Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a condensation-preventing transparent member for preventing condensation occurring on a transparent member of a camera, and a condensation-preventing device and method using the same. More specifically, the invention relates to a condensation-preventing transparent member and a condensation-preventing device using the same, which prevents condensation on camera glass by measuring one or more of the surface, interior, and exterior of a transparent member through a temperature sensor formed by etching across a transparent member disposed on the front of a camera image element of a camera, and generating heat through a heating wire formed by etching on the transparent member based on the measured temperature to raise the temperature to a level above a certain level. Background Technology

[0002] Recently, various types of cameras for security, protection, autonomous driving, hobbies, and recording have been commercialized and are being used in diverse fields and locations.

[0003] Generally, these cameras have camera glass on the front to protect the camera lens.

[0004] However, on rainy days or when there are large temperature changes, frost and condensation may form between the camera lens and the glass protecting the camera lens on the front of the camera lens, and between the camera lens and the camera image element due to the temperature difference between the outside and inside of the camera lens unit. Consequently, problems arise where the image becomes distorted or the resolution is reduced due to the frost and condensation formed in the field of view of the camera lens or the camera image element during shooting.

[0005] To solve these problems, various devices are being applied to prevent the formation of condensation and frost by applying heat from the outer edge of the camera lens unit, which includes the camera lens and glass, by wrapping a band with a heating wire around the outer edge of the camera lens unit.

[0006] However, using such a heating band can consume unnecessary power as heat is continuously applied, and installation is difficult and additional costs are incurred because the heating band must be configured in the camera to include a configuration for supplying additional power, and it can make it difficult to hold the camera when it needs to be gripped by hand, and if configured as an integrated unit, the size of the camera lens part may increase.

[0007] To solve these problems, Korean registered patent No. 10-1004171 [Heating element and method of manufacturing the same] (published on Dec. 24, 2010) (hereinafter referred to as the “prior art”) discloses a technology that can remove frost formed on glass and prevent condensation even with low voltage by forming a very fine conductive heating pattern on the glass surface.

[0008] These prior art technologies are also being applied to camera glass recently. However, the prior art has the problem of consuming unnecessary power because it requires continuously supplying power to a conductive heating pattern. To improve this, humidity is measured using a humidity sensor, and power is supplied to the conductive heating pattern based on the measured humidity to prevent condensation or remove frost that may occur on the camera glass. After preventing condensation or removing frost, the power supply is cut off to prevent unnecessary power consumption.

[0009] However, as a humidity sensor, the heating element operates when a certain humidity is formed between the camera lens and the glass, so there is a problem in that it is difficult to prevent frost or condensation in advance. Prior art literature

[0031] The configuration of a condensation-preventing permeable member according to the present invention is described below with reference to the attached drawings, and the configuration of a condensation-preventing device to which the condensation-preventing permeable member is applied and a condensation-preventing method are described.

[0032] FIG. 1 is a diagram showing the structure of a condensation-preventing transparent member according to the present invention; FIG. 2 is a diagram showing the pattern and configuration of a temperature sensor etched into a condensation-preventing transparent member of a camera according to a first embodiment of the present invention; FIG. 3 is a diagram showing the pattern and configuration of a temperature sensor etched into a condensation-preventing transparent member of a camera according to a second embodiment of the present invention; FIG. 4 is a diagram showing a graph of the effect of resolution according to the distance from the center point of the field of view of a camera image element to explain the method of forming a sensor pattern of a temperature sensor etched into a condensation-preventing transparent member of a camera according to the present invention; and FIG. 5 is a diagram showing an example of a camera configuration in which a temperature sensor is etched into a cover glass, which is a transparent member according to the present invention. The following description will be explained with reference to FIG. 1 to 5.

[0033] The transmission member (1) of the camera according to the present invention includes a temperature sensor (10) and a heating element (20).

