Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a ladder access restriction device. Background Technology

[0002] Generally, vertical ladders are installed at high locations in industrial sites, such as tall chimneys, gas storage tanks, various other tanks, substations, and bridges, to allow workers to access them.

[0003] Structures such as LNG carriers that carry LNG (liquefied natural gas) and sail at sea to unload LNG at onshore destinations, LNG RVs (Regasification Vessels) that similarly carry LNG and sail at sea to arrive at onshore destinations and then regasify the stored LNG to unload it in the form of natural gas, and LNG FPSOs (Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading) or LNG FSRUs (Floating Storage and Regasification Units) include storage tanks (commonly referred to as 'cargo tanks') capable of withstanding the cryogenic temperatures of LNG.

[0004] These storage tanks feature a structure in which multiple layers of sealing walls and multiple layers of insulation walls are alternately stacked on the inner surface of the tank. Furthermore, the manufacturing process of LNG storage tanks involves numerous tasks requiring the installation of multiple layers of insulation and sealing walls. For example, various operations such as welding, cutting, marking, and insulation installation are performed. Due to the height of these LNG storage tanks, which undergo such diverse operations, they reach tens of meters. Consequently, there are limitations on the entry of large equipment, such as aerial work platforms, into the interior due to structural deformation issues and poor accessibility, and significant difficulties exist in performing high-altitude work directed toward the upper sides. Despite these numerous challenges, when manual labor is required, high-altitude work using ladders must be carried out in parallel.

[0005] However, in the absence of physical means to control access to fixed ladders used for high-altitude work on storage tanks, there was a risk of safety accidents occurring due to unauthorized personnel entering the area. Accordingly, measures are required for liquefied gas storage facilities that ensure no inconvenience to operations while providing safeguards against safety accidents. The problem to be solved

[0008] Additionally, the cover panel may have a plate-shaped panel body, a hook that is folded backward from the top of the panel body and supported by the step, and a through hole located below the hook in the panel body and positioned to face at least one of the plurality of step.

[0009] Additionally, the cover panel may include a first through hole located at a first height and a second through hole located at a second height below the first height.

[0010] In addition, the first through hole and the second through hole can be aligned in a straight line in the vertical direction.

[0011] Additionally, the fixing assembly may include a first support pad positioned at the front of the cover panel and in contact with the through hole, a second support pad positioned at the rear of the cover panel and in contact with the step, and a fixing pin that penetrates the first support pad and the second support pad and is fitted into the step.

[0012] In addition, it may further include a locking means mounted on the lower part of the cover panel to lock the cover panel so that it maintains the state of covering the ladder. Effects of the invention

[0013] A ladder access restriction device according to an embodiment of the present invention can effectively restrict access by personnel other than the manager by covering a certain part of the ladder.

[0014] The ladder access restriction device according to an embodiment of the present invention is easy to install due to its simple structure and can be applied to ladders of various sizes, thereby improving work convenience and efficiency.

[0026] FIG. 1 is a schematic drawing of a facility (5) with a ladder access restriction device (10) installed according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a plan view of the facility (5) of FIG. 1.

[0027] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, a ladder access restriction device (10) according to one embodiment of the present invention can be installed on a ladder (20) for high-altitude work of a facility (5).

[0028] The facility (5) may be one of various storage tanks, chimneys, substations, bridges, and other facilities installed at high altitudes in industrial sites.

[0029] As a specific example, the facility (5) may be equipped as a storage tank for storing liquefied gas fuel, such as liquefied natural gas (LNG) or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). For convenience of explanation, the facility (5) will be described below based on an example in which it is a storage tank for storing liquefied gas fuel.

[0030] The facility (5) is an LNG FPSO (Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading) used to liquefy and store produced natural gas directly at sea and to transfer the stored LNG to an LNG carrier when necessary. It can store LNG unloaded from an LNG carrier at sea and then vaporize the LNG as needed to supply it to onshore demand centers. At this time, the term "liquefied gas" can be used to encompass all gas fuels that are generally stored in a liquid state, such as LNG, LPG, ethylene, ammonia, etc., and cases where they are not in a liquid state due to heating or pressurization can also be expressed as liquefied gas for convenience. This can also be applied to boil-off gas. Also, the term "LNG" can be used for convenience to encompass not only NG (Natural Gas) in a liquid state but also NG in a supercritical state, etc., and boil-off gas generated from such LNG can be used to include not only boil-off gas in a gaseous state but also liquefied boil-off gas.

