Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a wildfire extinguishing system for supplying water in the event of a wildfire by configuring a water storage unit for storing water in a mountain, such as a reservoir, and a method for constructing the same. Background Technology

[0003] Generally, more than 2,000 forest fires occur every year, causing not only damage to forests but also the loss of houses and cultural assets, and sometimes even loss of life.

[0004] The characteristics of forest fires in Korea include dense forests, a large accumulation of combustible fallen leaves, and mountainous terrain with steep slopes and undulations, which causes the combustion speed to spread rapidly—about eight times faster than in flat land—and the fires spreading simultaneously when combined with seasonal winds during the dry spring season.

[0005] In addition, when a wildfire occurs, immediate ground access is difficult, and there is a risk of close-range firefighting due to smoke, high temperatures, and sudden changes in the direction of turbulence (high temperatures with fire columns 20–30 m and flame temperatures of 600°C–1200°C). Furthermore, firefighting infrastructure is weak due to a lack of water sources, and firefighting by helicopter is impossible due to strong winds and nighttime wildfires.

[0006] Early suppression is the best way to minimize damage from such wildfires. Currently, early suppression is carried out by installing watchposts throughout the mountains for visual monitoring by observers, or by installing surveillance cameras at high altitudes and utilizing video information transmitted from each camera at the wildfire control center. By detecting the occurrence of a wildfire early, firefighters can be dispatched more quickly to extinguish the fire.

[0007] However, even if a forest fire was detected early, it was very difficult to extinguish it in its early stages if the terrain was high or forest roads were not constructed, or if the roads were too narrow or the slopes too steep for firefighting vehicles such as fire trucks to enter. This resulted in long travel times to the fire source and the inability to supply firefighting water in a timely manner.

[0008] In particular, while it is possible to extinguish fires from the air using firefighting helicopters during the day, firefighting operations using helicopters cannot be carried out at night or when the wind is strong, so there is no choice but to rely on firefighting personnel climbing up the mountain.

[0009] Furthermore, wildfire suppression personnel climbing the aforementioned mountain faced significant difficulties in directly extinguishing large-scale fires, as such actions were expected to result in casualties; consequently, their efforts were limited to removing residual embers in areas where the fire had passed or those that had been extinguished by firefighting helicopters.

[0010] In addition, although firefighting using fire-resistant water is carried out in the mountains, the amount of water supplied is so small that it is difficult to expect a significant effect, and since it is limited to forming firebreaks using sickles or fire-resistant tools, there were problems that there were many limitations and difficulties in early firefighting.

[0011] To solve these problems, Korean registered patent No. 10-0981287 (hereinafter referred to as 'Patent Document 1') has been proposed.

[0012] The above patent document 1 comprises an underground storage tank buried in various places on the mountain, into which water to be used for extinguishing forest fires is transported from the outside and stored inside, a valve chamber connected to the underground storage tank by a transfer pipe to open and close the transfer of water within the underground storage tank, and a nozzle device connected to the valve chamber by a transfer pipe to spray the water transported through the valve chamber to the outside.

[0013] (Patent Document 1) KR 10-0981287 B1 The problem to be solved

[0015] However, the aforementioned patent document 1 had the problem that not only was there a high cost to equip the underground storage tank, but the cost to maintain it was also high. means of solving the problem

[0017] The purpose of the wildfire extinguishing system and construction method according to the present invention, which solves the above-mentioned problems, is to provide a wildfire extinguishing system and a construction method thereof capable of extinguishing a wildfire early by urgently supplying water through water stored in the water storage section of a water storage unit made of rubber material when a wildfire occurs.

[0018] Another objective of the present invention is to improve the efficiency of wildfire suppression operations by maintaining water pressure while increasing water supply efficiency, as the water storage unit is made of rubber material, thereby reducing the volume of the water storage unit when water is used and completely consuming the water.

[0019] Another objective of the present invention is to ensure that a large amount of water is smoothly filled into the storage space of the water storage unit by filling the storage space of the water storage unit constituting the water storage unit only when a water level is reached at which a certain water pressure is achieved from the water supply unit.

[0020] Another objective of the present invention is to enable the storage of a large amount of water by removing air present in the upper part of the storage space through an air exhaust unit including two or more vertical air exhaust pipes when filling the water storage unit with water.

[0021] Another objective of the present invention is to enable the early supply of water to extinguish forest fires at an early stage by making it easy to install on mountains under various conditions, as the overall structure is compact and simple, allowing for transport to mountain peaks or mid-slopes where transportation is difficult.

