Abstract
Description
Technology Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a disposable diaper. Background Technology
[0002] A disposable diaper is known to have a fastening tape that joins the back and back sides of the diaper body when attached (see, for example, Patent Documents 1 to 3). Here, in the conventional disposable diaper, the diaper body has side flap portions on both sides of the back side, and the fastening tape has a fixing portion fixed to the side flap portions and a protruding piece extending outward in the width direction from the fixing portion. Furthermore, Patent Documents 1 and 2 disclose a configuration in which a cutout is formed in the fixing portion, extending outward in the width direction from the inner end edge of the diaper body in the width direction. Additionally, Patent Document 3 discloses a configuration in which the fixing portion extends downward (toward towards the wearer's leg) from the protruding piece. Prior art literature
[0003] Japanese Published Patent Application No. 2010-136788, Japanese Published Patent Application No. 2012-120663, Japanese Published Patent Application No. 2021-074077 The problem to be solved
[0004] However, the fixing portion of the fastening tape disclosed in Patent Document 1 and Patent Document 2 does not extend downward of the protruding piece (towards the wearer's leg). Consequently, when the back portion and the back portion are joined together, the force acting on the lower part of the side flap portion is weakened, and there is a problem that the fitability of the leg circumference of the diaper body is reduced.
[0005] In addition, the fastening tape disclosed in Patent Document 3 has a fixing portion that extends downward (toward the wearer's leg) from the protruding portion, but the side flap portion has increased rigidity downward from the protruding portion because the fixing portion is extended. Therefore, when the back portion and the back portion are joined together, the lower part of the side flap portion is not properly deformed, and there is a problem that the fitability of the diaper body around the leg is reduced.
[0006] Therefore, the present invention aims to provide a disposable diaper capable of improving the fit of the leg circumference of the diaper body. means of solving the problem
[0007] To achieve the above objective, the disposable diaper of the present invention comprises a diaper body extending from the back side to the back side, having a surface sheet and a back sheet and an absorbent disposed between them, a side flap portion formed on both sides of the back side and extending outward in the width direction of the diaper body beyond the absorbent, and a fastening tape formed on the side flap portion and fixed to the back side when the diaper body is used, wherein the fastening tape comprises a fixing portion fixed to the side flap portion and a protruding piece extending outward in the width direction of the diaper body from the fixing portion, and wherein the fixing portion is characterized by having a cutout formed in the lower region on the wearer's leg side beyond the protruding piece, extending from the outer edge in the width direction toward the inner side in the width direction. [0010] Hereinafter, a form for implementing the disposable diaper according to the present invention will be described based on Example 1 and Example 2 shown in the drawings.
[0011] (Example 1)
[0012] The disposable diaper (1) of Example 1 is a diaper that is fitted onto a wearer (P) by an assistant. When using the disposable diaper (1), the wearer (P) is covered by a diaper body (10) from the back through the crotch to the abdomen, as shown in FIG. 1. The disposable diaper (1) comprises a diaper body (10) having a back portion (10X), a crotch portion (10Y), and a back portion (10Z), as shown in FIG. 2, and a fastening tape (20) formed on the diaper body (10). Here, the back portion (10X), the back portion (10Z), and the crotch portion (10Y) between the back portion (10X) and the back portion (10Z) are formed as a continuous, integral structure. Additionally, there is no boundary or structural difference between the back portion (10X) and the crotch portion (10Y), or between the back portion (10Z) and the crotch portion (10Y). Also, the disposable diaper (1) has side flap portions (17) formed on both sides of the back portion (10X) joined to the back portion (10Z) through a fastening tape (20). The disposable diaper (1) may be used with an inner pad set on the inside.
[0013] In the following description, the direction connecting the back side (10X) and the back side (10Z) is referred to as the “extension direction (D),” and the direction perpendicular to the extension direction (D) is referred to as the “width direction (E).” Also, in the following description, terms such as “up and down,” “left and right,” and “front and back” are used with respect to the wearer (P). That is, the extension direction (D) is the front and back direction of the diaper body (10), the front side corresponds to the back side of the wearer (P), and the rear side corresponds to the back side of the wearer (P).