[0034] The transparent member (1) may be configured in the form of a cover glass that covers the front part of the camera lens (210) of the camera (200) and protects the camera lens (210), as shown in the embodiment of FIG. 5, or it may be configured in the form of a lens that transmits appropriate light to the camera image element (not shown).

[0035] When the above-mentioned transparent member (1) is configured in the form of a cover glass (100), the shape of the cover glass (100) may be formed in various shapes such as elliptical, circular, square, convex, or concave.

[0036] In addition, when the transparent member (1) is configured in the form of a cover glass (100), the material of the transparent member (1) may be formed from various transparent materials such as glass, transparent and heat-resistant plastic, etc.

[0037] The temperature sensor (10) includes a metal wire (13) that is etched into the transparent member (1) so as to cross the center direction of the transparent member (1) and has a resistance value that changes according to temperature, and a sensor positive electrode (11) and a sensor negative electrode (12) for supplying current through the metal wire (13). Depending on the embodiment, the temperature sensor (10) may be configured only on the inner side of the transparent member (1), or it may be configured on both the inner and outer sides. In the latter case, the temperature sensor (10) installed on the outer side is preferably insulated by fixing an insulating film to prevent deterioration caused by moisture ingress into the metal wire (13), and it is preferable to configure the insulating film robustly to protect it from harsh external environments.

[0038] The sensor positive electrode (11) and sensor negative electrode (12) are configured at both ends of the transparent member (1) as shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 so as not to affect the angle of view captured through the camera image element.

[0039] The metal wire (13) of the temperature sensor (10) etched into the transparent member (1) is formed to cross the center direction of the transparent member (1) to detect the temperature of the center of the field of view of the camera image element or camera lens (210), which has a significant influence on resolution as shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, and is formed in a pattern (hereinafter referred to as “sensor pattern”) that avoids the center area (3) to minimize the influence on the resolution of the camera image element or camera lens at the center point of the field of view (2) corresponding to the center of the field of view of the camera image element or camera lens of the transparent member (1), which is the cover glass (100) or camera lens (210).

[0040] FIGS. 1 to 3 show a case where the sensor pattern of the temperature sensor (10) is formed downward from the center area (3), but it may be configured to be formed upward from the center area (3). Additionally, the temperature sensor (10) may be formed to cross the center in an up-and-down direction, and the sensor pattern may be configured to be formed to the left or right of the center area (3).

[0041] The above central region (3) is preferably a circular region having a constant radius (r) from the center point (2).

[0042] As shown in FIG. 4, the radius (r) is preferably set to a location between 0.2 Field and 0.22 Field from the center point (2), taking into account the influence of the metal wire (13) on the resolution. The location near the 0.2 Field is a location where the level of reduction in resolution begins to increase, and it is a location where the influence of the metal wire (13) on the resolution can be minimized. The Field is defined by defining the center point of the area (square, rectangle, circle, etc.) as the 0 Field and the boundary (corner of the square, circumference of the circle) as the 1 Field, and defining the distance as a value of 0 ≤ Field ≤ 1.

[0043] In addition, the metal wire (13) is preferably formed in a meandering (wave = twist) shape, a mesh shape, etc., as shown in the enlarged views of FIGS. 2 and FIGS. 3, in order to secure a deviation in the resistance value according to the temperature detected through the metal wire (13). The pattern of the twist shape and the mesh shape is called a metal wire pattern. A camera glass condensation prevention device that applies the temperature sensor (10) of the twist shape or mesh shape etched into the transparent member (1) of the present invention can increase the resistance deviation of the temperature sensor, thereby enabling temperature measurement with higher precision. The mesh shape may be applied as a shape in which ellipses are repeated as shown in FIG. 3, or a shape in which rhombuses, squares, etc. are repeated. However, if the performance of the camera deteriorates due to a repeating pattern (regular pattern), such as a Star Burst phenomenon, the shape may be processed into an irregular shape as a countermeasure.

