmetic composition. However, it is not limited thereto.
[0051] The polyol of the present invention serves to ensure formulation stability as a solvent for cosmetic compositions and to form a viscosity suitable for combined use with beauty devices.
[0052] In this specification, “polyol” is a general term for components containing two or more hydroxyl groups (-OH) within a molecule, and includes components such as dialcohols and trialcohols.
[0053] In one embodiment, the polyol may include at least one of glycerin, butylene glycol, propylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, methylpropanediol, pentylene glycol, glycereth-26, propanediol, sorbitol, diglycerin, and isopentyldiol, and specifically may include at least one of glycerin, propanediol, methylpropanediol, and isopentyldiol. [0069] In the following, examples and experimental examples are presented to further explain the present invention in more detail, but the present invention is not limited thereto.
[0071] [Preparation Example]
[0072] Preparation of Examples and Comparative Examples
[0073] As shown in Tables 1 to 3 below, compositions of the Examples and Comparative Examples were prepared by varying the weight ratio of double liposomes and nanoparticles, the content of polyol, the content of neutralizing agent, the total content of thickener, and the weight ratio of linear thickener to network thickener. Specifically, the Examples and Comparative Examples in Table 1 used hyaluronic acid as the first and second active ingredients; the Examples and Comparative Examples in Table 2 used ceramide as the first active ingredient and glucosylrutin as the second active ingredient; and the Examples and Comparative Examples in Table 3 used glutathione as the first active ingredient and niacinamide as the second active ingredient. In the tables below, DL represents double liposomes and NP represents nanoparticles. Multi Moisture Complex 8 (K-One C&C) was used as a double liposome containing hyaluronic acid, PH-Hyaluronan Nano-Particles (ROWMAP) as a nanoparticle containing hyaluronic acid, KAI CERA TP1.0 (K-One C&C) as a double liposome containing ceramide, HANP-GR (ROWMAP) as a nanoparticle containing glucosilutin, KAI MHL Moistvitabio (K-One C&C) as a double liposome containing glutathione, and HANP-VB3 (ROWMAP) as a nanoparticle containing niacinamide.
[0074] The specific manufacturing method is as follows.
[0075] The ingredients listed in the table below were mixed and stirred in an AGIMIXER for 10 minutes to complete the examples and comparative examples. The unit of the ingredient content in Tables 1 to 3 below is weight%.
[0076]
[0078]
[0080]
[0082] [Experimental Example]
[0083] Experimental Example 1. Evaluation of Formulation Stability
[0084] To evaluate the formulation stability of the above examples and comparative examples, the above examples and comparative examples were stored for one month at low temperature (5℃), room temperature (25℃), and high temperature (40℃), and then evaluated whether the formulation remained stable as it was immediately after manufacturing. If the formulation was not stable under any of the temperature conditions, it was evaluated as unsatisfactory. The evaluation results by the above method are shown in Tables 4 to 6 below.
[0085]
[0087]
[0089]
[0091] According to Tables 4 to 6 above, it was confirmed that the examples containing appropriate amounts of polyol, linear thickener, network thickener, and neutralizing agent all maintained a stable formulation identical to the formulation immediately after preparation over a wide temperature range. However, Comparative Examples 1, 9, and 17, which contained a small amount of polyol, and Comparative Examples 3, 11, and 19, which contained a small amount of thickener, were found to undergo phase separation very rapidly, and Comparative Examples 2, 10, and 18, which contained an excessive amount of polyol, were also found to undergo phase separation during long-term storage. Furthermore, Comparative Examples 4, 12, and 20, which contained an excessive amount of thickener, were found to undergo separation of the high-viscosity layer and the low-viscosity layer during long-term storage, and Comparative Examples 5, 6, 13, 14, 21, and 22, in which the linear thickener and network thickener deviated from an appropriate weight ratio, were found not to form a formulation suitable for application.
[0093] Experimental Example 2. Comparative Experiment on Active Ingredient Absorption Capacity - Franz Diffusion Cell
[0094] To evaluate the skin penetration power and active ingredient delivery ability of the cosmetic compositions of Examples 4, 8, 12 and Comparative Examples 7, 8, 15, 16, 23, and 24, a transdermal absorption diffusion test (Franz diffusion cell) was conducted.
[0095] Specifically, the artificial skin Strat-M ®Experiments were conducted by mounting a membrane (Transdermal Diffusion Test Model) onto a Franz-type diffusion cell (Transdermal Semi-Auto Diffusion Cell, LOGAN Instruments, USA). After adding 50 mM phosphate buffer (pH 7.4, 0.1 M NaCl) to the receptor container (5 mL) of the Franz-type diffusion cell, the diffusion cell was mixed and dispersed at 32°C and 600 rpm, and the sample of the example or comparative example was placed in the donor container. Artificial skin was placed between the Franz diffusion cell and the media and fixed. After observing the absorption progress for 12 hours, all of the media solution was recovered using a fixed syringe. The emulsion remaining on the artificial skin that was not absorbed was washed away with dried kimwipes or 10 mL of ethanol. Then, the artificial skin into which the active ingredient had been absorbed and diffused was ground using a tip-type homogenizer, and all of the solution absorbed into the media was recovered. The content of each active ingredient contained in the recovered media solution was quantitatively evaluated through HPLC analysis to measure skin penetration and active ingredient delivery capabilities. In addition, to confirm synergy with a beauty device, the artificial skin containing the formulations was massaged for 3 minutes using a beauty device product in absorption mode for the samples in Table 1, elasticity mode for the samples in Table 2, and brightening mode for the samples in Table 3, after which the content of the active ingredients was measured in the same manner. Table 7 below shows the increase (%) in the absorption capacity of the active ingredients for the samples using the beauty device compared to the samples applied by hand.
