[0065] FIG. 3 is a flowchart illustrating a control method for a mouse-configurable dongle device (100) according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. FIG. 4 to 8 are various example drawings for explaining the operation of a mouse-configurable system (10) and a mouse-configurable dongle device (100) according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. With reference to FIG. 3 to 8, the operation process of the mouse (200) configuration system (10) and the mouse-configurable dongle device (100) will be explained.

[0066] The control module (110) displays the attribute value set for the mouse (200). (S310)

[0067] FIG. 4 is a diagram illustrating an example in which information indicating an attribute value set on a mouse (200) is displayed on the display part (140) of a mouse-configurable dongle device (100).

[0068] The control module (110) displays information indicating the value of each attribute currently set for the mouse (200) as shown in FIG. 4 through the display unit (140). At this time, DPI, Polling Rate, Power, etc. may be displayed on the display unit (140), and in addition, whether it is in setting mode or normal mode may be displayed.

[0069] The control module (110) receives a signal input from the mouse (200). (S320)

[0070] The control module (110) checks whether the signal received at S320 is related to the attribute value of the mouse (200). (S330)

[0071] If the result of checking S330 indicates that the signal received from S320 is related to the attribute value of the mouse (200), the control module (110) changes the attribute value according to the signal received from S320. (S340)

[0072] At this time, if the result of the check by S330 is that the signal (mouse data) received from S320 is not related to the attribute value of the mouse (200), the control module (110) transmits the mouse data to the Host USB. (S360)

[0073] Specifically, the control module (110) receives mouse data from the mouse (200) through the communication module (120). At this time, the control module (110) of the mouse (200) determines whether the mouse data received from the mouse (200) is data related to the setting of the attribute value of the mouse (200). That is, the control module (110) checks whether there is a signal related to the setting of the attribute value among the signals received from the mouse (200).

[0074] For example, the control module (110) determines that if the mouse data is data related to entering the setting mode or is received after entering the setting mode, the mouse data is related to the attribute value of the mouse (200). Then, the control module (110) can enter the setting mode or change the value of the attribute corresponding to the received mouse data according to the mouse data.

[0075] Meanwhile, the control module (110) can transmit the mouse data to the target device (300) via the Host USB if the mouse data received from the mouse (200) is data unrelated to the setting of the mouse (200) attribute value.

[0076] In an embodiment of the present disclosure, entering the setting mode may be determined by a control module (110) of a dongle device (100) capable of mouse setting, or by a processor (not shown) of a mouse (200).

[0077] The processor of the mouse (200) may request the mouse-configurable dongle device (100) to execute the setting mode when the signal input to the mouse (200) or the state of the mouse (200) meets the conditions for entering the setting mode.

[0079] In one embodiment, the processor or control module (110) of the mouse (200) enters a setting mode in which the attributes of the mouse (200) can be set when the state of the mouse (200) or a signal received from the mouse (200) satisfies a preset first condition, and can change the attribute values of the mouse (200) based on the signal received from the mouse (200) in the setting mode. When the processor of the mouse (200) determines to enter the setting mode, it transmits a relevant signal to the control module (110) of the dongle device (100) regarding the entry into the setting mode, and when the control module (110) of the dongle device (100) determines to enter the setting mode, it transmits a relevant signal to the processor of the mouse (200) regarding the entry into the setting mode.

[0080] In an embodiment of the present disclosure, the following methods may be applied to enter a setting mode in which the attribute values of the mouse (200) can be set.

[0081] ① The mouse (200) may include a separate key for entering a setting mode.

[0082] ② At least one signal combination for entering a setting mode may be stored in the dongle device (100) or mouse (200).

[0083] ③ The dongle device (100) or mouse (200) may store at least one mouse (200) state information for entering a setting mode.

[0084] In the embodiment of ①, the processor or control module (110) of the mouse (200) enters a setting mode in which an attribute value can be set when input of the corresponding key is detected from the mouse (200).

[0085] In the embodiment of ②, the processor or control module (110) of the mouse (200) enters a setting mode in which attribute values can be set when a combination of signals received from the mouse (200) matches a combination of signals set for entering a setting mode.

[0086] For example, a combination of the specified buttons of the mouse (200) may be input, or a combination of the specified buttons of the mouse (200) may be input for a predetermined amount of time or longer, which may be a condition for entering the setting mode. The left button, right button, and wheel button of the mouse (200) may be simultaneously clicked for 2 seconds or more, which may be set as a condition for entering the setting mode, and the right button of the mouse (200) may be clicked for 2 seconds or more after the left button is clicked for 2 seconds or more, which may be set as a condition for entering the setting mode.

[0087] In the embodiment of ③, the processor or control module (110) of the mouse (200) detects state information of the mouse (200), and if the detected state information matches the state of the mouse (200) set for entering the setting mode, it enters the setting mode in which attribute values can be set.

