Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to an ant farm, and more specifically, to an ant farm that is easy to observe and expand. Background Technology

[0002] Ant nests are generally formed by digging burrows inside trees or in crevices or under stones or rocks. Therefore, while behaviors of ants visible outside the nest, such as resource exploration, can be easily observed in nature, behaviors visible inside the nest, such as caring for eggs, larvae, and the queen ant, and reacting to external forces invading the nest, have not been easily observed.

[0003] Therefore, to observe the internal activities of these ants in a nest, ants are raised in an ant farm.

[0004] In this case, since ants can climb walls, the ant farm must be isolated from the outside to prevent them from escaping.

[0005] As the number of worker ants increases over time and the colony grows in size, ants require increasingly larger nests. However, if the ant farm is excessively large compared to the colony size from the start, the ants will accumulate waste inside the nest, contaminating the rearing environment which lacks decomposers. Furthermore, expanding conventional ant farms has been difficult because the farm must always be isolated from the outside environment.

[0006] In addition, while wild ant nests possess diverse environments regarding temperature and humidity, it was difficult to provide such varied environments in small ant farms. The problem to be solved

[0007] The present invention aims to solve the aforementioned problems, and the objective of the present invention is to provide an ant breeding facility capable of observing the internal and external activities of ants in a nest.

[0008] Another objective of the present invention is to provide an ant farm that can expand in size while isolated from the outside.

[0020] At this time, the first nest is located on the upper part of the first transparent member and may include a light filter panel that blocks light of a specific wavelength.

[0021] In addition, the light filter panel can block only wavelengths of light excluding the wavelength of red light.

[0022] At this time, the first transparent member may include one or more first air holes that allow air from the inside and outside to pass through.

[0023] In addition, the first body may include an ant blocker capable of blocking the movement of the ants between the first nest and the food search area through opening and closing.

[0024] At this time, the first transparent member may include an ant blocker control mechanism located at the top of the ant blocker, which allows the ant blocker to be opened and closed from the outside.

[0025] Additionally, it may include one or more second nests, each comprising a second body that is connected to the first nest and allows the ants to move, and has a third space that is recessed from the upper surface for the ants to form a colony, and a second transparent member that covers the upper surface.

[0026] At this time, the second nest may have the same shape as the first nest.

[0027] In addition, it may include an external blocker connected to the above-mentioned food search area, which can block the movement of the ants between the first nest and the above-mentioned food search area through opening and closing.

[0028] At this time, the above-mentioned foraging area may be detachable from the above-mentioned first nest.

[0029] In addition, it may include a flexible hose that allows the ants to move, one side of which is connected to the first nest and the other side of which is connected to the food search area.

[0040] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of an ant farm according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view of an ant farm according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0041] Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, an ant breeding facility (10) according to one embodiment of the present invention may include a first nest (100), three second nests (200), a food search area (300), and a first external barrier (400).

[0042] An ant breeding facility (10) is a device that provides an artificial ant breeding environment so that the activities inside and outside of the nest of an ant colony can be observed.

[0043] The first nest (100) is configured to provide a first space (140) for ants to form a colony and can be connected to a second nest (200) and a food search area (300).

[0044] The second nest (200) is configured to additionally provide a second space (240 in FIG. 6) where the ants can form a colony, by connecting the first nest (100) and the ants so that the ants can move between them, so that the ant farm (10) can accommodate an ant colony that expands by breeding over time.

[0045] The food search area (300) is connected to the first nest (100) so that the ants can move between them, and is configured to provide a third space (312 in FIG. 9) for feeding the ants.

[0046] At this time, the first nest (100) is a nest where the ant can move to the food search area (300) without going through the second nest (200), and the second nest (200) is a nest where the ant can move to the food search area (300) only through the first nest (100).

[0047] An ant farm (10) according to one embodiment of the present invention includes three second nests (200), but there is no limit to the number of second nests (200) of the ant farm (10).

[0048] The first external blocker (400) is configured to be combined with the food search area (300) to block the movement of ants between the food search area (300) and the first nest (100), and the food search area (300) and the first nest (100) can be connected through the first external blocker (400).

[0049] FIG. 3 is a perspective view of a first nest (100) of an ant farm (10) according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 4 is an exploded perspective view of the first nest (100) of an ant farm (10) according to one embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view taken along I-I' in FIG. 4.

[0050] Referring to FIGS. 3 and 4, a first nest (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention may include a first body (110) providing a first space (140), a first humidity control member (160), a first transparent member (170), a first light filter panel (180), and a first water supply device (190).

