Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a sink roll preheating device, and more specifically, to a sink roll preheating device capable of preventing deformation or damage of a sink roll by preheating a sink roll placed in a plating bath for a molten plating process. Background Technology

[0002] Recently, the demand for hot-dip galvanized steel sheets has been rapidly increasing as the rust prevention warranty period for automobiles, home appliances, etc., increases. Accordingly, the quality requirements for hot-dip galvanized steel sheets are becoming very stringent, and in particular, alloyed hot-dip galvanized steel sheets for automobiles have very strict surface management standards.

[0003] Generally, hot-dip galvanized steel sheets are manufactured by sequentially undergoing a pretreatment process to remove foreign substances from the surface of the steel sheet, such as strips; a heat treatment process to secure strength through the recrystallization and microstructure control of the strips; a hot-dip galvanizing process involving immersion in a hot-dip galvanizing bath and alloying heat treatment; and a post-treatment process to perform a post-treatment coating to prevent corrosion of the plating layer.

[0004] At this time, in the molten plating process, the strip transported by transport equipment such as a transport roll is immersed in the molten plating bath, thereby adhering the plating solution to the surface of the strip, and the transport direction is changed by a sink roll positioned inside the molten plating bath to be transported to a subsequent process.

[0005] These sink rolls are operated with a portion submerged in the molten plating solution contained within the molten plating bath at a certain level. When installing the sink rolls inside the bath or replacing them for maintenance, there is a risk of thermal deformation due to the large temperature difference; the sink rolls are at a relatively low temperature close to room temperature, whereas the molten plating solution is at a very high temperature. Furthermore, the relatively low-temperature air inside the sink rolls can be rapidly heated by the molten plating solution and ejected to the outside accompanied by a loud explosion. At this time, the high-temperature molten plating solution may scatter, posing a risk of safety accidents.

[0006] Therefore, when installing or replacing sink rolls, a measure is required to prevent thermal deformation or damage caused by the temperature difference with the molten plating solution while also preventing the risk of safety accidents in advance. Prior art literature

FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing a sink roll preheating device according to the present embodiment. FIG. 3 is an enlarged perspective view showing the preheating section of the sink roll preheating device according to the present embodiment. FIGS. 4 and FIGS. 5 are perspective views showing the operating state of the sink roll preheating device according to the present embodiment. Specific details for implementing the invention

[0033] Embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. The following embodiments are presented to sufficiently convey the concept of the present invention to those skilled in the art to which the present invention pertains, and are not limited to those presented herein and may be embodied in other forms. In order to clarify the present invention, the drawings may omit the illustration of parts unrelated to the description and may slightly exaggerate the size of components to aid understanding.

[0034] FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing the state in which a strip (S) is transported by a sink roll (10), and is a reference drawing to help understand the present invention.

[0035] Referring to FIG. 1, in a general molten plating process, a strip (S) transported by a transport facility (not shown) is immersed in a plating bath (not shown), thereby adhering a plating solution to the surface of the strip (S). The plating bath contains a molten plating solution at a certain level, and a sink roll (10) is arranged inside the plating bath, which is operated with at least a portion of it submerged in the molten plating solution. The strip (S) is transported downward from outside the plating bath, such as a heating furnace (not shown) for heat treatment, toward the sink roll (10) placed inside the plating bath, and after being immersed in the molten plating solution, its transport direction is changed upward by the sink roll (10) and it is transported to a cooling facility or a post-treatment coating facility. In this way, as the strip (S) is immersed in the molten plating solution by the sink roll (10), the transport direction of the strip (S) is changed so that it can be delivered to a subsequent process.

[0036] These sink rolls (10) are operated with a portion submerged in the molten plating solution. Since the molten plating solution has a very high temperature, while the surface temperature of the sink roll (10) is close to room temperature, there is a large temperature difference between the molten plating solution and the surface of the sink roll (10). For example, molten zinc is operated at a high temperature of about 460°C, so there is a significant temperature difference with the surface temperature of the sink roll (10), which corresponds to room temperature. Due to this temperature difference, there is a risk that thermal deformation of the sink roll (10) may occur when the sink roll (10) is installed inside the plating bath or replaced for maintenance. In addition, air with a temperature corresponding to room temperature inside the sink roll (10) may be rapidly heated by the molten plating solution and discharged to the outside accompanied by a loud noise. At this time, the high-temperature molten plating solution may scatter, posing a risk of safety accidents such as fire or burns.

