Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a heating and cooling system and a heating and cooling control method, and more particularly to a heating and cooling system and a heating and cooling control method in which a refrigerant-type indoor unit is used in the summer and a refrigerant-water heat exchanger is added in the winter to enable heating using hot water in a water-air system. Background Technology

[0003] Generally, an air conditioning system is a system that maintains a comfortable indoor space by cooling or heating the air in an indoor space, such as an office or a house. It is structured such that a compressor, a condenser, an expansion valve, and an evaporator are connected in sequence by ducts. High-temperature, high-pressure refrigerant gas compressed in the compressor is condensed in the condenser, and the heat of condensation is exchanged with a fluid to generate hot water or heat the indoor air to perform heating. The high-temperature, high-pressure refrigerant liquid condensed in the condenser is expanded in the expansion valve to become low-temperature, low-pressure refrigerant liquid, which then flows into the evaporator body and evaporates by a heat source to become low-temperature, low-pressure refrigerant gas. The low-temperature, low-pressure refrigerant gas evaporated in the evaporator body is then sucked into the compressor, repeating this cycle.

[0004] When operating this air conditioning system in cooling mode, heat is released from the outside through an evaporator installed outside after passing through a compressor, and the indoor heat is absorbed and vaporized in a condenser installed indoors after passing through an expansion valve, thereby cooling the indoors. In addition, when operating in heating mode, the refrigerant evaporated in the evaporator installed outside is compressed through a compressor, and the compressed high-temperature, high-pressure refrigerant is condensed in a condenser installed indoors, releasing heat into the indoors to provide heating.

[0005] In other words, when the air conditioning system is operated for heating, it serves to heat the indoor space using heat generated from the condenser or to produce hot water by heating the thermal storage tank. Therefore, there is a problem in that it is difficult to perform both boiler and heating / cooling functions simultaneously. In addition, typically, two or more heat pumps must be provided to perform both heating / cooling and thermal storage functions simultaneously; however, driving two heat pumps results in complex connecting piping and reduced thermal efficiency.

[0006] Recently, as energy depletion and environmental pollution caused by the excessive use of fossil fuels such as coal and oil, as well as the safety of nuclear power generation that has been replacing these fossil fuels, have become global issues, efforts to increase the use of new and renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and geothermal energy are continuing as a solution.

[0007] In particular, in the heating and cooling sector, geothermal heating and cooling systems account for a significant share among these new and renewable energies. Specifically, since geothermal heat pump systems allow for heating and cooling operation according to the season, their adoption is gradually expanding in general households and public facilities.

[0008] The aforementioned geothermal heating and cooling system (or geothermal heat pump system) utilizes heat sources stored underground, offering excellent eco-friendliness, economic efficiency, and convenience. Furthermore, due to the nature of geothermal energy, which maintains a stable temperature regardless of seasonal changes, it has the advantage of enabling stable operation of the heat pump system.

[0009] Meanwhile, geothermal air conditioning systems are currently applied only to small-scale facilities such as offices or greenhouses, and have not yet been applied to collective residential facilities such as apartments or officetels.

[0011] An example of such technology is disclosed in the following patent documents 1 to 3, etc.

[0012] For example, Patent Document 1 below discloses a heating and cooling system for a collective housing facility using geothermal energy, comprising a geothermal heat exchanger that absorbs geothermal energy or releases heat into the ground, a plurality of air handling units that are provided for each household of the collective housing facility and are each placed in each household to control the indoor temperature of each household, and a heat pump unit that is connected by piping to the geothermal heat exchanger and the plurality of air handling units and transfers a high-temperature heat source to a low temperature or transfers a low-temperature heat source to a high temperature.

[0013] In addition, Patent Document 2 below discloses a dual-type heat pump system comprising an indoor unit mounted in a first room, a first heat exchanger, a second heat exchanger, a compressor, a four-way valve, and an expansion valve, wherein a refrigerant circulates through the indoor unit, the first heat exchanger, the second heat exchanger, the compressor, the four-way valve, and the expansion valve; a first circulation line piped to connect each first heat exchanger of the heat pump in parallel and to allow a first heat transfer medium to circulate through the first heat exchanger to a second room and a hot water tank; and a second circulation line piped to connect each second heat exchanger of the heat pump in parallel and to allow a second heat transfer medium to circulate through a geothermal heat exchanger buried underground and the second heat exchangers, wherein the first room is cooled or heated by the indoor unit according to the circulation direction of the refrigerant, and a second branch pipe branched from the second circulation line is connected to the first circulation line so that the second heat transfer medium circulates to the second room. there is.