[0022] Another objective of the present invention is to reduce construction costs by making the water storage portion of a water storage unit for storing and supplying water out of a foldable rubber material, thereby lowering the price of the water storage unit.

[0023] Another objective of the present invention is to reduce maintenance costs by enabling the supply valve of a water storage unit to be opened in the event of a fire while the unit is positioned at the summit or mid-slope of a mountain, thereby supplying water using the internal water pressure without a separate power source.

[0024] Another objective of the present invention is to make maintenance easier by ensuring that the water storage part constituting the water storage unit is made of a foldable rubber material, thereby reducing the rate of damage caused by typhoons, impacts from broken trees, and climate change.

[0025] Another objective of the present invention is to further include a heating unit within the storage space between the upper and lower surfaces of the water storage unit constituting the water storage unit so as not to freeze water when the temperature is low, and at the same time, to separate the upper and lower surfaces of the water storage unit made of rubber material when water is supplied to the water storage unit by the heating unit so as to allow water to be filled smoothly.

[0026] Another objective of the present invention is to further include a water-expanding sealant on the outer surface of the heating unit so that, during the process of filling with water, the volume of the water-expanding sealant expands due to the inflow of water, thereby further separating the upper and lower sides of the water storage section and enabling smoother filling of water. Effects of the invention

[0028] The present invention enables early wildfire suppression by urgently supplying water through the water stored in the water storage section of a water storage unit made of rubber material when a wildfire occurs.

[0029] In addition, since the water reservoir is made of rubber, its volume decreases when water is used, allowing all the water to be consumed. This increases water supply efficiency while maintaining water pressure, thereby enhancing the efficiency of wildfire suppression operations.

[0030] In addition, when filling the storage space of the water storage section constituting the water storage unit, water is filled only when a water level is reached where a certain water pressure is achieved from the water supply unit, thereby allowing a large amount of water to be smoothly filled into the storage space of the water storage section.

[0031] In addition, when filling the water storage compartment with water, a large amount of water can be stored by removing air present in the upper part of the storage space through an air exhaust unit including two or more vertical air exhaust pipes.

[0032] In addition, the overall structure is compact and simple, making it possible to transport to mountain peaks or mid-slopes where transportation is difficult. This allows for easy installation in mountains with various conditions, enabling the early supply of water to extinguish wildfires in their early stages.

[0033] In addition, since the water storage section of the water storage unit for storing and supplying water is made of a foldable rubber material, the price of the water storage unit is low, which can reduce construction costs.

[0034] In addition, when a water storage unit is placed at the summit or mid-slope of a mountain, water can be supplied without a separate power source by opening the supply valve of the water storage unit using the water pressure inside the storage section in the event of a fire, thereby reducing maintenance costs.

[0035] In addition, the water storage section constituting the water storage unit is made of a foldable rubber material, which reduces the rate of damage caused by impacts from typhoons or broken trees, as well as climate change, thereby making maintenance easier.

[0036] In addition, a heating unit may be included in the storage space between the upper and lower surfaces of the water storage unit constituting the water storage unit to prevent water from freezing when the temperature is low, and at the same time, when water is supplied to the water storage unit by the heating unit, the upper and lower surfaces of the water storage unit made of rubber material may be separated to allow water to be filled smoothly.

[0037] In addition, the heating unit is configured to include a water-expanding sealant on its outer surface, so that during the filling process, the volume of the sealant expands due to the inflow of water, further separating the upper and lower sides of the water storage section and enabling smoother water filling. This is a useful invention. Brief explanation of the drawing

Specific details for implementing the invention

[0040] The present invention will be described in more detail below using the attached drawings.

[0041] As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the present invention consists of a water storage unit (10), a water supply unit (20), and a water collection unit (30).

[0042] First, the water storage unit (10) is configured with a water storage section (11) that includes a storage space (11a) capable of storing water inside, with the top, bottom, and sides all closed.

[0043] The above water storage unit (11) is made of a foldable rubber material so that it can be moved in a folded state, thereby reducing its volume when moving to high locations such as the summit or the middle of a mountain.

[0044] Here, the water storage unit (11) can be fixed by forming a fixing unit (16) including a fixing hole (16a) to fix it to the ground and connecting a fixing pin (17) to the fixing hole (16a), and the water storage unit (11) described above can be configured in a stacked form at one location or at two or more locations as shown in FIG. 3.

