Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a pipe connection structure, and more specifically, to a pipe connection structure capable of preventing damage to a flange by minimizing bolt fastening force. Background Technology

[0002] Generally, a gasket is installed between flanges to interconnect two pipes in order to prevent fluid leakage.

[0003] In order for such gaskets to prevent pressure leakage, they must be subjected to proper compressive force, so the bolts connecting the flanges must be tightened to generate compressive force.

[0004] However, if the bolts are overtightened, there is a disadvantage in that uniform pressure is not applied to the gasket and flange, causing the gasket to fail to function and potentially leading to fluid leakage or damage to the gasket and flange.

[0005] Accordingly, the need was raised for a leak prevention technology that can prevent flange damage by minimizing bolt fastening force while simultaneously improving the function of the gasket. Prior art literature

[0010] In addition, a pair of first members have inclined surfaces that are tapered in the centrifugal direction on mutually opposing surfaces.

[0011] Additionally, the second member has a ring shape with a hollow portion formed therein, and has a slope corresponding to the slope of the inclined surface so as to come into contact with the inclined surface between a pair of first members, and the width of the cross-section narrows as it goes in the circumferential direction.

[0012] In addition, the present invention further includes a bolt member that connects the flanges to prevent them from being separated by a predetermined distance or more, and as the direction of pressure applied to the second member by the fluid and the direction of pressure applied to the first member are perpendicular, the second member is in close contact with the inclined surface of the first member and the first member is in close contact with the flange, and the bolt member limits the repulsive force of the first member between the flanges and provides a compressive force to the first member, thereby increasing the contact force between the first member, the second member, and the flange and preventing fluid leakage. [0022] The pipe connection structure of the present invention, to be described below, is applied to a gasket structure provided between flanges for interconnecting two pipes, and relates to a pipe connection structure capable of preventing damage to the flanges by minimizing the bolt fastening force applied to the flanges.

[0023] Below, for the sake of convenience of understanding, a conventional pipe connection structure is described.

[0024] Figure 1 is a cross-sectional view showing a conventional gasket structure.

[0025] Referring to FIG. 1, the conventional gasket structure has adopted a structure in which a gasket (50) is provided between flanges (30), and a compressive force is provided to the gasket (50) by pressing the flanges (30) and the gasket (50) through the fastening force of a bolt.

[0026] In order for the gasket (50) to function as a pressure-preventing device, it must be subjected to a suitable compressive force, so the bolt connecting the flange (30) must be tightened to generate the compressive force.

[0027] However, when the bolt is overtightened, a uniform pressure is not applied to the gasket (50) and the flange (30), so the gasket (50) does not function and there is a problem of fluid leakage.

[0028] In addition, there has been a disadvantage that when both the fastening force of the bolt and the pressure of the fluid inside the pipe act strongly, the flange (30) or gasket (50) may bend and cause damage.

[0029] A pipe connection structure according to one embodiment of the present invention is designed to solve the problems of conventional gasket structures and is characterized by being able to prevent damage to the flange (30) by minimizing the fastening force of the bolt and effectively prevent fluid leakage at the same time.

[0030] Hereinafter, a pipe connection structure according to one embodiment of the present invention described above will be described in detail.

[0031] FIG. 2 is a perspective view of a pipe connection structure according to one embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of a pipe connection structure according to one embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 4 is a perspective view of a first member according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 5 is a perspective view of a second member according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0032] Referring to FIGS. 2 to 5, the present invention may be provided to include a pair of first members (110) and second members (120).

[0033] First, a pair of first members (110) may be provided facing each other, having a ring shape with a hollow portion formed between flanges (30) that connect the two pipes, each provided at one end of the two pipes.

[0034] Next, the second member (120) is configured to be positioned between a pair of first members (110) and is arranged to be in close contact between the pair of first members (110) by the pressure of the fluid inside the pipe, thereby functioning to maintain airtightness so that fluid does not leak between the flanges (30).

