Abstract
Description
Technology Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a power equipment diagnostic device, and more specifically, to a device for diagnosing not only the presence and location of partial discharge in a power equipment but also the cause of the occurrence. Background Technology
[0003] In general, power equipment such as ultra-high voltage cables, junction boxes, and gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) generates partial discharge (PD) due to abnormalities in internal insulators, and the occurrence of such partial discharge can cause defects in power equipment, such as causing deterioration inside the power equipment.
[0004] Partial discharge refers to an electrical discharge within an insulator filling the space between electrodes, and can be described as a phenomenon in which an original gas becomes ionized upon receiving very high energy.
[0005] The partial discharge signal has the characteristic that as the applied voltage increases, the magnitude and number gradually increase, and after the voltage reaches a maximum value, it disappears, and as the polarity of the voltage changes, the discharge starts again in the negative region and after reaching a maximum value, it disappears.
[0006] Partial discharge patterns can be classified into internal discharge, surface discharge, corona discharge, and internal discharge in electrical trees. In particular, internal discharge can be a factor affecting the lifespan of insulating materials.
[0007] The causes of partial discharge may include the presence of many impurities within the insulator, the formation of voids within the insulator, or the formation of electrical trees.
[0008] In addition, if partial discharge occurs in a transformer, electrical pulse currents and accompanying ultrasound may be generated.
[0009] Methods for detecting such partial discharges include the amperometric method, which detects current pulses caused by partial discharge, and the acoustic method, which detects ultrasonic signals by installing ultrasonic sensors on the transformer enclosure. Additionally, a method combining both the acoustic and amperometric methods to determine internal discharge is also used.
[0010] Measuring such partial discharge has the advantage of enabling early detection of winding deterioration, insulating oil deterioration, and insulation breakdown caused by partial discharge through a diagnostic device.
[0011] However, conventional diagnostic devices did not take into account that partial discharge signals can be affected by environmental factors (temperature, humidity, contamination levels, power consumption, etc.) occurring within power equipment. Consequently, conventional diagnostic devices could not accurately identify the cause of partial discharge, and there was a problem in that maintenance based on the cause of the partial discharge could not be performed. The problem to be solved
[0013] To solve the aforementioned problems, the present invention aims to provide a power equipment diagnostic device capable of identifying the cause of partial discharge and performing maintenance and repair according to the cause of partial discharge when diagnosing partial discharge of power equipment.
[0014] The technical problems to be solved by the present invention are not limited to those mentioned above, and other technical problems not mentioned will be clearly understood by those skilled in the art to which the present invention belongs from the description below. means of solving the problem
[0016] To solve these problems, the present invention provides a power device diagnostic device comprising: an information acquisition unit for acquiring power consumption information of a load connected to a power device; a sensing unit for detecting partial discharge of a plurality of detection targets included inside the power device, sensing at least one of a first temperature of the plurality of detection targets, a second temperature and humidity around the plurality of detection targets, and sensing the amount of dust around the plurality of detection targets; a calculation unit for calculating the degree of contamination of the plurality of detection targets based on the amount of dust; and a judgment unit for determining whether and where partial discharge has occurred, and using at least one of the first temperature, the second temperature and humidity, and at least one of the degree of contamination and power consumption as diagnostic information, analyzing the correlation between the partial discharge and the diagnostic information, and determining the cause of the partial discharge according to the correlation.
[0017] Here, the sensing unit can detect partial discharge and a first temperature of a plurality of sensing targets included inside a power device, and detect a second temperature, humidity, and amount of dust around the plurality of sensing targets.
[0018] In addition, the judgment unit can use the first temperature, second temperature, humidity, degree of contamination, and power consumption as diagnostic information to analyze the correlation between the partial discharge and the diagnostic information, respectively, and determine the cause of the partial discharge according to the correlation.
[0019] In addition, the power device diagnostic device of the present invention may further include a notification unit that provides partial discharge information, including the location of the partial discharge and the cause of the partial discharge, when it is determined that a partial discharge has occurred.
[0020] In addition, the notification unit can provide maintenance information based on the cause of partial discharge.