[0037] Accordingly, the sink roll preheating device (1000) according to the present embodiment is provided to prevent thermal deformation or damage caused by a temperature difference with the molten plating solution when installing or replacing the sink roll (10), and at the same time, to prevent the risk of safety accidents.

[0038] FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing a sink roll preheating device (1000) according to the present embodiment.

[0039] Referring to FIG. 2, the sink roll preheating device (1000) according to the present embodiment includes a preheating unit (1100) that is configured to allow the sink roll (10) to enter inwardly and preheats the sink roll (10), and a transfer unit (1200) that supports the preheating unit (1100) and moves it toward the sink roll (10).

[0040] The preheating unit (1100) is provided to reduce the temperature difference with the molten plating solution by preheating the sink roll (10) while covering the outside of the sink roll (10) and transferring heat to the sink roll (10) before installation or replacement of the sink roll (10).

[0041] FIG. 3 is an enlarged perspective view showing a preheating section (1100) of a sink roll preheating device (1000) according to the present embodiment. Referring to FIG. 2 and FIG. 3, the preheating section (1100) may include a main body (1110) that forms a body and is provided to accommodate a sink roll (10) inside, a cover (1120) that opens and closes an opening (1112) provided in the main body (1110), an induction heater (1130) provided inside the main body (1110) to heat the sink roll (10), and an opening / closing unit that operates the cover (1120).

[0042] The main body (1110) forms the body of the preheating unit (1100) and may be provided with a heating space (1111) to accommodate a sink roll (10) inside. The main body (1110) may be provided in a cylindrical shape that extends along the axial direction of the sink roll (10) so that the sink roll (10) can be stably accommodated in the heating space (1111), and an opening (1112) may be provided on the front side (left side in Fig. 2) of the main body (1110) to allow the sink roll (10) to enter the heating space (1111).

[0043] The opening (1112) can be opened and closed by a cover (1120). The cover (1120) may include a first cover (1121) provided on one side of the opening (1112) and a second cover (1122) provided on the other side of the opening (1112), and the first and second covers (1121, 1122) can be opened or closed by being hinge-connected to the main body (1110) so as to be rotatable. The first and second covers (1121, 1122) can be opened and closed by an opening and closing unit described later, and at least one of the first cover (1121) and the second cover (1122) may be provided with at least one recessed groove (1123) formed so that a support member (20) supporting the rotation axis (11) of the sink roll (10) can enter. When the opening (1112) is closed by the first and second covers (1121, 1122) for the sink roll (10) preheating process, the support member (20) supporting the sink roll (10) enters and settles into the recessed groove (1123) provided in the cover (1120), thereby ensuring airtightness of the heating space (1111) and allowing the heating process to be performed quickly and efficiently. Meanwhile, in FIG. 3, a pair of inlet grooves (1123) are shown at the end of the second cover (1122), but this is merely an example and is not limited to that location. Depending on the need, the inlet grooves (1123) may be provided in the first cover (1121) or in both the first cover (1121) and the second cover (1122).

[0044] An induction heater (1130) for heating a sink roll (10) that has been received and entered into the heating space (1111) may be provided on the inner side of the main body (1110), that is, in the periphery of the heating space (1111). The induction heater (1130) can heat the sink roll (10) that has entered the heating space (1111) by an induction heating method, and a plurality of them may be arranged in the periphery of the heating space (1111) so as to heat the surface of the sink roll (10) quickly and smoothly. The operation of the plurality of induction heaters (1130) may be controlled by a control unit (not shown), and the control unit may individually control the operation of each induction heater (1130) as needed. In this way, by heating the sink roll (10) by an induction heating method, damage to the surface of the sink roll (10) can be prevented compared to a method of heating the surface of the sink roll (10) using a gas burner, and safety accidents such as fire can be prevented in advance.

