Abstract
Description
Technology Field
[0001] The present invention relates to an air conditioner, and more specifically, to an air conditioner comprising a pump that heat exchanges water and a refrigerant and forms a flow of water. Background Technology
[0002] Air conditioners for controlling the temperature of indoor spaces may utilize the flow and phase change of refrigerant. However, when refrigerant flows into the indoor space, the amount of refrigerant used increases, and there are concerns regarding refrigerant leakage.
[0003] To solve the above problem, an air conditioner that sends water, which has been heat-exchanged with refrigerant, into the indoor space through water pipes can be used.
[0004] A pump may be connected to the water piping to send water into the indoor space, and such a pump may be placed inside the outdoor unit. The pump placed inside the outdoor unit may be located in a space separated from the area where the outdoor unit fan is located. If airflow is not active in the area where the pump is located, excessive heat may be generated in the control box that operates the pump. If the heat generated in the control box cannot be quickly dissipated to the outside, problems such as pump malfunction may occur due to overheating of the pump.
[0005] Furthermore, the area where the pump is installed may be a space susceptible to moisture ingress due to surrounding water piping and the configuration of the water-refrigerant heat exchanger. In such a space, moisture can easily enter the interior of the control box, which can also cause the pump to malfunction.
[0006] European registered patent EP1701431B1 discloses that a control box mounted on a pump dissipates heat generated from a printed circuit board through a cover positioned outside the housing. Although it discloses that heat is released by forming the cover with a metal material, this does not include an effective heat dissipation structure, and problems related to moisture ingress may still exist. The problem to be solved
[0007] The problem that the present invention aims to solve is to provide an air conditioner including a pump device capable of rapidly dissipating heat generated in a control box even in areas where air flow is not active.
[0008] Another objective of the present invention is to provide an air conditioner including a pump device capable of efficiently blocking external moisture or water from entering the control box.
[0009] The problems of the present invention are not limited to those mentioned above, and other unmentioned problems will be clearly understood by those skilled in the art from the description below. means of solving the problem
[0010] To achieve the above objective, an air conditioner according to an embodiment of the present invention includes an outdoor unit and an indoor unit connected to the outdoor unit by a water pipe.
[0011] The outdoor unit comprises a compressor for compressing refrigerant, a first outdoor heat exchanger for heat exchange between the refrigerant discharged from the compressor and air, a second outdoor heat exchanger for heat exchange between the refrigerant discharged from the compressor and water, and a pump assembly for forming the flow of water flowing through the second outdoor heat exchanger.

[0016] A heat-generating element is disposed on the printed circuit board, and the heat dissipation protrusion is disposed on the lower side of the printed circuit board where the heat-generating element is disposed, so that the part of the printed circuit board where heat is mainly generated can be quickly transferred to a heat sink.
[0017] The second housing comprises a second housing plate forming the communication hole and a heat sink fixing part that protrudes from the second housing plate in the direction in which the heat sink is positioned and fixes the position of the heat sink, so that the heat sink can be stably fixed.
[0018] The heat sink fixing portion includes an extension portion extending from the outer circumference of the second housing plate in the direction in which the heat sink is positioned, and a bending portion that is bent vertically at the end of the extension portion to fix the position of the heat sink, thereby effectively blocking moisture from penetrating into the portion where the heat sink is positioned.
[0019] The above bending portion is arranged parallel to the second housing plate, the bending portion is arranged to be in contact with the second surface of the heat dissipation plate, and the second housing plate is arranged to be in contact with the first surface of the heat dissipation plate, so that moisture can be prevented from penetrating into the housing through the area where the bending portion and the second housing come into contact.
[0020] In the first housing and the second housing, a hole is formed in which a connector connected to an external wire is disposed, and in the first housing and the second housing, a sealing member is disposed between the hole and the connector to seal the space between them, thereby preventing moisture from penetrating into the housing through the portion where the connector is disposed.
[0021] The above heat sink is insert-molded into the second housing, so that the heat sink can be mounted on the housing and moisture can be prevented from penetrating into the housing through the portion where the heat sink is placed.

[0024] One of the first perimeter wall and the second perimeter wall has a fastening projection formed that protrudes in a direction facing each other, and the other of the first perimeter wall and the second perimeter wall has a fastening groove into which the fastening projection is inserted, thereby preventing moisture from penetrating into the part where the first housing and the second housing come into contact.
[0025] A hook protruding in the direction facing the outer surface is disposed on one of the first perimeter wall and the second perimeter wall, and a hanger having a hook hole into which the hook is inserted is disposed on the other of the first perimeter wall and the second perimeter wall, and when the hook is inserted into the hook hole, the fastening projection is inserted into the fastening groove, so that the first housing and the second housing can be stably joined.
[0026] The outdoor unit includes a partition plate that separates a heat exchange chamber in which the outdoor heat exchanger is placed from a machine room in which the compressor and the second outdoor heat exchanger are placed, and the pump is positioned inside the machine room between the compressor and the second outdoor heat exchanger so that the pump is placed in an area where air flow is not active. At this time, the control box can be rapidly cooled through the heat sink structure.
[0027] The above water pipe is extended to connect the pump and the second outdoor heat exchanger inside the outdoor unit, and the water pipe disposed inside the outdoor unit is arranged to pass between the pump and the compressor.
[0028] Specific details of other embodiments are included in the detailed description and drawings. Effects of the invention
[0029] According to the air conditioner of the present invention, one or more of the following effects are present.
[0030] First, since it has a structure that can rapidly cool the heat generated in the control box, it has the advantage of being able to rapidly cool the heat generated in the control box even if it is placed in a space where air flow is relatively small. This can improve the problem of pump malfunction caused by overheating of the control box.
[0031] Second, since it effectively blocks moisture from entering the control box, it has the advantage of improving pump device malfunction issues.
