[0027] Hereinafter, embodiments according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. This description is not intended to limit the present invention to specific embodiments and should be understood to include all modifications, equivalents, and substitutions that fall within the spirit and scope of the present invention. Similar reference numerals have been used for similar components in describing each drawing, and unless otherwise defined, all terms used in this specification, including technical or scientific terms, have the same meaning as generally understood by a person skilled in the art to which the present invention pertains.

[0028] In this document, when a part is described as "including" a certain component, it means that, unless specifically stated otherwise, it does not exclude other components but may include additional components.

[0030] Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, the door lock device for a laundry dryer according to the present invention comprises a locking device (100) mounted on a laundry dryer (not shown) and a latch (200) mounted on a door (not shown) and locked by engaging with the locking device (100).

[0031] The above locking device (100) transmits power from the motor (110) to the lever tube (130) through the gear reduction device (120), and a cylindrical latch holder (140) is fitted into the lever tube (130). A protrusion (141) protruding from the rear end of the latch holder (140) is caught on a ring (132) formed on the outer surface of the lever tube (130), causing the latch holder (140) to rotate in the direction of rotation of the lever tube (130) by the lever tube (130). A sector gear part (142) is positioned at the front end of the outer surface of the latch holder (140), and a manually operated sub-gear (150) is positioned on the side of the sector gear part (142), and the sector gear part (142) is linked to the sub-gear (150).

[0032] The above latch holder (140) has an arc-shaped catch portion (145) formed to protrude inward at the inner end of the cylindrical portion (147), an entry / exit cut portion (146) formed in part of the catch portion (145), a sector gear portion (142) and a locking portion (143) formed at the outer end of the cylindrical portion (147), the sector gear portion (142) is positioned in part of the outer end of the cylindrical portion (147), and the locking portion (143) is positioned in the remaining part.

[0033] By this, when the latch holder (140) is rotated after the hook portion (205) of the latch (200) is inserted into the interior of the latch holder (140) formed as a cylinder through the entry / exit cut portion (146), the hook portion (250) of the latch (200) is caught on the catch portion (145), thereby locking the latch (200) to the latch holder (140) of the locking device (100).

[0034] Referring to FIG. 4, the catch portion (145) is formed in an arc shape, and the thickness (t) is formed to become thicker from one end (145a) to the other end (145b).

[0035] As a result, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, after the hook portion (250) of the latch (200) is inserted through the entry / exit cut portion (146), the latch holder (140) rotates so that the inner surface of the catch portion (145) is caught on the hook portion (250) of the latch (200). At this time, the thickness (t) of the catch portion (145) is formed to become thicker from one end (145a) to the other end (145b), so that as the latch holder (140) rotates, the hook portion (250) of the latch (200) is pressed against the inner surface of the catch portion (145), thereby preventing movement from occurring while the door of the laundry dryer is closed.

[0036] Referring to FIG. 6, the latch holder (140) has a cylindrical part (147) fitted into a lever tube (130), so that the front end of the lever tube (130) catches on the inner surface of the catch part (145), and the front cover (160) is pressed against the front end of the cylindrical part (147), thereby preventing the cylindrical part (147) from moving in the direction of the arrow (149) in FIG. 6.

[0037] Referring to FIGS. 7 through 11, the sub-gear (150) has a wrench hole (151b) for manual operation formed on the upper surface of the clutch pinion (151), and the second ratchet gear (153c) of the clutch gear (153) is engaged with the first ratchet gear (151c) of the clutch pinion (151) so as to be coupled in only one direction, the clutch gear (153) is elastically supported by a spring (155), the clutch pinion (151) is rotatably positioned on the auxiliary cylindrical part (161) of the front cover (160), a cylindrical housing (182) is positioned on the intermediate partition (180) in alignment with the auxiliary cylindrical part (161) of the front cover (160), the spring (155) and the clutch gear (153) are positioned in the cylindrical housing (182), and on the upper part of the outer surface of the clutch gear (153) A spur gear (153d) is formed, and the spur gear (153d) is coupled with the sector gear (142) of the latch holder (140).

[0038] The above clutch pinion (151) has a wrench hole (151b) formed downward from the upper surface of the cylindrical part (151a), a rim (151d) formed at the lower end of the outer circumference of the cylindrical part (151a), an axle projection (151e) protruding downward from the lower surface of the cylindrical part (151a), and a first ratchet gear (151c) formed on the lower surface of the cylindrical part (151a), the first ratchet gear (151c) is arranged around the axle projection (151d), and the first ratchet gear (151c) includes a vertical part (152a) and an inclined part (152b).

[0039] The above clutch gear (153) has a plurality of ribs (153b) formed in a straight line vertically around the circumference of a cylindrical body (153a) arranged at regular intervals, a spur gear (153d) is formed at the upper end of the cylindrical body (153a) so that the spur gear (153d) is engaged with the sector gear (142) of the latch holder (140), a hollow portion (153e) is formed vertically in the cylindrical body (153a) so that the shaft projection (151d) of the clutch pinion (151) is fitted into the hollow portion (153e), a second ratchet gear (153c) is formed on the upper surface of the cylindrical body portion (153a), and the vertical portion (154a) of the second ratchet gear (153c) engages with the vertical portion (152a) of the first ratchet gear (151c). The lower surface of the cylindrical body (153a) is elastically supported by a spring (155).

