Abstract
Description
Technology Field
[0001] This technology relates to an automated system capable of forming a reinforcing layer on each of the surface and back surfaces of a disc brake, which is a workpiece, by melting heterogeneous materials with a laser to form a laminated structure. Background Technology
[0002] Generally, disc brakes are installed on the wheels of railway vehicles or the axles of automobiles to obtain braking force by applying pressure to brake pads.
[0003] Here, this disc brake has a problem in which cracks or deformation occur due to the influence of heat generated during braking.
[0004] Accordingly, a disc brake capable of suppressing the occurrence of cracks or deformation caused by brake heat by coating the surface of the disc brake body with a material having excellent heat resistance is proposed, and the Extreme High Speed Laser Application (EHLA) method can be used in a conventional manner.
[0005] The above-described laser method involves discharging different types of powder-type fillers (metal powders) together with a laser beam through a powder supply nozzle so that they can be melted onto the disc brake surface, thereby forming a reinforcing layer having a structure in which different filler layers are stacked to suppress cracking or deformation caused by brake heat.
[0006] Meanwhile, regarding the method for forming the aforementioned reinforcing layer, Korean registered patent No. 10-1671679, "Disc brake and method of manufacturing the same," and Korean published patent No. 10-2015-0111352, "Laser microcladding using powdered flex and metal," technology has been disclosed. However, since no technology regarding an automated system to smoothly implement such methods has been derived, there is a problem that the development of a system for this is urgent. [0017] Furthermore, in describing the present invention, if it is determined that a detailed description of related known functions or configurations may unnecessarily obscure the essence of the invention, such detailed description is abbreviated or omitted.
[0019] Hereinafter, a rotary type automation system for forming a reinforcing layer of a disc brake according to the present invention (hereinafter briefly referred to as the "automation system") will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings.
[0020] Before explaining, the control unit (400) described below refers to a conventional controller that is positioned in the form of a control panel operable in close proximity to the rotary table (100) or can electrically control the automation system (1) according to the present invention remotely through a wired or wireless communication network with a management terminal (not shown), and a detailed description is omitted so as not to obscure the gist of the present invention.
[0021] In addition, it should be noted that the automation system (1) in the present invention is formed in the form of a chamber equipped with a temperature control unit (not shown) inside each of the first material processing area (S-2), second material processing area (S-3), and cutting area (S-4) that are divided and formed on the rotary table (100), so that the temperature can be individually controlled by the control unit (400), and for this purpose, the automation system (1) may be installed such that a housing (not shown) having a door that can be opened and closed corresponding to each area is located outside the rotary table (100).
[0022] First, as illustrated in FIG. 1, the automation system (1) according to the present invention may largely include a rotary table (100), a material processing unit (200), a transfer member (300), and a control unit (400) that electrically controls at least one of these components.
[0023] To explain in more detail, the rotary table (100) includes a rotating plate (120) and a rotating chuck (110) configured to move the workpiece (10), which is a vehicle disc brake, by rotation so that a reinforcing layer (30) can be formed on the surface and the back surface of the workpiece (10), respectively (see FIG. 4).
[0024] For example, as illustrated, the rotating plate (120) is formed into the shape of a disc having a predetermined diameter to have a predetermined height from the bottom surface, and a rotating motor (130) for intermittently rotating the rotating plate (120) is provided at the bottom so that it can be controlled through a control unit (400).
[0025] A disc-shaped rotating plate (120) has four divided regions formed based on the center point of the rotating plate (120), and the divided regions include an entry / exit region (S-1), a first material processing region (S-2), a second material processing region (S-3), and a cutting region (S-4).
[0026] Here, the access area (S-1) refers to an area where the workpiece (10) can be supplied and removed, the first material processing area (S-2) is an area for forming a first material molten layer (30a) on the surface and back of the workpiece (10) by the first material, the second material processing area (S-3) is an area for forming a second material molten layer (30b) by melting the second material on the outer surface of the first material molten layer (30a), and the cutting area (S-4) refers to an area for completing a reinforcing layer (30) by performing a cutting process on the outer surface of the second material molten layer (30b) melted on the workpiece (10).
[0027] In addition, the first and second materials mentioned above refer to different types of powdered metal materials that are melted by a high-temperature laser, for example, the first material may be SUS316L, a type of stainless steel with reduced carbon concentration to improve durability against corrosion, and the second material may be tungsten carbide characterized by wear resistance and oxidation resistance, but is not limited thereto.