[0045] The opening / closing unit can open and close the opening (1112) by operating the first cover (1121) and the second cover (1122). The opening / closing unit may include a first drive motor (1140) installed on the first cover (1121), a first winding reel (1141) provided on the drive shaft of the first drive motor (1140), a first wire (1142) connecting the first winding reel (1141) and the second cover (1122), a second drive motor (1145) installed on the second cover (1122), a second winding reel (1146) provided on the drive shaft of the second drive motor (1145), and a second wire (1147) connecting the second winding reel (1146) and the first cover (1121).

[0046] A first drive motor (1140) may be installed and supported on the outer surface of a first cover (1121), and a first winding reel (1141) may be provided on its drive shaft so that the first winding reel (1141) can rotate according to the operation of the first drive motor (1140). One end of a first wire (1142) may be fixed or connected to the first winding reel (1141), and the other end of the first wire (1142) may be connected to a second cover (1122), and the first wire (1142) may be extended along a direction in which the first cover (1121) and the second cover (1122) are spaced apart from each other or a direction in which the opening (1112) is opened. The other end of the first wire (1142) may be fixed or connected to a first fastening projection (1144) formed protruding from the outer surface of the second cover (1122), and the first wire (1142) may be supported by a plurality of first guide projections (1143) formed protruding from the outer surface of the first cover (1121). The plurality of first guide projections (1143) may support the first wire (1142) in a direction parallel to the direction of operation of the first cover (1121) so as to guide the winding operation of the first wire (1142).

[0047] Additionally, the second drive motor (1145) may be installed and supported on the outer surface of the second cover (1122), and a second winding reel (1146) may be provided on its drive shaft so that the second winding reel (1146) can rotate according to the operation of the second drive motor (1145). One end of the second wire (1147) may be fixed or connected to the second winding reel (1146), and the other end of the second wire (1147) may be connected to the first cover (1121), and the second wire (1147) may be extended along the direction in which the second cover (1122) and the first cover (1121) approach each other or the direction in which the opening (1112) is closed. The other end of the second wire (1147) may be fixed or connected to a second fastening projection (1149) formed protruding from the outer surface of the first cover (1121), and the second wire (1147) may be supported by a plurality of second guide projections (1148) formed protruding from the outer surface of the second cover (1122). The plurality of second guide projections (1148) may support the second wire (1147) in a direction parallel to the direction of operation of the second cover (1122) so as to guide the winding operation of the second wire (1147).

[0048] To explain the operation of the first and second covers (1121, 1122) by the opening / closing unit, when the control unit intends to perform a preheating process of the sink roll (10), it operates the first drive motor (1140) to rotate the drive shaft and the first winding reel (1141) provided therein in one direction (clockwise according to FIG. 3). As the first winding reel (1141) rotates in one direction, the first wire (1142) is wound onto the first winding reel (1141), and accordingly, the second cover (1122) connected to the other end of the first wire (1142) operates in a direction that opens the opening (1112) (clockwise according to FIG. 3), and as a reaction force to this, the first cover (1121) on which the first drive motor (1140) is installed also operates in a direction that opens the opening (1112) (counterclockwise according to FIG. 3). At the same time, the control unit operates the second drive motor (1145) to rotate the drive shaft and the second winding reel (1146) provided thereon in the other direction (counterclockwise with respect to FIG. 3). As the second winding reel (1146) rotates in the other direction, the second wire (1147) wound on the second winding reel (1146) becomes unwound, and accordingly, the first cover (1121) connected to the other end of the second wire (1147) can be allowed to rotate in the opening direction (counterclockwise with respect to FIG. 3). This allows the opening (1112) of the main body (1110) to be opened and allows the sink roll (10) to enter the heating space (1111).