[0031] According to one embodiment, the facility (5) may include a protective wall (6) covering its outer surface. If a flammable liquid stored in the facility (5) leaks, a fatal accident may occur. To prevent this, the protective wall (6) may be installed to contain the liquid leaked from the facility (5).

[0032] The facility (5) must be inspected for damage and performance degradation of all attached parts, and the worker must visually inspect the facility for damage and performance degradation. Accordingly, stairs, ladders, etc., that allow access to the facility (5) may be installed for the worker's inspection work. For example, a ladder (20) installed vertically may be placed on the outer side of the protective wall (6). The ladder (20) may be placed in at least one location. The location where the ladder (20) is placed and the number of fixed installations are not limited to those shown in the drawing and may be installed differently according to the worker's intention.

[0033] FIG. 3 is a diagram showing the usage state of a ladder access restriction device (10) according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0034] Referring to FIG. 3, the ladder access restriction device (10) covers the front of the ladder (20) to prevent personnel other than workers from entering through the ladder (20).

[0035] At this time, the ladder (20) refers to a standard vertical ladder. Specifically, the ladder (20) may be provided with two shafts (21) whose lower ends are supported on the ground and whose upper ends are supported on a facility (5), and a plurality of stepping stones (22) connecting the two shafts (21). The plurality of stepping stones (22) may be spaced apart vertically at a certain distance from each other between the two shafts (21).

[0036] According to one embodiment, the ladder access restriction device (10) may include a cover panel (100), a fixing assembly (200), and a locking means (300).

[0037] The cover panel (100) is positioned between two shafts (21) and can cover at least one step (22). For example, the cover panel (100) may be formed in the shape of a rectangular plate. The cover panel (100) may have a width smaller than the distance between the two shafts (21). Additionally, the cover panel (100) may be provided with a length longer than its width, so that it extends in a vertical direction. However, it is not limited thereto, and any shape of the cover panel (100) that is positioned on the front of the ladder (20) and covers at least one step (22) can be applied.

[0038] The cover panel (100) can be supported by hooking the hook (120) positioned on the upper part onto the step (22). The user can easily mount the hook (120) of the cover panel (100) on the step (22) by holding the handle (150) positioned on the front of the cover panel (100).

[0039] The fixing assembly (200) can fix the cover panel (100) to the ladder (20). The fixing assembly (200) can pass through the cover panel (100) and be fastened to the step (22) located behind the cover panel (100).

[0040] The locking means (300) can lock the cover panel (100) so that it remains attached to the step (22). The locking means (300) is mounted on the lower part of the cover panel (100) to prevent the cover panel (100) from moving up and down or left and right to detach it from the ladder (20).

[0041] FIG. 4 is an exploded view of the ladder access restriction device (10) of FIG. 3, FIG. 5 is a view of the ladder access restriction device (10) of FIG. 3 from the front direction, FIG. 6 is a view of the ladder access restriction device (10) of FIG. 3 from the rear direction, and FIG. 7 is a view of the ladder access restriction device (10) of FIG. 3 from the side direction.

[0042] Referring to FIGS. 3 to 7, the cover panel (100) can be fixedly installed on the ladder (20) by means of a fixed assembly (200) that penetrates it.

[0043] Among the multiple stepping stones (22) covered by the cover panel (100), a hook (120) may be mounted on the uppermost stepping stone (22), and a locking means (300) may be mounted on the lowermost stepping stone (22).

[0044] According to one embodiment, the cover panel (100) has a plate-shaped panel body (110), and a hook (120), a through hole (130), a locking part (140), and a handle (150) may be disposed on the panel body (110).

[0045] The hook (120) can be supported on the step (22) by bending the upper part of the panel body (110) backward. As a specific example, the hook (120) can be provided in an "L" shape when viewed from the side by protruding from the rear of the panel body (110). The hook (120) can be formed entirely to correspond to the width of the cover body (110) and can form a sufficient contact area when installed on the step (22) to safely maintain the installed state.

