[0001] The present invention relates to an emergency release device for a charging connector that can unlock the locked state of an actuator by manual operation by a user in the event that the actuator, which prevents the outlet part from being separated during charging operation, malfunctions and the outlet part is not separated even after charging is completed. Background Technology

[0002] Generally, electric vehicles (EVs) and plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHVs) are equipped with batteries that store power to supply to the vehicle's motor.

[0003] The battery charging system is broadly classified into a portable charging system that charges the vehicle battery using household power, a slow charging system that slow-charges the vehicle battery using a charging stand, and a fast charging system that fast-charges the vehicle battery using an electric vehicle charging station.

[0004] And the battery installed in the vehicle is typically charged using a wired plug-in charging method.

[0005] In addition, users who wish to use the in-vehicle battery charging service must have both cables suitable for each charging system in the vehicle to use each charging system, including the portable charging system and the slow charging system, which have high utilization rates.

[0006] This increases the burden of purchase costs for users, increases the weight of the vehicle as it is constantly mounted on the vehicle while driving, reduces fuel efficiency, and causes inconvenience to users.

[0007] To solve the aforementioned problems, a charging control box detachable charging cable has been developed. The charging control box detachable charging cable according to the prior art includes a vehicle cable having a vehicle terminal at one end connected to either a first connection terminal of a charging control box or an external power source, and an outlet formed at the other end connected to an inlet of a vehicle equipped with a battery to be charged, and a portable cable having a portable terminal at one end connected to an external power source and at the other end connected to a second connection terminal of a charging control box.

[0008] The background technology of the present invention is disclosed in Korean Published Patent Application No. 10-2023-0039373 (published on March 21, 2023, title of invention: charging control box detachable charging cable). The problem to be solved

[0009] The purpose of the present invention is to provide an emergency release device for a charging connector that can be used universally in various vehicle types, by including a main wire connected to a lever member of an actuator provided in an inlet section that maintains the connection state of an outlet section, and a plurality of release wires connected to the main wire and extending into the interior of a vehicle, so that a release wire of an appropriate length among the plurality of release wires can be extended and installed towards the interior of the vehicle according to the door trim structure of various vehicle types. means of solving the problem

[0027] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of an inlet section with an emergency release device for a charging connector installed according to an embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view of an inlet section with an emergency release device for a charging connector installed according to an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 3 is a configuration diagram showing an emergency release device for a charging connector according to an embodiment of the present invention.

[0028] FIG. 4 is a perspective view showing an emergency release device for a charging connector according to one embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 5 is an exploded perspective view of an inlet portion in which an emergency release device for a charging connector according to another embodiment of the present invention is installed, FIG. 6 is an exploded perspective view showing the installation state of a first release tube of an emergency release device for a charging connector according to another embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 7 is an exploded perspective view showing the installation state of a second release tube of an emergency release device for a charging connector according to another embodiment of the present invention.

[0029] Referring to FIGS. 1 to 7, an emergency release device for a charging connector according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a main wire (30) connected to a lever member (14) of an actuator (12) installed in a housing (10) of an inlet part, a release wire (50) which is extended into the interior of a vehicle to transmit tension to the main wire (30) and which has a plurality of different lengths, with one of the two being extended into the interior of the vehicle, and a connecting part (70) which simultaneously connects the main wire (30) and the plurality of release wires (50) to each other.

[0030] Accordingly, in the connection part (70) of the present embodiment, one main wire (30) is connected to one side and a plurality of release wires (50) are connected to the other side, so that tension is transmitted to the main wire (30) when only one of the plurality of release wires (50) is connected, thereby enabling a release operation that pulls the lever member (14).

[0031] The charging connector includes an inlet section installed in a vehicle and an outlet section connected to an electric energy source, and an actuator (12) is installed in the housing (10) of the inlet section to move a restraining member (16) toward the connection hole section into which the outlet section is inserted.

[0032] When the outlet part is inserted into the connection hole and an electrical connection is made between the terminals, an electric energy charging operation is performed. At this time, the restraining member (16) protruding from the actuator (12) restrains the protrusion of the outlet part, thereby preventing the outlet part from being separated from the inlet part during the charging operation. After the charging operation is completed, the restraining member (16) is retracted by the operation of the actuator (12), and the connection between the outlet part and the inlet part is released.

[0033] In the case where the actuator (12) malfunctions and does not operate, the restraint state of the outlet part is not released even after the charging operation is finished. At this time, if the user pulls one of the release wires (50) among the multiple release wires (50), tension is transmitted to the main wire (30) by the connection part (70), and the main wire (30) pulls the lever member (14) of the actuator (12), thereby allowing the restraint state to be released manually.

[0034] In this embodiment, a coupling member (32) connected to a lever member (14) is installed on the main wire (30), and a main tube member (34) surrounding the main wire (30) is installed on the connecting part (70). Therefore, even if the release operation in which the main wire (30) is pulled by the release wire (50) is repeated, the main wire (30) slides along the main tube member (34) and operates, thereby preventing the main wire (30) from rubbing against other adjacent parts.

[0035] A through block (77) is installed at the end of the main pipe member (34) to support the main wire (30) so that it can slide, and the through block (77) is fitted into a groove provided in the housing (10) to prevent the main wire (30) and the main pipe member (34) from moving.