[0096]
[0097] According to Table 7 above, it was confirmed that Examples 4, 8, and 12, which contain double liposomes and nanoparticles in an appropriate weight ratio, have significantly superior absorption of active ingredients when the formulation is applied in the same way compared to Comparative Examples 7, 8, 15, 16, 23, and 24, which deviate from the appropriate weight ratio.
[0098] Therefore, it was confirmed that including dual liposomes and nanoparticles in an appropriate weight ratio is an important component for realizing a synergistic effect through combined use with a beauty device.
[0100] Experimental Example 3. Evaluation of the Efficacy of the Active Ingredient
[0101] (1) Transepidermal Water Loss (TEWL) Comparative Experiment - Example 4 and Comparative Examples 7 to 8
[0102] Transepidermal water loss measurements were performed to compare the moisturizing efficacy of Example 4 and Comparative Examples 7 and 8. Specifically, for 10 subjects, the application area for Example 4 and Comparative Examples 7 and 8 was determined twice a day (morning and evening) approximately 3 cm below the popliteal fossa of the left arm. A sample the size of a finger joint was applied to each subject using a beauty device (Centellian Madeca Prime) in absorption mode for 4 weeks, and the transepidermal water loss (g / m²) before use and after 4 weeks of use was measured. 2 / h) was measured using a Tewameter TM300, and the average value was calculated after three measurements were taken. Transcutaneous water loss was calculated as shown in Equation 1 below.
[0103] [Mathematical Formula 1]
[0104] Transepidermal Water Loss Improvement Rate (%) = [(Measured value before sample use) - (Measured value after sample use)] / (Measured value before sample use) * 100 (%)
[0106]
[0107] According to Table 8 above, it was confirmed that both Example 4 and Comparative Examples 7 and 8 showed efficacy in improving transepidermal water loss; however, Example 4, which contains double liposomes containing hyaluronic acid and nanoparticles in an appropriate weight ratio, was confirmed to have a significantly superior rate of improvement in transepidermal water loss compared to Comparative Examples 7 and 8. Therefore, it was confirmed that the cosmetic composition of the present invention has excellent synergistic efficacy with beauty devices.
[0109] (2) Comparative experiment on efficacy of improving dermal density - Example 8 and Comparative Examples 15 to 16
[0110] To compare the skin elasticity improvement efficacy of Example 8 and Comparative Examples 15 to 16, the efficacy of improving dermal density was measured. Specifically, for 10 subjects, the application area for Example 8 and Comparative Examples 15 to 16 was determined twice a day (morning and evening) at an area approximately 3 cm below the popliteal fossa of the left arm. A sample the size of one finger joint was applied to each subject using a beauty device (Centellian Madeca Prime) in elasticity mode for 4 weeks. The increase rate in dermal density before use and after 4 weeks of use was measured using Ultrascan UC22, and the average value was calculated after three measurements were performed. The increase rate in dermal density was calculated as shown in Equation 2 below.
[0111] [Mathematical Formula 2]
[0112] Dermal density increase rate (%) = [(Measured value before sample use) - (Measured value after sample use)] / (Measured value before sample use) * 100 (%)
[0114]
[0115] According to Table 9 above, it was confirmed that both Example 8 and Comparative Examples 15 to 16 showed efficacy in improving dermal density; however, Example 8, which contains double liposomes containing ceramide and nanoparticles containing glucosylrutin in an appropriate weight ratio, was confirmed to have a significantly superior rate of improvement in dermal density compared to Comparative Examples 15 to 16. Therefore, it was confirmed that the cosmetic composition of the present invention has excellent synergistic efficacy with beauty devices.
[0117] (3) Comparative experiment on brightness improvement efficacy - Example 12 and Comparative Examples 23 to 24
[0118] To compare the skin whitening efficacy of Example 12 and Comparative Examples 23 and 24, measurements of skin brightness improvement efficacy were conducted. Specifically, for 10 subjects, the application area for Example 12 and Comparative Examples 23 and 24 was determined twice a day (morning and evening) at an area approximately 3 cm below the popliteal fossa of the left arm. A sample the size of one finger joint was applied to each subject using a beauty device (Centellian Madeca Prime) in brightening mode for 4 weeks. Skin brightness was measured before use and after 4 weeks of use using a Spectrophotometer D65 (6500K), and the average value was calculated after three measurements were performed. The degree of skin brightness improvement was △ L * It was measured through the calculation of, and △ L * The higher this value, the better the skin brightness improvement effect.
[0119]
[0120] According to Table 10 above, it was confirmed that both Example 12 and Comparative Examples 23 to 24 showed efficacy in increasing skin brightness; however, Example 12, which contains a double liposome containing glutathione and nanoparticles containing niacinamide in an appropriate weight ratio, was confirmed to have significantly superior skin whitening efficacy compared to Comparative Examples 23 to 24. Therefore, it was confirmed that the cosmetic composition of the present invention has excellent synergistic efficacy with beauty devices.
