[0013] Hereinafter, various embodiments of the present invention are described with reference to the accompanying drawings. However, this is not intended to limit the present invention to specific embodiments and should be understood to include various modifications, equivalents, and / or alternatives of the embodiments of the present invention.

[0015] FIG. 1 is a diagram illustrating an IoT environment according to one embodiment.

[0016] Referring to FIG. 1, in an IoT environment (1000) according to one embodiment, a first electronic device (100) (e.g., AI speaker) can be connected to a second electronic device (200) (e.g., IoT device such as a TV) by using an input (e.g., first voice signal (10)) based on a user's speech. In this case, the first electronic device (100) can transmit and receive at least one of an input based on a user's speech, network connection information for connecting the second electronic device (200) and the intelligent server (300), and device identification information through a network (400) with the intelligent server (300).

[0017] In various embodiments, the IoT environment (1000) may include a first electronic device (100), a second electronic device (200), an intelligent server (300), and a network (400). For example, the IoT device (200) may obtain input corresponding to a user's speech as a first voice signal (10). Meanwhile, the first electronic device (100) may receive the first voice signal (10) from the second electronic device (200) and transmit it to the intelligent server (300). In this case, the first electronic device (100) may transmit identification information of the second electronic device (200) along with the first voice signal (10) to the intelligent server (300). Accordingly, the intelligent server (300) can compare the first voice signal (10) transmitted from the first electronic device (100) with the second voice signal, and depending on whether there is a correspondence, the first electronic device (100) can transmit network connection information to the second electronic device (200). In this case, the intelligent server (300) can register the second electronic device (200) with the intelligent server (300) depending on whether there is a correspondence between the first voice signal (10) and the second voice signal. Additionally, the intelligent server (300) can store the second voice signal, which serves as a comparison standard for the first voice signal (10), in memory.

[0019] FIG. 2 is a diagram illustrating components within an IoT environment according to one embodiment.

[0020] Referring to FIG. 2, the first electronic device (100), the second electronic device (200), and the intelligent server (300) within the IoT environment (1000) according to one embodiment may each include their respective components. The components included in the IoT environment (1000) will be described below.

[0021] According to one embodiment, at least one first electronic device (100) can communicate with at least one second electronic device (200) and an intelligent server (300) through a network (400) (e.g., LAN, WAN, Internet, ad-hoc, or telephone network). For example, at least one first electronic device (100) can recognize the presence of the second electronic device (200) using an onboard communication function and connect to the network (400) by performing wired or wireless communication, thereby transmitting at least one piece of information related to the registration of the second electronic device (200) (e.g., input based on user speech and / or device identification information) to the intelligent server (300). [0027] According to one embodiment, the first processor (140) can recognize a second electronic device (200) located adjacent to the first electronic device (100) through the first communication circuit (120). For example, the first processor (140) can recognize the second electronic device (200) adjacent to the first electronic device (100) by scanning a response signal for a signal (e.g., ping) transmitted from the first communication circuit (120). In this case, the first processor (140) can receive an acknowledgment (ACK) from the second electronic device (200) through the first communication circuit (120). Additionally, the first processor (140) can transmit a wake-up signal to the second electronic device (200) through the first communication circuit (120) so that the microphone (e.g., second microphone (210)) of the second electronic device (200) is activated in accordance with the acknowledgment.

[0028] According to one embodiment, the first processor (140) may cause designated voice data to be output through the speaker (110). For example, the first processor (140) may cause a voice-type query that a user can hear to be output through the speaker (110). In this case, the first processor (140) may guide the user to make a speech corresponding to the voice-type query to the second electronic device (200) in which the second microphone (210) is activated.

[0167] FIG. 7b is a diagram illustrating the registration environment of an IoT device according to one embodiment.

[0168] Referring to FIG. 7b, in the registration environment (702) of an IoT device according to one embodiment, the first electronic device (100) can guide a user to speak a voice to the second electronic device (200), and according to the voice, the second electronic device (200a, 200b, 200c, or 200d) can be registered with an intelligent server (e.g., the intelligent server (300) of FIG. 1 to 3). Additionally, in the registration environment (702) of an IoT device according to one embodiment, if the voice of a user obtained from the second electronic device (200a, 200b, 200c, or 200d) is also recognized by the first electronic device (100), the location of the second electronic device (200a, 200b, 200c, or 200d) may be designated as existing in a space adjacent to (or the same as) the first electronic device (100).

