Abstract
Description
Technology Field
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a display device and a method for controlling the same, and more specifically, to a display device capable of supplying charging power to an external device through an external input port and a method for controlling the same. Background Technology
[0002] Recently, as the number of external devices supporting fast charging has increased, user demand for fast charging is also steadily rising.
[0003] Conventional display devices could supply power to external devices through external input ports such as USB standards. However, conventional display devices could only supply a constant amount of power regardless of the device's power consumption, so there was a problem in that sufficient power could not be supplied to external devices except by increasing the capacity of the power supply unit. The problem to be solved
[0004] The present disclosure is intended to solve the aforementioned problems, and the purpose of the present disclosure is to provide a display device and a control method thereof that can supply sufficient power to an external device without increasing the capacity of the power supply device by adjusting the power supplied to the external device according to the power consumption of the display device.
[0005] In addition, to prevent damage to the device caused by excessive current being supplied to an external device, a display device and a control method thereof are provided that adjust an OCP (Over Current Protection) value according to the supply power. means of solving the problem
[0006] A display device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure for achieving the above objectives comprises: an external input port capable of being connected to an external device and capable of supplying power to said external device; a power supply unit that generates a DC power corresponding to said external device using power received from the outside and provides said generated DC power to said external input port; a display; and a processor that acquires a first power consumed by said display based on brightness information of said display, determines a second power that can be supplied to said external input port based on said first power information and the power supplied by said power supply unit, receives information regarding a third power required to supply power to an external device connected to said external input port from said external device, and determines a fourth power supplied to said external input port based on said second power and the information regarding said third power. The processor determines an OCP (Over Current Protection) value based on said fourth power, and stops supplying power to said external device if the current value supplied to said external input port exceeds said OCP value.
[0007] In this case, the processor can determine the OCP value according to a preset ratio from the current value supplied to the external input port according to the fourth power.
[0008] In this case, the processor can adjust the OCP value to be reduced if the power calculated based on the OCP value and the voltage value according to the fourth power exceeds the supply power of the power supply.
[0009] Meanwhile, the processor can receive the third power information using the USB-PD (USB Power Delivery) PDO (Power Data Objects) method.
[0010] Meanwhile, the third power information is information regarding voltage and current values required for charging the external device, and the processor can determine the fourth power based on the voltage and current values included in the third power information if the required power of the external device calculated based on the voltage and current values included in the third power information does not exceed the second power.
[0011] Meanwhile, the third power information is information regarding voltage and current values required for charging the external device, and if the required power of the external device calculated based on the voltage and current values included in the third power information exceeds the second power, the processor can determine the fourth power using preset voltage and current values within a range that does not exceed the second power.
[0012] Meanwhile, the display device further includes an illuminance sensor, and the processor detects the illuminance around the display device through the illuminance sensor, adjusts the brightness of the display based on the detected illuminance, and can obtain the adjusted brightness information as brightness information of the display.
[0013] Meanwhile, when a user command to adjust the brightness of the display is input, the processor can obtain the adjusted brightness information as the brightness information of the display.
[0014] Meanwhile, the above external input port may be USB Type-C compliant.
[0015] In this case, the processor can receive a video signal from the external input port and control the display to display a video based on the received video signal.
[0016] Meanwhile, a control method for a display device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure comprises: a step of obtaining a first power consumed by the display based on brightness information of the display; a step of determining a second power that can be supplied to an external input port based on the first power information and the power supplied by a power supply device; a step of receiving information regarding a third power required to supply power to an external device connected to the external input port from the external device; a step of determining a fourth power supplied to the external input port based on the second power and the information regarding the third power; a step of determining an OCP (Over Current Protection) value based on the fourth power; and a step of stopping the supply of power to the external device if the current value supplied through the external input port exceeds the OCP value.
[0017] In this case, the step of determining the OCP value may determine the OCP value according to a preset ratio from the current value supplied to the external input port according to the fourth power.
[0018] In this case, the control method may further include a step of adjusting the OCP value to decrease when the power calculated based on the OCP value and the voltage value according to the fourth power exceeds the supply power of the power supply device.
[0019] Meanwhile, the step of receiving information regarding the third power can receive the third power information using a USB-PD (USB Power Delivery) PDO (Power Data Objects) method.
