[0026] The substrate (SUB) may include a main body part (MP) and an edge part (EP).

[0027] The main body portion (MP) of the substrate (SUB) occupies most of the substrate (SUB), and the edge portion (EP) of the substrate (SUB) may be positioned on one side of the first direction (DR1) of the main body portion (MP) to occupy the edge of the substrate (SUB). In some embodiments, the edge portion (EP) may be positioned only on one side of the first direction (DR1) of the main body portion (MP), but is not limited thereto. For example, the edge portion (EP) may be positioned on both sides of the first direction (DR1) and both sides of the second direction (DR2) of the main body portion (MP) to occupy the edges on both sides of the first direction (DR1) and both sides of the second direction (DR2) of the display device (1).

[0028] The main body (MP) of the substrate (SUB) may include a first surface (MP_1) as one side of the third direction (DR3) and a second surface (MP_2) as the other side of the third direction (DR3) (see FIG. 4 and FIG. 6). The first surface (MP_1) and the second surface (MP_2) may face each other in the third direction (DR3).

[0029] The first surface (MP_1) of the main body (MP) may overlap with a display area (DA) and a portion of a non-display area (NDA). Specifically, the display area (DA) is positioned within the first surface (MP_1), and the non-display area (NDA) is formed to surround the display area (DA), so that a portion of the non-display area (NDA) may overlap with the first surface (MP_1). The first surface (MP_1) of the main body (MP) may be parallel to the upper surface of the substrate (SUB), and the second surface (MP_2) of the main body (MP) may be parallel to the lower surface of the substrate (SUB).

[0030] Referring to FIG. 5, a plurality of pixels (PX) and connecting wires (CL) may be arranged on the first surface (MP_1) of the main body (MP).

A plurality of connecting wires (CL) may be extended toward the edge portion (EP), that is, in the first direction (DR1), and may be disposed spaced apart from each other in the second direction (DR2). Although FIG. 2 is illustrated as having two connecting wires (CL) extending to each of the plurality of pixels (PX), it is obvious that the number of connecting wires (CL) is not limited thereto.

[0033] Referring to FIG. 6, a driving unit (DRV) may be disposed on the second surface (MP_2) of the main body (MP).

[0034] The driving unit (DRV) can function to drive a plurality of pixels (PX). The driving unit (DRV) can be positioned on a second surface (MP_2) facing a first surface (MP_1). As the driving unit (DRV) is positioned on the second surface (MP_2), the number of pixels (PX) positioned on the first surface (MP_1) can be increased, and accordingly, the occupied area of the display region (DA) on the upper surface of the display device (1) can be expanded, and the occupied area of the non-display region (NDA) can be reduced.

[0035] In some embodiments, the driving unit (DRV) may be implemented as a printed circuit board (PCB), but is not limited thereto.

[0036] A second pad (PAD2) placed on the second surface (MP_2) can serve to electrically connect the driving unit (DRV) and the side wiring (100). In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 6, the driving unit (DRV) may be electrically connected to the side wiring (100) by the second pad (PAD2) placed on the edge portion (EP), but is not limited thereto. For example, the driving unit (DRV) may be directly connected to the side wiring (100) of the edge portion (EP) without a separate pad.

[0037] Referring to FIGS. 3 and 4, the edge portion (EP) of the substrate (SUB) may be positioned on one side of the first direction (DR1) of the main body portion (MP). The first upper portion (110a), the first connecting portion (110b), and the first lower portion (110c) may be formed integrally. The first upper portion (110a) may include a first_1 upper portion (110a_1) that overlaps with a first pad (PAD1) placed on a first flat surface (EP_1) and a first_2 upper portion (110a_2) that is in direct contact with a first chamfered surface (EP_4a), and the first lower portion (110c) may include a first_1 lower portion (110c_1) that overlaps with a second pad (PAD2) placed on a third flat surface (EP_3) and a first_2 lower portion (110c_2) that is in direct contact with a second chamfered surface (EP_4b). At least one of the second direction (DR2) width of the first upper portion (110a) and the second direction (DR2) width of the first lower portion (110c) may be larger than the second direction (DR2) width of the first connecting portion (110b). In some embodiments, the second direction (DR2) width of the first upper part (110a) and the second direction (DR2) width of the first lower part (110c) may be larger than the second direction (DR2) width of the first connecting part (110b), but are not limited thereto. For convenience of explanation, the following description focuses on the case where the second direction (DR2) width of the first upper part (110a) and the second direction (DR2) width of the first lower part (110c) are larger than the second direction (DR2) width of the first connecting part (110b).

