Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a vehicle heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system control display device, and more specifically, to a vehicle heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system control display device that can control the vehicle's HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) without the physical key button previously used, thereby making installation or maintenance of the device more convenient than before, and can improve aesthetic appeal compared to before by enabling the implementation of a compact device while reducing space, thus significantly enhancing the value of the vehicle's interior design compared to before. Background Technology

[0002] FIG. 1 is a front view of a vehicle heating and cooling air conditioning system control display device according to the prior art, and FIG. 2 is a schematic structural diagram of the display device of FIG. 1.

[0003] Referring to these drawings, a conventional automobile is equipped with a vehicle heating and cooling air conditioning system control display device (1) for controlling the vehicle heating and cooling air conditioning system called HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning), as illustrated.

[0004] For reference, HVAC, that is, vehicle heating and cooling system (HVAC), refers to a series of technologies used for heating, ventilation, and cooling, that is, integrating these to provide comfort in the vehicle's interior environment, and the HVAC control display device (1) is a means for controlling these technologies.

[0005] The HVAC control display device (1) includes a display (10) that displays temperature, airflow volume, airflow direction, etc., and a plurality of physical key buttons (20, 30) that operate functions.

[0040] In order to fully understand the present invention, the operational advantages of the present invention, and the objectives achieved by the implementation of the present invention, reference must be made to the accompanying drawings illustrating preferred embodiments of the present invention and the contents described therein.

[0041] The present invention will be described in detail below by explaining preferred embodiments of the invention with reference to the accompanying drawings. Identical reference numerals in each drawing indicate identical components.

[0042] FIG. 3 is a front view of a vehicle heating and cooling air conditioning system control display device according to a first embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 4 is a usage state diagram of FIG. 3, FIG. 5 is a perspective view of FIG. 3, FIG. 6 is an exploded perspective view of FIG. 5, FIG. 7 is an enlarged perspective view of a display module, and FIG. 8 is a control block diagram of the vehicle heating and cooling air conditioning system control display device of FIG. 3.

[0043] Referring to these drawings, the vehicle heating, cooling, and air conditioning system control display device (100) according to the present embodiment can control the vehicle's HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) without the physical key button (see FIG. 1) that was previously applied, so the installation or maintenance of the device can be made more convenient than before, and as it is possible to implement a compact device while reducing space, the aesthetic appeal can be enhanced compared to before, thereby significantly improving the value of the vehicle's interior design compared to before.

[0044] A vehicle heating and cooling air conditioning system control display device (100) according to the present embodiment capable of providing such effects may include a display module (110), a touch sensor (120), a cover glass (130), and a color diffuser (150).

[0045] The display module (110) is a means for displaying information for controlling a vehicle heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system installed in a vehicle.

[0046] In order to be connected to various modules and devices, including a vehicle heating, cooling, and air conditioning (HVAC) system, a display module (110) is equipped with multiple FPCBs (115, FLEXIBLE PCB), which are wiring boards using flexible insulating substrates. The functions and roles of the multiple FPCBs (115) are different from each other.

[0047] A touch sensor (120) is a means for transmitting a predetermined touch input signal to a display module (110) according to a touch operation as shown in FIG. 4 for driving a vehicle heating and cooling air conditioning system (HVAC).

[0048] In this embodiment, the touch sensor (120) forms a layer on one side of the display module (110) so as to be integrally formed with the display module (110) as shown in FIGS. 6 and 7. That is, when manufacturing the display module (110), the touch sensor (120) can be manufactured to be integrally formed in a layer form on one side thereof.

[0049] As such, in the case of the present embodiment, since the touch sensor (120) forms a part of the display module (110), that is, the display module (110) is an on-cell display module (110, Oncell display module) in which the touch sensor (120) is integrally formed on one side.

[0050] In particular, the on-cell display module (110) applied in this embodiment is a color segment on-cell LCD (110, Color Segment Oncell LCD) capable of color implementation and applicable as a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD).

[0051] As in the present embodiment, when the display module (110) is integrated with the touch sensor (120) in a layer form and is applied as a color segment on-cell LCD (110) capable of color implementation and applicable as a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), there is an advantage that the installation, assembly, or maintenance of the device becomes very convenient. That is, as shown in FIG. 6, the vehicle heating and cooling air conditioning system control display device (100) according to the present embodiment can be assembled and produced with only the color segment on-cell LCD (110), cover glass (130), and color diffuser (150), and since it can be easily applied to a vehicle, there is an advantage that the installation, assembly, or maintenance of the device becomes significantly more convenient than conventional methods.