[0169] According to one embodiment, the first electronic device (100) may guide the user to speak a voice related to the voice form to the second electronic device (200a, 200b, 200c, or 200d) by outputting a voice-form query. For example, the first electronic device (100) may guide the user to "go to a nearby device and say a 'specific word' to check the device."

[0170] According to one embodiment, the second electronic device (200a, 200b, 200c, or 200d) can acquire a voice uttered by a user as the first voice signal (10). In this case, the second electronic device (200a, 200b, 200c, or 200d) may have a microphone (e.g., the second microphone (210) of FIG. 2) activated in accordance with the command of the electronic device (100). Additionally, the second electronic device (200a, 200b, 200c, or 200d) can transmit the first voice signal (10) to the first electronic device (100). For example, the second electronic device (200b, 200c, or 200d) can acquire the voice as the first voice signal (10) when the voice saying "a specific word" is uttered by the user.

[0171] According to one embodiment, when the first electronic device (100) also acquires the first voice signal (10) received from the second electronic device (200b, 200c, or 200d) through the microphone of the first electronic device (100) (e.g., the first microphone (110) of FIG. 2), it can identify whether the two first voice signals (10) correspond to the second voice signal (e.g., see operation 746 of FIG. 7a). When the first electronic device (100) identifies that the two first voice signals (10) correspond to the second voice signal, it can register the second electronic device (200b, 200c, or 200d) placed in a space within the first specific area (40a) with the intelligent server (300). For example, the first electronic device (100) can guide the user by saying, "Three devices have been identified as being located in the 'living room.' Should the dryer (e.g., 200a) be placed in another room (e.g., 40b)?"

[0173] FIG. 7c is a diagram illustrating the registration environment of an IoT device according to one embodiment.

[0174] Referring to FIG. 7c, in the registration environment (703) of an IoT device according to one embodiment, the first electronic device (100) guides the user to speak to the second electronic device (200), and according to the voice, the second electronic device (200b, 200b', 200c, or 200d) can be registered with an intelligent server (e.g., the intelligent server (300) of FIG. 1 to 3). Additionally, in the registration environment (703) of an IoT device according to one embodiment, if the first electronic device (100) recognizes the voice of a user obtained from the second electronic device (200b, 200b', 200c, or 200d) as well as the voice of the second electronic device (200b, 200b', 200c, or 200d) as existing in a space adjacent to (or the same as) the first electronic device (100), the location of the second electronic device (200b, 200b', 200c, or 200d) may be designated as existing in a space adjacent to (or the same as) the first electronic device (100). In this case, the first electronic device (100) may request registration as another first electronic device (100') for the second electronic device (200b, 200b', 200c, or 200d) placed in a different area.

[0175] According to one embodiment, the first electronic device (100) may guide the user to speak a voice related to the voice form to the second electronic device (200a, 200b, 200c, or 200d) by outputting a voice-form query. For example, the first electronic device (100) may guide the user to "go to a nearby device and say a 'specific word' to check the device."

[0176] According to one embodiment, the second electronic device (200b, 200b', 200c, or 200d) can acquire a voice uttered by a user as the first voice signal (10). In this case, the second electronic device (200b, 200b', 200c, or 200d) may have a microphone (e.g., the second microphone (210) of FIG. 2) activated in accordance with the command of the first electronic device (100). Additionally, the second electronic device (200b, 200b', 200c, or 200d) can transmit the first voice signal (10) to the first electronic device (100). For example, the second electronic device (200b or 200c) can acquire the voice as the first voice signal (10) when the voice saying "a specific word" is uttered by the user.

[0177] According to one embodiment, when the first electronic device (100) also acquires the first voice signal (10) received from the second electronic device (200b or 200c) through the microphone of the first electronic device (100) (e.g., the first microphone (110) in FIG. 2), it can identify whether the two first voice signals (10) correspond to the second voice signal (e.g., see operation 746 in FIG. 7a). If the first electronic device (100) identifies that the two first voice signals (10) correspond to the second voice signal, it can register the second electronic device (200b or 200c) placed in a space within the first specific area (50a) with the intelligent server (300). For example, the first electronic device (100) can instruct the user, "Two devices have been registered in the living room. Go to the remaining device and say a specific word."