[0044] It would be preferable to use nickel for the metal wire (13), which has a large variation in resistance value according to temperature. However, depending on the usage conditions of the product, other metal materials such as copper or platinum (if high-temperature measurement is required) that have a resistance value that changes linearly with temperature change may also be used.

[0045] Nickel is stable within a specific temperature range and has the characteristic of maintaining consistency in resistance values even with repeated measurements.

[0046] The pitch of the metal wire pattern is preferably 100㎛ to 200㎛, but it may be appropriately determined according to the user's convenience (transparency, resistance deviation, ease of processing, range of application, etc.).

[0047] As a material for the heating wire (23), any one of nickel, metal mesh, micro metal mesh, silver nanowire, carbon nanotube, or ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) may be used. The characteristics of the materials that can be used as the heating wire (23) are as shown in Table 1 below, and they may be selected and used according to design conditions, etc.

[0048] characteristic Metal Mesh Micro Metal Mesh Silver Nanowire Carbon Nanotube (CNT) ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) conductivity Very high Very high Very high height height transparency Low (visible) height height height height pliability well well well well lowness manufacturing costs Relatively cheap Relatively high manufacturing costs expensive height Cost-effective manufacturing possible

[0049] The heating element (20) includes a first heating element (20-1) and a second heating element (20-2) comprising a heating element (23) etched on both sides of the transparent member (1) centered on the temperature sensor (10), a heating element positive electrode (21) and a stranded wire negative electrode (22) for supplying current to the heating element (23), thereby receiving current to generate heat in the heating element (23) and maintaining a temperature above a certain level, so as to prevent condensation from forming on the surface of the transparent member (1).

[0050] As shown in FIG. 1, the heating wire (23) is formed in a mesh shape over the entire transparent member (1), excluding the part where the temperature sensor (10) is formed.

[0051] In particular, it is preferable that the heating element (23) be formed in the central region (3) as well, and it is preferable to use a material that is thinner or more transparent than the material of the temperature sensor (10) so as not to affect the resolution of the camera image element (210) when installed in the central region (3). As the material for the heating element (23), it is preferable to use nickel, which has excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance, physical durability, and processability, and the aforementioned silver nanowire, carbon nanotube, and ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) may also be used.

[0052] FIG. 6 is a diagram showing the configuration of a condensation prevention device using a condensation prevention permeable member according to the present invention.

[0053] Referring to FIG. 6, the condensation prevention device (300) according to the present invention includes a permeable member (1), a storage unit (310), a heating wire driving unit (320), a temperature detection unit (330), and a control unit (340).

[0054] Since the transparent member (1) has been described in detail with reference to FIGS. 1 to 5, FIG. 6 only describes the related operation and omits the description of the configuration of the transparent member (1).

[0055] The storage unit (310) includes a program area for storing a control program for controlling the overall operation of the condensation prevention device (300) according to the present invention and a temporary area for storing data generated during the execution of the control program, and according to an embodiment, may further include a data area for storing data required for the control program and data generated during the execution of the control program.

[0056] The heating wire driving unit (320) receives control from the control unit (340) and supplies or cuts off the heating wire driving current to the heating wire positive electrodes (21) of the first heating wire unit (20-1) and the second heating wire unit (20-2), respectively. The heating wires (23) of the first heating wire unit (20-1) and the second heating wire unit (20-2) generate heat when the heating wire driving current is supplied.

[0057] The temperature detection unit (330) receives control from the control unit (340) and outputs a temperature detection signal to the temperature sensor (10). The temperature sensor (10) receives a temperature detection signal corresponding to a resistance value according to at least one of the internal and external temperatures of the transparent member (1), detects at least one of the internal and external temperatures of the transparent member (1), and outputs the result to the control unit (340).

[0058] The control unit (340) controls the overall operation of the camera glass condensation prevention device according to the present invention.