[0021] In addition, the notification unit may request verification of the insulation status of the detection target if the cause of the partial discharge is the first temperature, request verification of the ventilation status of the power equipment if the cause of the partial discharge is the second temperature and humidity, request dust removal from the detection target if the cause of the partial discharge is contamination, and request capacity expansion or load distribution of the power equipment if the cause of the partial discharge is power consumption.
[0022] Additionally, the sensing unit may include a partial discharge sensor that detects partial discharge and outputs a first sensing signal, a first temperature sensor that detects a first temperature and outputs a second sensing signal, a second temperature sensor that detects a second temperature and outputs a third sensing signal, a humidity sensor that detects humidity and outputs a fourth sensing signal, and a dust collection sensor that detects the amount of dust and outputs a fifth sensing signal.
[0023] In addition, the judgment unit can compare a first signal pattern for a Gen 1 sensing signal with a plurality of previously stored partial discharge patterns, and determine that it is a partial discharge if the similarity of at least one of the first signal pattern and the plurality of partial discharge patterns is greater than or equal to a first reference value.
[0024] In addition, the output unit can calculate the degree of contamination of a detection target by performing linear regression analysis on the amount of dust detected by the dust collection sensor and the contamination information of the detection target that has been measured.
[0025] In addition, the judgment unit can calculate a correlation value indicating the degree of correlation between partial discharge and diagnostic information by comparing the first signal pattern with the second signal pattern for the second sensing signal, the third signal pattern for the third sensing signal, the fourth signal pattern for the fourth sensing signal, the contamination pattern for the contamination level, and the usage pattern for the power usage level, respectively.
[0026] In addition, the judgment unit may select diagnostic information in which the correlation value is greater than or equal to the second reference value as the cause of partial discharge.
[0027] In addition, the judgment unit can predict the timing and frequency of partial discharge occurrence by analyzing diagnostic information in a time series where the correlation value is greater than or equal to the second reference value. Effects of the invention
[0029] According to the present invention, by diagnosing whether partial discharge has occurred within a power device and displaying status information, there is an advantage in that the power device can be maintained and repaired before deterioration and insulation conditions worsen, thereby reducing the cost incurred from replacing the power device.
[0030] In addition, according to the present invention, when diagnosing partial discharge of a power device, the cause of the partial discharge can be identified, and there is an advantage in being able to perform maintenance and repair according to the cause of the partial discharge.
[0031] The effects of the present invention are not limited to those mentioned above, and other unmentioned effects will be clearly understood by those skilled in the art from the description below. Brief explanation of the drawing

[0035] Therefore, the embodiments described in this specification and the configurations illustrated in the drawings are merely the most preferred embodiments of the present invention and do not represent all of the technical ideas of the present invention; thus, it should be understood that various equivalents and modifications that can replace them may exist at the time of filing this application.
[0036] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention are described in detail with reference to the attached drawings so that those skilled in the art can easily implement the present invention.
[0038] FIG. 1 is a schematic block diagram of a power device diagnostic device according to an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a detailed block diagram of a sensing unit of a power device diagnostic device according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0039] The power equipment (100) may represent various devices and power transmission and distribution facilities. For example, the power equipment (100) may include at least one of a circuit breaker and a transformer.
[0040] Here, partial discharge (PD) may occur within the power device (100). That is, as a high electric field is concentrated in a specific part of the power device (100), partial discharge may occur in that part. For example, partial discharge may include at least one of corona discharge, floating discharge, surface discharge, and void discharge. As a result, deterioration may progress at the location where the partial discharge occurs. Furthermore, as partial discharge occurs repeatedly, insulation breakdown may occur in the power device (100), which may cause failure of the power device (110).
[0041] A power device diagnostic device according to an embodiment of the present invention may be located inside or outside a power device (100) and may determine whether partial discharge has occurred in the power device (100), the location, and the cause of the partial discharge.
[0042] As illustrated in FIG. 1, a power device diagnostic device according to an embodiment of the present invention may be configured to include an information acquisition unit (110), a detection unit (120), a calculation unit (130), a judgment unit (140), and a notification unit (150) as a device for diagnosing a power device (100).