[0028] Meanwhile, although not shown, the first and second materials are supplied by connecting a plurality of material supply tanks (not shown), formed in the shape of tanks, individually to the material melting member (210).
[0029] Additionally, the rotating chuck (110) may be provided in a total of four configurations on the upper surface of the rotating plate (120) so as to be located in each of the four divided areas, and each rotating chuck (110) is controlled through a control unit (400) so that it can be rotated individually by a separate motor (not shown).
[0030] At this time, it is preferable that the rotary chuck (110) be formed to have different shapes depending on the shape of the workpiece (10) to be processed so that the workpiece (10) can be seated in a shape-matched manner.
[0031] And, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the above material processing unit (200) is installed so as to be controlled by a control unit (400) on the upper side of the rotary table (100) and includes a material melting member (210) and a cutting blade (220) in a configuration for forming a reinforcing layer on the surface and back side of the workpiece (10).
[0032] For example, the material melting member (210) is configured to be installed in the first material processing area (S-2) and the second material processing area (S-3) described above, respectively, to form a first material melting layer (30a) and a second material melting layer (30b) on the surface and back surface of the workpiece (10), and includes a material discharge nozzle (211) and a laser irradiator (213).
[0033] Here, it should be noted that the material melting member (210) installed in the first and second material processing areas (S-2, S-3), respectively, is made of the same structure with only the type of material being discharged differing, so the description is based on the material melting member (210) installed in the first material processing area (S-2) to clearly convey the gist of the present invention.
[0034] In addition, the means of movement (20) used for the lifting, reciprocating, or rotation of the material melting member (210) described below refers to a conventional moving device such as a conventional cylinder or a motor modularized by combining a gear and a belt, and is described as a means of movement (20) so as not to obscure the gist of the present invention.
[0035] The material discharge nozzle (211) installed in the first material processing area (S-2) is configured to discharge the first material (the second material in the second material processing area) onto the surface and back surface of the workpiece (10), and is connected to a moving means (20) so as to be positioned on the upper part of the rotating plate (120), so as to be able to move not only up and down but also according to the area of the workpiece (10) to form the first material melting layer (30a).
[0036] To this end, the material discharge nozzle (211) may have a structure connected to a tank that receives a first material that is not shown.
[0037] In addition, the laser irradiator (213) may be installed to form an integral part with the material discharge nozzle (211), and when the first material or the second material is discharged through the material discharge nozzle (211), a high-temperature laser is irradiated so that a first material molten layer (30a) or a second material molten layer (30b) may be formed on the surface and back surface of the workpiece (10) depending on the type of material discharged.
[0038] Meanwhile, the first and second molten material layers (30a, 30b) in the present invention are formed to have a laminated structure on the outer surface of the workpiece (10) as illustrated.
[0039] Additionally, the cutting blade (220) is provided on the outer surface of the inversion gripper (313) placed in the cutting area (S-4) so as to be controllable through the control unit (400), and the cutting process is performed on the surface of the second material molten layer (30b) so that the reinforcing layer (30) can be completed.
[0040] To this end, as illustrated, the cutting blade (220) is provided in an 'L' shape on the outer surface of the reversing gripper (313), which is capable of lifting or reciprocating movement via the moving means (20), and the cutting of the surface of the second material molten layer (30b) is performed through the movement of the reversing gripper (313).
[0041] And, as shown in FIG. 1, the above-described transfer member (300) is configured to supply the workpiece (10) to be processed to the rotating plate (120) by installing it in each of the above-described divided areas (S-1 to S-4), as well as to transport the workpiece (10) with the reinforcing layer (30) formed thereon to the outside through the material processing section (200), and to invert (turn over) the workpiece (10) so that the reinforcing layer (30) can be formed on both the surface and the back surface of the workpiece (10), and includes a gripper member (310), a supply conveyor (320), and a discharge conveyor (330).
[0042] Here, the supply conveyor (320) and the discharge conveyor (330) refer to a conventional conveyor comprising a plurality of rollers rotatable by a motor or a belt wound on the outer surface of said rotatable rollers, as illustrated, and a detailed description is omitted so as not to obscure the gist of the invention.
[0043] For example, the gripper (310) can be controlled by the control unit (400) and can use a robot with a multi-joint structure capable of rotation and movement as its body, and is equipped with a clamp shape that can be closed or opened on the robot body so as to be able to grip or release the side of a disc-shaped workpiece (10).