[0046] The second side wiring (120) may include a second upper portion (120a) adjacent to a plurality of pixels (PX), a second lower portion (120c) adjacent to a driving portion (DRV), and a second connecting portion (120b) disposed between the second upper portion (120a) and the second lower portion (120c) to connect the second upper portion (120a) and the second lower portion (120c). The second upper portion (120a), the second connecting portion (120b), and the second lower portion (120c) may be formed integrally. The second upper portion (120a) may include a second_1 upper portion (120a_1) that overlaps with a first pad (PAD1) placed on a first flat surface (EP_1) and a second_2 upper portion (120a_2) that is in direct contact with a first chamfered surface (EP_4a), and the second lower portion (120c) may include a second_1 lower portion (120c_1) that overlaps with a second pad (PAD2) placed on a third flat surface (EP_3) and a second_2 lower portion (120c_2) that is in direct contact with a second chamfered surface (EP_4b). At least one of the second direction (DR2) width of the second upper portion (120a) and the second direction (DR2) width of the second lower portion (120c) may be larger than the second direction (DR2) width of the second connecting portion (120b). Accordingly, it is necessary to widen the second direction (DR2) of the side wiring (100) near the first_1 corner (DL_1a), the first_2 corner (DL_1b), the second_1 corner (DL_2a), and the second_2 corner (DL_2b) to prevent the side wiring (100) from being disconnected.

[0049] Below, the shape of the first side wiring (110), the shape of the second side wiring (120), and the use of the display device (1) according to one embodiment will be described in detail.

[0050] FIG. 7 is an unfolded view schematically illustrating the first and second surfaces of the substrate body portion of a display device according to an embodiment of FIG. 1. FIG. 8 is a plan view illustrating a tile-type display device formed by a plurality of display devices according to an embodiment.

[0051] If the first surface (MP_1) and second surface (MP_2) of the main body (MP) and the first flat surface (EP_1), second flat surface (EP_2), third flat surface (EP_3), first chamfered surface (EP_4a) and second chamfered surface (EP_4b) of the edge portion (EP) are arranged on a plane parallel to the second flat surface (EP_2) based on FIG. 4, it can be illustrated as in FIG. 7. In other words, when the remaining surfaces excluding the second flat surface (EP_2) of the edge portion (EP) are spread out so as to be placed on a plane parallel to the second flat surface (EP_2), they can be arranged in the order of the second surface (MP_2) of the main body portion (MP), the third flat surface (EP_3) of the edge portion (EP), the second chamfered surface (EP_4b) of the edge portion (EP), the second flat surface (EP_2) of the edge portion (EP), the first chamfered surface (EP_4a) of the edge portion (EP), the first flat surface (EP_1) of the edge portion (EP), and the first surface (MP_1) of the main body portion (MP) based on the third direction (DR3). For convenience of explanation, the first pad (PAD1), the second pad (PAD2), and the connecting wire (CL) are omitted in FIG. 7.

[0052] In this case, a first_1 edge (DL_1a) is defined as the boundary between the first flat surface (EP_1) and the first chamfered surface (EP_4a), a first_2 edge (DL_1b) is defined as the boundary between the first chamfered surface (EP_4a) and the second flat surface (EP_2), a second_1 edge (DL_2a) is defined as the boundary between the second flat surface (EP_2) and the second chamfered surface (EP_4b), and a second_2 edge (DL_2b) is defined as the boundary between the second chamfered surface (EP_4b) and the third flat surface (EP_3). The first_1 edge (DL_1a), the first_2 edge (DL_1b), the second_1 edge (DL_2a), and the second_2 edge (DL_2b) may be straight lines parallel to the second direction (DR2).