[0051] The first body (110) is located at the bottom of the first nest (100) and is configured in the shape of a rectangular parallepiped with a recessed upper surface, having a first space (140) where ants form a colony. The first body (110) may be made of a synthetic resin material, such as plastic, for example.

[0052] At this time, the first body (110) may have any shape with a recessed upper surface that can provide a first space (140), rather than a rectangular shape with a recessed upper surface.

[0053] At this time, in one embodiment of the present invention, an outer wall extending in the z-axis direction from the bottom surface of the first body (110) and surrounding the interior of the first body (110) is defined as the first outer wall (120), and the space surrounded by the first outer wall (120), that is, the recessed part of the first body (110), is defined as the first space (140).

[0054] In one embodiment of the present invention, the first outer wall (120) is configured such that, as seen in FIG. 4, two walls (120a, 120c) spaced apart at a predetermined distance parallel to the x-axis and two walls (120b, 120d) spaced apart at a predetermined distance parallel to the y-axis are connected to each other, for a total of four walls (120a, 120b, 120c, 120d).

[0055] At this time, a plurality of spaced-apart first side through-holes (129) may be formed through the first outer wall (120), in the wall (120c) located in the positive direction of the y-axis among the two walls parallel to the x-axis and in the wall (120d) located in the positive direction of the x-axis among the two walls parallel to the y-axis.

[0056] In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 4, the first side through-hole (129) has a rectangular shape and is placed in the wall (120c) located in the positive direction of the y-axis among the two walls parallel to the x-axis, and in the wall (120d) located in the positive direction of the x-axis among the two walls parallel to the y-axis, but there may be no limitations on the number, shape, or arrangement of the first side through-hole (129).

[0057] In one embodiment, a first side through-hole plug (149) may be formed to be fitted and blocked in the first side through-hole (129). At this time, when the first side through-hole plug (149) is removed from the first side through-hole (129), the first side through-hole (129) is opened so that an ant can move from inside the first nest (100) to outside the first nest (100) through the first side through-hole (129).

[0058] That is, the first side through hole (129) can be a passage for ants to move through.

[0059] Meanwhile, a plurality of first bolt grooves (127) that are recessed in a cylindrical shape from the upper surface of the first body (110) may be spaced apart and formed on the upper part of the first outer wall (120). A bolt (660) is inserted into the first bolt groove (127) to connect the first body (110) and the first transparent member (170).

[0060] Additionally, the first body (110) may have a first coupling groove (128) formed in a rectangular shape from the outer surface of the first outer wall (120) at the lower part of some of the plurality of first bolt grooves (127).

[0061] At this time, the first coupling groove (128) and the first bolt groove (127) are not formed one-to-one, but one or more first bolt grooves (127) may be formed on the upper part of a single first coupling groove (128). The role of the first coupling groove (128) will be described later.

[0062] Meanwhile, referring to FIG. 4, a cylindrical first hose connection (121) may be formed protruding in the negative direction of the y-axis on the surface of the wall (120a) located in the negative direction of the y-axis among the two walls parallel to the x-axis of the first outer wall (120).

[0063] At this time, a cylindrical first hose connection through hole (122) is formed in the first hose connection part (121) that penetrates in the y-axis direction to the wall so that ants can move between the first space (140) of the first nest (100) and the food search area (300).

[0064] At this time, the first hose connection through hole (122) may be located concentrically with the first hose connection (121).

[0065] In addition, the first hose connection through hole (122) does not necessarily have to be cylindrical in shape and can have a polygonal column shape such as a square column or a hexagonal column.

[0066] Meanwhile, in the interior of the wall (120a) located in the negative direction of the y-axis among the two walls parallel to the x-axis of the first outer wall (120), a rectangular ant blocker groove (126) extending in the x-axis direction is formed, so that an ant blocker (123) capable of opening and closing the first hose connection part (121) can be inserted.

[0067] At this time, the ant blocker (123) may have a rectangular shape with a length in the x-axis direction shorter than the length in the x-axis direction of the ant blocker groove (126) so that it can slide in the x-axis direction as seen in FIG. 4 within the ant blocker groove (126), and the width in the y-axis direction of the ant blocker (123) may be formed to be slightly smaller than the width in the y-axis direction of the ant blocker groove (126) for smooth sliding of the ant blocker (123).

[0068] In addition, an ant blocker (123) is formed with an ant blocker through hole (124) that penetrates in the y-axis direction of FIG. 4.