[0045] In addition, a fluid inlet (12) is formed on the upper side of the shear section located in the direction of the mountain peak among the water storage sections (11) so that fluid can flow into the storage space (11a) of the water storage section (11).

[0046] The above fluid inlet (12) can be used not only to fill water into the storage space (11a) of the water storage unit (11), but also to inject air to secure the storage space (11a) of the water storage unit (11) when it is transported in a folded state during the initial installation of the water storage unit (11).

[0047] Additionally, an air discharge section (13) is formed in the water storage section (11) at a position spaced apart from the fluid inlet section (12) to discharge air present in the storage space (11a) of the water storage section (11).

[0048] The above air discharge section (13) is configured to discharge air to prevent the water from being filled inside the storage space (11a) due to air present in the storage space (11a) when water is filled into the storage space (11a) through the fluid inlet section (12). It can be configured such that each vertical air discharge section (13a) is connected by a structure consisting of two or more vertical air discharge pipes (13a) extending in a vertical direction and a horizontal air discharge pipe (13b) for connecting the vertical air discharge pipes (13a).

[0049] Here, it is preferable to form the vertically extended length of the vertical air discharge pipe (13a) constituting the air discharge section (13) to be longer than the vertically extended length of the fluid inlet section (12) so that when water is supplied through the fluid inlet section (12), the water does not leak out through the air discharge section (13).

[0050] In addition, a supply valve (14) and a pipe-shaped first water supply pipe (15) are configured on the lower side of the rear end, which is the other end where the fluid inlet (12) is formed in the water storage unit (11), so as to supply water stored in the storage space (11a) of the water storage unit (11) to the outside, and to supply water to a desired location in the event of a wildfire.

[0051] The above supply valve (14) is not specifically limited to a configuration that allows a manager or firefighter to arrive at the location where the water storage unit (11) is placed and operate it manually in the event of a wildfire.

[0052] Here, the above-described water storage unit (11) is configured to be installed on the ground, so the supply valve (14) and the first water supply pipe (15) may be damaged by being pressed.

[0053] Accordingly, the present invention may be configured to further include a storage unit (18) at the location where the supply valve (14) and the first water supply pipe (15) are formed as shown in FIG. 1.

[0054] The above-mentioned support unit (18) is configured to allow the lower rear end of the water storage unit (11) to form a gap with the ground, and the material or configuration is not specifically limited.

[0055] Next, the water supply unit (20) is configured to supply water to the water storage unit (10) described above.

[0056] The water supply unit (20) comprises a water supply tank (21) filled with water to supply water to the water storage unit (10), a second water supply pipe (22) and a first valve (23) for supplying water from the water supply tank (21) to the fluid inlet (12) of the water storage section (11) constituting the water storage unit (10).

[0057] Here, the water supply tank (21) constituting the water supply unit (20) is made of a water tank of a commonly used material and has a smaller capacity than the water storage section (11) of the water storage unit (10).

[0058] Additionally, the water supply tank (21) constituting the water supply unit (20) may further include a water level sensing unit (24) for opening the first valve (23) to supply water to the water storage unit (10) when the water in the water supply tank (21) reaches a certain water level.

[0059] The above-mentioned water level detection unit (24) may be formed in any shape that allows the first valve (23) to be manually opened when the water level is reached.

[0060] That is, it can be applied in various forms, such as when the first valve (23) is opened when a certain water level is reached through buoyancy, or by opening the first valve (23) through an electrical signal from a water level sensor.

[0061] Next, the water collection unit (30) is configured to collect water to supply water to the water supply unit (20).

[0062] In other words, the water in the present invention is not supplied through a separate means, but is configured to collect water generated from the mountain, that is, rainwater on rainy days or water flowing down from the mountain.

[0063] The water collection unit (30) may be composed of a plurality of poles (31) and a water collection cloth (33) made of synthetic resin material that is connected to the poles (31) and connected to the poles (31) at one end to collect water, and connected to a third water supply pipe (32) at the other end to supply water to a water supply unit (20), so as to form a funnel shape overall.

[0064] Next, the heating unit (40) is placed within the storage space (11a) of the water storage section (11) constituting the water storage unit (10) to prevent the stored water from freezing when the temperature is low.

[0065] The heating unit (40) is configured to be long in the longitudinal direction like a wire, and one end is fixed using various types of fixing means (not shown in the drawing) including bolts / nuts and fixing straps at a location close to the fluid inlet (12), and the other end can be connected by fixing it through a fixing means within the storage space (11a) at the location where the supply valve (14) is formed.