[0053] Referring to FIG. 7, the second direction (DR2) width of the first upper part (110a) of the first side wiring (110) is larger than the second direction (DR2) width of the first connecting part (110b), and the second direction (DR2) width of the first lower part (110c) may be larger than the second direction (DR2) width of the first connecting part (110b).

[0054] The second direction (DR2) width of the first upper portion (110a) of the first side wiring (110) may gradually increase in the direction toward one side of the third direction (DR3). In some embodiments, as the maximum width of the second direction (DR2) of the first upper portion (110a), the width (Wa) of one end of the third direction (DR3) is greater than the second direction (DR2) width (Wb) of the first connection portion (110b), and as the minimum width of the second direction (DR2) of the first upper portion (110a), the second direction (DR2) width of the portion in contact with the first connection portion (110b) may be substantially the same as the second direction (DR2) width (Wb) of the first connection portion (110b), but is not limited thereto.

[0055] The second direction (DR2) width of the first lower portion (110b) of the first side wiring (110) may gradually increase in the direction toward the other side of the third direction (DR3). In some embodiments, as the maximum width of the second direction (DR2) of the first lower portion (110b), the width (Wc) of the other end of the third direction (DR3) is greater than the second direction (DR2) width (Wb) of the first connection portion (110b), and as the minimum width of the second direction (DR2) of the first lower portion (110b), the second direction (DR2) width of the portion in contact with the first connection portion (110b) may be substantially the same as the second direction (DR2) width (Wb) of the first connection portion (110b), but is not limited thereto.

[0056] The first upper portion (110a) of the first side wiring (110) corresponds to the second upper portion (120a) of the second side wiring (120), the first connecting portion (110b) corresponds to the second connecting portion (120b), and the first lower portion (110c) corresponds to the second lower portion (120c). In some embodiments, the shape of the first side wiring (110) and the shape of the second side wiring (120) may be substantially the same, but are not limited thereto. For convenience of explanation, the following description will focus on the fact that the shape of the first side wiring (110) and the shape of the second side wiring (120) are identical, and a detailed description of the shape of the second side wiring (120) will be omitted.

[0057] The first upper portion (110a) of the first side wiring (110) can serve to prevent disconnection of the side wiring (100). As described above, the first upper portion (110a) may include a first_1 upper portion (110a_1) that overlaps with the first pad (PAD1) and a first_2 upper portion (110a_2) that does not overlap with the first pad (PAD1). In this case, the boundary between the first_1 upper portion (110a_1) and the first_2 upper portion (110a_2) may be placed on the first flat surface (EP_1), and the boundary between the first_2 upper portion (110a_2) and the first connecting portion (110b) may be placed on the second flat surface (EP_2). In other words, the first_2 upper portion (110a_2) can cover a portion of the first flat surface (EP_1), the entire first chamfered surface (EP_4a), and a portion of the second flat surface (EP_2). Accordingly, the first_2 upper portion (110a_2) can cover the first_1 edge (DL_1a) and the first_2 edge (DL_1b).

[0058] The first connecting portion (110b) may serve to connect the first upper portion (110a) and the first lower portion (110c). The first connecting portion (110b) may be placed on the second flat surface (EP_2). In some embodiments, the first connecting portion (110b) may have a rectangular shape with a constant width in the second direction (DR2), but is not limited thereto.

[0059] The first lower portion (110c) can serve to prevent disconnection of the side wiring (100). As described above, the first lower portion (110c) may include a first_1 lower portion (110c_1) that overlaps with the second pad (PAD2) and a first_2 lower portion (110c_2) that does not overlap with the second pad (PAD2). In this case, the boundary between the first_1 lower portion (110c_1) and the first_2 lower portion (110c_2) may be placed on the third flat surface (EP_3), and the boundary between the first_2 lower portion (110c_2) and the first connecting portion (110b) may be placed on the second flat surface (EP_2). In other words, the 1_2 lower portion (110c_2) can cover part of the 3rd flat surface (EP_3), the entire 2nd chamfered surface (EP_4b), and part of the 2nd flat surface (EP_2). Accordingly, the 1_2 lower portion (110c_2) can cover the 2_1 edge (DL_2a) and the 2_2 edge (DL_2b).