[0014] As shown in FIG. 2, the diaper body (10) is equipped with a top sheet (11) (surface sheet), a back sheet (12) (back sheet), an absorbent (13), and a pair of gathered sheets (14).
[0015] The top sheet (11) is a sheet placed on the body side (inner side) of the diaper body (10) and covers the surface of the absorbent body (13). The top sheet (11) has liquid permeability, which is a characteristic of allowing liquid to pass through, and is formed, for example, of a liquid-permeable nonwoven fabric. The top sheet (11) allows body fluid to pass quickly toward the absorbent body (13).
[0016] The back sheet (12) is a sheet that is placed on the clothing side (outer side) of the diaper body (10) and covers the back side of the absorbent body (13). The back sheet (12) has liquid impermeability, which is a characteristic that does not allow liquid to pass through, and is formed, for example, of a resin film. The back sheet (12) prevents the passage of body fluids held by the absorbent body (13), thereby preventing the clothing, etc. from getting wet.
[0017] The absorbent body (13) is placed between the top sheet (11) and the back sheet (12) and absorbs and retains liquid (body fluid) that has passed through the top sheet (11). The absorbent body (13) is composed of absorbent polymer particles formed in a sheet shape and pulp fibers, and is wrapped by a core wrap sheet not shown, made of crepe paper or non-woven fabric, etc. Additionally, the absorbent body (13) does not necessarily have to be wrapped by a core wrap sheet. The absorbent body (13) has a strip shape extending in the extension direction (D) of the diaper body (10) and is set to have an outer shape smaller than the top sheet (11) and the back sheet (12). The absorbent body (13) may be single-layer or multi-layer.
[0018] The top sheet (11) and the back sheet (12) are overlapped with the absorbent body (13) in between, and the parts other than the overlapping area of the absorbent body (13) are bonded by an adhesive such as hot melt.
[0019] The gathered sheet (14) may be made of, for example, a water-repellent or liquid-impermeable nonwoven fabric. The gathered sheet (14) has a long strip shape in the extension direction (D) and is formed as a pair with the center of the width direction (E) of the diaper body (10) in between. One end of the gathered sheet (14) in the width direction (E) is fixed to the top sheet (11) by, for example, an adhesive such as hot melt or welding. At the other end of the gathered sheet (14) in the width direction (E), two long, slender elastic stretch members (14a) (see FIG. 2) extending in the extension direction (D) are formed in a predetermined stretched state. The elastic stretch members (14a) may be made of, for example, filamentous or strip-shaped synthetic rubber. The elastic stretch member (14a) extends from the dorsal side (10X) to the ventral side (10Z). Due to the contraction force of the elastic stretch member (14a), a gather is formed at the other end in the width direction (E) of the gather sheet (14) and stands up from the top sheet (11). Then, as the gather sheet (14) stands up, a three-dimensional gather (15) is formed. The three-dimensional gather (15) can be deformed to fit the body shape of the wearer (P) and prevents the wearer's (P) excrement from leaking sideways.
[0020] Additionally, the diaper body (10) has a plurality of elastic stretchable members (16a) extended in an extension direction (D) formed in a predetermined extended state along the groin of the wearer (P). The elastic stretchable members (16a) have a long, slender shape and, for example, can use synthetic rubber in the form of threads or strips. Due to the contraction force of the elastic stretchable members (16a), a flat gather (16) is formed along the groin of the diaper body (10).
[0021] The flat gather (16) extends along the extension direction (D) of the diaper body (10) with the crotch area (10Y) as the center. As shown in FIG. 2, the flat gather (16) is formed on the outer side in the width direction (E) of the three-dimensional gather (15). The flat gather (16) can be deformed to fit the body shape of the wearer (P). The diaper body (10) improves the fit in the wearer (P)'s groin area by deforming the flat gather (16).