[0069] When viewed from the y-axis direction of FIG. 4, the ant blocker through hole (124) overlaps with the first hose connection through hole (122) when the ant blocker (123) opens the first hose connection (121), so that the ant blocker (123) does not block the first hose connection through hole (122), allowing ants to move, and when the ant blocker (123) closes the first hose connection (121), it does not overlap with the first hose connection through hole (122), thereby blocking ants from moving.

[0070] At this time, the ant blocker penetration hole (124) may have a shape and size corresponding to the first hose connection penetration hole (122).

[0071] Additionally, as seen in FIG. 4, an ant blocker (123) may have an ant blocker control section (125) formed on the upper side of both ends in the x-axis direction, such that the height in the z-axis direction is lower than the height of other parts, allowing the ant blocker (123) to be opened and closed. A specific method of opening and closing the ant blocker (123) through the ant blocker control section (125) will be described later.

[0072] Meanwhile, in the first body (110), a first inner wall (130) may be formed that is connected to the first outer wall (120) inside the first space (140) and extends along the z-axis from the bottom surface.

[0073] At this time, the first inner wall (130) can divide the first space (140) into multiple zones.

[0074] In one embodiment of the present invention, the first space (140) is divided into five rectangular sections formed by being sunken from the upper surface of the first body (110) by the first inner wall (130), but there may be no limitations on the number, shape, or arrangement of the internal sections of the first space (140).

[0075] In the following description, with reference to FIG. 4 and FIG. 5, the area positioned furthest along the negative y-axis among the five areas is defined as the first area (141), and the second area (142), third area (143), fourth area (144), and fifth area (145) are described in clockwise order starting from the first area (141), respectively.

[0076] In one embodiment of the present invention, the first inner wall (130) may be formed such that the plurality of zones are not completely separated from each other, but are semi-open with a gap formed in a direction parallel to the z-axis so that ants can move.

[0077] In addition, the height (h1) of the first inner wall separating each zone does not necessarily have to be uniform.

[0078] In this embodiment, the height (h2) of the first inner wall between the first zone (141) and the fifth zone (145), between the second zone (142) and the fifth zone (145), and between the fourth zone (144) and the fifth zone (145) may be lower than the height (h2) of other first inner walls. The role of the part of the first inner wall (130) that has a lower height than other parts will be described later.

[0079] Meanwhile, each zone can have different humidity levels, and the method will be described later.

[0080] In addition, considering the habitat of the ants, the volume of the wet zone may be formed to be larger than the volume of the dry zone.

[0081] In this embodiment, the first to fourth zones (141, 142, 143, 144) correspond to wet zones, and the fifth zone (145) corresponds to dry zones.

[0082] At this time, the first zone (141), the fourth zone (144), and the fifth zone (145) may each be arranged to have one or more first side through holes (129) so as to facilitate movement of the ant from inside the first nest (100) to outside the first nest (100), and the first side through holes (129) may be located at the center of the area where each zone comes into contact with the first outer wall (120).

[0083] In this embodiment, one first side through-hole (129) is located in each of the first zone (141) and the fifth zone (145) and is penetrated in the x-axis direction, and two first side through-holes (129) are located in the fourth zone (144) and are penetrated in the x-axis direction and the y-axis direction, respectively, but there may be no limitation on the number and arrangement of the first side through-holes (129) formed in each zone.

[0084] In addition, in one embodiment of the present invention, the first side through hole (129) is blocked by fitting a first side through hole plug (149) into the first side through hole (129), so that movement from inside the first nest (100) of the ant to outside the first nest (100) can be blocked.

[0085] Meanwhile, a first inner wall (130) located between the first zone (141) and the fifth zone (145) and a first inner wall (130) located between the fourth zone (144) and the fifth zone (145) may have a first inner blocker groove (134) in the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped extending in the x-axis direction, formed by being recessed from the surface facing the first outer wall (120) of the first inner wall (130) that can open and close the spaces between each zone.

[0086] At this time, the first inner circuit breaker groove (134) may be formed only up to a height (h2) equal to the height of the part of the first inner wall that has a lower height than other parts of the first inner wall from the upper surface of the first inner wall (130).

[0087] Additionally, a first inner wall (130) located between the first zone (141) and the fifth zone (145) and a first inner wall (130) located between the fourth zone (144) and the fifth zone (145) may be formed with a first inner blocker (132) in the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped extending in the x-axis direction, which can open and close the sections between each zone by sliding in the x-axis direction in the first inner blocker groove (134).