[0066] Meanwhile, in the present invention, as shown in FIG. 4, a water expansion index material (50) can be wrapped around and combined with the outer surface of the heating unit (40).

[0067] The above water-expanding index material (50) is configured to expand in volume when in contact with water. In the present invention, when initially supplying water to the water storage unit (10), the space between the upper and lower sides of the water storage part (11), which is made of rubber material, is separated to allow water to be filled smoothly.

[0068] Such water expansion index material (50) can be configured by being wound at multiple locations when combined with the outer surface of the heating unit (40).

[0070] The construction method of the wildfire extinguishing system according to the present invention, which is configured as described above, comprises: a moving step of moving the water storage unit, water supply unit, and water collection unit to a location to be installed in a state prior to assembly; a water storage unit installation step of assembling and installing a fluid inlet, an air outlet, a supply valve, and a first water supply pipe in the water storage unit constituting the water storage unit after the moving step; a heating unit installation step of installing a heating unit in the storage space of the water storage unit constituting the water storage unit; a water supply unit installation step of placing and installing a water supply unit for supplying water to the water storage unit on the upper side of the water storage unit; and a water collection unit installation step of placing and installing a water collection unit for collecting water to supply water to the water supply unit.

[0071] Here, after the step of installing the water collection unit, a step of injecting air through a fluid inlet to secure the storage space of the rubber water storage unit before filling the storage space of the water storage unit constituting the water storage unit with water may be further included.

[0072] In addition, during the water storage unit installation step, a fixing part including a plurality of fixing holes is formed on the lower side of the water storage part constituting the water storage unit, so that it can be fixed to the ground by a fixing pin.

[0073] In addition, during the water storage unit installation step, the air discharge section constituting the water storage unit may be structured such that two or more vertical air discharge pipes are formed vertically from the water storage section and a horizontal air discharge pipe connecting each of the vertical air discharge pipes is formed, thereby connecting each of the vertical air discharge pipes.

[0074] In addition, during the water storage unit installation step, a support unit may be additionally installed at the location of the supply valve and water supply pipe within the water storage unit to protect the supply valve and water supply pipe.

[0075] In addition, in the water supply unit installation step described above, the water supply tank constituting the water supply unit may be configured to further include a water level sensor for opening a first valve to supply water to a water storage unit when the water in the water supply tank reaches a certain water level.

[0076] In addition, in the water collection unit installation step, the water collection unit may be composed of a plurality of poles and a rainwater collection cloth made of synthetic resin material that is connected to the poles, with one end connected to the poles to collect rainwater on rainy days and the other end connected to a first water supply pipe to supply water to a water supply unit, so that the entire structure is combined in a funnel shape.

[0077] In addition, a water expansion index material may be wrapped around the outer surface of the heating unit during the heating unit installation step.

[0078] Here, although the heating unit is not specifically limited, when installing, a traction line (not shown in the drawing) is placed within the storage space of the water storage section constituting the water storage unit, and then the heating unit is connected to the traction line, and the traction line is pulled to connect the heating unit.

[0079] Although the above towing line is not specifically limited, a heating unit (40) can be placed after connecting through a perforated section (not shown in the drawing) where the fluid inlet section (12) of the water storage section (11) constituting the water storage unit (10) and the supply valve (14) are combined.

[0081] The following describes the effects of the wildfire extinguishing system according to the present invention.

[0082] First, when the installation of all components is completed, the present invention injects air through the fluid inlet (12) to inflate the water storage unit (11) in order to secure the storage space (11a) of the water storage unit (10).

[0083] In such a state, depending on the location where the present invention is installed, water collected by the water collection cloth (33) of the water collection unit (30) installed to collect water generated from the mountain, that is, rainwater on rainy days or water flowing down from the mountain, is filled into the water supply tank (21) of the water supply unit (20) through the third water supply pipe (32).

[0084] Here, in the water supply tank (21) of the present invention, a water level sensor (24) is formed so that when a certain water level is reached, the first valve (23) is opened to supply water to the storage space (11a) of the water storage unit (11) constituting the water storage unit (10) through the second water supply pipe (22).