[0043] The information acquisition unit (110) can acquire information on the power consumption of a load connected to a power device (100). Here, the information acquisition unit (110) can acquire information on the power consumption of a load from an external device, such as a SCADA system that monitors the power consumption of a load, via wired or wireless communication.
[0044] As illustrated in FIG. 2, the sensing unit (120) can detect partial discharge (PD) and a first temperature of a detection target (101) included inside a power device (100), and can detect a second temperature, humidity, and amount of dust around the detection target (101).
[0045] Here, the detection target (101) may exist in multiple locations within the power device (100) as a part where partial discharge frequently occurs within the power device (100).
[0046] The detection unit (120) may be configured to include a partial discharge sensor (121), a first temperature sensor (122), a second temperature sensor (123), a humidity sensor (124), and a dust collection sensor (125).
[0047] The partial discharge sensor (121) can detect the partial discharge of the detection target (101) in real time and output the first sensing signal to the judgment unit (140).
[0048] The partial discharge sensor (121) may include at least one of an Ultra High Frequency (UHF) sensor and a High Frequency Current Transformer (HFCT) sensor.
[0049] Here, the partial discharge sensor (121) can be placed inside and outside the power device (100), respectively.
[0050] A partial discharge sensor (121) placed inside a power device (100) can output a first sensing signal according to electromagnetic waves generated inside the power device (110). At this time, when partial discharge occurs in the power device (100), the intensity of the first sensing signal can increase rapidly.
[0051] A partial discharge sensor (121) placed outside the power device (100) can output a first sensing signal according to electromagnetic waves generated outside the power device (110). At this time, the intensity of the first sensing signal may increase rapidly due to external factors.
[0052] The first temperature sensor (122) can detect the first temperature of the detection target (101) in real time and output a second sensing signal according to the first temperature to the judgment unit (140), and the second temperature sensor (123) can detect the second temperature around the detection target (101) in real time and output a third sensing signal according to the second temperature.
[0053] Here, the first temperature sensor (122) and the second temperature sensor (123) may be infrared temperature measuring sensors, but are not limited thereto.
[0054] The humidity sensor (124) detects the humidity around the detection target (101) and can output a fourth sensing signal according to the humidity to the judgment unit (140).
[0055] The dust collection sensor (125) can detect the amount of dust around the detection target (101) in real time and output a fifth sensing signal according to the amount of dust to the output unit (130). For example, the collection sensor (125) can detect the amount of dust around the detection target (101) by first adsorbing dust from the atmosphere inside the power device (100) and measuring the resistivity (conductivity) of the adsorbed dust.
[0056] The sensing unit (120) can transmit a sensing signal to the calculation unit (130) and the judgment unit (140) by performing wireless communication such as BLE (Bluetooth low energy), NFC (near field communication), or Zigbee, or by connecting through a communication line to perform wired communication.
[0057] The calculation unit (130) can calculate the degree of contamination of the detection target (101) based on the amount of dust around the detection target (101).
[0058] The power device (100) may be inspected regularly, for example, at least once a year. At this time, the amount of dust (contamination information) attached to the surface of the inspection target (101) can be measured and recorded.
[0059] Here, the calculation unit (130) can calculate the degree of contamination of the detection target (101) by performing linear regression analysis on the daily amount of dust in the atmosphere detected by the dust collection sensor (125) and the contamination information on the surface of the inspection target (101) that has been measured. Specifically, since the degree of contamination of the inspection target (101) varies depending on the type and location of the inspection target (101) even with the same amount of dust in the atmosphere, the degree of contamination of the detection target (101) according to the daily amount of dust in the atmosphere can be predicted based on the contamination information measured during the regular inspection.
[0060] The judgment unit (140) can determine whether a partial discharge has occurred and the location based on the first sensing signal output by the partial discharge sensor (121).
[0061] Specifically, the judgment unit (140) can compare a first signal pattern for a first sensing signal output by a partial discharge sensor (121) with a plurality of stored partial discharge patterns, and determine that it is a partial discharge if the similarity between at least one of the first signal pattern and the plurality of partial discharge patterns is greater than or equal to a first reference value.
[0062] Here, a plurality of partial discharge patterns may include at least one of a corona discharge pattern, a floating discharge pattern, a surface discharge pattern, and a void discharge pattern. Additionally, these partial discharge patterns may be stored in memory.