[0052] The cover glass (130) is a structure that is positioned and assembled on one side of the color segment-on-cell LCD (110) such that a touch sensor (120) on the color segment-on-cell LCD (110), that is, a touch sensor (120) integrated in the form of a layer, is positioned between them. When viewed from the outside, only the cover glass (130) is visible.

[0053] A menu pattern (131) for transmitting a touch input signal is formed on this cover glass (130). The menu pattern (131) may be displayed only when the device is touched or a certain signal is input, as in FIG. 3 to FIG. 4. Of course, it is also acceptable for the menu pattern (131) to be displayed at all times.

[0054] Also, the shape and content of the menu pattern (131) can vary as much as possible, deviating from that shown in FIG. 4. Therefore, the scope of the present invention is not limited to the shape of the drawing.

[0055] A plurality of through holes (132) are formed in the cover glass (130). The plurality of through holes (132) are arranged on both sides of the menu pattern (131) on the cover glass (130). These through holes (132) can form a place where various switches, knobs, buttons, etc. of the vehicle are installed.

[0056] An optical adhesive material (140) is used for assembling and bonding the color segment-on-cell LCD (110) and the cover glass (130).

[0057] The optical adhesive material (140) is placed between the color segment-on-cell LCD (110) and the cover glass (130) and is a means for bonding the color segment-on-cell LCD (110) and the cover glass (130). In this embodiment, the optical adhesive material (140) is applied as an OCA (Optically Clear Adhesive).

[0058] Further explanation of the optical adhesive material (140) is provided.

[0059] Light has the property of refracting or reflecting when it encounters layers of different materials. In a display device (100), reflection and refraction phenomena occur when light encounters air (such as an air gap within the product) or glass (window), and this can cause a decrease in the visibility of the display.

[0060] To minimize these problems, the display device (100) according to the present embodiment is filled with a material having optical properties similar to those before and after passing through the air gap, namely an optical adhesive material (140).

[0061] In addition, since the optical adhesive material (140) is used in a display device (100) that expresses color and brightness, high transparency is required to minimize changes in light. Furthermore, the transparency at the time of adhesion must be maintained so that it does not change over time.

[0062] There are various components in optical adhesive materials (140). The optical adhesive materials (140) mainly used are acrylic-based, silicone-based, and urethane-based components. Among these, acrylic-based adhesive materials are the most widely used because they have good transparency and can be cured quickly through UV.

[0063] Also, optical adhesive materials (140) can be classified according to their shape. A film shape, such as a fixed double-sided tape, is called OCA (Optically Clear Adhesive), and an amorphous liquid shape is called OCR (Optically Clear Resin).

[0064] Generally, OCA has the advantage of excellent workability and even adhesion to surfaces due to its shape, while liquid OCR is effective in removing fine air pockets from parts. Accordingly, OCA is applied in this embodiment.

[0065] A color diffuser (150) is positioned on the opposite side of the cover glass (130) with the color segment-on-cell LCD (110) in between, and serves to diffuse the color formed on the color segment-on-cell LCD (110).

[0066] Meanwhile, the vehicle heating and cooling air conditioning system control display device (100) according to the present embodiment is further equipped with a device controller (190) for controlling the device.

[0067] The device controller (190) controls the transmission of an input signal to a color segment-on-cell LCD (110) in which a touch sensor (120) is integrally formed when a menu pattern (131) on the cover glass (130) is touched. The device controller (190) performing this role may include a central processing unit (191, CPU), a memory (192, MEMORY), and a support circuit (193, SUPPORT CIRCUIT).

[0068] The central processing unit (191) may be one of various computer processors that can be industrially applied to control the transmission of an input signal to a color segment-on-cell LCD (110) in which a touch sensor (120) is integrally formed when a menu pattern (131) on the cover glass (130) is touched in this embodiment.

[0069] The memory (192, MEMORY) is connected to the central processing unit (191). The memory (192) may be installed locally or remotely as a computer-readable recording medium and may be at least one memory that is readily available, such as random access memory (RAM), ROM, a floppy disk, a hard disk, or any digital storage format.