[0060] At the boundary between the first lower portion (110c) and the first connecting portion (110b), the width of the second direction (DR2) of the first lower portion (110c) and the width of the second direction (DR2) of the first connecting portion (110b) may be substantially the same. Accordingly, the width of the second direction (DR2) of the first_2 lower portion (110c_2) covering the second_1 corner (DL_2a) and the second_2 corner (DL_2b) may be greater than the width of the second direction (DR2) of the first connecting portion (110b). In some embodiments, the width of the second direction (DR2) of the first lower portion (110c) may increase toward the other side of the third direction (DR3), but is not limited thereto.

[0061] Meanwhile, the spacing distance between the first side wiring (110) and the second side wiring (120) may vary depending on the location. Specifically, the spacing distance (D1) between the first upper part (110a) of the first side wiring (110) and the second upper part (120a) of the second side wiring (120) may be smaller than the spacing distance (D2) between the first connecting part (110b) and the second connecting part (120b), and the spacing distance (D3) between the first lower part (110c) and the second lower part (120c) may be smaller than the spacing distance (D2) between the first connecting part (110b) and the second connecting part (120b).

[0062] In some embodiments, the separation distance (D1) between the first upper portion (110a) and the second upper portion (120a) may increase along one side of the third direction (DR3), and the separation distance (D3) between the first lower portion (110c) and the second lower portion (120c) may increase along the other side of the third direction (DR3), but is not limited thereto.

[0063] Due to the shape of the first side wiring (110) as described above, the first upper part (110a) has a wide coverage area for the first_1 corner (DL_1a) and the first_2 corner (DL_1b), thereby reducing the probability of a disconnection occurring at the first_1 corner (DL_1a) and the first_2 corner (DL_1b), and the first lower part (110c) has a wide coverage area for the second_1 corner (DL_2a) and the second_2 corner (DL_2b), thereby reducing the probability of a disconnection occurring at the second_1 corner (DL_2a) and the second_2 corner (DL_2b).

[0064] Referring to FIG. 8, a display device (1) according to one embodiment can form a tile-type display that displays a large screen by having a plurality of them arranged in a grid pattern. In this case, the display device (1) according to one embodiment acts as a cell of the tile-type display and displays a part of the screen to be displayed on the tile-type display, so it is necessary to minimize the non-display area (NDA). According to the configuration described above, the display device (1) according to one embodiment can effectively form a tile-type display by minimizing the non-display area (NDA) on the top surface and simultaneously preventing the disconnection of the side wiring (100) arranged on the side.

[0065] Hereinafter, another embodiment of the display device (1) will be described. In the following embodiments, components identical to those in the previously described embodiment will be referred to by the same reference numerals, and redundant descriptions will be omitted or simplified, with the focus on the differences.

[0066] FIG. 9 is an unfolded view schematically illustrating the first and second surfaces of the substrate body portion of a display device according to another embodiment.

[0067] Referring to FIG. 9, the first side wiring (111) and the second side wiring (121) of the display device (1_1) according to the present embodiment may have a shape that is 180° symmetrical. Specifically, the width of the second direction (DR2) of the first upper part (111a) of the first side wiring (111) may be greater than the width of the second direction (DR2) of the first connecting part (111b) and the width of the second direction (DR2) of the first lower part (111c), and the width of the second direction (DR2) of the second side wiring (121) of the second lower part (121c) may be greater than the width of the second direction (DR2) of the second connecting part (121b) and the width of the second direction (DR2) of the second upper part (121a).

[0068] The first side wiring (111) and the second side wiring (121) of the display device (1_1) according to the present embodiment have a shape that is 180° symmetrical, so that the first upper part (111a) of the first side wiring (111) corresponds to the second lower part (121c) of the second side wiring (121), the first connecting part (111b) of the first side wiring (111) corresponds to the second connecting part (121b) of the second side wiring (121), and the first lower part (111c) of the first side wiring (111) corresponds to the second upper part (121a). Since the first side wiring (111) and the second side wiring (121) have substantially the same shape with only the orientation differing, the following description will focus on the first side wiring (111), and a detailed description of the second side wiring (121) will be omitted.

