Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a water seal system, and more specifically, to a safety water seal system capable of preventing the leakage of harmful gases. Background Technology

[0002] Electricity used by the steel mill is generated through byproduct gas power generation, utilizing byproduct gases produced during the iron production process. This byproduct gas power generation increases the proportion of self-generated power and reduces reliance on imported electricity. Byproduct gas is delivered through gas piping to burners located inside the power generation boilers used for this process. The byproduct gas water seal valve is a system designed to block the flow of gas by forming the gas pipe into a "V" shape and filling that section with purified water to maintain a complete airtight seal when blocking the gas pipeline is necessary.

[0003] As illustrated in FIG. 1, a conventional water seal system (10) has a "V" shaped fuel gas pipe (11) arranged, a gas inlet section (11a) arranged at one end, and a gas outlet section (11b) arranged at the other end. A water purification pipe (12) is arranged at the bottom to allow water to flow in, and the water flowing in is supplied to the fuel gas pipe (11) through a first water purification valve (V1), a bypass valve (V2), and a second water purification valve (V3).

[0004] Then, a water purification drain pipe (13) through which purified water is drained is connected to the bottom of the fuel gas pipe (11), and a first drain valve (V4) and a second drain valve (V5) are installed in the water purification drain pipe (13). A condensate storage tank (16) may be installed at the bottom of this water purification drain pipe (13). And a water purification overflow drain pipe (14) may be installed in the condensate storage tank (16).

[0005] A water purification overflow pipe (15) is connected to the top of the fuel gas pipe (11), and an overflow valve (V6) is installed in the water purification overflow pipe (15). A water storage tank (17) is installed to store wastewater discharged from the water purification overflow drain pipe (14) and the water purification overflow pipe (15).

[0006] At this time, in order to perform the water sealing operation on the gas pipeline, the worker must manually operate the overflow valve (V6) located at a high place, so there is a risk of falling, and also, if harmful gas leaks, there is a dangerous problem of poisoning caused by the harmful gas.

[0007] Furthermore, there is a problem where integer overflow may occur, and the sealing time is delayed, leading to a decrease in the efficiency of on-site work. Prior art literature

[0023] Embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings. The embodiments introduced below are provided as examples to ensure that the concept of the present invention is sufficiently conveyed to those skilled in the art to which the present invention pertains. The present invention is not limited to the embodiments described below and may be embodied in other forms. To clearly explain the present invention, parts unrelated to the description have been omitted from the drawings, and in the drawings, the width, length, thickness, etc., of components may be exaggerated for convenience. Throughout the specification, the same reference numerals indicate the same components.

[0024] A water seal system (100) according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 2 to 6. A water seal system (100) according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a fuel gas pipe (110), a water purification pipe (120), a water purification drain pipe (130), a water purification overflow drain pipe (140), a water purification overflow pipe (150), a water purification connection pipe (160), a condensate storage tank (170), and water purification storage water. This water seal system (100) is a system for blocking the flow of fuel gas flowing through the fuel gas pipe (110) by means of a water seal.

[0025] Fuel gas piping (110) is formed such that fuel gas is introduced through a gas inlet (112), has a shape in which a portion is bent downward, and is discharged through a gas outlet (114) via a "U" or "V" shape. This fuel gas is a byproduct gas generated during the process of producing iron in a steel mill and contains carbon monoxide (CO) gas.

[0026] The water purification pipe (120) is connected to the fuel gas pipe (110) to supply water so that water can be filled into a "V" shape to block the gas flow of the fuel gas pipe (110) by a water seal.

[0027] A bypass pipe (122) is provided in the water purification pipe (120), and the bypass pipe (122) is provided to prevent the water seal from being released when a small amount of purified water is supplied to the fuel gas pipe (110). A first water purification valve (V1) and a second water purification valve (V3) are installed in the water purification pipe (120) to control the purified water supplied to the fuel gas pipe (110) so that a water seal can be formed, and a bypass valve (V2) is also installed in the bypass pipe (122).

[0028] The first water purification valve (V1) is used to control the supply of purified water, and the second water purification valve (V3) can be used to close when the supply of purified water needs to be stopped because the water purification pipe (120) is damaged or requires repair. The bypass valve (V2) can be used to supply a small amount of purified water to the fuel gas pipe (110) to prevent the water seal from being released.

[0029] The water purification drain pipe (130) is a pipe through which purified water is drained from the fuel gas pipe (110) to release the water seal. A first drain valve (V4) and a second drain valve (V5) are installed in the water purification drain pipe (130) to control the drainage of purified water through the water purification drain pipe (130).

[0030] The lower end of the water overflow drain pipe (140) is positioned in the condensate storage (170), and the water overflowing from the condensate storage (170) is discharged. A leak-prevention valve (V7) is positioned in this water overflow drain pipe (140). The leak-prevention valve (V7) can prevent water from leaking through the water overflow drain pipe (140). The water drained through the water overflow drain pipe (140) can be transferred to the water storage (180).

[0031] One end of the water purification overflow pipe (150) is connected to the top of the fuel gas pipe (110), and the other end is connected to the water purification storage (180). Through this water purification overflow pipe (150), water overflowing from the fuel gas pipe (110) can be transferred to the water purification storage (180). An overflow valve (V6) may be installed in this water purification overflow pipe (150).

[0032] The overflow valve (V6) can be positioned at the top of the fuel gas piping (110) and, in this embodiment, can be maintained in an open state. That is, the overflow valve (V6) is maintained in an open state during the water sealing process and the water seal release process, so that the operator does not need to open or close the overflow valve (V6). Therefore, the overflow valve (V6) can be omitted as needed, and there is no need to operate it further if the overflow valve (V6) is already installed.

