Below, the configuration and operation of a battery management device (100) according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described using FIGs. 2 to 5.

[0043] FIG. 2 is a block diagram showing a battery management device according to one embodiment of the present document. FIG. 3 is a drawing for explaining the operation of a battery management device according to one embodiment disclosed in the present document.

[0044] Referring to FIG. 2, a battery management device (100) according to one embodiment disclosed in this document may include a data acquisition unit (110) and a processor (120).

[0045] The data acquisition unit (110) can acquire characteristic information and log data regarding at least one battery cell (10, 20, 30). According to an embodiment, the data acquisition unit (110) can acquire characteristic information including capacity deviation of at least one battery cell (10, 20, 30).

[0050] According to an embodiment, the processor (120) can calculate an energy increase when the operating SOC is lower than the target SOC. By calculating the energy increase when the operating SOC is lower than the target SOC, the processor (120) can increase efficiency by calculating the energy increase only for days when it is discharged without being charged to the target SOC due to the influence of weather or other factors.

[0051] According to an embodiment, the processor (120) can calculate an energy ratio per interval of depth of discharge (DOD) and calculate an energy increase based on the calculated energy ratio. As the processor (120) subdivides the interval of the depth of discharge, the accuracy of the calculated energy increase may increase.

[0052] According to an embodiment, the processor (120) can calculate an energy increase when the operating SOC is higher than a specified value. Since the battery cell has the characteristic of having more energy in the higher range than in the lower range of the SOC value, the processor (120) can increase computational efficiency by calculating the energy increase only when the operating SOC is higher than a specified value.

[0053] Referring to FIG. 3, a detailed explanation will be provided. Referring to FIG. 3, when calculating the energy ratio per 5% of discharge depth, a higher SOC value can yield a greater amount of energy. Additionally, in the range where the SOC value is higher than A, additional capacity may be generated. According to an embodiment, the processor (120) can calculate an increase in energy if the operating SOC of the battery cells (10, 20, 30) is higher than a specified value (A).

[0054] Referring again to FIG. 2, the processor (120) can measure the remaining capacity of each battery cell (10, 20, 30) based on the increase in energy.

[0055] According to an embodiment, the processor (120) can calculate the difference between the target SOC and the operating SOC, and measure the remaining capacity of the battery cells (10, 20, 30) using the calculated result and the discharge amount. For example, the processor (120) can measure the remaining capacity of the battery cells (10, 20, 30) using the result of multiplying the difference between the target SOC and the operating SOC by the discharge amount.

[0056] According to an embodiment, the processor (120) can measure the remaining capacity of at least one battery cell (10, 20, 30) by weighting the energy increase. For example, the processor (120) can weight the energy increase based on characteristic information of at least one battery cell (10, 20, 30).

[0057] The processor (120) can measure the remaining capacity of the battery containing the battery cells (10, 20, 30) using the remaining capacity of the measured battery cells (10, 20, 30).

[0058] FIG. 4 is a flowchart showing the operation method of a battery management device according to one embodiment disclosed in this document.

The data acquisition unit (100) can acquire specific information and log data from the battery cell (10, 20, 30), but is not limited thereto.

[0062] In step S120, the processor (120) can calculate an energy increase for the target SOC of at least one battery cell (10, 20, 30) based on characteristic information and log data.

[0063] According to an embodiment, the processor (120) can calculate an energy increase when the operating SOC is lower than the target SOC. By calculating the energy increase when the operating SOC is lower than the target SOC, the processor (120) can increase efficiency by calculating the energy increase only for days when it is discharged without being charged to the target SOC due to the influence of weather or other factors.

[0064] According to an embodiment, the processor (120) can calculate an energy ratio per interval of depth of discharge (DOD) and calculate an energy increase based on the calculated energy ratio. As the processor (120) subdivides the interval of the depth of discharge, the accuracy of the calculated energy increase may increase.

[0065] According to an embodiment, the processor (120) can calculate an energy increase when the operating SOC is higher than a specified value. Since the battery cell has the characteristic of having more energy in the higher range than in the lower range of the SOC value, the processor (120) can increase computational efficiency by calculating the energy increase only when the operating SOC is higher than a specified value.

[0066] In step S130, the processor (120) can measure the remaining capacity of at least one battery cell (10, 20, 30) based on the energy increase.

[0067] According to an embodiment, the processor (120) can calculate the difference between the target SOC and the operating SOC, and measure the remaining capacity of the battery cells (10, 20, 30) using the calculated result and the discharge amount. For example, the processor (120) can measure the remaining capacity of the battery cells (10, 20, 30) using the result of multiplying the difference between the target SOC and the operating SOC by the discharge amount.

[0068] According to an embodiment, the processor (120) can measure the remaining capacity of at least one battery cell (10, 20, 30) by weighting the energy increase. For example, the processor (120) can weight the energy increase based on characteristic information of at least one battery cell (10, 20, 30).

[0069] The processor (120) can measure the remaining capacity of the battery containing the battery cells (10, 20, 30) using the remaining capacity of the measured battery cells (10, 20, 30).

[0070] FIG. 5 is a drawing showing a computing system according to another embodiment disclosed in this document.