[0022] Additionally, the diaper body (10) has side flap portions (17) formed on each side of the width direction (E) of the back portion (10X). The side flap portions (17) are composed of a top sheet (11) and a back sheet (12) that extend laterally (outward in the width direction (E)) from the side edge (13a) of the absorbent body (13) in the width direction (E). In addition, in the side flap portions (17), the entire surface of the top sheet (11) is adhered to the back sheet (12). And, as shown in FIG. 2, one fastening tape (20) is formed on each side flap portion (17) on both sides of the back portion (10X).
[0023] The fastening tape (20) is formed by a sheet material consisting of, for example, nonwoven fabric, plastic film, polyethylene laminate nonwoven fabric with a surface covered with a thin film of polyethylene, paper, or a composite material thereof. The fastening tape (20) is used to pull the side flap portion (17) when an assistant fastens the disposable diaper (1) onto the wearer (P). To prevent unnecessary tearing or stretching during use, the fastening tape (20) is made of a material with a higher weight per unit area than the top sheet (11) or back sheet (12). The fastening tape (20) has a fixing portion (21) and a single protruding piece (22).
[0024] The fixed part (21) is fixed to the side end (17a) of the side flap part (17). Also, here, the entire surface of the fixed part (21) is fixed to the side flap part (17). However, the fixed part (21) may be fixed to the side flap part (17) with a portion protruding from the side end (17a). Also, the fixed part (21) is fixed to the outer side (clothing side) of the side flap part (17), in other words, the back sheet (12). Additionally, the fixed part (21) may be fixed to both the front and back sides of the side flap part (17) with the side flap part (17) in between, or it may be fixed to the inner side (body side) of the side flap part (17), in other words, the top sheet (11). The fixed part (21) is fixed to the side flap part (17) by means of an adhesive such as hot melt or welding. Also, the fixed part (21) has a rectangular shape when viewed from a flat surface and extends along the extension direction (D) of the diaper body (10).
[0025] The protruding piece (22) is formed by extending a portion of the outer side edge (21a) (see FIG. 3) of the fixed part (21) toward the outer side in the width direction (E). In short, the protruding piece (22) extends from the outer side edge (21a) of the fixed part (21) toward the outer side in the width direction (E) of the diaper body (10). Also, the “outer side edge (21a) of the fixed part (21)” is the outer end edge of the fixed part (21) in the width direction (E). And, the protruding piece (22) protrudes laterally from the side flap part (17) toward the diaper body (10), in short, toward the outer side in the width direction (E).
[0026] Also, only one protruding piece (22) is formed (alone) on the fixed part (21). The protruding piece (22) has a roughly rectangular shape that is smaller than the fixed part (21) when viewed from a flat surface. And, the protruding piece (22) is held by an assistant when attaching the disposable diaper (1) to the wearer (P).
[0027] Additionally, a catch member (23) is formed on the inner side (body side) of the protruding piece (22). The catch member (23) is detachably hooked onto a target tape (24) formed on the outer side (clothing side) of the back side (10Z) of the diaper body (10).
[0028] Additionally, the hook member (23) may be a hook material of a cotton fastener or an adhesive tape. The material or shape of the hook member (23) is irrelevant as long as it is possible to repeatedly hook and peel off with respect to the target tape (24). Also, for the target tape (24), for example, if the hook member (23) is a hook material of a cotton fastener, a sheet having a plurality of loop yarns formed on the surface to which the hook material is entangled may be used. For example, if the hook member (23) is an adhesive tape, a smooth sheet having undergone a peeling treatment on the surface may be used. Additionally, if the hook member (23) is composed of a hook material and the outer surface (clothing side) of the back sheet (12) is made of non-woven fabric, the target tape (24) may be omitted. In this case, the hook member (23) is entangled and fixed to the fibers of the back sheet (12).
[0029] In addition, the disposable diaper (1) of Example 1 has a cut-out portion (30) formed in the fixing portion (21) of the fastening tape (20). Also, an eye-mark portion (25) is formed in the protruding portion (22) of the fastening tape (20).