[0063] For example, the judgment unit (140) can determine that it is a corona discharge if the similarity between the first signal pattern and the corona discharge pattern is 70% or more, and can determine that it is a surface discharge if the similarity between the first signal pattern and the surface discharge pattern is 70% or more.
[0064] Here, the judgment unit (140) can determine whether the first sensing signal is due to partial discharge or due to external factors.
[0065] The judgment unit (140) can store location information of the detection target (101) equipped with the partial discharge sensor (121) in memory, and can determine the location of partial discharge occurrence based on this location information.
[0066] The judgment unit (140) can analyze the correlation between partial discharge and diagnostic information using the first temperature, second temperature, humidity, degree of contamination, and power consumption as diagnostic information. Then, it can determine the cause of partial discharge based on the correlation.
[0067] Here, if the insulator of the detection target (101) is deformed or contains impurities, the first temperature of the detection target (101) may rise, and partial discharge may occur. Additionally, if the ventilation capacity of the power device (100) is reduced, the second temperature and humidity around the detection target (101) may rise, and partial discharge may occur. Furthermore, if the degree of contamination on the surface of the insulator of the detection target (101) increases, the insulation performance may deteriorate, and partial discharge may occur. Additionally, if the power usage of the load increases, the power device (100) may generate heat, and partial discharge may occur.
[0068] The judgment unit (140) analyzes the first signal pattern and, if it determines that partial discharge has occurred, compares the first signal pattern with the second signal pattern for the second sensing signal. Here, the second sensing signal is a signal corresponding to the first temperature of the detection target (101).
[0069] And, the judgment unit (140) calculates a correlation value indicating the degree of correlation between the partial discharge and the first temperature. Specifically, when the partial discharge shows an increasing trend, if the first temperature also shows an increasing trend in response, the correlation value between the partial discharge and the first temperature can be calculated to be relatively high.
[0070] The judgment unit (140) analyzes the first signal pattern and, if it determines that partial discharge has occurred, compares the first signal pattern with the third signal pattern for the third sensing signal. Here, the third sensing signal is a signal based on the second temperature around the power device (100).
[0071] And, the judgment unit (140) calculates a correlation value indicating the degree of correlation between the partial discharge and the second temperature. Specifically, when the partial discharge shows an increasing trend, if the second temperature also shows an increasing trend in response, the correlation value between the partial discharge and the second temperature can be calculated to be relatively high.
[0072] The judgment unit (140) analyzes the first signal pattern and, if it determines that partial discharge has occurred, compares the first signal pattern with the fourth signal pattern for the fourth sensing signal. Here, the fourth sensing signal is a signal based on the humidity around the power device (100).
[0073] And, the judgment unit (140) calculates a correlation value indicating the degree of correlation between partial discharge and humidity. Specifically, when partial discharge shows an increasing trend, if humidity also shows an increasing trend in response, the correlation value between partial discharge and humidity can be calculated to be relatively high.
[0074] The judgment unit (140) analyzes the first signal pattern and, if it determines that partial discharge has occurred, compares the first signal pattern with the contamination pattern for the contamination level.
[0075] And, the judgment unit (140) calculates a correlation value indicating the degree of correlation between partial discharge and contamination. Specifically, when partial discharge shows an increasing trend, if contamination also shows an increasing trend in response, the correlation value between partial discharge and contamination can be calculated to be relatively high.
[0076] The judgment unit (140) analyzes the first signal pattern and, if it determines that partial discharge has occurred, compares the first signal pattern with the power usage pattern of the load.
[0077] And, the judgment unit (140) calculates a correlation value indicating the degree of correlation between partial discharge and power consumption. Specifically, when partial discharge shows an increasing trend, if power consumption also shows an increasing trend in response, the correlation value between partial discharge and power consumption can be calculated to be relatively high.
[0078] The judgment unit (140) can select diagnostic information with a correlation value greater than or equal to a second reference value as the cause of partial discharge. For example, if there is no correlation at all, the correlation value can be set to 0, and if the correlation is highest, it can be selected as 1, and among these diagnostic information, diagnostic information with a correlation value of 0.7 or higher can be selected as the cause of partial discharge.