[0014] Meanwhile, the following patent document 3 discloses a residential geothermal heat pump comprising a heat pump unit connected to be heat-exchanged with at least one underground heat exchanger, a cooling and heating unit connected to be heat-exchanged with the heat pump unit, and a geothermal storage unit connected between the heat pump unit and the cooling and heating unit to stratify and store energy generated from the heat pump unit, wherein the geothermal storage unit comprises a storage tank that stores energy while circulating water circulating between the heat pump unit and the cooling and heating unit passes through it, and an instantaneous hot water pipe connected through the interior of the storage tank to be heat-exchanged with the circulating water contained in the storage tank and supplied to a water supply fixture of the house. [0046] Hereinafter, an embodiment according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

[0047] FIG. 1 is a block diagram of a heating and cooling system according to the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a drawing showing an example of applying the heating and cooling system shown in FIG. 1.

[0048] As illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2, the heating and cooling system according to the present invention comprises a first heat exchange module (100) that exchanges heat using a first heat source and generates a second heat source, a second heat exchange module (200) that exchanges heat using the second heat source and generates a third heat source and a fourth heat source, a water-refrigerant heat exchange module (300) that exchanges heat using the fourth heat source and generates a fifth heat source, and a control module (400) that controls the operation of the first heat exchange module (100), the second heat exchange module (200), and the water-refrigerant heat exchange module (300). The first heat source may be any one of geothermal heat, hydrothermal heat, and / or waste heat. Meanwhile, FIG. 2 shows an example in which a first geothermal source supply module (10) is applied as the first heat source, but is not limited thereto.

[0049] Additionally, the first geothermal source supply module (10) generating the first heat source may be provided in a vertical closed type and / or well-hole type, and, for example, as shown in FIG. 2, may be installed underground to acquire the first heat source and supply it to the first heat exchange module (100). To this end, the first geothermal source supply module (10) may be composed of a casing inserted and installed only on the inner surface of the upper part of the well (11), a return pipe installed inside the well and spaced apart from the bottom of the well, a filler material that surrounds the return pipe and fills the inside of the well up to a certain height from the bottom of the well, and a deep well pump (12) installed at a certain distance above the filler material to supply the groundwater of the first heat source collected inside the well (11) to the first heat exchange module (100).

[0050] The above-mentioned well (11) is prepared by excavating the surface of the ground at a depth underground, and can be formed by excavating vertically from the surface along the underground bedrock layer so that groundwater can flow into it through the aquifer. The diameter of the above-mentioned well (11) is selected based on various conditions such as the amount of water collected and the depth of the aquifer, and the depth can be determined based on underground geological data of the borehole or information on wells already installed in the same aquifer. For example, the above-mentioned well (11) can be excavated to a depth of about 400m or more underground so that the temperature of the groundwater (first heat) can always be maintained within a constant temperature range (temperature of the first heat source).

[0051] The above deep well pump (12) may be provided at the top of the well (11) and may be provided to supply groundwater flowing into the interior of the well (11) to the first heat exchange module (100).

[0052] The groundwater of the first heat source supplied by the deep well pump (12) is circulated and heat-exchanged in the first heat exchange module (100) as shown in FIG. 2, so the first heat exchange module (100) can generate a second heat source using the first heat source.

[0053] The first heat exchange module (100) may include a first heat exchanger (110) and a geothermal circulation pump (120), as shown in FIG. 2.

[0054] The first heat exchanger (110) may be a water-to-water heat exchanger, but is not limited thereto, and may be provided as a heat pump including, for example, an evaporator, a condenser, a compressor, an expansion valve, and a four-way valve (65).

[0055] The above geothermal circulation pump (120) may be provided to circulate a second heat source, which has been heat-exchanged in the first heat exchanger (110), to a second heat exchange module (200). That is, as shown in FIG. 2, the geothermal circulation pump (120) is provided to circulate a second heat source between the first heat exchanger (110) and the second heat exchange module (200), and the pumping capacity of the geothermal circulation pump (120) may be set in correspondence with the number of second heat exchange modules (200) installed in each collective residential facility such as an apartment or officetel.

[0056] As described above, when the second heat exchange module (200) operates in cooling mode during the summer, the groundwater, which is the first heat source, is heat-exchanged to the second heat source by the first heat exchange module (100) and can be used as cooling water to improve the cooling operation efficiency of the second heat exchange module (200). Additionally, when the second heat exchange module (200) operates in heating mode during the winter, the groundwater, which is the first heat source, is heat-exchanged to the second heat source by the first heat exchange module (100) and can be used as heating water to improve the heating operation efficiency of the second heat exchange module (200).

[0057] The above second heat exchange module (200) can be used for a geothermal heat pump and, like a conventional heat pump, includes an evaporator, a compressor, a condenser, and an expansion valve, and may additionally include a four-way valve, a controller, a temperature sensor, a manual valve, etc., depending on the case.