[0030] The eye mark portion (25) is a part that indicates the position of the protruding piece (22) that is held by an assistant when the disposable diaper (1) is attached. The eye mark portion (25) is formed on the outer edge portion (22a) in the width direction (E) of the protruding piece (22). The eye mark portion (25) of Example 1 is formed by protruding the upper part (the corner portion on the upper side of the protruding piece (22)) of the outer edge portion (22a) of the protruding piece (22) in a semicircular shape toward the outside in the width direction (E).
[0031] Additionally, the catch member (23) is positioned in the middle of the width direction (E) of the protruding piece (22) and is formed in a position that does not interfere with the eye mark (25). Because of this, the eye mark (25) does not get caught on the target tape (24) and is easy to grip when peeling off the fastening tape (20).
[0032] The cut-out portion (30) is formed on the outer side edge (21a) of the fixed portion (21) in the width direction (E) and is a portion that is recessed from the side edge (21a) toward the inner side in the width direction (E). That is, the cut-out portion (30) is formed by cutting the outer side edge (21a) of the fixed portion (21) in an arc shape toward the inner side in the width direction (E). The cut-out portion (30) is formed in the lower region (α) of the fixed portion (21) (the region enclosed by the dashed line in FIG. 4), and is formed at a position continuous from the lower end (22b) of the protruding piece (22). In short, the protruding piece (22) and the cut-out portion (30) are formed as a curved shape that is integrally continuous when viewed from a plane. Here, the “lower region (α)” is the area below the lower end (22b) of the protruding part (22) of the fixed part (21) (the crotch part (10Y) side, the leg side of the wearer (P)).
[0033] And, an eye mark (25) is formed on the upper right corner of the protruding piece (22), and a cut-out section (30) is formed continuously from the lower end (22b) of the protruding piece (22) on the outer side edge (21a) in the width direction (E) of the fixed part (21), so that the eye mark (25) and the cut-out section (30) face each other with the protruding piece (22) in between. In short, the location where the eye mark (25) is formed and the location where the cut-out section (30) is formed are roughly positioned on the same diagonal of the protruding piece (22).
[0034] In addition, in the disposable diaper (1) of Example 1, the fixed portion (21) has a non-fixed area (R1) (an area enclosed by a dashed line in FIG. 4), and the side flap portion (17) has a non-adhesive area (R2) (an area enclosed by a dashed line in FIG. 3).
[0035] The non-fixed area (R1) is an area of the fixed part (21) that is not fixed to the side flap part (17). The non-fixed area (R1) extends obliquely downward through the lower area (α) from the cut-out part (30) to the inner side edge (21b) in the width direction (E) of the fixed part (21). Additionally, the direction of extension of the non-fixed area (R1) is not limited to the direction shown in FIG. 3, and can be set to any direction as long as it passes through the lower area (α) of the fixed part (21).
[0036] The non-adhesive area (R2) is an area of the side flap portion (17) formed by overlapping the top sheet (11) and the back sheet (12) where the top sheet (11) and the back sheet (12) are not bonded. The non-adhesive area (R2) extends from the position overlapping the cutout portion (30) to the position where the gather sheet (14) is formed, in the same direction as the non-fixed area (R1) (a direction that passes through the lower area (α) and faces obliquely downward). Because of this, the non-fixed area (R1) and the non-adhesive area (R2) overlap.
[0037] Additionally, the non-adhesive region (R2) may be extended in a direction different from the extension direction of the non-fixed region (R1), and is not limited to the direction shown in FIG. 3, but can be set in any direction as long as it passes through the lower region (α) of the fixed part (21). Additionally, the non-adhesive region (R2) may be extended from the side end (17a) of the side flap part (17) to the middle position of the side flap part (17) (the position in front of the gather sheet (14).
[0038] The operation of the disposable diaper (1) of Example 1 is explained below.