[0088] For example, the processor or control module (110) of the mouse (200) may determine that the state information of the mouse (200) is state information for entering a setting mode when the mouse (200) is lifted above a predetermined angle from the floor or when the mouse (200) is lifted above a predetermined height from the floor or when the state is maintained above a predetermined angle for a predetermined time or when the state of the mouse (200) is lifted above a predetermined height from the floor for a predetermined time.

[0089] Here, the processor or control module (110) of the mouse (200) may determine whether the mouse (200) has moved more than a preset angle from the correct position or has been lifted more than a predetermined height from the floor based on the result of receiving light emitted from the light-emitting part of the mouse (200) or by using a gyroscope sensor (not shown) provided in the mouse (200), but is not limited thereto.

[0090] FIG. 5 is a diagram illustrating the entry into a setting mode according to the state of the mouse (200).

[0091] Referring to FIG. 5, the state information of the mouse (200) that can enter the setting mode can be set to flip the mouse (200).

[0092] In one embodiment, a mouse-configurable dongle device (100) may enter a setting mode in which attribute values can be set when the flipping of the mouse (200) is detected or when the detection of the flipping of the mouse (200) is maintained for a preset time or longer.

[0093] Referring to FIG. 5, when the control module (110) detects (510) that the mouse (200) is flipped in the state information of the mouse (200), it enters a setting mode (520) in which attribute values for the mouse (200) can be set.

[0094] In one embodiment, two or more of the methods for entering the setting mode can be used in combination from ①, ②, and ③.

[0095] For example, the processor or control module (110) of the mouse (200) can enter a setting mode when an input signal is received from the mouse (200) that a specific button is clicked after the state information of the mouse (200) has become pre-set state information.

[0096] In one embodiment, the processor or control module (110) of the mouse (200) may enter a setting mode when a signal is received that a specific button is clicked while the mouse (200) is tilted more than a preset angle.

[0097] In one embodiment, the processor or control module (110) of the mouse (200) may enter a setting mode when it is determined that the mouse (200) has reached a preset height from the floor (e.g., a mouse pad).

[0098] The above example is one of various examples of how to enter the setting mode, and various combinations of input signals may also be applied. For example, the processor or control module (110) of the mouse (200) can enter the setting mode by pressing the back button and forward button of the mouse (200) for N seconds or more.

[0099] The processor or control module (110) of the mouse (200) may enter a setting mode if the optical signal input of the mouse (200) is not received for more than a preset time.

[0100] In one embodiment, the processor or control module (110) of the mouse (200) may enter a setting mode when the state in which the mouse (200) is positioned at a height greater than a preset height is maintained for a preset time or longer.

[0101] In one embodiment, if an input signal corresponding to the movement of the mouse (200) is referred to as a first input signal and an input signal related to button input of the mouse (200) is referred to as a second input signal, the control module (110) may process the first input signal received after entering the setting mode as being ignored and check whether there is any second input signal among the received signals that matches a preset condition. Furthermore, if a second input signal that matches a preset condition is received, the control module (110) may change the value of the corresponding attribute according to the received second input signal.

[0102] In one embodiment, the mouse (200) or control module (110) may request that a menu for a setting mode be displayed on the screen of the target device (300) when a preset key of the mouse is input or when the mouse (200) is in a preset state.

[0103] In this case, the pre-configured key may be a pre-configured key combination or a multi-key. The pre-configured state may be the case where the mouse is in an inverted state. However, this is merely a possible example and is not limited thereto.

[0104] In addition, the mouse (200) or control module (110) can control the menu based on an input signal for the menu received from the mouse (200) when a menu for the setting mode is displayed on the screen of the target device (300), thereby controlling the value of the attribute to be changed. That is, in the embodiment of the present disclosure, instead of having a separate button for changing the value of the attribute on the dongle device (200), the button of the mouse (200) is utilized, and when entering the setting mode, the input of the mouse (200) is utilized as an input for changing the value of the attribute.

[0105] For example, when a menu is displayed on the screen of the target device (300), the mouse (200) or control module (110) can move the menu according to a signal input via the wheel of the mouse (200), select and set the corresponding menu according to a signal input via the left button, and control it to exit the menu via the right button.

[0106] FIGS. 6 and 7 illustrate changing attribute values according to a signal received from a mouse (200). Referring to FIGS. 6 and 7, the control module (110) changes the value of a corresponding attribute according to a signal received by the mouse (200) in a setting mode.

[0107] At this time, the signal may be a signal input through the button or wheel of the mouse (200). Additionally, the signal may be a signal from the optical sensor of the mouse (200) based on the movement of the mouse (200). For example, the control module (110) can change the value of the corresponding attribute based on the signal from the optical sensor of the mouse (200) based on the movement of the mouse (200).

[0108] In one embodiment, when the control module (110) receives a first signal from the mouse (200) in a setting mode, it can select an attribute to be set according to the first signal.