[0020] Meanwhile, the third power information is information regarding voltage and current values required for charging the external device, and the step of determining the fourth power can determine the fourth power based on the voltage and current values included in the third power information if the required power of the external device calculated based on the voltage and current values included in the third power information does not exceed the second power.
[0021] Meanwhile, the third power information is information regarding voltage and current values required for charging the external device, and the step of determining the fourth power may determine the fourth power using preset voltage and current values within a range that does not exceed the second power when the required power of the external device calculated based on the voltage and current values included in the third power information exceeds the second power.
[0022] Meanwhile, the above control method further includes the steps of detecting illuminance around the display device through an illuminance sensor, adjusting the brightness of the display based on the detected illuminance, and obtaining brightness information of the display, wherein the step of obtaining brightness information of the display may obtain the adjusted brightness information as brightness information of the display.
[0023] Meanwhile, the above control method further includes the step of receiving a user command for adjusting the brightness of the display and the step of obtaining brightness information of the display, wherein the step of obtaining brightness information of the display may obtain brightness information adjusted according to the input user command as brightness information of the display.
[0024] Meanwhile, the above external input port may be USB Type-C compliant.
[0025] In this case, the control method may further include the steps of receiving a video signal from the external input port and displaying a video based on the received video signal through the display. Brief explanation of the drawing

[0034] The present disclosure will be described in detail below with reference to the attached drawings.
[0035] FIG. 1 is a drawing illustrating a display device and an external device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0036] A display device (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention refers to an electronic device equipped with a display. Specifically, the display device (100) may be implemented as a TV, monitor, laptop PC, mobile phone, PDA, kiosk, video wall, as well as various types of home appliances such as a refrigerator, washing machine, or air conditioner equipped with a display (130).
[0037] A display device (100) according to one embodiment of the present disclosure can receive and display various types of content, such as game content, movie content, home shopping content, drama content, and VR content, through a display (130).
[0038] Additionally, a display device (100) according to one embodiment of the present disclosure may have an external input port (120) that can be connected via a wire to an external device (200).
[0039] An external device (200) according to one embodiment of the present disclosure refers to an electronic device that can be connected to a display device (100) via a wire. The external device (200) may be implemented as a laptop PC, but is not limited thereto, and may be implemented as various devices capable of receiving power through a wired connection, such as a tablet PC, mobile phone, video phone, smartphone, netbook computer, workstation, PDA, PMP (portable multimedia player), MP3 player, camera, virtual reality (VR) implementation device, or wearable device.
[0040] A display device (100) according to one embodiment of the present disclosure is connected to an external device (200) through an external input port (120) provided on one side of the device to transmit and receive information to and from the external device (200) or to supply power to the external device (200).
[0041] Meanwhile, when the maximum amount of power that can be supplied to an external device (200) is fixed regardless of the power consumption of the display device (100), there was a problem in that the charging power supply was not efficient because only limited power could be delivered to the external device (200) even though there was a surplus of power supply, such as when the power consumption of the display device (100) is low (e.g., when operating in power saving mode or at low brightness).
[0042] Accordingly, the present disclosure provides a display device and a control method thereof that can supply sufficient power to an external device without increasing the capacity of the power supply by adjusting the power supplied to the external device according to the power consumption of the display device. Hereinafter, various embodiments of the present disclosure will be described.
[0043] FIG. 2 is a block diagram for explaining the configuration of a display device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0044] Referring to FIG. 2, the display device (100) may include a power supply (110), an external input port (120), a display (130), and a processor (140).
[0045] The power supply unit (110) can supply power to various configurations of the display device (100) using power input from an external source. Additionally, when an external device (200) is connected to an external input port (120) of the display device (100), the power supply unit (110) can supply power to the external device (200) by generating DC power corresponding to the external device and providing the generated DC power to the external input port (120).
[0046] The power supply unit (110) is not limited to a specific device, but the present specification assumes that the power supply unit (110) is an SMPS (Switching Mode Power Supply). An SMPS refers to a power supply unit that operates through switching, and is a power supply unit that has the advantage of being able to be miniaturized and lightweight, such as for energy storage components, due to a switching frequency of tens to hundreds of kHz.