[0039] To attach the disposable diaper (1) of Example 1 to the wearer (P), the assistant first unfolds the diaper body (10) of the disposable diaper (1) and places it against the body of the wearer (P) in a supine position. At this time, the assistant positions the dorsal side (10X) of the diaper body (10) toward the back of the wearer (P). Next, the assistant covers the abdomen of the wearer (P) with the ventral side (10Z) of the diaper body (10). Subsequently, the assistant grasps the protruding piece (22) and pulls the side flap (17) through the fastening tape (20) to fit the dorsal side (10X) to the body of the wearer (P). Then, the assistant secures the catch member (23) formed on the protruding piece (22) to the target tape (24) while the side flap portion (17) is pulled. As a result, the side flap portion (17) is joined to the back portion (10Z), and the disposable diaper (1) is attached to the wearer (P).
[0040] Here, the fastening tape (20) of the disposable diaper (1) of Example 1 has a cut-out portion (30) formed in the lower region (α) of the fixing portion (21) located on the leg side of the wearer (P) rather than the protruding piece (22). Therefore, in the side end portion (17a) of the side flap portion (17), the fastening tape (20) is not overlapping in the part where the cut-out portion (30) overlaps. In short, a part with reduced rigidity occurs in the lower region (α) of the fixing portion (21). As a result, when the side flap portion (17) is pulled, the part where the cut-out portion (30) overlaps on the lower side of the protruding piece (22) (on the leg side of the wearer (P)) is properly deformed. As a result, when using the disposable diaper (1), as shown in FIG. 5, the portion where the cut-out portion (30) of the side flap portion (17) overlaps is folded, and a wrinkle (S) can be formed around the cut-out portion (30). In addition, looseness or lifting of the lower part of the side flap portion (17) can be suppressed so that it conforms to the body of the wearer (P), thereby improving the fit of the diaper body (10) around the legs.
[0041] In addition, in the disposable diaper (1) of Example 1, an eye mark (25) is formed on the outer edge portion (22a) in the width direction (E) of the protruding piece (22). Thus, when an assistant grasps the protruding piece (22) of the disposable diaper (1), the assistant can grasp the upper part of the outer edge portion (22a) of the protruding piece (22) (the upper right corner portion of the protruding piece (22)) where the eye mark (25) is formed. In addition, by grasping the position where the eye mark (25) is formed and pulling the fastening tape (20), the assistant can easily pull the side flap portion (17) downward at an angle greater than the width direction (E). That is, the disposable diaper (1) can be guided to pull the side flap (17) downward at an angle from the width direction (E) by forming an eye mark (25) on the outer edge portion (22a) of the protrusion (22), thereby increasing the fit of the waist circumference of the diaper body (10).
[0042] And, regarding this, in the disposable diaper (1) of Example 1, the cut-out portion (30) formed in the fixing portion (21) is positioned opposite the eye mark portion (25) with the protruding piece (22) in between. Therefore, when the side flap portion (17) is pulled downward at an angle and a first force (F1) directed downward at an angle acts on the upper part of the side flap portion (17), a second force (F2) directed upward at an angle toward the cut-out portion (30) acts on the lower part of the side flap portion (17). In short, a force (second force (F2)) is applied to the side flap portion (17) such that the lower side (leg side) of the fastening tape (20) is pulled upward.
[0043] Thus, the wrinkle (S) that occurs around the cut portion (30) extends obliquely downward from the cut portion (30). And, by having the wrinkle (S) that extends obliquely downward from the cut portion (30) in the side flap portion (17), looseness or lifting of the lower part of the side flap portion (17) is suppressed, and the fit of the leg circumference of the diaper body (10) can be improved.
[0044] Additionally, the disposable diaper (1) of Example 1 has a non-fixed area (R1) in which the fixing part (21) of the fastening tape (20) is not fixed to the side flap part (17). Here, in the non-fixed area (R1), the fixing part (21) and the side flap part (17) are separated, and the rigidity of the side flap part (17) in the non-fixed area (R1) is reduced compared to the part where the fixing part (21) is fixed. Because of this, the side flap part (17) can be easily deformed in the non-fixed area (R1).