[0085] This is so that, even though air is injected into the water storage unit (11) made of rubber material, due to the characteristics of the material, it does not fully expand, and thus, even if water is introduced, the water storage unit (11) does not fully expand. In the present invention, water can be supplied when a certain amount of water is filled in the water supply tank (21) of the water supply unit (20) and a certain water pressure is formed, so that water can be smoothly filled into the storage space (11a) of the water storage unit (11) by the water pressure.

[0086] Meanwhile, an air discharge section (13) is formed on the upper side of the water storage section (11) so that air remaining in the storage space (11a) is discharged to the outside during the process of filling water as described above, thereby allowing a larger amount of water to be filled and thus enabling the storage of a large amount of water.

[0087] In particular, the air discharge section (13) is formed with a plurality of vertical air discharge pipes (13a) to smoothly remove air that may be present in the upper part of the storage space (11a) of the water storage section (11), thereby enabling the storage of a large amount of water.

[0088] As described above, the stored water can be supplied through the first water supply pipe (15) by opening the supply valve (14) of the water storage unit (10) when a wildfire occurs, thereby enabling the early extinguishing of the wildfire by urgently supplying water.

[0089] In particular, the water storage part (11) constituting the water storage unit (10) in the present invention is made of rubber material and is configured to swell as water fills the storage space (11a).

[0090] Accordingly, when water is used due to a wildfire, as the water in the storage space (11a) of the water storage unit (11) is depleted, the volume of the water storage unit (11) is reduced, and the water in the storage space (11a) can maintain water pressure through the first water supply pipe (15), thereby depleting all the water in the water storage unit (11) to increase water supply efficiency and, at the same time, increasing the efficiency of wildfire extinguishing work by maintaining water pressure.

[0091] Meanwhile, the present invention is composed of a compact and simple overall structure, making it possible to transport to mountain peaks or mid-slopes where transportation is difficult. This allows for easy installation on mountains under various conditions, thereby enabling the early supply of water to extinguish wildfires in the event of an outbreak.

[0092] That is, the water storage unit (10) in the present invention, which is a means for storing water, is made of a foldable rubber material and is configured to allow assembly of a fluid inlet part (12), an air outlet part (13), a supply valve (14), and a first water supply pipe (15) that are coupled thereto.

[0093] Therefore, when moving the water storage unit (10), the largest water storage section (11) can be transported in a folded state.

[0094] In addition, the water supply tank (21) of the water supply unit (20) is made smaller in volume than the water storage section (11) of the water storage unit (10), and the water collection section (30) is assembled or made small in volume by a pole (31), a third water supply pipe (32), and a water collection cloth (33) made of fabric material, so that it can be transported even to high-altitude mountains, thereby enabling installation on mountains under various conditions.

[0095] In particular, in the present invention, the water storage part (11) of the water storage unit (10) for storing and supplying water is made of a foldable rubber material, so the cost of the unit for storing water is low, and thus construction costs can be reduced.

[0096] In addition, most wildfires occur at the bottom of the mountain rather than at the summit, and the present invention allows water to be supplied without a separate power source by opening the supply valve (14) of the water storage unit (10) when a fire occurs while the water storage unit (10) is placed at the summit or middle of the mountain, thereby reducing maintenance costs.

[0097] In addition, the water storage part (11) constituting the water storage unit (10) in the present invention is made of a foldable rubber material, so the rate of damage caused by typhoons, impacts from broken trees, and climate change is low, thereby enabling easy maintenance.

[0098] Meanwhile, in the present invention, a heating unit (40) is further included in the storage space (11a) of the water storage section (11) constituting the water storage unit (10), so that it can function to prevent water from freezing when the temperature is low.

[0099] In particular, the heating unit (40) is positioned between the upper and lower surfaces (a, b) of the water storage unit (11) as shown in FIG. 4, and separates the upper and lower surfaces before water is injected, thereby separating the upper and lower surfaces of the water storage unit (11), which is made of rubber material, so that water can flow in smoothly and fill the unit.

[0100] Furthermore, in the present invention, the outer surface of the heating unit (40) is further configured to include a water-expanding index material (50), so that when water is filled, the water-expanding index material (50) reacts with the incoming water and expands in volume, thereby further separating the upper and lower surfaces (a, b) of the water storage unit (11) and expanding the passage through which water can flow in, so that the effect of allowing water to flow in more smoothly and fill the unit can be obtained.

[0101] The above-described embodiments explain the most preferred examples of the present invention, but are not limited to these embodiments. It is obvious to those skilled in the art that various modifications are possible within the scope of the technical spirit of the present invention. Explanation of the symbols