[0035] The first member (110) and the second member (120) may be made of an elastic material so that they can be easily brought into close contact with each other by expanding in the circumferential direction of the pipe by the pressure of the fluid inside the flange (30).

[0036] At this time, when the fluid pressure is equal to atmospheric pressure, the fluid does not leak between the flanges (30), and when the fluid pressure is higher than atmospheric pressure, the second member (120) flows in the circumferential direction of the pipe, causing it to be in close contact between the first members (110).

[0037] That is, since the first member (110), the second member (120), and the flange (30) are in close contact, the airtightness between the flanges (30) is maintained, thereby preventing fluid leakage.

[0038] Furthermore, in one embodiment of the present invention, a pair of first members (110) may be provided with inclined surfaces (111) tapered in the centrifugal direction on mutually opposing surfaces.

[0039] The second member (120) has a ring shape with a hollow portion formed therein and can be arranged to have a slope corresponding to the slope of the slope (111) so as to come into contact with the slope between a pair of first members (110), and the width of the cross-section becomes narrower as it goes in the circumferential direction.

[0040] At this time, the second member (120) may be provided in a ring shape having a hollow portion equal to or larger than the diameter of the pipe, and the first member (110) may be provided in a ring shape having a hollow portion with a diameter larger than the hollow portion of the second member (120).

[0041] In this case, as the direction of pressure applied to the second member (120) by the fluid and the direction of pressure applied to the first member (110) are perpendicular, the second member (120) is in close contact with the inclined surface (111) of the first member (110), and the first member (110) is in close contact with the flange (30).

[0042] That is, as the second member (120) moves in the circumferential direction of the pipe due to the pressure of the fluid moving inside the pipe, a pair of first members (110) are spaced apart from each other toward each flange (30) to provide uniform pressure to each flange (30).

[0043] Accordingly, by preventing damage caused by bending of the flange (30) and the first member (110) due to pressure being concentrated on a part of the flange (30) and ensuring that the flanges (30) are always parallel, there is an advantage of maintaining airtightness and connecting pipes more stably.

[0044] In addition, a pipe connection structure according to one embodiment of the present invention may be provided to further include a bolt member configuration.

[0045] Referring to FIGS. 2 and FIGS. 3, the bolt member (130) functions to connect the flanges (30) to each other and prevent them from being separated by more than a preset distance.

[0046] In one embodiment, a pair of flanges (30) includes an opposing first flange (31) and a second flange (32), and a coupling hole formed in the first flange (31) for coupling with a bolt member (130), and a through hole larger than the diameter of the bolt member (130) may be formed in the second flange (32) so that the bolt member (130) can pass through.

[0047] At this time, the outer surface of the bolt member (130) and the inner surface of the coupling hole of the first flange (31) are provided to have corresponding screw threads formed thereon so that rotational coupling is possible.

[0048] Accordingly, the bolt member (130) is rotatably coupled to the first flange (31) and coupled such that the end of the bolt member (130) penetrates the through hole of the second flange (32), and a nut member may be further provided at the end of the bolt member (130) to prevent it from detaching from the through hole of the second flange (32).

[0049] As the pipe connection structure (100) of the present invention further includes the bolt member (130) described above, the bolt member (130) limits the repulsive force of the first member (110) between the flanges (30) and provides a compressive force to the first member (110), thereby increasing the contact force between the first member (110), the second member (120), and the flanges (30) so that fluid leakage is prevented.

[0050] That is, since airtightness is easily maintained even when the fastening force of the bolt member (130) is not high, it is possible to prevent the flange (30) from bending or being damaged due to excessive fastening force of the bolt member (130) and simultaneously maintain airtightness and stably connect the pipe.

[0051] Above, we have examined the configuration of a pipe connection structure according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0052] By using the pipe connection structure of the present invention according to one embodiment of the present invention described above, it is possible to prevent fluid leakage between flanges as follows.