[0069] The second direction (DR2) width of the first upper portion (111a) of the first side wiring (111) may gradually increase in the direction toward one side of the third direction (DR3). In some embodiments, as the maximum second direction (DR2) width of the first upper portion (111a), the width (W1a) of one end of the third direction (DR3) is greater than the second direction (DR2) width (W1b) of the first connection portion (111b), and as the minimum second direction (DR2) width of the first upper portion (111a), the second direction (DR2) width of the portion in contact with the first connection portion (111b) may be substantially the same as the second direction (DR2) width (W1b) of the first connection portion (111b), but is not limited thereto.

[0070] In some embodiments, the second direction (DR2) width (W1b) of the first connection portion (111b) of the first side wiring (111) and the second direction (DR2) width (W1c) of the first lower portion (111c) may be substantially the same, but are not limited thereto.

[0071] Accordingly, the separation distance between the first side wiring (111) and the second side wiring (121) is relatively short enough so that no electrical short occurs, thereby reducing the separation distance (D1', D2', D3') between the first side wiring (111) and the second side wiring (121) overall, and increasing the density of the side wirings placed at the edge portion (EP).

[0072] FIG. 10 is an unfolded view schematically illustrating the first and second surfaces of the substrate body portion of a display device according to another embodiment.

[0073] Referring to FIG. 10, the display device (1_2) according to the present embodiment illustrates that the width of the first side wiring (110) may be greater than the width of the second side wiring (122). Specifically, the shape of the first side wiring (110) according to the present embodiment is substantially the same as the first side wiring (110) according to the embodiment of FIG. 7, and the second direction (DR2) width of the second side wiring (122) according to the present embodiment may be smaller than the second direction (DR2) width of the first upper part (112a) of the first side wiring (112).

[0074] In some embodiments, the second direction (DR2) width (W2a) of the second upper portion (122a) of the second side wiring (122), the second direction (DR2) width (W2b) of the second connection portion (122b), and the second direction (DR2) width (W2c) of the second lower portion (122c) may be substantially the same, but are not limited thereto.

[0075] Accordingly, the separation distance between the first side wiring (110) and the second side wiring (122) is relatively short enough so that a short circuit does not occur, thereby reducing the separation distance (D1``, D2``, D3``) between the first side wiring (112) and the second side wiring (122) overall, and increasing the density of the side wirings placed on the edge portion (EP).

[0076] FIG. 11 is an unfolded view schematically illustrating the first and second surfaces of the substrate body portion of a display device according to another embodiment.

[0077] Referring to FIG. 11, the shape of the first upper part (110a) of the first side wiring (110) of the display device (1_3) according to the present embodiment and the shape of the second upper part (123a) of the second side wiring (123) are symmetrical by 180°, and the shape of the first lower part (110c) of the first side wiring (110) and the shape of the second lower part (123c) of the second side wiring (123) are symmetrical by 180°. Specifically, the width of the second direction (DR2) of the first upper part (110a) of the first side wiring (110) increases as it moves toward one side of the third direction (DR3), the width of the second direction (DR2) of the second upper part (123a) of the second side wiring (123) decreases as it moves toward one side of the third direction (DR3), the width of the second direction (DR2) of the first lower part (110c) of the first side wiring (110) increases as it moves toward the other side of the third direction (DR3), and the width of the second direction (DR2) of the second lower part (123c) of the second side wiring (123) decreases as it moves toward the other side of the third direction (DR3). Since the first side wiring (110) according to the present embodiment is substantially the same as the first side wiring (110) according to the embodiment of FIG. 7, the following description will focus on the second side wiring (123), and a detailed description of the first side wiring (110) will be omitted.