[0049] The transfer unit (1200), described later, is operated by the control unit to move the preheating unit (1100) toward the sink roll (10), and the sink roll (10) enters the interior of the heating space (1111). Afterwards, the control unit operates the second drive motor (1145) to rotate the drive shaft and the second winding reel (1146) provided thereon in one direction (clockwise according to FIG. 3). As the second winding reel (1146) rotates in one direction, the second wire (1147) is wound onto the second winding reel (1146). Accordingly, the first cover (1121) attached to the other end of the second wire (1147) operates in a direction that closes the opening (1112) (clockwise according to FIG. 3), and as a reaction force to this, the second cover (1122), on which the second drive motor (1145) is installed, also operates in a direction that closes the opening (1112) (counterclockwise according to FIG. 3). At the same time, the control unit operates the first drive motor (1140) to rotate the drive shaft and the first winding reel (1141) provided thereon in the other direction (counterclockwise according to FIG. 3). As the first winding reel (1141) rotates in the opposite direction, the first wire (1142) wound on the first winding reel (1141) becomes unwound, and accordingly, the second cover (1122) connected to the other end of the first wire (1142) can be allowed to rotate in the closing direction (counterclockwise direction according to FIG. 3). At this time, the support member (20) supporting the rotation axis (11) of the sink roll (10) enters and is seated inside the inlet groove (1123) provided in the second cover (1122), thereby allowing the operation of the first cover (1121) and the second cover (1122) for closing the opening (1112) to be carried out smoothly. Thus, the opening (1112) of the main body (1110) can be closed, and thereafter, the control unit can operate the induction heater (1130) to perform a preheating process of the sink roll (10) that has entered and been received in the heating space (1111).

[0050] The transfer unit (1200) supports the preheating unit (1100) and is configured to move it toward the sink roll (10) or to move it away from the sink roll (10).

[0051] Referring to FIG. 2, the transfer unit (1200) may be provided to include a first moving unit (1210) that moves the preheating unit (1100) in a first horizontal direction perpendicular to the direction of the rotation axis (11) of the sink roll (10), a second moving unit (1220) that moves the preheating unit (1100) in a second horizontal direction parallel to the direction of the rotation axis (11) of the sink roll (10), a docking unit (1230) that moves the preheating unit (1100) toward and away from the sink roll (10) so that the sink roll (10) is seated and separated in the heating space (1111), and a tilting unit (1240) that adjusts the approach and separation angle of the docking unit (1230).

[0052] The first moving unit (1210) is provided to move the preheating unit (1100) in a first horizontal direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the sink roll (10). To this end, the first moving unit (1210) may include a first guide rail (1211) formed to extend along the first horizontal direction, a first guide frame (1212) provided to be movable along the first guide rail (1211), a first plate (1213) fixedly installed on the first guide frame (1212) and moving together with the first guide frame (1212), and a first extendable moving part (1214) that moves the first plate (1213) by expanding and contracting in a direction parallel to the first horizontal direction.

A protruding member may be provided on the first guide rail (1211) to extend along the longitudinal direction or the first horizontal direction, and a guide groove formed as a recess to allow the protruding member to be inserted may be provided on the first guide frame (1212). The first plate (1213) is fixedly installed on a pair of first guide frames (1212) and can be moved together with the first guide frames (1212), and a second moving unit (1220), which will be described later, can be installed and supported on the upper surface of the first plate (1213).

[0054] One end of the first expansion member (1214) may be fixed to a supportable fixture such as a workshop or surrounding equipment, and the other end may be fixed to the bottom surface of the first plate (1213), and the first plate (1213) may be moved along the first horizontal direction by expanding and contracting in a direction parallel to the first horizontal direction. The first expansion member (1214) may be composed of a hydraulic cylinder that expands and contracts by hydraulic pressure. Thus, when hydraulic pressure is transmitted to the hydraulic cylinder, the first expansion member (1214) expands to bring the first plate (1213) and the preheating unit (1100) supported thereon closer to the sink roll (10), and conversely, when hydraulic pressure is discharged from the hydraulic cylinder, the first expansion member (1214) contracts to separate the first plate (1213) and the preheating unit (1100) supported thereon from the sink roll (10).

[0055] The second moving unit (1220) is installed on the first plate (1213) of the first moving unit (1210) and is configured to move the preheating unit (1100) in a second horizontal direction parallel to the axial direction of the sink roll (10). To this end, the second moving unit (1220) may include a second guide rail (1221) installed on the upper surface of the first plate (1213) and extending along the second horizontal direction, a second guide frame (1222) configured to be movable along the second guide rail (1221), a second plate (1223) fixedly installed on the second guide frame (1222) and moving together with the second guide frame (1222), and a second expansion / contraction unit (1224) that moves the second plate (1223) by expanding and contracting in a direction parallel to the second horizontal direction.