[0036] The release wire (50) includes a first wire (52) that is connected to the main wire (30) and extends into the interior of the vehicle, and a second wire (54) that is connected to the main wire (30), is formed to be longer than the first wire (52), and extends into the interior of the vehicle.

[0037] As described above, since the first wire (52) and the second wire (54) of different lengths are connected to the main wire (30) through the connecting part (70), tension can be provided to the main wire (30) by pulling only one of the first wire (52) and the second wire (54).

[0038] Since the shape of the housing (10) and the shape of the door trim differ depending on the vehicle model in which the emergency release device of the present embodiment is installed, the length of the release wire (50) must also be adjusted to a length compatible with the vehicle model. In this embodiment, since the first wire (52) and the second wire (54) of different lengths are installed simultaneously, the release wire (50) of a length compatible with the structure of the vehicle model can be selected and used.

[0039] Therefore, in this embodiment, in which release wires (50) of different lengths are installed simultaneously, it can be used as a universal release device applicable to various types of vehicles, thus eliminating the need for a separate manufacturing process to produce a separate release device used only for specific vehicle models.

[0040] In addition, in the connecting part (70) of the present embodiment, a first release tube (56) that surrounds the first wire (52) and a second release tube (58) that surrounds the second wire (54) are installed, so that the release wire (50) can be prevented from being deformed or damaged by friction with other parts placed adjacently due to the release operation of pulling the release wire (50).

[0041] The connecting part (70) of the present embodiment includes a case member (72) into which a main wire (30) and a plurality of release wires (50) are inserted, and a connecting ring (78) provided on the main wire (30) and the plurality of release wires (50) to be engaged with each other.

[0042] On one side of the case member (72), a main hole portion (74) is provided in which a main wire (30) and a main pipe member (34) are inserted and fixed, and on the other side of the case member (72), a release hole portion (76) is formed in which a release wire (50) and a release pipe are inserted and fixed, and a through block (77) installed at the end of the main pipe member (34) and the release pipe is installed in the main hole portion (74) and the release hole portion (76).

[0043] The case member (72) is provided with a partition member (75) that supports the main wire (30) and the release wire (50), and the partition member (75) is provided with a main hole portion (74) and a release hole portion (76), and a through block (77) through which the main wire (30) or the release wire (50) can slide through is installed in the main hole portion (74) and the release hole portion (76).

[0044] In this embodiment, a cylindrical member (59) is installed at the ends of the first wire (52) and the second wire (54) so that the first wire (52) or the second wire (54) can be slidably inserted, and an operating member (59a) is installed at the end of the cylindrical member (59) to be connected to the first wire (52) or the second wire (54) and operated to provide tension.

[0045] Additionally, the present embodiment further includes a separation discharge unit (80) that separates and discharges a release wire (50) that is not extended into the interior of a vehicle among a plurality of release wires (50) from a connection unit (70).

[0046] Accordingly, when one of the first wire (52) and the second wire (54) is selected as a release wire (50) of a suitable length, the remaining release wire (50) is separated and discharged to the outside of the release device by the separation discharge unit (80).

[0047] The separation discharge unit (80) includes a door member (82) that is openable and closable on the case member (72), and a hook part (84) that is bent into a hook shape and detachably hooked so as to have an opening on one side of a plurality of connecting rings (78).

[0048] Accordingly, when one of the first wire (52) and the second wire (54) release wire (50) is selected and extended to the interior side of the vehicle, the other release wire (50) is discharged to the outside through the separate discharge unit (80).

[0049] In this embodiment, the hook portion (84) is a hook with one side open, so the door member (82) provided on the case member (72) is opened to select and leave the release wire (50) among the plurality of release wires (50), and after releasing the connection state of the hook portions (84) that are interlocked with each other, the release wire (50) can be easily separated from the connection portion (70).

[0050] The connecting ring (78) of the present embodiment includes a first ring (78a) provided on the first wire (52), a second ring (78b) provided on the second wire (54), and a third ring (78c) connected to the main wire (30), and the first ring (78a) to the third ring (78c) are connected to each other in a way that allows them to be detachably connected.

[0051] When a relatively long second wire (54) is selected and extended into the vehicle interior, a fixing member (57) that restrains the second wire (54) and the second release tube (58) is installed on the second release tube (58), and the fixing member (57) is inserted into the fixing hole of the housing (10) by means of a hook formed at the bottom.

[0052] Thus, by including a main wire connected to a lever member of an actuator that is provided in the inlet section and maintains the connection state of the outlet section, and a plurality of release wires connected to the main wire and extending into the interior of the vehicle, a release wire of an appropriate length among the plurality of release wires can be extended and installed towards the interior of the vehicle according to the door trim structure of various vehicle types, thereby providing an emergency release device for a charging connector that can be used universally in various vehicle types.

[0053] Although the present invention has been described with reference to an embodiment illustrated in the drawings, this is merely illustrative, and those skilled in the art will understand that various modifications and equivalent alternative embodiments are possible therefrom.

[0054] In addition, although an emergency release device for a charging connector has been described as an example, this is merely illustrative, and the release device of the present invention may be used in products other than emergency release devices for charging connectors.

[0055] Therefore, the true technical scope of protection of the present invention should be determined by the following patent claims. Explanation of the symbols