[0078] The width of the second direction (DR2) of the second upper part (123a) decreases as it goes toward one side of the third direction (DR3), but may be larger than the width of the second direction (DR2) of the second connecting part (123b). In some embodiments, as a maximum width in the second direction (DR2) of the second upper portion (123a), the width in the second direction (DR2) (W3a) of the portion in contact with the second connecting portion (123b) is greater than the width in the second direction (DR2) (W3b) of the second connecting portion (123b), and the width in the second direction (DR2) (W3a') of the second upper portion (123a) covering the first_1 corner (DL_1a) is smaller than the width in the second direction (DR2) (W3a) of the portion in contact with the second connecting portion (123b) and may be greater than the width in the second direction (DR2) (W3b) of the second connecting portion (123b), but is not limited thereto. In other words, the width of the second direction (DR2) of the second_2 upper part (123a_2) is largest near the boundary with the second connecting part (123b) and may be smallest near the boundary between the second_2 upper part (123a_2) and the second_1 upper part (123a_1), but the width of the second direction (DR2) of the second_2 upper part (123a_2) near the boundary with the second_1 upper part (123a_1) may be larger than the width of the second direction (DR2) of the second connecting part (123b).

[0079] The second connecting portion (123b) may serve to connect the second upper portion (123a) and the second lower portion (123c). The second direction (DR2) width (W3b) of the second connecting portion (123b) may be smaller than the second direction (DR2) width of the second upper portion (123a) and the second direction (DR2) width of the second lower portion (123c). In some embodiments, the second connecting portion (123b) may have a rectangular shape in which the width of the second direction (DR2) is substantially the same along the third direction (DR3), but is not limited thereto.

[0080] The width of the second direction (DR2) of the second lower part (123c) decreases as it goes toward the other side of the third direction (DR3), but may be larger than the width of the second direction (DR2) of the second connecting part (123b). In some embodiments, as a maximum width of the second direction (DR2) of the second lower portion (123c), the width of the second direction (DR2) (W3c) of the portion in contact with the second connecting portion (123b) is greater than the width of the second direction (DR2) of the second connecting portion (123b) (W3b), and the width of the second direction (DR2) (W3c') of the second lower portion (123c) covering the second_1 corner (DL_2a) is smaller than the width of the second direction (DR2) (W3c) of the portion in contact with the second connecting portion (123b) and may be greater than the width of the second direction (DR2) of the second connecting portion (123b) (W3b), but is not limited thereto. In other words, the width of the second direction (DR2) of the second_2 lower part (123c_2) is largest near the boundary with the second connecting part (120b) and may be smallest near the boundary between the second_2 lower part (123c_2) and the second_1 lower part (123c_1), but the width of the second direction (DR2) of the second_2 lower part (123c_2) near the boundary with the second_1 lower part (123c_1) may be larger than the width of the second direction (DR2) of the second connecting part (123b).

[0081] The separation distance (D1) between the first upper part (110a) and the second upper part (123a) and the separation distance (D3) between the first lower part (110c) and the second lower part (123c) may be smaller than the separation distance (D2) between the first connecting part (110b) and the second connecting part (123b). In some embodiments, the spacing distance (D1``` between the first upper portion (110a) of the first side wiring (110) and the second upper portion (123a) of the second side wiring (123), the spacing distance (D2```) between the first connecting portion (110b) and the second connecting portion (123b), and the spacing distance (D3```) between the first lower portion (110c) and the second lower portion (123c) may each be substantially constant along the third direction (DR3), but are not limited thereto.

[0082] With the configuration described above, the width of the first side wiring (110) and the second side wiring (123) is widened to prevent disconnection, and at the same time, the separation distance between the first side wiring (110) and the second side wiring (123) is relatively short enough so that a short circuit does not occur, thereby reducing the separation distance (D1, D2, D3) between the first side wiring (110) and the second side wiring (123) overall, and increasing the density of the side wiring placed in the edge portion (EP).

[0083] FIG. 12 is an unfolded view schematically illustrating the first and second surfaces of the substrate body portion of a display device according to another embodiment.