[0047] The SMPS equipped in the display device (100) has a fixed power capacity, and if a power demand exceeding the power capacity occurs, a problem arises in the operation of the display device (100). Therefore, the sum of the power consumed by the display device (100) and the power supplied to the external device (200) through the external input port (120) must not exceed the power capacity of the SMPS.
[0048] The external input port (120) is a port through which the display device (100) and the external device (200) can be connected via a wire.
[0049] The external input port (120) may be a port having any one of the standards of HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface), MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link), USB (Universal Serial Bus), DP (Display Port), Thunderbolt, VGA (Video Graphics Array) port, RGB port, D-SUB (D-subminiature), and DVI (Digital Visual Interface).
[0050] In particular, the external input port (120) may be a USB Type-C standard. USB Type-C is a 24-pin USB terminal system that allows the transmission of data and power. USB Type-C can be used with the USB-PD standard, is easy to use for fast charging, and is a terminal system that is convenient to use as there is no distinction between top and bottom.
[0051] A display device (100) according to one embodiment of the present disclosure can communicate with an external device (200) through an external input port (120) and simultaneously supply power to the external device (200). Specifically, the display device (100) can receive a video signal from the external device (200) through the external input port (120) and display the video through the display (130), and simultaneously supply power to the external device (200) through the external input port (120) to provide charging power.
[0052] Meanwhile, the display device (100) can be connected to an external device (200) via a cable (300). Referring to FIG. 1, one side of the cable (300) can be connected to an external input port (120) and the other side can be connected to an external device (200), and the display device (100) can transmit and receive input / output signals via the cable (300) and simultaneously supply power to the external device (200).
[0053] A display (130) is a device that outputs information in a visual form (e.g., text, image, etc.). According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the display (130) can display an image corresponding to a video signal received from an external device (200).
[0054] The display (130) can be implemented as various types of displays such as LCD (Liquid Crystal Display), OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diodes) display, QLED (Quantum dot light-emitting diodes) display, PDP (Plasma Display Panel), etc. The display (130) may also include a driving circuit, a backlight unit, etc., which can be implemented in forms such as TFT, LTPS (low temperature poly silicon) TFT, OTFT (organic TFT), etc. Meanwhile, the display (130) can be implemented as a touch screen combined with a touch sensor, a flexible display, a 3D display, etc.
[0055] The processor (140) can control the overall operation of the display device (100).
[0056] Specifically, the processor (140) can be connected to each component of the display device (100) to control the operation of the display device (100). For example, the processor (140) can be connected to the power supply (110), the external input port (120), and the display (130) to control the operation of the display device (100).
[0057] The processor (140) may be named by various names such as digital signal processor (DSP), microprocessor, central processing unit (CPU), Micro Controller Unit (MCU), micro processing unit (MPU), Neural Processing Unit (NPU), controller, and application processor (AP), but in this specification, it is referred to as a processor (140). The processor (140) may be implemented as a System on Chip (SoC) or Large Scale Integration (LSI), or may be implemented in the form of a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). Additionally, the processor (140) may include volatile memory such as SRAM.
[0058] A processor (140) according to one embodiment of the present disclosure may obtain a first power consumed by the display (130) based on brightness information of the display (130), determine a second power that can be supplied to an external input port (120) based on the first power information and the power supplied by the power supply unit (110), receive information about a third power required to supply power to an external device (200) connected to the external input port (120) from the external device (200), and determine a fourth power supplied to the external input port (120) based on the information about the second power and the third power.
[0059] Additionally, the processor (140) determines an OCP (Over Current Protection) value based on the fourth power, and can stop supplying power to the external device (200) if the current value supplied to the external input port (120) exceeds the OCP value.
[0060] FIG. 3 is a block diagram for explaining the detailed configuration of a display device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0061] Referring to FIG. 3, the display device (100) may include a power supply (110), an external input port (120), a display (130), a processor (140), an illuminance sensor (150), a communication interface (160), and a memory (170). A detailed description of the parts of the configuration shown in FIG. 3 that overlap with the configuration shown in FIG. 2 will be omitted.
[0062] The illuminance sensor (150) can detect the illuminance around the display device (100). The processor (140) can adjust the brightness of the display (130) based on the illuminance detected by the illuminance sensor (150), and obtain the adjusted brightness information as the brightness information of the display (130) to obtain the first power consumed by the display device (100). A detailed description regarding the operation of adjusting the brightness of the display (130) through the illuminance sensor (150) will be described later in FIG. 11.