[0059] Specifically, the control unit (340) monitors whether a temperature measurement event occurs and, when a temperature measurement event occurs, drives the temperature detection unit (330) and detects one or more of the internal and external temperatures adjacent to the center area (3) corresponding to the radius (r) from the center point (2) of the transparent member (1) based on the temperature value relative to the temperature detection signal set in response to the resistance deviation according to the temperature of the preset temperature sensor (10). The temperature measurement event may occur periodically after power is supplied to the camera (200), or it may occur when an external signal is input, such as the pressing of a condensation prevention button of an input means (not shown) to manually operate the condensation prevention function.

[0060] When the temperature of the transparent member (1) is detected, the control unit (340) determines whether the detected temperature is within the condensation prevention temperature range (condition) set in the storage unit (310). If it is within the condensation prevention temperature range, the heating wire driving unit (320) is driven to supply current to the heating wire (23) to generate heat, thereby raising the temperature of the transparent member (1). As the temperature of the transparent member (1) rises, condensation and frost are removed. The condensation prevention range may be between 38°C and 42°C, or it may be set to a single value of 40°C. Additionally, according to another embodiment, the condensation prevention range may be the range of the internal and external temperature difference of the transparent member (1) where condensation may occur.

[0061] When a temperature sensor (10) is etched on both the inner and outer sides of the transparent member (1), the control unit (340) can determine the conditions for condensation occurrence more precisely based on the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the transparent member (1), and accordingly, can prevent condensation occurrence more accurately and precisely.

[0062] While preventing condensation from occurring on the transparent member (1) through the heating wire (23) in the condensation prevention temperature range, if the detected temperature moves out of the condensation prevention temperature range and into the condensation safety temperature range, the control unit (340) turns off the heating wire drive unit (320).

[0063] FIG. 7 is a flowchart illustrating a method for preventing condensation on a camera glass using a camera glass with a built-in temperature sensor according to the present invention.

[0064] Referring to FIG. 7, the control unit (340) monitors whether a first glass temperature measurement event occurs (S111). As described above, the first glass temperature measurement event may occur at regular intervals when power is supplied to the camera (200), or it may occur in response to an external signal input at the request of a user.

[0065] When a first glass temperature measurement event occurs, the control unit (340) drives the temperature detection unit (10) to supply a temperature detection signal to the temperature sensor (10) etched into the transparent member (1), and detects one or more of the internal and external temperatures at a location adjacent to the center of the surface of the transparent member (1) accordingly (S113).

[0066] When a temperature is detected, the control unit (340) determines whether the detected temperature is within the condensation prevention temperature range (S115).

[0067] If the detected temperature is in the condensation prevention temperature range, the control unit (340) drives the heating wire driving unit (320) to generate heat on the heating wire (23) etched on the surface of the transparent member (1) (S117).

[0068] During the operation of the heating element drive unit (320), the control unit (340) may detect the temperature through the temperature detection unit (330) according to the occurrence cycle of the first glass temperature measurement event (S121), monitor whether a second glass temperature measurement event has a different cycle from the occurrence cycle of the first glass temperature measurement event (S119), and may be configured to measure the temperature when the second glass temperature measurement event occurs (S121). Depending on the operating conditions, the occurrence cycle of the first glass temperature measurement event may be faster or slower than the occurrence cycle of the second glass temperature measurement event.

[0069] When a temperature is detected in the operating state of the heating wire drive unit (320), the control unit (340) determines whether the detected temperature is in the condensation safety temperature range (condition) (S123), and if it is in the condensation safety temperature range, the heating wire drive unit (320) is terminated to cut off the current supplied to the heating wire (23) (S125).

[0070] After the heating element drive unit (320) is finished, the control unit (340) repeats the process described above until the driving of the camera (200) is finished (S127).

[0071] Meanwhile, it will be readily understood by those skilled in the art that the present invention is not limited to the typical preferred embodiments described above, but can be implemented with various improvements, modifications, substitutions, or additions within the scope of the essence of the invention. If such implementation through improvements, modifications, substitutions, or additions falls within the scope of the appended claims below, the technical concept thereof should also be considered to belong to the present invention.