[0088] At this time, the x-axis length of the first inner blocker (132) may be formed to be longer than the distance between the first outer wall (120) facing the first inner wall (130) in which the first inner blocker groove (134) is formed, in order to sufficiently block the movement of ants between the first zone (141) and the fifth zone (145) or between the fourth zone (144) and the fifth zone (145).

[0089] In one embodiment of the present invention, a total of two first internal circuit breakers (132) are formed within the first body (110), one on each of the first inner wall (130) located between the first zone (141) and the fifth zone (145) and the first inner wall (130) located between the fourth zone (144) and the fifth zone (145), but there may be no limitation on the number and arrangement thereof.

[0090] Meanwhile, a first internal circuit breaker (132) may have a first internal circuit breaker control part (133) formed in a rectangular shape that is recessed in the z-axis direction from the upper surface.

[0091] At this time, referring to FIG. 4, in this embodiment, the first internal circuit breaker control unit (133) may be formed at a position offset in the negative direction of the x-axis from the center of the first internal circuit breaker (132). A specific method of opening and closing the first internal circuit breaker (132) through the first internal circuit breaker control unit (133) will be described later.

[0092] Meanwhile, the first body (110) is directly connected to the first water supply unit (190) and includes a first water supply unit (150) that distributes water supplied from the first water supply unit (190) to the first space (140).

[0093] Referring to FIGS. 4 and 5, the first water supply section (150) is formed by the first outer wall (120) and the first inner wall (130) and may include the first water supply hole (152), the first screw groove (154), the first waterway (156), and the first waterway plug (158).

[0094] In this embodiment, the first water supply hole (152) is formed by being surrounded by the first outer wall (120) and the first inner wall (130), and has a cylindrical shape that is recessed from the upper surface of the first body (110), but there may be no limitations on its shape and size.

[0095] At this time, a first screw groove (154) may be formed on the inner surface of the first water supply hole (152). The first screw groove (154) can help to securely connect the first body (110) and the first water supply (190).

[0096] Referring to FIG. 5, the first water supply unit (150) includes a first water channel (156) connected to a first water supply hole (152). The first water channel (156) serves as a passage to ensure that water supplied from the first water supply unit (190) is evenly distributed to the first space (140), and may be formed inside the first outer wall (120) to minimize loss of supplied water.

[0097] At this time, a moisture transfer material (not shown), such as cotton wool or cotton, can be inserted into the first waterway (156) to stably supply water from the first water supply device (190) into the first space (140).

[0098] Referring to FIG. 5 in the present invention, the first waterway (156) can be broadly divided into a branch (156a) extending in the positive direction of the y-axis from the first water supply hole (152) and a branch (156b) extending in the positive direction of the x-axis from the first water supply hole (152).

[0099] At this time, the height of the bottom surface of the branch (156a) extending in the positive direction of the y-axis from the first water supply hole (152) of the first water channel (156) can be formed to be higher than the height of the bottom surface of the first water supply hole (152). Due to this difference in height, the humidity of the first space (140) may be formed unevenly.

[0100] In addition, in this embodiment, a branch (156a) extending in the positive direction of the y-axis from the first water supply hole (152) of the first water channel (156) is connected to the second zone (142) and the third zone (143) to supply water.

[0101] As in this embodiment, a branch (156a) extending in the positive direction of the y-axis from the first water supply hole (152) of the first water channel (156) may be formed to be open to the outside of the first body (110) so that the humidity transfer member (not shown) can be inserted into the first body (110).

[0102] At this time, after the humidity transfer member (not shown) is inserted into the first channel (156), the first channel plug (158) is fitted into the first channel (156) from the outside of the first body (110) to prevent moisture loss in the first space (140).

[0103] The first channel stopper (158) and the first channel (156) can be joined in any way other than a snap-fit connection to prevent moisture inside the first space (140) from leaking out.

[0104] Meanwhile, a branch (156b) extending in the positive direction of the x-axis from the first water supply hole (152) can be connected to the first zone (141) to supply moisture.

[0105] Referring to FIGS. 3 and 4, a first humidity control member (160) is coupled to the upper part of the first body (110) and connected to the first waterway (156) when coupled, so as to be able to maintain the humidity of a certain area uniformly with water supplied.

[0106] At this time, the first humidity control member (160) may be composed of materials such as gypsum, cement, etc.