[0070] A support circuit (193) is coupled with a central processing unit (191) to support typical operation of the processor. This support circuit (193) may include a cache, power supply, clock circuit, input / output circuit, subsystem, etc.

[0071] In this embodiment, the device controller (190) controls the transmission of an input signal to a color segment-on-cell LCD (110) in which a touch sensor (120) is integrally formed when a menu pattern (131) on the cover glass (130) is touched, and such a series of control processes can be stored in memory (192). Typically, a software routine can be stored in memory (192). The software routine can also be stored or executed by another central processing unit (not shown).

[0072] Although the process according to the present invention has been described as being executed by software routines, at least some of the processes of the present invention may also be performed by hardware. As such, the processes of the present invention may be implemented by software executed on a computer system, by hardware such as an integrated circuit, or by a combination of software and hardware.

[0073] According to the present embodiment, which operates with the structure described above, the vehicle's HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) can be controlled without the previously applied physical key button (see FIG. 1), so installation or maintenance of the device can be made more convenient than before, and as it is possible to implement a compact device while reducing space, the aesthetic appeal can be enhanced compared to before, thereby significantly improving the value of the vehicle's interior compared to before.

[0074] FIG. 9 is a front view of a vehicle heating and cooling air conditioning system control display device according to a second embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 10 is an exploded perspective view of FIG. 9, and FIG. 11 is a control block diagram of the vehicle heating and cooling air conditioning system control display device of FIG. 9.

[0075] Referring to these drawings, the vehicle heating and cooling air conditioning system control display device (200) according to the present embodiment may include a display module (210), a touch sensor module (220), a cover glass (230), and a color diffuser (250).

[0076] A display module (210) is a means for displaying information for controlling a vehicle heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system installed in a vehicle. In order to be connected to various modules and devices, including the vehicle heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system, the display module (210) is equipped with an FPCB (215, FLEXIBLE PCB), that is, a wiring board using a flexible insulating substrate.

[0077] The touch sensor module (220) plays the role of transmitting a predetermined touch input signal according to a touch operation, such as that shown in FIG. 4, to the display module (210) for driving the vehicle heating and cooling air conditioning system (HVAC).

[0078] In particular, in this embodiment, the touch sensor module (220) is a component provided separately from the display module (210). The touch sensor module (220) is also provided with an FPCB (225), which is a wiring board using a flexible insulating substrate. The touch sensor module (220) may be in the form of a film or in the form of glass.

[0079] As such, the vehicle heating and cooling air conditioning system control display device (200) according to the present embodiment is applied as separate individual components, with the touch sensor module (220) and the touch sensor module (220) being separated. Accordingly, a first optical adhesive material (241) is used to assemble and bond them. The first optical adhesive material (241) is applied as the OCA (Optically Clear Adhesive) introduced in the above-described embodiment.

[0080] In this embodiment, the display module (210) is a color segment LCD (210, Color Segment LCD) capable of color implementation and applicable as a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD).

[0081] The cover glass (230) is a structure assembled on the opposite side of the color segment LCD (210) with the touch sensor module (220) in between. Only the cover glass (230) is visible from the outside.

[0082] A menu pattern (231) for transmitting a touch input signal is formed on the cover glass (230). Additionally, a plurality of through holes (232) are formed on the cover glass (230). The plurality of through holes (232) are arranged on both sides of the menu pattern (231) on the cover glass (230).

[0083] A second optical adhesive material (242) is used for assembly and bonding of the touch sensor module (220) and the cover glass (230). The second optical adhesive material (242) is applied as an OCA (Optically Clear Adhesive), just like the first optical adhesive material (241).

[0084] A color diffuser (250) is positioned on the opposite side of the cover glass (230) with the touch sensor module (220) and the color segment LCD (210) in between, and serves to diffuse the color formed on the color segment LCD (210).

[0085] Meanwhile, the vehicle heating and cooling air conditioning system control display device (200) according to the present embodiment is also equipped with a device controller (290) for controlling the device.

[0086] The device controller (290) controls the transmission of an input signal to the color segment LCD (210) through the touch sensor module (220) when the menu pattern (231) on the cover glass (230) is touched. The device controller (290) performing this role may include a central processing unit (291, CPU), a memory (292, MEMORY), and a support circuit (293, SUPPORT CIRCUIT).