[0044] In addition, the supply conveyor (320) and the discharge conveyor (330) are installed in an 'L' or '=' shape based on the gripper member (310) described above, as shown in the illustration, and have an arrangement structure that allows the workpiece (10) supplied through the supply conveyor (320) to be supplied to the rotating plate (120), and the workpiece (10) with a reinforcing layer formed on its surface and back surface to be smoothly discharged by the discharge conveyor (330).
[0045] Meanwhile, as described above, the gripper member (310) is used for supplying and discharging the workpiece (10), and also includes a transfer gripper (311) and a reversal gripper (313) configured to be placed in each divided area to perform reversal (turning over) of the workpiece (10).
[0046] The transfer gripper (311) and the inversion gripper (313) may each use a multi-joint robot arm capable of moving, lifting, and rotating in conjunction with the moving means (20), and preferably may be formed into a gripper shape capable of opening and closing, and may have a structure capable of gripping or releasing the side of a disc-shaped workpiece (10).
[0047] The transfer gripper (311) is positioned in the entry / exit area (S-1) and is used to place a workpiece (10) transported via the supply conveyor (320) onto the rotating chuck (110) or to grip a workpiece (10) having a reinforcing layer (30) formed on its surface and back surface so that it can be discharged by the discharge conveyor (330).
[0048] In addition, the inversion gripper (313) is positioned in the first and second material processing areas (S-2, S-3) and the cutting area (S-4), respectively, to invert the workpiece (10) so that a reinforcing layer (30) can be formed on the surface and back surface of the workpiece (10).
[0049] At this time, it is preferable that the outer surface of the inversion gripper (313) placed in the cutting area (S-4) is provided with the cutting blade (220) described above so that the cutting process of the second material molten layer (30b) can be implemented through the movement of the inversion gripper (313).
[0050] Hereinafter, with reference to the description of the above-described automation system (1) and the attached drawings, a method for forming a reinforcing layer using a rotary type automation system for forming a reinforcing layer of a disc brake according to the present invention (hereinafter briefly referred to as the 'forming method') will be described in detail.
[0051] Before the explanation, in order to clearly understand the gist of the forming method (2) according to the present invention, the upper surface of the workpiece (10) that is first placed on the rotating chuck (110) via the supply conveyor (320) is referred to as the "surface," and the lower surface is referred to as the "back surface" for the explanation.
[0052] First, as illustrated in FIG. 5, the forming method (2) according to the present invention comprises: 1) a step (S10) of gripping a workpiece (10) transferred to an entry / exit area (S-1) via a supply conveyor (320) with a transfer gripper (311) and placing it on a rotary chuck (110), and then rotating a rotary table (100) to move the workpiece (10) to a first material processing area (S-2); 2) a step (S20) of forming a first material melting layer (30a) by melting the first material with a laser on the surface and back surface of the workpiece (10) respectively through a material melting member (210) installed in the first material processing area (S-2), and then rotating a rotary table (100) to move the workpiece (10) to a second material processing area (S-3); and 3) a step (S20) of a material melting member (210) installed in the second material processing area (S-3) A step (S30) of forming a second material melting layer (30b) by laser-melting the second material on the surface and back surface of the workpiece (10) respectively through a material melting member (210), and then rotating the rotary table (100) to move the workpiece (10) to a cutting area (S-4); 4) a step (S40) of forming a reinforcing layer (30) by cutting the second material melting layer (30b) formed on the surface and back surface of the workpiece (10) respectively using a cutting blade (220) installed in the cutting area (S-4), and then rotating the rotary table (100) to re-enter the workpiece (10) into an entry / exit area (S-1); and 5) using a transfer gripper (311) to place the workpiece (10) with the reinforcing layer (30) formed thereon, which has re-entered the entry / exit area (S-1), onto an exit conveyor (330) and exit. Includes step (S50).
[0053] To explain in more detail, for step 1) above, as shown in FIG. 6, the control unit (400) uses a transfer gripper (311) provided near the entry area (S-1) to grasp the workpiece (10) supplied through the supply conveyor (320), and then places it on the rotating chuck (110) of the rotating plate (120) placed in the entry area (S-1).
[0054] When a workpiece (10) is placed on the rotating chuck (110), the control unit (400) rotates the rotating plate (120) to control the workpiece (10) located in the entry / exit area (S-1) to move to the first material processing area (S-2).
[0055] At this time, although not shown, it is preferable that the rotary chuck (110) be equipped with a sensor (not shown) for detecting the presence of a workpiece (10) and transmitting the detection information to a control unit (400).