[0109] And, the control module (110) can control the value of the corresponding attribute to be changed according to the second signal received after the first signal.

[0110] A specific embodiment thereof will be described with reference to FIG. 6.

[0111] ① When the control module (110) receives the first signal (610: left button click of the mouse (200)), it selects DPI as the target attribute to be set.

[0112] ② When the second signal (620: mouse (200) wheel up) is received, the control module (110) controls the value of the target attribute (DPI) to increase.

[0113] ③ When the control module (110) receives the second signal (630: mouse (200) wheel down), it controls the value of the target attribute (DPI) to decrease.

[0114] A specific embodiment thereof will be described with reference to FIG. 7.

[0115] ① When the control module (110) receives the first signal (710: right-click of the mouse (200)), it selects Polling Rate as the target attribute to be set.

[0116] ② When the second signal (720: mouse (200) wheel up) is received, the control module (110) controls the value of the target attribute (Polling Rate) to increase.

[0117] ③ When the control module (110) receives the second signal (730: mouse (200) wheel down), it controls the value of the target attribute (Polling Rate) to decrease.

[0118] In an embodiment of the present disclosure, when the control module (110) enters a setting mode, it utilizes a signal received from the mouse (200) as a signal for changing an attribute value, and can block the transmission of the signal received from the mouse (200) to the target device (300) until the setting mode is terminated.

[0119] In one embodiment, the control module (110) may enter a setting mode and exit the setting mode when a preset time has elapsed. In one embodiment, the control module (110) may exit the setting mode when the exit of the setting mode or the selection of a normal mode is input according to the input of the mouse (200). In one embodiment, the control module (110) may exit the setting mode when a specific signal is input from the mouse (200), for example, when a signal related to the movement of the mouse (200) (a signal by a light sensor) is received, the setting mode may be exited.

[0120] Additionally, the control module (110) can terminate the setting mode and release the blocking when the state of the mouse (200) or a signal received from the mouse (200) satisfies a preset condition. That is, after the setting mode is terminated, the signal input from the mouse (200) is transmitted to the target device (300), and the mouse (200) operates as an input means.

[0121] For example, a condition for terminating the setting mode may be when the inverted mouse (200) returns to its normal state as shown in FIG. 5. Additionally, a condition for terminating the setting mode may be when a signal combining a specific key or feature keys is received.

[0122] In one embodiment, the value of the target attribute may be set or changed directly from the mouse (200).

[0123] The mouse (200) can change the value of the corresponding attribute when a combination of preset input signals is input. Then, the mouse (200) transmits data regarding the attribute value for which the setting has been changed to the dongle device (100), and the control module (110) can display information indicating the value of the changed attribute through the display unit (140).

[0124] Meanwhile, the control module (110) displays information indicating the attribute value changed in S340. (S350)

[0125] In one embodiment, the control module (110) can control the display unit (140) so that the changed attribute value is applied to the information displayed as in FIG. 4 and displayed.

[0126] In one embodiment, the display unit (140) may include an LED, and in this case, the control module (110) may control the display unit (140) so that the LED emits light according to the value of the changed attribute.

[0127] In one embodiment, a dongle device (100) capable of mouse settings can operate even when the power of the target device (300) is OFF.

[0128] A mouse-configurable dongle device (100) may include a battery capable of supplying power on its own.

[0129] In one embodiment, the control module (110) supplies power to the device (100) via a battery while the device (100) is not electrically connected to the target device (300), and stores the attribute value set in the setting mode in the storage module (130).

[0130] In addition, the control module (110) can transmit the changed attribute value to the mouse (200), and when the dongle device (100) and the target device (300) are electrically connected, it can transmit the attribute value stored in the storage module (130) to the target device (300) so that the attribute value is reflected.

[0131] Figure 8 is a drawing illustrating a figure mounted on a dongle device.

[0132] Referring to FIG. 8, an example is shown in which a figure (810) is mounted on a dongle device (100) capable of mouse settings.

[0133] In one embodiment, the mouse-configurable dongle device (100) may further include a mounting portion formed so that a figure (810) can be mounted on one side. The mounting portion includes a coupling structure to allow for the replacement of the figure (810).

[0134] For example, a mouse-configurable dongle device (100) may include a mounting portion to stably support a figure (810), thereby allowing the user to selectively mount the figure (810) they want.

[0135] Additionally, the control module (110) can emit LEDs of various colors through the display unit (140) according to the setting of attribute values, and the light emitted through the display unit (140) can illuminate the figure (810) to maximize the visual design effect. These design elements provide customized functions that can reflect the user's individuality and can play a role in enhancing immersion, especially in a gaming environment.

[0136] Additionally, functions such as the color, blinking pattern, and brightness control of the LED implemented in the display unit (140) serve to provide immediate feedback when the user changes the setting value, thereby supporting an intuitive user experience. Therefore, the present disclosure can provide a functional design that can maximize visual effects, going beyond a simple mouse (200) setting change device.