[0087] The central processing unit (291) in this embodiment may be one of various computer processors that can be industrially applied to control the transmission of an input signal to a color segment LCD (210) through a touch sensor module (220) when a menu pattern (231) on the cover glass (230) is touched.

[0088] The memory (292, MEMORY) is connected to the central processing unit (291). The memory (292) may be installed locally or remotely as a computer-readable recording medium and may be at least one memory that is readily available, such as random access memory (RAM), ROM, a floppy disk, a hard disk, or any digital storage form.

[0089] A support circuit (293) is coupled with a central processing unit (291) to support typical operation of the processor. This support circuit (293) may include a cache, power supply, clock circuit, input / output circuit, subsystem, etc.

[0090] In this embodiment, the device controller (290) controls the transmission of an input signal to the color segment LCD (210) through the touch sensor module (220) when the menu pattern (231) on the cover glass (230) is touched, and such a series of control processes can be stored in memory (292). Typically, a software routine can be stored in memory (292). The software routine can also be stored or executed by another central processing unit (not shown).

[0091] Although the process according to the present invention has been described as being executed by software routines, at least some of the processes of the present invention may also be performed by hardware. As such, the processes of the present invention may be implemented by software executed on a computer system, by hardware such as an integrated circuit, or by a combination of software and hardware.

[0092] Even when this embodiment is applied, the vehicle's HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) can be controlled without the previously applied physical key button (see FIG. 1), so the installation or maintenance of the device can be made more convenient than before, and as it is possible to implement a compact device while reducing space, the aesthetic appeal can be enhanced compared to before, thereby significantly improving the value of the vehicle's interior compared to before.

[0093] FIG. 12 is a front view of a vehicle heating and cooling air conditioning system control display device according to a third embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 13 is a rear view of FIG. 12, FIG. 14 is a perspective view of FIG. 12, FIG. 15 is an exploded perspective view of FIG. 14, FIG. 16 is a rear perspective view of FIG. 15, and FIG. 17 is a control block diagram of the vehicle heating and cooling air conditioning system control display device of FIG. 12.

[0094] Referring to these drawings, the vehicle heating and cooling air conditioning system control display device (300) according to the embodiment includes a TFT LCD module (310, module) and an OGS (One Glass Solution) touch display (330). The present embodiment differs in that the TFT LCD module (310) is applied.

[0095] These TFT LCD modules (310) are a series of electronic components that display information for controlling a vehicle heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system installed in a vehicle.

[0096] The OGS touch display (330) is positioned on one side of the TFT LCD module (310) and assembled with the TFT LCD module (310), and is a means for transmitting a predetermined touch input signal according to a touch operation to the TFT LCD module (310) for driving the vehicle heating and cooling air conditioning system (HVAC).

[0097] For reference, OGS (One Glass Solution) refers to a form in which a touch sensor is integrated into tempered glass in the form of a single touch panel, with improved durability compared to conventional displays and a thin and lightweight process. An advantage is that the overall thickness of the touch module can be reduced, enabling the production of thinner and lighter mobile devices.

[0098] A plurality of through holes (332) are formed in the OGS touch display (330). As previously mentioned, the through holes (332) can form a place where various switches, knobs, buttons, etc. of the vehicle are installed.

[0099] An optical adhesive material (340) is used for assembling and attaching the TFT LCD module (310) and the OGS touch display (330).

[0100] The optical adhesive material (340) is placed between the TFT LCD module (310) and the OGS touch display (330) and serves as a means to bond the TFT LCD module (310) and the OGS touch display (330). In this embodiment as well, the optical adhesive material is applied as OCA (Optically Clear Adhesive).

[0101] Meanwhile, the vehicle heating and cooling air conditioning system control display device (300) according to the present embodiment is also equipped with a device controller (390) for controlling the device.

[0102] The device controller (390) is connected to the TFT LCD module (310) and the OGS touch display (330) and controls the TFT LCD module (310) and the OGS touch display (330) through an organic mechanism. The device controller (390) performing this role may include a central processing unit (391, CPU), memory (392, MEMORY), and a support circuit (393, SUPPORT CIRCUIT).

[0103] The central processing unit (391) in this embodiment may be one of various computer processors that can be industrially applied to control the TFT LCD module (310) and the OGS touch display (330) through an organic mechanism.