[0063] The communication interface (160) can communicate with an external device to transmit and receive various information. The communication interface (160) can communicate with an external device through a local area network (LAN), an internet network, and a mobile communication network, as well as through various communication methods such as Bluetooth (BT), Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Wireless Fidelity (WI-FI), Wireless Fidelity Direct (WI-FI Direct), Zigbee, NFC, etc.
[0064] The memory (170) may store various instructions, programs, or data required for the operation of the display device (100) or the processor (140).
[0065] FIG. 4 is a diagram illustrating the operation of a display device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure supplying power to an external device.
[0066] Referring to FIG. 4, the display device (100) can acquire (S410) a first power consumed by the display (130) and determine (S420) a second power that can be supplied to an external input port (120) based on the first power. A detailed explanation regarding this will be provided later in FIG. 5.
[0067] Additionally, the display device (100) receives (S430) third power information required to supply power to an external device (200) connected to an external input port (120) from the external device (200), and can determine (S440) a fourth power provided to the external input port (120) based on the second power and the third power information. A detailed explanation regarding this will be provided later in FIGS. 6 to 8.
[0068] Furthermore, the display device (100) determines an OCP (Over Current Protection) value based on the fourth power (S450), and if the current value supplied to the external input port (120) exceeds the OCP value, it may stop supplying power to the external device (200) (S480). A detailed explanation regarding this will be provided later in FIG. 9.
[0069] FIG. 5 is a diagram illustrating the operation of calculating power supplied from a display device to an external device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0070] The display device (100) can obtain brightness information of the display according to the set backlight level. For example, referring to FIG. 5, the backlight level includes levels 0 to 100, and the power consumption (first power) in the display (130) accordingly can be up to 40W and at least 10W.
[0071] Here, the processor (140) can receive third power information required from an external device (200) in a USB-PD (USB Power Delivery) PDO (Power Data Objects) manner.
[0072] USB-PD is a power supply standard for charging electronic devices using a USB port, characterized by the ability to supply up to 100W of power through a USB cable.
[0073] A display device (100) and an external device (200) according to one embodiment of the present disclosure can determine how to set voltage and current values when charging between electronic devices connected via a USB terminal prior to power supply via USB-PD.
[0074] In this process, the PDO (Power Data Objects) method can be used. PDO is a method that determines power supply voltage and current values by exchanging specification information (hereinafter referred to as power supply specification information) regarding the voltage and current values used for power supply between electronic devices connected via a USB cable.
[0075] Meanwhile, when the maximum output of the SMPS is 100W, the second power that can be supplied to the external input port (120) may be, for example, a maximum of 90W and a minimum of 60W. The display device (100) can determine the second power among a plurality of power values according to the USB-PD settings. For example, referring to FIG. 5, the USB-PD settings are divided into 7 steps, and the second power value may be determined from 60W, 65W, 70W, 80W, 85W, and 90W.
[0076] FIG. 6 is a diagram for explaining the operation of determining power supplied to an external device through communication between a display device and an external device, and FIG. 7 is a diagram for explaining the operation of determining power supplied to an external device when the power consumption of the display device in FIG. 6 is reduced.
[0077] The upper left table (610) of FIG. 6 shows the power supply and power consumption of a display device (100) according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. In the display device (100) according to one example, the SMPS capacity of the power supply device (110) is 100W (611) and the power consumption of the device is 70W (612), and 30W (613) can be supplied to an external device (200) through an external input port (120).
[0078] The lower left table (620) of FIG. 6 relates to power supply specification information of a display device (100) according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0079] The power supply specification information according to one example may be specification information according to the PDO (Power Data Objects) method. According to the PDO method, the display device (100) can supply power to an external device (200) only at a preset voltage.
[0080] Referring to the table (620), the display device (100) can supply a current of 0.1A to 3.0A at a voltage of 5V to an external device (200), a current of 1.67A to 3.0A at a voltage of 9V, a current of 1.8A to 3.0A at a voltage of 15V, and a current of 2.25A to 5A at a voltage of 20V.