[0058] When the second heat exchange module (200) is in cooling operation, the refrigerant through the evaporator absorbs the second heat source to generate a third heat source and can be transferred to the indoor unit (220) through the three-way valve (210). When the heating operation is in operation, the refrigerant through the condenser absorbs the second heat source to generate a fourth heat source and can be transferred to the indoor unit (220) through the three-way valve (210) as shown in FIG. 3. FIG. 3 is a block diagram showing the connection relationship between the second heat exchange module and the water refrigerant heat exchange module shown in FIG. 1. The three-way valve (210) can be controlled by the control module (400).

[0059] The above third and fourth heat sources can function as heat sources for both cooling and heating for the indoor unit (220). Additionally, the indoor unit (220) may be a cooling-only air conditioner or a cooling-and-heating air conditioner installed indoors.

[0060] That is, when the second heat exchange module (200) starts operation, the second heat source generated in the first heat exchange module (100) is supplied to the second heat exchange module (200) by the geothermal circulation pump (120) under the control of the control module (400), and the second heat source can flow into the evaporator to exchange heat with the refrigerant. That is, the refrigerant flowing into the evaporator receives heat from the second heat source, evaporates to release a third heat source for cooling, and then flows into the compressor, and the second heat source can flow back into the first heat exchange module (100) after releasing heat to the refrigerant.

[0061] Additionally, the refrigerant evaporated in the evaporator flows into the compressor to become high-temperature, high-pressure gaseous refrigerant and is discharged. The discharged refrigerant flows into the condenser, and the refrigerant flowing into the condenser releases a fourth heat source for heating, condenses, and can flow back into the evaporator through the expansion valve. The fourth heat source can be generated by the refrigerant in the condenser of the second heat exchange module (200).

[0062] The above water refrigerant heat exchange module (300) may include a water refrigerant heat exchanger (310), a water circulation pump (320), and an expansion tank (330), as shown in FIG. 3.

[0063] The above water refrigerant heat exchanger (310), like the above second heat exchange module (200), includes an evaporator, a compressor, a condenser, and an expansion valve, and further includes a four-way valve, a controller, a temperature sensor, a manual valve, etc., and can generate a fifth heat source by heat-exchanging a fourth heat source. In addition, the fifth heat source may be generated by a refrigerant provided in the water refrigerant heat exchanger (310).

[0064] Meanwhile, a water supply pipe for supplying tap water may be provided in the water refrigerant heat exchanger (310). Water supplied from the water supply pipe may be heat-exchanged by the fifth heat source and supplied to the water circulation pump (320).

[0065] The above water circulation pump (320) and expansion tank (330) may be connected to the hot water supply pipe (340) and circulation pipe (350) for supplying hot water and heating the indoor floor during winter. That is, the above water circulation pump (320) may be provided for the circulation pipe (350) for floor heating, and the expansion tank (330) may be provided to prevent damage to the pipe by appropriately adjusting the volume of water that expands and contracts as the water temperature changes in the hot water pipe for supplying heating and hot water.

[0066] Also, in FIG. 3, a state in which a water circulation pump (320) and an expansion tank (330) are connected in series to a water refrigerant heat exchanger (310) is shown, but it is not limited thereto and can be provided in a state in which an expansion tank (330) and a water circulation pump (320) are connected in series to a water refrigerant heat exchanger (310). In addition, water supplied from the water supply pipe may not pass through the water circulation pump (320), but may be heat-exchanged by the fifth heat source in the water refrigerant heat exchanger (310) and supplied directly to the hot water supply pipe (340).

[0067] The configuration and control of the above-mentioned control module (400) will be explained with reference to FIG. 4. FIG. 4 is a block diagram showing the configuration of the control module illustrated in FIG. 1.

[0068] The above control module (400) may be equipped with a microprocessor, a memory that stores information regarding the operation of the first heat exchange module (100) and the second heat exchange module (200), information regarding heating and cooling, information regarding floor heating, and information regarding hot water supply, and an operating member for operating the on / off of the cooling and heating, floor heating, and hot water supply, and as shown in FIG. 4, it may include a heating and cooling control unit (410), a floor heating control unit (420), and a hot water control unit (430). Meanwhile, the operating member may be an operating panel mounted on a wall inside the room, but is not limited thereto and may be provided as a remote control member such as a remote control.

[0069] When cooling or heating is selected in the above operating member, the above cooling and heating control unit (410) controls the operation of the first heat exchange module (100) and the second heat exchange module (200) to generate a third heat source and a fourth heat source, and can control the transmission of the third heat source for cooling or the fourth heat source for heating to the indoor unit (220) through the three-way valve (210).

