Abstract
The present disclosure generally relates to a system and method for offloading user equipment, which offloads unicast and / or broadcast / multicast content of user equipment from one broadcast / multicast system to another broadcast / multicast system based on a number of criteria, and vice versa. The system collects one or more data parameters from user equipment in a first network system, identifies a number of user equipment to be offloaded based on the one or more data parameters, determines whether the identified number of user equipment satisfies one or more offloading criteria, and triggers the offloading of the identified number of user equipment from the first network system to a second network system. The system facilitates seamless switching of network systems without any manual intervention by users and provides continuous broadcast / multicast services.
