Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a clothes dryer having a configuration in which a door port is attached to a tubular flange portion of a drum support in a clothes discharge port. Background Technology

[0002] A clothes dryer has a configuration in which a drum support made of sheet metal is installed with a hot air outlet on the inner side of the front plate of a main body on which a clothes outlet is installed, a cylindrical door port made of resin is attached to a cylindrical flange formed in the opening of the drum support, and the door port is attached to the clothes outlet (Japanese Publication No. 2018-7827, FIG. 1). The door port protects the cylindrical flange of the sheet metal drum support from being exposed to the clothes outlet and from direct contact with the hand. The lower part of the door port has a configuration in which a trumpet-shaped section with an enlarged diameter is formed facing the rear side of the drum to make it easier to remove clothes from inside the drum. The problem to be solved

[0003] In the above-described clothes dryer, a clearance is provided between the tubular flange portion of the drum support and the door port to facilitate the attachment and detachment of the door port during installation or maintenance. The flare portion of the door port is formed only within a certain range at the bottom of the door port to facilitate attachment to the drum support. Consequently, as the flare portion of the door port widens into a flare shape, the clearance between the tubular flange portion of the drum support and the door port narrows. There were instances where clothes got caught in the narrowed clearance portion of the flare portion due to the rotation of the drum. In such cases, there was a problem in that hot air was continuously blown locally onto the clothes, or it became difficult to remove the clothes.

[0004] The present invention has been made in consideration of the above circumstances and aims to provide a clothes dryer having a configuration capable of preventing clothes from getting caught in the trumpet portion of the door port. means of solving the problem

[0005] The clothes dryer according to the present invention is,

[0006] In a clothes dryer, wherein a sheet metal drum support is arranged and installed on the inner side of the front plate of a main body having a clothes discharge port, the front opening edge of the drum is rotatably supported and a hot air discharge port is installed thereon, and a resin tubular door port is attached to the clothes discharge port with clearance on the inner side of a tubular flange portion formed in the opening of the drum support.

[0007] The lower part of the above door port forms a trumpet-shaped section with an enlarged diameter facing the rear side of the drum, and

[0008] In the above clearance, an obstruction extending in the direction of the central axis of the door port is arranged and installed near the circumferential end located at the rear side of the drum rotation direction of the above-mentioned trumpet part.

[0009] From the above configuration, the obstruction part makes it difficult for the garment to enter the clearance portion of the bell section as the drum rotates. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the garment from getting caught in the bell section of the door port. Consequently, it is possible to prevent the garment from getting caught in the clearance portion of the bell section, thereby preventing hot air from being continuously blown locally onto the garment or making it difficult to remove the garment.

[0010] The above-mentioned obstruction part can be set to a height extending in the diameter direction of the door port so that the door port can be attached to and detached from the drum support. By doing so, the attachment and detachment of the door port to and from the drum support is not hindered by the obstruction part, and the attachment and detachment of the door port can be performed smoothly during attachment or maintenance. Accordingly, good workability for attaching the door port can be ensured while preventing clothing from getting caught on the bell-shaped part of the door port. Brief explanation of the drawing

Specific details for implementing the invention

[0012] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0013] As shown in FIG. 1, the clothes dryer (1) of the embodiment comprises a rectangular box-shaped main body (10) and a door (13) that freely covers a clothes outlet (12) installed on the front plate (11) of the main body (10). In this specification, the door (13) side is defined as the front of the clothes dryer (1), and the inner length direction of the main body (10) when viewed from the front side of the clothes dryer (1) is defined as the front-back direction, the direction intersecting the front-back direction in the transverse direction is defined as the left-right direction, and the direction perpendicular to the front-back direction and the left-right direction in the height direction is defined as the up-down direction.

[0014] Inside the main body (10), a cylindrical drum (2) that accommodates clothing (M) and has an opening (21) on the front is arranged horizontally. An exhaust port (23) is opened on the rear side (25) of the drum (2), and an exhaust duct (14) communicating with the exhaust port (23) of the drum (2) is installed in the rear part of the main body (10). An air supply port (15) with a filter attached is opened on the bottom plate of the lower side of the main body (10). An air supply / exhaust fan (3) is arranged on the rear side of the drum (2). The air inside the drum (2) is exhausted into the exhaust duct (14) through the exhaust port (23) by the air supply / exhaust fan (3), while air from the air supply port (15) is supplied into the drum (2). The drum (2) and the supply / exhaust fan (3) are each driven by rotation via a conduction belt by a common motor not shown, but they may also be configured to be driven by separate motors. In addition, within the main body (10), a burner (4) serving as a heating means is arranged and installed in the air supply passage from the air supply port (15) to the drum (2). Accordingly, the combustion exhaust gas of the burner (4) is supplied into the drum (2) as hot air along with the air. Furthermore, the heating means is not limited to the burner (4) and may be a heating means such as an electric heater or a heat exchanger for hot water circulation.

[0015] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, a drum support (5) made of sheet metal is arranged on the inner side of the front plate (11) of the main body (10) in which the clothing outlet (12) is installed. The drum support (5) has a circular plate surface (51) with an opening (53) in the center, a short cylindrical drum support (52) protruding forward from the outer edge of the plate surface (51), and a short cylindrical tubular flange (54) protruding forward from the opening (53) of the plate surface (51).