[0053] Referring again to FIGS. 2 and FIGS. 3, the pipe connection structure (100) of the present invention can be installed in the following order.

[0054] First, a pair of first members (110) are installed facing each other between the flanges (30) provided on the two pipes to be connected.

[0055] Afterwards, the second member (120) is inserted and coupled between the first member (110), and by using a bolt member (130) to simultaneously penetrate each flange (30) and fastening a nut member at the end, the components provided between the flanges (30) can be fixed and the pipes can be connected.

[0056] At this time, when fastening the bolt member (130), it is desirable to fasten it with an appropriate fastening force so that the flange (30) does not bend or excessive compressive force is applied to the first member (110).

[0057] The pipe connection structure (100) of the present invention installed in this way prevents the fluid from leaking between the flanges (30) when the pressure of the fluid inside the pipe is equal to atmospheric pressure, and when the pressure of the fluid is higher than atmospheric pressure, the second member (120) flows in the circumferential direction and pressurizes the first member (110), thereby causing the first member (110) to be in close contact with each flange (30).

[0058] That is, as the fluid pressure increases, the first member (110) is brought into close contact with each flange (30) by the second member (120), causing a pair of first members (110) to be spaced apart from each other and a gap to be formed.

[0059] At this time, as the second member (120) is in close contact between the inclined surfaces (111) of a pair of first members (110), fluid leakage through the gap between the first members (110) is completely blocked, thereby ensuring that the airtightness between the flanges (30) is always maintained.

[0060] Here, pressure is applied to the second member (120) in the circumferential direction of the pipe by the internal fluid of the pipe, and as the second member (120) is in close contact with the inclined surface (111) of the first member (110), the first member (110) is pressed in a direction perpendicular to the direction of pressure applied to the second member (120) and is in close contact with each flange (30).

[0061] Accordingly, since uniform pressure is provided to the contact surface of the flange (30) in contact with the first member (110), the pressure is not concentrated on a part of the flange (30) and it is prevented from bending, and the flanges (30) are always parallel, thereby preventing damage to the first member (110) and the second member (120) provided between the flanges (30).

[0062] As seen so far, using a pipe connection structure according to one embodiment of the present invention can have the following advantages.

[0063] In the case of conventional technology, the gasket provided between the flanges must be subjected to an appropriate compressive force to prevent pressure leakage, so the bolts connecting the flanges must be tightened to generate this compressive force.

[0064] However, there has been a disadvantage in that if the bolts are overtightened, uniform pressure is not applied to the gasket and flange, causing the gasket to fail to function and potentially leading to fluid leakage or damage to the gasket and flange.

[0065] The pipe connection structure of the present invention is designed to solve these problems, so that the second member, the first member, and the flange are naturally brought into close contact by the pressure of the fluid, even without the bolt member strongly pressing the flange.

[0066] Accordingly, fluid leakage between the flanges can be effectively prevented, and by applying uniform pressure to the contact surface of the flange in contact with the first member, bending or breakage of the flange can be prevented.

[0067] In addition, conventional technology has had the disadvantage of high operational difficulty in terms of productivity, as precise control of the fastening force of the bolts connecting the flanges is required because the compressive force required by the gasket to prevent fluid leakage must be accurately designed.

[0068] However, when using the pipe connection structure of the present invention, since the compressive force applied to the first member and the second member does not affect airtightness even if it is not accurately designed, there is no need to precisely control the fastening force of the bolt member, which has the advantage of reducing the difficulty of work and significantly improving work efficiency.

[0069] The embodiments of the invention disclosed in this specification and drawings are provided merely as specific examples to facilitate the explanation of the technical content of the invention and to aid in understanding the invention, and are not intended to limit the scope of the invention.

[0070] Accordingly, the scope of the present invention should be interpreted as including all modifications or variations derived based on the technical concept of the present invention, in addition to the embodiments disclosed herein. Explanation of the symbols