[0045] In addition, since the non-fixed area (R1) extends obliquely downward from the cut-out section (30) through the lower area (α) of the fixed section (21), the first force (F1) and the second force (F2) acting on the side flap section (17) can be concentrated toward the cut-out section (30). As a result, an obliquely upward fold (S) toward the cut-out section (30) can be easily formed at the bottom of the side flap section (17), thereby improving the fit of the leg circumference.
[0046] In addition, in the disposable diaper (1) of Example 1, the side flap portion (17) is formed by laminating the top sheet (11) and the back sheet (12), and the top sheet (11) is adhered to the back sheet (12). And, the side flap portion (17) has a non-adhesive area (R2) that does not adhere the top sheet (11) and the back sheet (12).
[0047] In the non-adhesive area (R2), the top sheet (11) and the back sheet (12) are separated, and the side flap portion (17) has reduced rigidity in the non-adhesive area (R2) compared to the part where the top sheet (11) and the back sheet (12) are bonded. Because of this, the side flap portion (17) can be easily deformed in the non-adhesive area (R2). Also, the non-adhesive area (R2) extends obliquely downward from a position where it overlaps with the cut-out portion (30) through the lower area (α) of the fixing portion (21). As a result, the obliquely upward fold (S) that occurs in the side flap portion (17) toward the cut-out portion (30) can be extended toward the center of the width direction (E) of the back portion (10X). As a result, the fitability of the leg circumference of the diaper body (10) can be further improved.
[0048] (Example 2)
[0049] In the disposable diaper (1A) of Example 2, as shown in FIG. 6, a cut-out portion (30) is formed in the fixing portion (21) of the fastening tape (20A), and a brittle structure (40) that suppresses the rigidity of the fastening tape (20A) is formed on the periphery edge portion of the cut-out portion (30). In addition, the configuration other than the fastening tape (20A) in the disposable diaper (1A) of Example 2 is approximately the same as that of the disposable diaper (1) of Example 1. Therefore, a detailed description is omitted.
[0050] In the disposable diaper (1A) of Example 2, the vulnerable structure (40) formed in the fastening tape (20A) is formed by a plurality (here, three) of cut lines (41) formed in the fixing part (21). The cut lines (41) are formed by alternately arranging a cut portion that penetrates the fixing part (21) and an uncut portion that does not penetrate the fixing part (21) along any direction passing through the lower region (α) of the fixing part (21). Additionally, the plurality of cut lines (41) constituting the vulnerable structure (40) are arranged in an extension direction (D) at a predetermined interval.
[0051] In the fixing portion (21) of the fastening tape (20A), a weak structure (40) is formed by a plurality of cut lines (41), so that the rigidity of the part where the weak structure (40) is formed is reduced compared to the part where the weak structure (40) is not formed. In short, the rigidity of the perimeter edge portion of the cut portion (30) of the fastening tape (20A) is suppressed.
[0052] The operation of the disposable diaper (1A) of Example 2 is described below.
[0053] In the disposable diaper (1A) of Example 2, a first force (F1) directed obliquely downward is applied to the upper part of the side flap (17) by an assistant pulling the side flap (17) obliquely downward. Also, a second force (F2) directed obliquely upward toward the cut-out (30) is applied to the lower part of the side flap (17). And, since the cut-out (30) is formed in the fixing part (21) of the fastening tape (20), a fold (S) extending obliquely downward from the cut-out (30) can be generated in the side flap (17). As a result, the disposable diaper (1A) of Example 2 can improve the fit around the legs of the diaper body (10) by suppressing looseness or lifting of the lower part of the side flap (17).