[0079] The judgment unit (140) may determine the cause of partial discharge by storing the second to fourth signal patterns, contamination patterns, and usage patterns in memory when partial discharge occurs and when it does not, respectively, and by comparing and analyzing these patterns with patterns received from the information acquisition unit (110) and the detection unit (120).
[0080] The judgment unit (140) can predict the timing and frequency of partial discharge by analyzing diagnostic information in a time series in which the correlation value is greater than or equal to the second reference value. For example, if the diagnostic information in which the correlation value is greater than or equal to the second reference value is power consumption, the timing and frequency of partial discharge can be predicted by observing the trend of change in power consumption over time.
[0081] The notification unit (150) can provide partial discharge information including the location of the partial discharge and the cause of the partial discharge when it is determined that a partial discharge has occurred.
[0082] Here, the notification unit (130) may include, as a display device, a liquid crystal display (LCD), a light emitting diode (LED) display, an organic light emitting diode (OLED) display, a micro electro mechanical systems (MEMS) display and an electronic paper display.
[0083] In addition, the notification unit (150) can provide maintenance information based on the cause of partial discharge.
[0084] Specifically, if the cause of the partial discharge is the first temperature, the notification unit (150) may request a check of the insulation status of the detection target (101). Additionally, if the cause of the partial discharge is the second temperature and humidity, the notification unit (150) may request a check of the ventilation status of the power device (100). Additionally, if the cause of the partial discharge is the degree of contamination, the notification unit (150) may request dust removal from the detection target (101). Additionally, if the cause of the partial discharge is power consumption, the notification unit (150) may request an increase in capacity or load distribution of the power device (100).
[0085] As such, the power equipment diagnostic device according to an embodiment of the present invention has the advantage of reducing costs incurred by replacing power equipment by diagnosing whether partial discharge has occurred within the power equipment and displaying status information, thereby enabling maintenance and repair of the power equipment before the deterioration and insulation condition of the power equipment worsen.
[0086] In addition, the power equipment diagnostic device according to an embodiment of the present invention has the advantage of being able to identify the cause of partial discharge when diagnosing partial discharge of power equipment, and to perform maintenance and repair according to the cause of partial discharge.
[0088] FIG. 3 is a flowchart of a power device diagnosis method according to an embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 4 is a flowchart of a method for determining whether and where partial discharge occurs as a power device diagnosis method according to an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 5 is a flowchart of a method for determining the cause of partial discharge as a power device diagnosis method according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0089] Hereinafter, a method for diagnosing power equipment according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 5, but details identical to those described above will be omitted.
[0090] First, referring to FIG. 3, an information acquisition unit (110) acquires power usage information of a load connected to a power device (100) (S100).
[0091] Next, the detection unit (120) detects a partial discharge (PD) and a first temperature of a detection target (101) included inside the power device (100), and detects a second temperature, humidity, and amount of dust around the detection target (101) (S200). Here, the detection target (101) may exist in multiple locations within the power device (100) as a part where partial discharge frequently occurs inside the power device (100).
[0092] Specifically, the partial discharge sensor (121) detects the partial discharge of the detection target (101) in real time and outputs the first sensing signal to the judgment unit (140).
[0093] Additionally, the first temperature sensor (122) detects the first temperature of the detection target (101) in real time and outputs a second sensing signal according to the first temperature to the judgment unit (140), and the second temperature sensor (123) detects the second temperature around the detection target (101) in real time and outputs a third sensing signal according to the second temperature.
[0094] Additionally, the humidity sensor (124) detects the humidity around the detection target (101) and outputs a fourth sensing signal according to the humidity to the judgment unit (140).
[0095] Additionally, the dust collection sensor (125) detects the amount of dust around the detection target (101) in real time and outputs a fifth sensing signal according to the amount of dust to the calculation unit (130).
[0096] Next, the calculation unit (130) calculates the degree of contamination of the detection target (101) based on the amount of dust around the detection target (101) (S300).
[0097] Here, the output unit (130) can calculate the degree of contamination of the detection target (101) by performing linear regression analysis on the daily amount of dust in the atmosphere detected by the dust collection sensor (125) and the contamination information of the surface of the inspection target (101) that has been measured.
