Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to an improvement of a medical face covering, and more particularly to an improvement of a dental face covering suitable for use in dental treatment or dental surgery such as implants. Background Technology

[0002] Generally, when performing dental treatment or dental surgery such as implant surgery, the patient's face is covered with a linen cloth with only the oral cavity open to prevent blood or saliva from getting on the patient's face.

[0003] A related prior art is disclosed in the registered patent publication No. 10-2525382 (Title of Invention: Surgical Dough for Preventing Movement, Inventors: Kim Jung-ju et al.), which allows for safe surgery without movement of the sheet by extending a fixing band from a first superabsorbent sheet to the outer side of a second superabsorbent sheet so that it adheres to the patient's body. However, this dough of Kim Jung-ju et al. often causes discomfort to the patient because it prevents smooth breathing through the nose. In particular, when undergoing dental treatment or surgery, it is difficult to breathe through the mouth, so breathing through the nose is necessary; thus, it is even more difficult to use it as a dental face covering.

[0004] In addition, a dental drape for covering a patient's face during dental treatment or dental surgery is disclosed in the published utility model publication No. 20-2009-0000714 (Title of invention: Dental drape with improved functionality, Inventor: Kang Tae-hyun), which has a predetermined thickness, is generally rectangular in shape, has an opening formed in a predetermined area through which the patient's nose and oral cavity can be exposed, and has stitching processing on the outer surface of the opening. However, since Kang Tae-hyun's drape leaves the patient's entire nose exposed to the outside while covering the patient's face, there is a risk that blood or saliva may splash onto the surface of the patient's nose. The problem to be solved

[0005] The objective of the present invention is to provide a dental face covering that allows a patient to breathe smoothly through the nose during dental treatment or implant surgery, while minimizing the splashing of saliva or blood onto the patient's face.

[0019] Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings.

[0020] FIG. 1 is a plan view showing an example of a dental face cover according to the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a half-width broken side view showing the state in which a patient's face is covered with the dental face cover of FIG. 1.

[0021] As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the dental face cover (100) according to the present invention is intended to cover the face (12) of a patient (10) undergoing dental treatment or dental surgery, and comprises a cover body (110) having an opening (112) for oral exposure formed therein. In order to allow a doctor to examine the inside of the patient's (10) oral cavity while performing treatment or surgery during dental treatment or dental surgery, the patient (10) must open their mouth wide, and the cover body (110) must have an opening (112) for oral exposure formed therein so that the doctor can observe the inside of the oral cavity while performing dental treatment or surgery. The opening (112) for oral exposure must be larger than the size of the opened mouth so that the patient's (10) oral cavity can be sufficiently exposed to the outside while the patient's (10) mouth is open.

[0022] The dental face cover (100) according to the present invention has an inhalation air inlet (120) formed above an oral exposure hole (112) to form an air passage (122) through which external air can be introduced into the patient's nose during the patient's (10) inhalation.

[0023] The inhalation air inlet (120) of this embodiment includes an incision (122a) formed by cutting a portion of the dental face cover (100) horizontally so that it can be opened vertically while the patient (10) is lying down. In this case, when the dental face cover (100) according to the present invention is placed over the patient's (10) face (12), the incision (122a) opens vertically and forms an air passage (122) that allows the patient (10) to breathe through the nose, as shown in FIG. 2.

[0024] That is, when using the dental face cover (100) according to the present invention as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, only the front part of the patient's (10) nostrils is opened except for the hole (112) for oral exposure, thereby minimizing the surface area of the face (12) exposed to the outside and allowing the patient (10) to breathe easily through the nose.

[0025] FIG. 3 is a plan view illustrating another example of a dental face cover according to the present invention, and FIG. 4 is a half-width broken side view of a patient's face covered with the dental face cover of FIG. 3.

[0026] In this embodiment, the incision (122a) constituting the inhalation air inlet (120) is the same as that of the previous embodiment. However, the length, width, or shape of the incision (122a) can be varied. A first detachable coupling part (114) may be formed around this incision (122a). In this case, the dental face cover (100) according to the present invention may have a cover (126). The cover (126) has a second detachable coupling part (128) that can be detached from the first detachable coupling part (114). The first detachable coupling part (114) and the second detachable coupling part (128) may be made of male and female Velcro fasteners. Depending on the case, other materials such as snap buttons that are connected or separated from each other may be used instead of Velcro fasteners for the first and second detachable coupling parts (114, 128).

[0027] The cover (126), while connected to the first detachable coupling part (114) through the second detachable coupling part (128), hangs downward by gravity like a curtain as shown in FIG. 4 and serves to cover the incision hole (122a) or air passage (122) for the oral cavity exposure hole (112). At this time, the air passage (122) is formed on each side of the cover (126) that hangs downward.

[0028] That is, when using the dental face cover (100) according to the present invention, the patient (10) is allowed to breathe smoothly through the nose, while preventing the patient's saliva or blood from getting on the patient's (10) face, and in particular, the cover (126) hanging downward blocks the patient's (10) saliva or blood toward the nostrils, thereby preventing the patient's (10) saliva or blood from entering the patient's (10) nostrils through the incision (122a) or air passage (122).

[0029] The cover (126) described above can be separated from the cover body (110), washed and sterilized, and reattached to another cover body (110) for reuse.

[0030] Although FIGS. 3 and 4 illustrate an example where the cover (126) is installed so as to be detachable from the main body (110), the cover (126) does not necessarily have to be installed so as to be detachable from the main body (110), and it is of course possible that it can be integrally joined to the main body (110) through stitching, adhesive, heat fusion, etc., depending on the situation.

[0031] The rest is the same as explained earlier through Figures 1 and 2.

[0032] FIG. 5 is a perspective view showing another example of a dental face cover according to the present invention, FIG. 6 is a rear perspective view of a cover body constituting the dental face cover shown in FIG. 5, and FIG. 7 is a plan view of a plastic molded article constituting the dental face cover shown in FIG. 5.

[0033] Referring to FIGS. 5 to 7, the inhalation air inlet (120) may be configured to include a plastic molded article (127) that forms an air passage (122) while connected to the third detachable coupling part (116) through the fourth detachable coupling part (129), and has a through hole (125) formed above the oral cavity exposure hole (112), a third detachable coupling part (116) formed around the through hole (125), and a third detachable coupling part (129). The plastic molded article (127) is blocked by a curtain part (127a) toward the oral cavity exposure hole (112) and has an air passage (122) formed on both sides of the curtain part (127a).

[0034] The plastic molded product (127) described above can be separated from the cover body (110), washed and sterilized, and reattached to another cover body (110) for reuse.

[0035] The rest is the same as explained earlier.

[0036] Although the plastic molded article (127) can be detachably attached to the cover body (110) as described in FIGS. 5 to 7, the plastic molded article (127) may, depending on the situation, be integrally installed on the cover body (110) using stitching, adhesive, or heat fusion.

[0037] The rest is the same as explained earlier through Figures 3 and 4.

[0038] FIG. 8 is a plan view showing another example of a dental face cover according to the present invention.

[0039] Depending on the situation, a plurality of micro-holes (123) formed in the cover body (110) above the oral exposure hole (112) may form an inhalation air inlet (120).

[0040] The dental face covering (100) shown in FIG. 8 covers the patient's face and has micro-holes (123) positioned on the front of the patient's nostrils, allowing the patient to breathe easily through the nose while preventing or inhibiting the entry of saliva or blood splashing toward the nostrils into the nostrils.

[0041] The rest is the same as explained earlier. Industrial applicability