[0056] A second guide rail (1221) may be formed to extend along the second horizontal direction, and a pair may be provided to facilitate stable movement of the preheating unit (1100). Additionally, a pair of second guide frames (1222) may be provided to enable movement along the second guide rail (1221) in correspondence with the arrangement of a pair of second guide rails (1221). A protruding member may be provided on the second guide rail (1221) to extend along the longitudinal direction or the second horizontal direction, and a guide groove formed as a recess to allow the protruding member to be inserted may be provided on the second guide frame (1222). The second plate (1223) is fixedly installed on a pair of second guide frames (1222) and can be moved together with the second guide frames (1222), and a docking unit (1230) and a tilting unit (1240), which will be described later, can be installed and supported on the upper surface of the second plate (1223).

[0057] One end of the second extension member (1224) may be fixed to a supportable fixture such as the first plate (1213), and the other end may be fixed to the bottom surface of the second plate (1223), and the second plate (1223) may be moved along the second horizontal direction by expanding and contracting in a direction parallel to the second horizontal direction. The second extension member (1224) may be composed of a hydraulic cylinder that expands and contracts by hydraulic pressure. Thus, when hydraulic pressure is transmitted to the hydraulic cylinder, the second expansion member (1224) expands to move the second plate (1223) and the preheating member (1100) supported thereon to one side so as to face the position of the sink roll (10), and conversely, when hydraulic pressure is discharged from the hydraulic cylinder, the second expansion member (1224) contracts to move the second plate (1223) and the preheating member (1100) supported thereon to the other side so as to face the position of the sink roll (10).

[0058] A docking unit (1230) is installed on the second plate (1223) of the second moving unit (1220) so that the preheating unit (1100) can be brought closer to and separated from the sink roll (10) so that the sink roll (10) is seated and separated in the heating space (1111) of the main body (1110). To this end, the docking unit (1230) may include a first support frame (1231) fixed to the main body (1110), a second support frame (1232) which is provided so that at least a portion of it can be inserted into the inside of the first support frame (1231) and is rotatably supported on the second plate (1223), and a third expansion and contraction unit (1233) which expands and contracts according to relative movement between the first and second support frames (1231, 1232).

[0059] One end of the first support frame (1231) may be fixed to the rear side of the main body (1110) and may be formed to extend in an inclined direction, and the other end may be connected to the second support frame (1232). The first support frame (1231) may be provided in a hollow shape with an empty interior so that one end of the second support frame (1232) can be inserted into it. One end of the second support frame (1232) may be provided to be retractable into the interior of the first support frame (1231), and the other end may be connected to the rotation frame (1241) of the tilting unit (1240) described later so as to be freely rotatable. The second support frame (1232) may be drawn into the inner side of the first support frame (1231) according to the contraction operation of the third expansion member (1233), thereby reducing the length of the first and second support frames (1231, 1232), or may be protruded outwardly from the first support frame (1231) according to the expansion operation of the third expansion member (1233), thereby expanding the length of the first and second support frames (1231, 1232).

[0060] The third expansion member (1233) can have one end fixed to the first support frame (1231) and the other end fixed to the second support frame (1232), and by expanding and contracting in a direction parallel to the longitudinal direction of the first and second support frames (1231, 1232), it can move the preheating member (1100) supported on the first support frame (1231) closer to and away from the sink roll (10). The third expansion member (1233) can be made of a hydraulic cylinder that expands and contracts by hydraulic pressure. Thus, when hydraulic pressure is transmitted to the hydraulic cylinder, the third expansion member (1233) expands, thereby extending the length of the first support frame (1231) and the second support frame (1232), allowing the sink roll (10) to enter the heating space (1111) of the preheating unit (1100) supported by the first support frame (1231). Conversely, when hydraulic pressure is discharged from the hydraulic cylinder, the third expansion member (1233) contracts, thereby reducing the length of the first support frame (1231) and the second support frame (1232), allowing the sink roll (10) to be separated from the heating space (1111) of the preheating unit (1100) supported by the first support frame (1231).

[0061] The tilting unit (1240) is installed on the second plate (1223) of the second moving unit (1220) to adjust the approach and separation angles of the docking unit (1230). The tilting unit (1240) may include a rotating frame (1241) that rotatably supports the other end of the second support frame (1232) of the docking unit (1230) on the second plate (1223), a fourth extension member (1242) that rotates the docking unit (1230), and a bearing (1243) interposed between the rotating frame (1241) and the second support frame (1232).