[0054] In addition, the disposable diaper (1A) of Example 2 has a weak structure (40) formed on the periphery edge of the cut-out portion (30) formed in the fixed portion (21). The weak structure (40) suppresses the rigidity of the fixed portion (21). Because of this, the part of the fixed portion (21) where the weak structure (40) is formed can be deformed more easily than the part where the weak structure (40) is not formed. Therefore, when the side flap portion (17) is pulled and a wrinkle (S) is formed on the side flap portion (17) centered on the cut-out portion (30), the part of the fixed portion (21) where the weak structure (40) is formed, in other words, the lower region (α) of the fixed portion (21), can be easily deformed. As a result, the periphery edge of the cut-out portion (30) can be deformed to follow the body of the wearer (P), thereby improving the fit of the diaper body (10).
[0055] Additionally, the weak structure (40) formed in the fixed part (21) and suppressing the rigidity of the periphery edge of the cut-out part (30) is not limited to being composed of a plurality of cut lines (41). The weak structure (40) is configured to suppress the rigidity of the fixed part (21) of the periphery edge of the cut-out part (30). That is, for example, the weak structure (40A) may be formed by not forming the fixed part (21) in the lower side (crotch side, wearer (P)'s leg side) of the straight line (L) connecting the location where the cut-out part (30) is formed and the location where the eye mark part (25) is formed, as in the first modified example shown in FIG. 7.
[0056] The fixed part (21) has a weak structure (40A) of the first modified example shown in FIG. 7, so that the area of the fixed part (21) can be reduced compared to the case where the weak structure (40) is formed by, for example, a cut line (41). Because of this, the area of the side flap part (17), which has increased rigidity due to the fixed part (21), is reduced, so that the side flap part (17) can be easily deformed. By doing so, the perimeter edge of the cut part (30) can be deformed to follow the body of the wearer (P), thereby improving the fit of the diaper body (10).
[0057] For the above, the disposable diaper of the present invention has been described based on Examples 1 and 2. However, the specific configuration is not limited to these examples, and changes in design, combinations of each example, or additions are permitted as long as they do not deviate from the gist of the invention related to each claim.
[0058] For example, as in the cutout (30A) of the first variant shown in FIG. 8, the length of the indentation (W1) extending inward in the width direction (E) from the outer side edge (21a) of the fixing part (21) in the width direction (E) may be set longer than that of the cutout (30) of Example 1. In this case, the area of the fixing part (21) of the fastening tape (20) can be made smaller than when the cutout (30) of Example 1 is formed. Thus, the area of the side flap part (17), whose rigidity is increased by the fixing part (21), can be made smaller, just as in the case where the weak structure (40A) of the first variant is formed to suppress the rigidity of the perimeter edge part of the cutout (30). Because of this, the side flap portion (17) can be easily deformed so that the perimeter edge portion of the cut-out portion (30A) is deformed to follow the body of the wearer (P), thereby improving the fit of the diaper body (10).
[0059] Also, in the disposable diaper (1) of Example 1, an example was shown in which the eye mark (25) formed on the protruding piece (22) is formed by protruding the outer edge portion (22a) of the protruding piece (22) outward in the width direction (E). However, the eye mark (25) only needs to be able to induce an assistant to grasp the location where the eye mark (25) is formed. For this reason, the eye mark (25) may be formed, for example, by applying color to the upper part of the outer edge portion (22a) of the protruding piece (22).
[0060] Also, the location where the eye mark (25) is formed is not limited to the upper part of the outer edge portion (22a) of the protruding piece (22) (the upper right corner portion of the protruding piece (22)), and can be formed at any location where it is desirable for an assistant to hold it.
[0061] In addition, in the disposable diaper (1) of Example 1, an example was shown in which the side flap portion (17) is formed by laminating the top sheet (11) and the back sheet (12), with the top sheet (11) serving as the surface sheet and the back sheet (12) serving as the back sheet. However, the configuration of the side flap portion (17) is not limited to this. For example, the surface sheet may be composed of the top sheet (11) and the gathered sheet (14) placed on both sides of the top sheet (11), and the gathered sheet (14) and the back sheet (12) may be laminated to form the side flap portion (17).