[0081] The upper right table (630) of FIG. 6 relates to the maximum input voltage, maximum input current, and maximum received power of an external device (200) according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0082] According to one example, the external device (200) has a maximum input voltage of 20V (631), a maximum input current of 3.25A (632), and a maximum received power of 65W (633).
[0083] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the display device (100) and the external device (200) exchange information of each device shown in the above-described table (610, 620, 630) via wired communication prior to supplying power. Since the maximum received power (633) of the external device (200) exceeds the supplyable power of the display device (100), the display device (100) can supply 30W, which is the supplyable power (613) of the display device (100), to the external device (200).
[0084] Meanwhile, in the case where the display device (100) and external device (200) according to one example are supplied with power in a PDO manner, power supply can be made only at a predetermined voltage, so 15V is determined as the voltage supplied from the external input port (120) according to the power supply specification (620) of the display device (100) (641).
[0085] Referring to the table (620) regarding power supply specification information, when the output voltage is 15V, the display device (100) can supply current from 1.8A to 3.0A, and since the power supply capability of the display device (100) is 30W, the current supplied to the external input port (120) is determined to be 2.0A (642).
[0086] Accordingly, the port supply power is determined to be 30W (643). In FIG. 6, the process of determining the port supply power described above is expressed as power negotiation.
[0087] Meanwhile, FIG. 7 shows that the power consumption of the display device (100) in FIG. 6 has been reduced to 25W, and 75W can be supplied to an external device (200) through an external input port (120).
[0088] In this case, since the maximum received power (733) of the external device (200) does not exceed the supplyable power (713) of the display device (100), the display device (100) can supply 65W to the external device (200).
[0089] Referring to the table (720) regarding power supply specification information, when the supply power is 65W, the output voltage is a maximum of 20V, and since this does not exceed the maximum input voltage (731) of the external device (200), 20V is determined as the voltage supplied to the external input port (120) (741). In addition, the port supply current is determined as 3.25A (742), and 65W, which is the product of the port supply voltage (741) and the port supply current (742), is determined as the port supply power (743).
[0090] Accordingly, when the power consumption of the display device (100) decreases, more power can be supplied to the external device (200), enabling efficient charging operation.
[0091] FIG. 8 is a graph of voltage and current values corresponding to power supply according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0092] Figure 8 shows voltage and current values based on the assumption that power is supplied using the PDO method described above, and is a graph of the tables (620, 720) regarding the power supply specification information of Figures 6 and 7.
[0093] The graph (410) on the far left in Fig. 8 shows that when power is supplied at an output voltage of 5V, the current value is 0.1A to 3.0A, and thus power can be supplied up to a maximum of 15W.
[0094] The second graph from the left (420) shows that when power is supplied at an output voltage of 9V, the current value is 1.67A to 3A, and thus power can be supplied up to a maximum of 27W.
[0095] The third graph from the left (430) shows that when power is supplied at an output voltage of 15V, the current value is 1.8A to 3A, and thus power can be supplied up to a maximum of 45W.
[0096] The graph (440) located on the far right shows that when power is supplied at an output voltage of 20V, the current value is 2.25A to 5A, so power can be supplied up to a maximum of 100W.
[0097] FIG. 9 is a diagram illustrating an operation for determining an OCP value according to power supplied from a display device to an external device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0098] The display device (100) can determine an OCP (Over Current Protection) value based on the power supplied to an external device (i.e., the fourth power) determined according to the USB-PD method described above.
[0099] In this case, the display device (100) can determine the OCP value according to a preset ratio from the current value supplied to the external input port (120) according to the fourth power. For example, the OCP value can be determined as a value with a margin of 20% of the current value supplied to the external input port, i.e., 1.2 times the supply current value.
[0100] Meanwhile, if the power calculated based on the OCP value and the voltage value according to the fourth power, i.e., the power consumption value supplied to the external device, exceeds the power supplied by the power supply unit (110), the OCP value can be adjusted to decrease. Referring to FIG. 9, when the fourth power is 90W, if the charging current is supplied at the OCP value (5.4A) determined according to the power supplied value (4.5A), the power consumption value becomes 108W, which exceeds the SMPS maximum supply power of 100W. In this case, the processor (140) can adjust the OCP value so that the power consumption value becomes 100W or less.