[0062] One end of the rotating frame (1241) is fixed to the upper surface of the second plate (1223), and the other end of the second support frame (1232) of the docking unit (1230) can be rotatably connected to the other end via a bearing (1243). The rotating frame (1241) is formed to extend upward from the upper surface of the second plate (1223), and can be provided in various shapes and structures as long as it can rotatably support the other end of the second support frame (1232). By providing the bearing (1243) between the other end of the second support frame (1232) and the rotating frame (1241), wear on the component elements can be reduced and operating noise suppressed despite repeated rotation of the second support frame (1232).

[0063] The fourth extension member (1242) can have one end fixed to the second plate (1223) and the other end fixed to the lower surface of the second support frame (1232), and can adjust the placement angle of the docking unit (1230) equipped with the second support frame (1232) by operating to expand and contract along the vertical direction. The fourth extension member (1242) may be made of a hydraulic cylinder that operates to expand and contract by hydraulic pressure. Thus, when hydraulic pressure is transmitted to the hydraulic cylinder, the fourth expansion joint (1242) expands, and the positioning angle of the docking unit (1230) equipped with the second support frame (1232) can be increased. Conversely, when hydraulic pressure is discharged from the hydraulic cylinder, the fourth expansion joint (1242) contracts, and the positioning angle of the docking unit (1230) equipped with the second support frame (1232) decreases, thereby allowing the sink roll (10) to smoothly enter and separate into the heating space (1111) of the preheating unit (1100).

[0064] The operation of the sink roll preheating device (1000) according to the present embodiment is described below.

[0065] FIGS. 4 and 5 are perspective views showing the operating state of a sink roll preheating device (1000) according to the present embodiment. Referring to FIGS. 4 and 5, when the control unit intends to perform a preheating process of the sink roll (10), it operates the first drive motor (1140) of the opening / closing unit in one direction to rotate the first winding reel (1141) in one direction, and at the same time, operates the second drive motor (1145) in the other direction to rotate the second winding reel (1146) in the other direction. Through this. The first wire (1142) is wound onto the first winding reel (1141), and the second wire (1147) is released from the second winding reel (1146), thereby allowing the first and second covers (1121, 1122) of the preheating unit (1100) to be opened and preparing for the entry of the sink roll (10) into the heating space (1111) of the main body (1110). (See FIG. 4)

[0066] Subsequently, the control unit operates the transfer unit (1200) to move the preheating unit (1100) toward the sink roll (10). Specifically, the control unit can extend the first extension unit (1214) of the first moving unit (1210) to move the first plate (1213) toward the sink roll (10) along the first horizontal direction, and operate the second extension unit (1224) of the second moving unit (1220) to adjust the position of the preheating unit (1100) toward the sink roll (10) along the second horizontal direction. After that, the control unit can expand the third extension member (1233) of the docking unit (1230) to expand the first and second support frames (1231, 1232), thereby bringing the main body (1110) of the preheating unit (1100) closer to the sink roll (10) side and enabling the sink roll (10) to enter the heating space (1111). At the same time, the control unit can operate the fourth extension member (1242) of the tilting unit (1240) to adjust the approach angle of the preheating unit (1100), thereby enabling the sink roll (10) to enter the heating space (1111) more quickly and smoothly. After the preheating unit (1100) is moved toward the sink roll (10) by the transfer unit (1200) and the sink roll (10) enters the heating space (1111) of the preheating unit (1100), the control unit operates the second drive motor (1145) in the other direction to rotate the first winding reel (1141) in the other direction, and at the same time, operates the second drive motor (1145) in one direction to rotate the second winding reel (1146) in one direction. Through this, The first wire (1142) is detached from the first winding reel (1141), and the second wire (1147) is wound onto the second winding reel (1146), so that the first and second covers (1121, 1122) of the main body (1110) close, thereby sealing the heating space (1111), and the control unit can operate the induction heater (1130) to perform a preheating process of the sink roll (10) that has entered and been accommodated in the heating space (1111). (See FIG. 5)