[0033] The water purification overflow pipe (150) may have a pipe top section (152) positioned on the upper side of the fuel gas pipe (110). The pipe top section (152) is located at the top of the water purification overflow pipe (150), and a predetermined scattering hole (154) may be formed at a location adjacent to the pipe top section (152). The scattering hole (154) is formed on the side of the water purification overflow pipe (150), and carbon monoxide (CO), which is a byproduct gas dissolved in the water filling the fuel gas pipe (110), can be discharged. As the scattering hole (154) is formed on the side of the water purification overflow pipe (150) in this way, rainwater can be prevented from flowing into the water purification overflow pipe (150), while the byproduct gas can be discharged to the outside.

[0034] As described above, as byproduct gas is discharged through the scatter hole (154), the byproduct gas may not be discharged to the surroundings of the condensate storage tank (170) where the worker is located, so the worker may not be exposed to the byproduct gas.

[0035] Additionally, a pipe end portion (156) is positioned at the end of the water purification overflow pipe (150), and the pipe end portion (156) can be formed so that its diameter decreases toward the end. As the pipe end portion (156) is formed so that its diameter decreases, it is possible to prevent the purified water discharged through the water purification overflow pipe (150) from splashing and scattering to the surroundings. Therefore, the purified water is not scattered to the surroundings, such as soil, by the pipe end portion (156) of the water purification overflow pipe (150), and can be discharged to the outside through the purified water storage tank (180).

[0036] The water purification connection pipe (160) connects the water purification overflow drain pipe (140) and the water purification overflow pipe (150). To this end, one end of the water purification connection pipe (160) may be connected to the water purification overflow drain pipe (140), and the other end may be connected to the water purification overflow pipe (150). The water purification connection pipe (160) can allow the water overflowing from the condensate storage tank (170) to be transferred from the water purification overflow drain pipe (140) to the water purification overflow pipe (150) when the water seal is completed. In this way, by connecting the water purification connection pipe (160) to the water purification overflow drain pipe (140) and the water purification overflow pipe (150), the overflow valve (V6) can be kept open without being closed when the water seal is released.

[0037] A condensate storage tank (170) is connected to a water purification drain pipe (130) and a water purification overflow drain pipe (140) and is positioned to temporarily store condensate discharged from a fuel gas pipe (110). When the water seal is released, the purified water stored in the condensate storage tank (170) can be transferred to a water purification overflow pipe (150) via the water purification overflow drain pipe (140) and a water purification connection pipe (160) and transferred to a water purification storage tank.

[0038] The purified water storage tank stores purified water that overflows from the fuel gas pipe (110) or purified water discharged from the condensate storage tank when the water seal is released, and stores purified water to be transferred to a wastewater treatment plant. A purified water container (182) may be placed in this purified water storage tank.

[0039] A water purification container (182) is placed to receive water discharged and falling from the water purification overflow pipe (150), and to check the received water to determine whether the water sealing is complete.

[0040] With reference to FIGS. 3 and 4, the state in which a water seal is applied to the fuel gas pipe (110) is described. When a water seal is applied to the fuel gas pipe (110) and the fuel gas pipe (110) is filled with water, the first water seal valve (V1) and the leak prevention valve (V7) are closed, and the bypass valve (V2), the second water seal valve (V3), the first drain valve (V4), the second drain valve (V5), and the overflow valve (V6) remain open.

[0041] At this time, the water may be filled up to a certain height in the fuel gas pipe (110), and the water purification pipe (120), bypass pipe (122), water purification drain pipe (130), water purification overflow drain pipe (140), water purification overflow pipe (150), and water purification connection pipe (160).

[0042] When water sealing is to be performed, as shown in FIG. 4, the leak prevention valve (V7) is closed to prevent water from draining (①). Then, the first water purification valve (V1) is opened so that water is supplied to the fuel gas pipe (110) through the water purification pipe (120) (②). When water is supplied to the fuel gas pipe (110), the water overflows from the fuel gas pipe (110) to the water purification overflow pipe (150), so it is confirmed that water is discharged from the pipe end (156) of the water purification overflow pipe (150) (③).

[0043] Then, the bypass pipe (122) is partially opened (④) so that a small amount of purified water is supplied to the fuel gas pipe (110) through the purified water pipe (120). When the bypass pipe (122) is partially opened in this way, the first purified water valve (V1) is closed (⑤) so that the purified water from the fuel gas pipe (110) does not overflow and be transferred to another location beyond the bent shape.

[0044] Meanwhile, with reference to FIGS. 5 and 6, the state in which the water seal of the fuel gas pipe (110) is released is described. When the water seal of the fuel gas pipe (110) is released, the first water purification valve (V1) and the bypass valve (V2) are closed, and the second water purification valve (V3), the first drain valve (V4), the second drain valve (V5), the overflow valve (V6), and the leak prevention valve (V7) remain open.

[0045] At this time, the water may be filled in the water purification pipe (120) at the top of the first water purification valve (V1) and bypass valve (V2), and in the water purification drain pipe (130), water purification overflow drain pipe (140), water purification overflow pipe (150), and water purification connection pipe (160).

[0046] When releasing the water seal, as shown in FIG. 6, the leak prevention valve (V7) is opened to check that the purified water overflows in the fuel gas pipe (110) (①). When it is confirmed that the purified water does not overflow through the leak prevention valve (V7), the bypass valve (V2) is closed (②). As the bypass valve (V2) is closed, the purified water may no longer be supplied to the fuel gas pipe (110) through the purified water pipe (120).

[0047] As described above, as the bypass valve (V2) is closed, the purified water of the fuel gas piping (110) is drained through the purified water drain pipe (130) and can be drained to the purified water storage tank (180) through the condensate storage tank (170), the purified water overflow drain pipe (140), the purified water connection pipe (160), and the purified water overflow pipe (150).