[0101] The display device (100) can prevent overcurrent from being supplied to the external device (200) by stopping power supply to the external device (200) when the current value supplied through the external input port (120) exceeds the OCP value.

[0109] The Main IC (143) controls the overall operation of the display device (100) and includes the function of expanding and contracting image data input to the display device (100) and displaying it on the display (130).
[0110] The MUX IC (144) transmits the video signal input from the external input port (120) to the Main IC (143).
[0111] The light sensor (150) transmits light information of the surrounding environment to the Main IC (143).
[0112] FIG. 11 is a drawing for explaining the operation of automatically adjusting display brightness through an illuminance sensor provided in a display device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0113] When the power of the display device (100) is turned on, the power supplied to the external device (200) (i.e., the fourth power) can be set according to the backlight level value of the display (130).
[0114] The illuminance sensor (150) can detect the illuminance around the display device (100) and transmit the detected illuminance information to the processor (140). The processor (140) can adjust the brightness of the display (130) based on the detected illuminance and obtain the adjusted brightness information as the brightness information of the display (130).
[0115] Meanwhile, when a user command to adjust the brightness of the display (130) is input (e.g., user input through a control panel), brightness information adjusted according to the input user command can be obtained as brightness information of the display (130).
[0116] The processor (140) can obtain a first power consumed by the display (130) based on brightness information of the display (130), and can automatically adjust the power supplied to the external device (200) based on this.
[0117] FIG. 12 is a flowchart illustrating a control method for a display device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0118] Referring to FIG. 12, a control method for a display device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure includes the steps of: obtaining a first power consumed by the display based on brightness information of the display (S1210); determining a second power that can be supplied to an external input port based on the first power information and the power supplied by the power supply device (S1220); receiving information about a third power required to supply power to an external device connected to the external input port from an external device (S1230); determining a fourth power supplied to the external input port based on the second power and the information about the third power (S1240); determining an OCP (Over Current Protection) value based on the fourth power (S1250); and stopping power supply to the external device when the current value supplied through the external input port exceeds the OCP value (S1260).
[0119] First, based on the brightness information of the display, the first power consumed by the display can be obtained (S1210).
[0120] Here, the illuminance around the display device is detected through an illuminance sensor, the brightness of the display is adjusted based on the detected illuminance, and the adjusted brightness information can be obtained as the brightness information of the display.
[0121] Meanwhile, when a user command to adjust the brightness of the display is entered, brightness information adjusted according to the entered user command can be obtained as brightness information of the display.
[0122] And, based on the first power information and the power supplied by the power supply, a second power that can be supplied to an external input port can be determined (S1220).
[0123] Here, the external input port may be a USB Type-C standard. Meanwhile, the display device receives a video signal from the external input port and can display an image based on the received video signal through the display.
[0124] In addition, information regarding the third power required to supply power to an external device connected to an external input port can be received from the external device (S1230).
[0125] In this case, third power information can be received using the USB-PD (USB Power Delivery) PDO (Power Data Objects) method.
[0126] Here, the third power information may be information regarding the voltage and current values required for charging the external device.
[0127] And, based on information regarding the second power and the third power, a fourth power supplied to an external input port can be determined (S1240).
[0128] In this case, if the required power of the external device calculated based on the voltage and current values included in the third power information does not exceed the second power, the fourth power can be determined based on the voltage and current values included in the third power information.
[0129] Meanwhile, if the required power of an external device calculated based on the voltage and current values included in the third power information exceeds the second power, the fourth power can be determined using preset voltage and current values within a range that does not exceed the second power.
[0130] And, based on the fourth power, the OCP (Over Current Protection) value can be determined (S1250).
[0131] In this case, the OCP value can be determined according to a preset ratio from the current value supplied to the external input port according to the fourth power. For example, the OCP value can be determined as 1.2 times the supply current value, with a margin of 20% of the current value supplied to the external input port.
[0132] Meanwhile, if the power calculated based on the OCP value and the voltage value according to the fourth power, i.e., the power consumption value supplied to the external device, exceeds the power supplied by the power supply, the OCP value can be adjusted to be reduced.
[0133] And, if the current value supplied through the external input port exceeds the OCP value, power supply to the external device can be stopped (S1260).