[0056] Afterward, when the above-mentioned step 1) is completed, the control unit (400) performs step 2) of moving the workpiece (10) to the second material processing area (S-3) after forming a first material molten layer (30a) on the surface and the back surface of the workpiece (10) that has been moved to the first material processing area (S-2), as illustrated in FIGS. 7a to 7c.
[0057] To this end, when the workpiece (10) enters the first material processing area (S-2), the control unit (400) first forms a first material molten layer (30a) on the surface of the workpiece (10) through the material melting member (210), and in this process, the rotating chuck (110) is controlled to rotate so that the first material molten layer (30a) is evenly formed on the surface of the desired workpiece (10).
[0058] When the above-mentioned first material molten layer (30a) is formed on the surface of the workpiece (10), the control unit (400) inverts the workpiece (10) through the inversion gripper (313) present in the first material processing area (S-2) so that the back side of the workpiece (10) is positioned to the outside, that is, below the material molten member (210), and places the workpiece (10) back onto the rotating chuck (110).
[0059] Then, the control unit (400) forms a first material melting layer (30a) on the back surface of the workpiece (10) exposed to the outside through the material melting member (210) in the manner described above, and the rotating chuck (110) is controlled to rotate during this process, and when it is determined that the first material melting layer (30a) has also been formed on the back surface of the workpiece (10), the control unit (400) controls the rotating plate (120) to rotate so that the workpiece (10) can enter the second material processing area (S-3).
[0060] Afterward, when the workpiece (10), having a first material molten layer (30a) formed on its surface and back surface respectively through the above-mentioned step 2), enters the second material processing area (S-3), as shown in FIGS. 8a to 8c, a second material molten layer (30b) is formed on its surface to have a stacked structure with each of the first material molten layers (30a), and then the workpiece (10) is moved to the cutting area (S-4), step 3) is executed.
[0061] To this end, the control unit (400) performs the same process as in step 2) described above so that a second material melting layer (30b) is formed on the outer surface of the first material melting layer (30a) formed on the back surface of the workpiece (10) that has entered the second material processing area (S-3), by melting the second material with a laser. Since step 3) is implemented through the same process method, differing only in the materials used, a detailed explanation is omitted to ensure that the gist of the invention is clearly understood.
[0062] Afterwards, when the workpiece (10) having the first and second molten material layers (30a, 30b) formed on its surface and back surface through the above-mentioned step 3) moves to the cutting area (S-4), as shown in FIGS. 9a to 9c, the outer surface of the second molten material layer (30b) is cut with a cutting blade (220) to complete the reinforcing layer (30), and then the workpiece (10) is moved to the entry / exit area (S-1), step 4) is executed.
[0063] To this end, when the control unit (400) detects that a workpiece (10) having first and second molten material layers (30a, 30b) formed on its surface and back surface, respectively, has entered a cutting area (S-4), it controls a reverse gripper (313) equipped with a cutting blade (220) placed in the cutting area (S-4) to perform a cutting process on the outer surface of the second molten material layer (30b) formed on one of the surfaces exposed to the outside.
[0064] Afterward, the control unit (400) controls the inversion gripper (313) to cut the second material molten layer (30b) formed on another side of the workpiece (10) where the cutting process has not been performed, so that the workpiece (10) can be inverted and placed back on the rotating chuck (110) to re-execute the cutting process, thereby allowing the reinforcing layer (30) to be completed on the surface and the back side of the workpiece (10), respectively.
[0065] Of course, to ensure the smooth execution of the cutting process, the rotary chuck (110) is controlled to rotate through the control unit (400).
[0066] In addition, when the cutting process is completed, the control unit (400) controls the rotating plate (120) so that the workpiece (10) with multiple reinforcing layers formed thereon can move from the cutting area (S-4) to the entry / exit area (S-1), thereby concluding step 4).
[0067] Finally, when the above-mentioned step 4) is completed, step 5) is performed to remove the workpiece (10) having a plurality of reinforcing layers (30) formed thereon, as illustrated in FIG. 10.
[0068] To this end, when the control unit (400) detects that the workpiece (10) with the reinforced layer (30) has entered the entry / exit area (S-1) from the cutting area (S-4), it controls the transfer gripper (311) present in the entry / exit area (S-1) to move the workpiece (10) present in the rotating chuck (110) to the discharge conveyor (330) and discharge it to a desired location or so that it can be loaded, thereby completing step 5).