[0070] When floor heating is selected in the operating member, the above floor heating control unit (420) controls the operation of the first heat exchange module (100), the second heat exchange module (200), and the water refrigerant heat exchange module (300) to generate a fifth heat source, and can control the fifth heat source to be transferred to the circulation pipe (350) for indoor floor heating in winter through the three-way valve (210), the water circulation pump (320), and the expansion tank (330).

[0071] When hot water is selected from the operating member, the above hot water control unit (430) controls the operation of the first heat exchange module (100), the second heat exchange module (200), and the water refrigerant heat exchange module (300) to generate a fifth heat source, and can control the transfer of the fifth heat source to the hot water pipe (350) for hot water supply through the three-way valve (210), the water circulation pump (320), and the expansion tank (330).

[0072] In the above-described heating and cooling system, the first geothermal source supply module (10) generating the first heat source in the first heat exchange module (100) is configured to be a standing column well (SCW), but as shown in FIG. 5, a vertical closed loop method can also be provided in parallel. FIG. 5 is a drawing showing another example of applying the heating and cooling system shown in FIG. 1.

[0073] That is, in the heating and cooling system illustrated in FIG. 2, a structure is applied in which a first geothermal source supply module (10) is provided in a well-hole type to supply geothermal source, but in the heating and cooling system illustrated in FIG. 5, a first geothermal source supply module (10) in a well-hole type and a second geothermal source supply module (20) in a vertical closed type are applied, and a hot water boiler (30) is provided so that floor heating can be provided in the central hot water system in the event of a heat pump failure in winter, thereby ensuring stability in the use of the geothermal system.

[0074] In addition, in the heating and cooling system illustrated in FIG. 5, the first geothermal source supply module (10) is used as the primary method, and the second geothermal source supply module (20) can be used as an auxiliary method during partial load operation and peak load occurrence.

[0075] In addition, each of the first geothermal source supply module (10) and the second geothermal source supply module (20) may be provided with a butterfly valve and a pump, as shown in FIG. 5.

[0076] Next, the control process of the heating and cooling system described above will be explained with reference to FIGS. 1 to 6. FIG. 6 is a flowchart illustrating the control process in a heating and cooling system according to the present invention.

[0077] First, when operation is started in the heating and cooling system according to the present invention, the control module (400) controls the generation of a second heat source using a first heat source in the first heat exchange module (100), and the generation of a third heat source and a fourth heat source using the second heat source in the second heat exchange module (200), and the heating and cooling control unit (410) determines whether a cooling or heating mode is selected by an operating member (S10).

[0078] In the above step S10, if a cooling mode is selected by the operating member, the indoor unit (220) is operated (S20), the second heat exchange module (200) determines that it is a cooling operation, and indoor cooling can be performed by the refrigerant through the evaporator absorbing the second heat source to generate a third heat source and transferring the third heat source to the indoor unit (220) through the three-way valve (210). Additionally, in the above step S10, if a heating mode is selected by the operating member, the indoor unit (220) is operated (S20), the second heat exchange module (200) determines that it is a heating operation, and indoor heating can be performed by the refrigerant through the condenser absorbing the second heat source to generate a fourth heat source and transferring the fourth heat source to the indoor unit (220) through the three-way valve (210).

[0079] In the above step S10, if the floor heating mode is selected instead of the cooling or heating mode, the control module (400) generates a second heat source using the first heat source in the first heat exchange module (100), generates a fourth heat source using the second heat source in the second heat exchange module (200), and controls the water refrigerant heat exchanger (310) to operate (S30) to generate a fifth heat source by heat-exchanging the fourth heat source, and the floor heating control unit (420) determines whether the floor heating mode is selected by the operating member (S40).

[0080] When the floor heating mode is selected in step S40 above, the floor heating control unit (420) can operate the three-way valve (210), water circulation pump (320), and expansion tank (330) to control the transfer of the fifth heat source to the circulation pipe (350) for indoor floor heating, thereby enabling floor heating (S50).

[0081] In addition, if the hot water supply mode is selected instead of the floor heating mode in step S40, the control module (400) generates a second heat source using the first heat source in the first heat exchange module (100), generates a fourth heat source using the second heat source in the second heat exchange module (200), and controls the water refrigerant heat exchanger (310) to operate (S30) to heat exchange the fourth heat source and generate a fifth heat source, and the hot water control unit (420) determines whether the hot water supply mode is selected by the operating member, and controls the operation of the three-way valve (210), water circulation pump (320), and expansion tank (330) so that the fifth heat source is transmitted to the hot water pipe (340) for indoor hot water supply, thereby enabling hot water supply (S50).

[0082] As described above, in the cooling and heating system according to the present invention, cooling and heating operations are performed using a refrigerant during the summer and spring / autumn seasons, and heating is performed through floor heating during the winter season. When cooling or heating is not performed, the system can be controlled to provide hot water.