[0046] The through hole (130) may be positioned below the hook (120) in the panel body (110) and may be positioned to face at least one of the multiple stepping stones (22). The through hole (130) may be a through hole located on one side of the panel body (110) and extending in the vertical direction. A fixing assembly (200) may be inserted into the through hole (130) and fastened to the stepping stone (22) facing the through hole (130). Thus, the cover panel (100) may be installed on ladders where the gap (L1) between the stepping stones (22) is wider or narrower. That is, the fastening position of the fixing assembly (200) may be formed variably according to the gap (L1) between the stepping stones (22). Thus, the ladder access restriction device (10) can be applied to ladders of various sizes.

[0047] However, the shape of the through hole (130) is not limited to the embodiment shown in the drawing, and any shape that can variably fasten the fixed assembly (200) according to the spacing (L1) of the stepping stones (22) can be applied.

[0048] For example, the through holes (130) may be provided in multiple numbers. The cover panel (100) may have multiple through holes (130) spaced apart in the vertical direction. The multiple through holes (130) may include a first through hole (131) located at a first height in the panel body (110) and a second through hole (132) located at a second height below the first height. Thus, the first through hole (131) and the second through hole (132) may be arranged to face adjacent stepping stones (22) in the vertical direction on the ladder (20). A fixing assembly (200) may be inserted into each of the first through hole (131) and the second through hole (132) and fastened to the stepping stone (22). Accordingly, the cover panel (100) may be stably fixed by forming multiple fastening parts in the vertical direction.

[0049] As another example, the cover panel (100) may have a plurality of through holes (130) spaced apart in the left-right direction. The plurality of through holes (130) may include a pair of first through holes (131) located at a first height in the panel body (110). Thus, the pair of first through holes (131) may be positioned facing a step (22) on the ladder (20). A fixing assembly (200) may be inserted into each of the pair of first through holes (131) and fastened to the step (22). Accordingly, the cover panel (100) may be stably fixed by forming a plurality of fastening parts in the left-right direction.

[0050] As another example, the cover panel (100) may have a plurality of through holes (130) spaced apart in the vertical and horizontal directions. The plurality of through holes (130) may include a pair of first through holes (131) located at a first height and a pair of second through holes (132) located at a second height below the first height. A fixing assembly (200) is inserted into each of the first through holes (131) and second through holes (132) described above and can be fastened to a step (22) facing each through hole, and the cover panel (100) can be more stably fixed by forming a plurality of fastening parts in the vertical and horizontal directions.

[0051] The locking portion (140) is formed at the lower part of the panel body (110) so that a locking means (300) can be mounted thereon. The locking portion (140) may be provided with a through hole through which the locking means (300) can pass, and the locking means (300) may be a lock.

[0052] According to one embodiment, the fixing assembly (200) may include a first support pad (210) and a second support pad (230) positioned at the front and rear of the cover panel (100), respectively, and a fixing pin (220) penetrating them.

[0053] The first support pad (210) is positioned at the front of the cover panel (100) and can come into contact with the through hole (130). The second support pad (230) is positioned at the rear of the cover panel (100) and can come into contact with the step (22).

[0054] Referring to FIGS. 4 and 7, the fixing pin (220) can be fitted into the step (22) while passing through the through hole (130). The fixing pin (220) may be provided as a "U" shaped bolt and may have a closed portion (2201) and a threaded portion (2202).

[0055] When the fixing pin (220) is fastened to the step (22), the closing portion (2201) may be positioned at the front of the panel body (110), and the screw portion (2202) may be positioned at the rear of the panel body (110). A fixing member (231) may be coupled to the screw portion (2202). A first support pad (210) may be interposed between the closing portion (2201) and the panel body (110), and a second support pad (230) may be interposed between the step (22) and the fixing member (231). At this time, the first support pad (210) and the second support pad (230) cover the through hole (130), thereby preventing shaking of the ladder access restriction device (10) due to wind, etc., and allowing the fixing pin (220) and the fixing member (231) to be fixed more firmly.

[0056] The present invention has been described with reference to an embodiment illustrated in the accompanying drawings, but this is merely illustrative, and those skilled in the art will understand that various modifications and equivalent alternative embodiments are possible therefrom. Accordingly, the true scope of protection of the present invention should be determined only by the appended claims. Explanation of the symbols