[0084] Referring to FIG. 12, the display device (1_4) according to the present embodiment differs from the display device (1) according to FIG. 7 in that the width of the second direction (DR2) of each of the first upper part (114a), the first lower part (114c), the second upper part (124a), and the second lower part (124c) is substantially constant, and other configurations are substantially the same or similar. Specifically, the shape of each of the first upper part (114a), the first lower part (114c), the second upper part (124a), and the second lower part (124c) may be rectangular, but is not limited thereto.

[0085] In some embodiments, the shapes of the first side wiring (114) and the second side wiring (124) may be identical, but are not limited thereto. For convenience of explanation, the shape of the first side wiring (114) will be described below, and the description of the shape of the second side wiring (124) will be omitted.

[0086] The second direction (DR2) width (W4a) of the first upper portion (114a) of the first side wiring (114) may be wider than the second direction (DR2) width (W4b) of the first connection portion (114b). The second direction (DR2) width (W4a) of the first upper portion (114a) may be substantially constant along the third direction (DR3). In other words, at the part in contact with the first connection portion (114b), the second direction (DR2) width (W4a) of the first upper portion (114a) may be larger than the second direction (DR2) width (W4b) of the first connection portion (114b). Accordingly, since the second direction (DR2) width of the first_1 corner (DL_1a) covered by the first upper part (114a) and the second direction (DR2) width of the first_2 corner (DL_1b) are substantially the same, the wire can be prevented more stably.

[0087] The second direction (DR2) width (W4c) of the first lower portion (114c) of the first side wiring (114) may be wider than the second direction (DR2) width (W4b) of the first connection portion (114b). The second direction (DR2) width (W4c) of the first lower portion (114c) may be substantially constant along the third direction (DR3). In other words, at the part in contact with the first connection portion (114b), the second direction (DR2) width (W4c) of the first lower portion (114c) may be larger than the second direction (DR2) width (W4b) of the first connection portion (114b). Accordingly, since the width of the second direction (DR2) of the second_1 corner (DL_2a) covered by the first lower part (114c) and the width of the second direction (DR2) of the second_2 corner (DL_2b) are substantially the same, the wire can be prevented more stably.

[0088] With the configuration described above, the side wiring according to the present embodiment can more reliably prevent disconnection.

[0089] FIG. 13 is an unfolded view schematically illustrating the first and second surfaces of the substrate body portion of a display device according to another embodiment.

[0090] The display device (1_5) according to the present embodiment differs from the display device (1_1) according to the embodiment of FIG. 9 in that the width of the second direction (DR2) of each of the first upper part (115a) of the first side wiring (115) and the second lower part (125c) of the second side wiring (125) has a substantially constant shape along the third direction (DR3) as described in the embodiment of FIG. 12, and other configurations are substantially the same or similar. Specifically, the shape of each of the first upper part (115a) and the second lower part (125c) may be rectangular, but is not limited thereto.

[0091] The display device (1_5) according to the present embodiment can more stably prevent disconnection by having a side wiring shape as described in the display device (1_4) according to the embodiment of FIG. 12.

[0092] FIG. 14 is an unfolded view schematically illustrating the first and second surfaces of the substrate body portion of a display device according to another embodiment.

[0093] The display device (1_6) according to the present embodiment differs from the display device (1_2) according to the embodiment of FIG. 10 in that the width of the first upper part (114a) and the first lower part (114c) of the first side wiring (114) in the second direction (DR2) has a substantially constant shape along the third direction (DR3), and other configurations are substantially the same or similar. Specifically, the shape of the first side wiring (114) according to the present embodiment is substantially the same as the shape of the first side wiring (114) according to the embodiment of FIG. 12, and the shape of the second side wiring (122) according to the present embodiment may be substantially the same as the shape of the second side wiring (122) according to the embodiment of FIG. 10.

[0094] The display device (1_6) according to the present embodiment can more reliably prevent disconnection as described in the display device (1_4) according to the embodiment of FIG. 12.

[0095] FIG. 15 is an unfolded view schematically illustrating the first and second surfaces of the substrate body portion of a display device according to another embodiment.