[0098] Next, the judgment unit (140) determines whether a partial discharge has occurred and the location based on the first sensing signal output from the partial discharge sensor (121) (S400).
[0099] Specifically, referring to FIG. 4, a judgment unit (140) calculates a similarity by comparing a first signal pattern for a first sensing signal output by a partial discharge sensor (121) with a plurality of previously stored partial discharge patterns (S410). Then, if the similarity between the first signal pattern and at least one of the plurality of partial discharge patterns is greater than or equal to a first reference value (S420), it is determined that a partial discharge has occurred (S430), and if it is less than the first reference value (S420), it is determined that a partial discharge has not occurred (S440).
[0100] Additionally, the judgment unit (140) can store location information of the detection target (101) equipped with the partial discharge sensor (121) in memory, and can determine the location of partial discharge occurrence based on this location information.
[0101] Next, the judgment unit (140) analyzes the correlation between the partial discharge and the diagnostic information using the first temperature, second temperature, humidity, contamination level, and power consumption as diagnostic information (S500). Then, it determines the cause of the partial discharge based on the correlation (S600).
[0102] Specifically, referring to FIG. 5, when the judgment unit (140) analyzes the first signal pattern and determines that partial discharge has occurred (S430), the first signal pattern is compared with the second to fourth signal patterns for the second to fourth sensing signals, the contamination pattern, and the usage pattern, respectively, to calculate the correlation values between these patterns.
[0103] Next, the judgment unit (140) selects diagnostic information in which the calculated correlation value is greater than or equal to the second reference value (S510) as the cause of partial discharge (S610), and does not select diagnostic information in which the correlation value is less than the second reference value (S510) as the cause of partial discharge (S620).
[0104] Next, referring to FIG. 3, if the notification unit (150) determines that partial discharge has occurred, it provides partial discharge information including the location of partial discharge and the cause of partial discharge, and maintenance information according to the cause of partial discharge (S700).
[0105] As such, the power equipment diagnostic method according to an embodiment of the present invention has the advantage of reducing costs incurred by replacing power equipment by diagnosing whether partial discharge has occurred within the power equipment and displaying status information, thereby maintaining and repairing the power equipment before the deterioration and insulation condition of the power equipment worsen.
[0106] In addition, the power equipment diagnostic method according to an embodiment of the present invention has the advantage of being able to identify the cause of partial discharge when diagnosing partial discharge of power equipment, and to perform maintenance and repair according to the cause of partial discharge.
[0108] The above detailed description is illustrative of the present invention. Furthermore, the foregoing merely indicates and describes preferred embodiments of the present invention, and the present invention may be used in various other combinations, modifications, and environments. That is, modifications or alterations are possible within the scope of the concept of the invention disclosed herein, the scope equivalent to the written disclosure, and / or the scope of the art or knowledge. Claim 8 A power device diagnostic device according to claim 7, wherein the judgment unit compares a first signal pattern for the first sensing signal with a plurality of pre-stored partial discharge patterns, and determines that it is a partial discharge if the similarity between at least one of the first signal pattern and the plurality of partial discharge patterns is greater than or equal to a first reference value. Claim 9 In claim 7, the power device diagnostic device, wherein the output unit calculates the degree of contamination of the detection target by performing linear regression analysis on the amount of dust detected by the dust collection sensor and the contamination information of the detection target that has been measured. Claim 10 A power device diagnostic device according to claim 8, wherein the judgment unit compares the first signal pattern with the second signal pattern for the second sensing signal, the third signal pattern for the third sensing signal, the contamination pattern for the contamination level, and the usage pattern for the power usage level, respectively, and calculates a correlation value indicating the degree of correlation between the partial discharge and diagnostic information. Claim 11 In claim 10, the power device diagnostic device in which the judgment unit selects the diagnostic information, in which the correlation value is greater than or equal to the second reference value, as the cause of the partial discharge. Claim 12 In claim 10, the power device diagnostic device that predicts the timing and frequency of occurrence of the partial discharge by the judgment unit analyzing the diagnostic information in a time series in which the correlation value is greater than or equal to the second reference value.