[0040] By this, when the clutch pinion (151) is rotated clockwise as in the direction of the arrow (157) in FIG. 2, the vertical portion (152a; see FIG. 10) of the first ratchet gear (151c) engages with the vertical portion (154a) of the second ratchet gear (153c) formed on the clutch gear (153), and the clockwise rotational force of the clutch pinion (151) is transmitted to the clutch gear (153), thereby causing the spur gear (153d) of the clutch gear (153) to be coupled with the sector gear (142) of the latch holder (140).

[0041] And, as indicated by the arrow (158) in Fig. 3, when the clutch pinion (151) is rotated clockwise, the inclined portion (152b; see Fig. 10) of the first ratchet gear (151c) pushes the inclined portion (154b; see Fig. 10) of the second ratchet gear (153c) downward, thereby causing the clutch gear (155), which is elastically supported by the spring (155), to move downward and the clutch pinion (151) to spin freely, thus preventing the sector gear (142) of the latch holder (140) from rotating clockwise by the clutch gear (155).

[0043] In the door lock device for a laundry dryer according to the present invention configured as described above, the power of the motor (110) is transmitted to the lever tube (130) through the gear reduction device (120), causing the lever tube (130) to rotate counterclockwise. During the process of the lever tube (130) rotating counterclockwise, the hook portion (132) of the lever tube (130) pushes the projection portion (141) of the latch holder (140) counterclockwise, causing the cylindrical latch holder (140) to rotate counterclockwise. At this time, as shown in FIG. 2, the hook portion (250) of the latch (200) is caught on the catch portion (145) of the latch holder (140), and the latch (200) is locked to the latch holder (140). Here, when the cylindrical latch holder (140) is rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise by the lever (130), as shown in FIG. 3, the entry / exit cut-out portion (146) of the latch holder (140) is positioned at the bottom, so that the hook portion (205) of the latch (200) can be removed through the entry / exit cut-out portion (146) of the latch holder (140).

[0044] In addition, in the state of FIG. 3, when the cylindrical latch holder (140) is rotated 270 degrees counterclockwise by the lever (130), as shown in FIG. 2, the entry / exit cut-out portion (146) of the latch holder (140) is positioned on the left side, and the hook portion (205) of the latch (200) is caught on the catch portion (145) of the latch holder (140) and locked.

[0045] In the door lock device for a laundry dryer according to the present invention, which operates as described above, when a latch (200) mounted on the door is locked to the latch holder (140) of the locking device (100) mounted on the laundry dryer, if a power outage or the like occurs and the locking of the latch (200) from the latch holder (140) of the locking device (100) needs to be manually released, if the user manually rotates the sub-gear (150) clockwise, the state in Fig. 2 changes to the state in Fig. 3, and the locking of the latch (200) from the latch holder (140) is released. That is, when the user manually rotates the sub-gear (150) 90 degrees clockwise, the sector gear portion (142) of the latch holder (140) is connected to the sub-gear (150), causing the cylindrical latch holder (140) to rotate 90 degrees counterclockwise, and as shown in FIG. 3, the entry / exit cut portion (146) of the latch holder (140) is positioned at the bottom, so that the hook portion (205) of the latch (200) can be removed through the entry / exit cut portion (146) of the latch holder (140).

[0046] At this time, the latch holder (140) rotates relative to the lever tube (130) in a stationary state, thereby preventing the gear reduction device (120) connected to the lever tube (130) from being damaged by force when the user manually operates the sub-gear (150).

[0047] In addition, in the state of Fig. 3, when the user accidentally turns the sub-gear (150) counterclockwise, as described above, the clutch pinion (151) of the sub-gear (150) rotates relative to the clutch gear (155) that is elastically supported by the spring (155), causing the clutch pinion (151) to slip, thereby preventing the user's manual operation force from being transmitted to the gear reduction device (120).

[0049] The components of the door lock device for a laundry dryer according to the present invention as described above will be explained in detail.

[0050] Referring to FIGS. 5 to 8, the door lock device for a laundry dryer according to the present invention has an intermediate partition (180) disposed between a front cover (160) and a case (170), a lever tube (130), a latch holder (140), and a sub-gear (150) disposed on the front side of the intermediate partition (180) are covered by the front cover (160), and a motor (110) and a gear reduction device (120) disposed on the back side of the intermediate partition (180) are covered by the case (170).

[0051] Referring to FIG. 12, the gear reduction device (120) has a lower worm gear of the first gear (G1) coupled to a worm (111) mounted on the drive shaft of the motor (110), an upper gear of the second gear (G2) coupled to the upper gear of the first gear (G1), an upper gear of the third gear (G3) coupled to the lower gear of the second gear (G2), an upper gear of the fourth gear (G4) coupled to the lower gear of the third gear (G3), an upper gear of the fifth gear (G5) coupled to the lower gear of the fourth gear (G4), and a lower spline shaft (121) of the sixth gear (G6) coupled to the lower gear of the fifth gear (G5) in the slotting hole (135) of the lever tube (130), and the second gear (G2), the fourth gear (G4), and the sixth gear are coupled to the first gear shaft (122).