[0096] Referring to FIG. 15, the display device (1_7) according to the present embodiment differs from the display device (1) according to FIG. 7 in that the width of the second direction (DR2) of each of the first upper part (117a), the first lower part (117c), the second upper part (127a), and the second lower part (127c) increases and then decreases along the third direction (DR3), and other configurations are substantially the same or similar. Specifically, each of the first upper part (117a), the first lower part (117c), the second upper part (127a), and the second lower part (127c) may have a shape similar to a circle, but is not limited thereto.

[0097] In some embodiments, the shapes of the first side wiring (117) and the second side wiring (127) may be identical, but are not limited thereto. For convenience of explanation, the shape of the first side wiring (117) will be described below, and the description of the shape of the second side wiring (127) will be omitted.

[0098] The width of the second direction (DR2) of the first upper part (117a) of the first side wiring (117) may be greater than the width of the second direction (DR2) of the first connection part (117b). In other words, the width of the second direction (DR2) of the first upper part (117a) may have a minimum value at the boundary with the first connection part (117b) and may gradually increase toward one side of the third direction (DR3). In some embodiments, as the maximum width in the second direction (DR2) of the first_2 upper portion (117a_2) of the first side wiring (117), the width in the second direction (DR2) (W7a) of the first_2 upper portion (117a_2) covering the first_1 corner (DL_1a) is greater than the width in the second direction (DR2) (W7b) of the first connection portion (110b), and as the minimum width in the second direction (DR2) of the first_2 upper portion (117a_2), the width in the second direction (DR2) of the portion in contact with the first connection portion (117b) may be substantially the same as the width in the second direction (DR2) (W7b) of the first connection portion (117b), but is not limited thereto.

[0099] Meanwhile, the width of the second direction (DR2) of the first upper part (117a_1) may be smaller than the width of the second direction (DR2) of the first connecting part (117b) depending on the location. In other words, the width of the second direction (DR2) of the first upper part (117a_1) may gradually decrease as it moves toward one side of the third direction (DR3). Accordingly, the second direction (DR2) width (W7a) of the first_1 corner (DL_1a) covered by the first_2 upper part (117a_2) and the second direction (DR2) width of the first_2 corner (DL_1b) are larger than the second direction (DR2) width (W7b) of the first connecting part (117b), thereby preventing the first side wiring (117) from being disconnected, and at the same time, the second direction (DR2) width of the first_1 upper part (117a_1), which has a relatively lower risk of disconnection, can be reduced to reduce the amount of material required to form the first side wiring (117).

In other words, the width of the second direction (DR2) of the first lower part (117c) may have a minimum value at the boundary with the first connection part (117b) and may gradually increase toward the other side of the third direction (DR3). In some embodiments, as the maximum width of the second direction (DR2) of the first_2 lower portion (117c_2) of the first side wiring (117), the second direction (DR2) width (W7c) of the first_2 lower portion (117c_2) covering the second_1 corner (DL_2a) is greater than the second direction (DR2) width (W7b) of the first connection portion (110b), and as the minimum width of the second direction (DR2) of the first_2 lower portion (117c_2), the second direction (DR2) width of the portion in contact with the first connection portion (117b) may be substantially the same as the second direction (DR2) width (W7b) of the first connection portion (117b), but is not limited thereto.

[0101] Meanwhile, the width of the second direction (DR2) of the first_1 lower part (117c_1) may be smaller than the width of the second direction (DR2) of the first connecting part (117b) depending on the location. In other words, the width of the second direction (DR2) of the first_1 lower part (117c_1) may gradually decrease as it moves toward the other side of the third direction (DR3). Accordingly, the second direction (DR2) width (W7c) of the second_1 corner (DL_2a) covered by the first_2 lower part (117c_2) and the second direction (DR2) width of the second_2 corner (DL_2b) are larger than the second direction (DR2) width (W7b) of the first connecting part (117b), thereby preventing the first side wiring (117) from being disconnected, and at the same time, the second direction (DR2) width of the first_1 lower part (117c_1), which has a relatively lower risk of disconnection, can be reduced to reduce the amount of material required to form the first side wiring (117).