[0016] The drum (2) has a drum shaft (24) fixed to the rear (25) that is rotatably supported by a fixed wall (16) inside the main body (10), and the front opening edge portion (22) is rotatably supported by a drum receiving portion (52) of the drum support (5). On the plate surface portion (51) of the drum support (5), a plurality of hot air outlets (55) communicating with the air supply passage are installed in a certain lower range. Hot air is supplied into the drum (2) from these hot air outlets (55). Thus, the drum support (5) is heated by the hot air. The opening (53) of the drum support (5) has an opening diameter approximately the same as the clothing outlet (12) of the front plate (11) of the main body (10) and is arranged concentrically with the clothing outlet (12).

[0017] A tubular flange portion (54) formed in the opening (53) of the drum support (5) has a tubular door port (6) made of resin attached to its inner side, and the front part of the door port (6) is attached to the clothing outlet (12) of the front plate (11). The door port (6) is installed to protect the tubular flange portion (54) of the sheet metal drum support (5) from being exposed to the clothing outlet (12) and from direct contact with the hand.

[0018] The door port (6) is attached with a clearance (c) to the tubular flange portion (54) of the drum support (5) so that it can be easily attached or detached during attachment or maintenance. Additionally, the lower part of the door port (6) is formed as a trumpet portion (61) with an enlarged diameter facing the rear side (25) of the drum (2) to facilitate the removal of clothing (M) inside the drum (2). This trumpet portion (61) is formed only within a certain range of the lower part to facilitate the attachment of the door port (6) to the drum support (5).

[0019] However, in the trumpet portion (61) of the door port (6), as it widens into a trumpet shape, the clearance (c) between the tubular flange portion (54) of the drum support (5) and the door port (6) is narrowed. Because of this, there were cases where the clothing (M) got caught in the narrowed clearance (c) of the trumpet portion (61) as the drum (2) rotated. In this case, a problem arises in that it is difficult to continuously blow warm air locally onto the clothing (M) or to remove the clothing (M).

[0020] In this embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, a rib (7) that acts as an obstruction is installed in the door port (6) at a circumferential end (61a) located at the rear side of the drum rotation direction (A) in the trumpet portion (61). The rib (7) is installed on the outer surface of the door port (6) so as to extend in the direction of the center axis of the door port (6) at a circumferential front position where the trumpet portion (61) is formed, viewed from the rear side of the drum rotation direction (A). The rib (7) is arranged and installed in the clearance (c) between the tubular flange portion (54) of the drum support (5) and the door port (6). In addition, the location where the rib (7) is installed is not limited to the front circumferential position where the trumpet part (61) is formed, but can be installed near the circumferential end (61a), such as the location of the circumferential end (61a) (rib (7a) in FIG. 5) as shown in FIG. 5, or the circumferential position that is folded toward the trumpet part (61) of the circumferential end (61a) (rib (7b) in FIG. 5). Also, since the rib (7) only needs to be installed near the circumferential end (61a), the width of the rib (7), that is, the width of the drum rotation direction (A) in the rib (7), may be formed as a wide width extending from the circumferential front position to the circumferential position that includes the circumferential end (61a) and extends toward the trumpet part (61a), or the width of the rib (7) may be formed as an appropriate width within the range from the circumferential front position to the circumferential position that extends toward the trumpet part (61a). If the width of the rib (7) is made wide, the strength of the rib (7) is improved.

[0021] From the above configuration, the rib (7) makes it difficult for the clothing (M) to enter the clearance (c) portion of the bell (61) as the drum (2) rotates. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the clothing (M) from getting caught in the bell (61) of the door port (6). Thus, it is possible to prevent the clothing (M) from getting caught in the clearance (c) portion of the bell (61), thereby preventing the hot air blown from the lower hot air outlet (55) of the drum support (5) from being locally blown onto the clothing (M) or making it difficult to remove the clothing (M).

[0022] With reference to FIG. 4, the rib (7) is installed within the range overlapping with the tubular flange portion (54) of the drum support (5) at the rear of the door port (6). The rib (7) is formed to extend forward from a position slightly ahead of the rear end of the door port (6), but it may also be formed to extend forward from the rear end position of the door port (6). The height of the rib (7) is set to a height that matches the dimension distance of the clearance (c) or is slightly lower than that of the door port (6) in the diameter direction. The length of the rib (7) is set to be shorter than the protruding length of the tubular flange portion (54) of the drum support (5), but it may be the same length as the protruding length of the tubular flange portion (54) or less.

[0023] As a result, the attachment and detachment of the door port (6) to the drum support (5) is not hindered by the rib (7), so the attachment and detachment of the door port (6) can be performed smoothly during attachment or maintenance. Therefore, good workability for attaching the door port (6) can be ensured while preventing clothing (M) from getting caught on the bell portion (61) of the door port (6).

[0024] Furthermore, the present invention is not limited to the above embodiments, and various modifications are possible within the scope of the claims.

[0025] For example, the rib (7) serving as the obstruction part may be installed by protruding it onto the inner circumference of the tubular flange part (54) of the drum support (5), rather than the door port (6). The rib (7) (obstruction part) is not limited to being installed integrally with the door port (6) or the drum support (5), but may be installed so as to be detachably attached by various coupling methods.

[0026] In addition, when the drum (2) rotates in both forward and reverse directions, the ribs (7) (obstruction parts) may be installed near the circumferential ends (61a, 61b) on both the left and right sides of the trumpet part (61). Also, even when the drum (2) rotates in only one direction, the ribs (7) (obstruction parts) may be installed near the circumferential ends (61a, 61b) on both the left and right sides of the trumpet part (61).