[0107] The first humidity control member (160) may have a shape corresponding to the bottom surface of the first space (140) so as to be in close contact with the bottom surface of the first body (110) and connected to the first waterway (156).

[0108] In addition, the height of the first humidity control member can be formed to be equal to the height (h2) of the low first inner wall formed between the specific zones described above, the first zone (141) and the fifth zone (145), the second zone (142) and the fifth zone (145), and the fourth zone (144) and the fifth zone (145), so that it is not difficult for ants to move within the first space (140) while the first humidity control member (160) is combined with the first body (110).

[0109] When the first humidity control member (160) is coupled to the first body (110), the height of the first humidity control member and the height (h2) of the part of the first inner wall that has a lower height than other parts are the same, so the part corresponding to the first zone (141) of the first humidity control member (160) and the part corresponding to the fifth zone (145), the part corresponding to the second zone (142) and the part corresponding to the third zone (143), the part corresponding to the second zone (142) and the part corresponding to the fifth zone (145), and the part corresponding to the fourth zone (144) and the part corresponding to the fifth zone (145) can each be disconnected.

[0110] In addition, branches may be formed in the parts corresponding to the first zone (141), the second zone (142), and the third zone (143) of the first humidity control member (160), extending in the negative direction of the x-axis and connecting to the first waterway (156) so as to facilitate receiving moisture from the first waterway (156).

[0111] Due to the shape of the first humidity control member (160), each zone (141, 142, 143, 144, 145) can have different humidity levels.

[0112] In one embodiment of the present invention, the first humidity control member (160) can have a portion corresponding to the first zone (141), a portion corresponding to the second zone (142), a portion corresponding to the third zone (143), a portion corresponding to the fourth zone (144), and a portion corresponding to the fifth zone (145), such that the humidity of each corresponding portion is uniform, while the humidity of the entire first space (140) is non-uniform.

[0113] Additionally, the part corresponding to the 5th zone (145) of the first humidity control member (160) is disconnected from the first waterway (156) so that the humidity can be maintained at a lower level compared to other zones.

[0114] Accordingly, the first to fourth zones (141, 142, 143, 144) correspond to wet zones and the fifth zone (145) corresponds to dry zones, respectively, by the first humidity control member (160).

[0115] Referring to FIGS. 3 and 4, a first transparent member (170) separating the first space (140) from the outside may be located on the upper surface of the first body (110) to which the first humidity control member (160) is attached.

[0116] At this time, the first transparent member (170) may be made of a transparent material such as transparent acrylic or transparent plastic to facilitate observation of the inside of the first nest (100).

[0117] Additionally, the first transparent member (170) is in close contact with the upper surface of the first body (110), so that an ant located in the first space (140) can be prevented from escaping to the outside through the upper part of the first body (110).

[0118] At this time, the first transparent member (170) may have a shape corresponding to the upper surface of the first space (140) in order to efficiently prevent the ant located in the first space (140) from escaping.

[0119] In one embodiment of the present invention, the first transparent member (170) may be provided with a plurality of first bolt holes (173) at positions corresponding to the first bolt groove (127) formed in the first body (110) for bolt coupling with the first body (110).

[0120] At this time, the first transparent member (170) is coupled to the first body (110) by a plurality of bolts (660) that are simultaneously inserted into the first bolt groove (127) and the first bolt hole (173).

[0121] Meanwhile, the first transparent member (170) and the first body (110) can be joined through various joining methods other than bolt joining.

[0122] Additionally, referring to FIG. 4, a rectangular ant blocker control member (171) that penetrates the first transparent member (170) in the z-axis direction may be formed at a position corresponding to both sides in the x-axis direction of the ant blocker groove (126).

[0123] At this time, a pointed tool (not shown), such as tweezers, can be positioned on the ant blocker control part (125) from the outside through the ant blocker control part (171), and then the ant blocker (123) can be opened and closed by applying force in a direction parallel to the x-axis.

[0124] When the ant blocker (123) is open, the ant blocker (123) is positioned so that the hose connection through hole (122) and the ant blocker through hole (124) are aligned in a straight line, thereby enabling movement of the ant from inside the first nest (100) to outside the first nest (100) through the hose connection (121).

[0125] On the other hand, when the ant blocker (123) is closed, the ant blocker (123) is positioned so that the hose connection through hole (122) and the part of the ant blocker (123) where the ant blocker through hole (124) is not formed are aligned in a straight line, thereby blocking the movement of ants from inside the first nest (100) to outside the first nest (100) through the hose connection (121).

[0126] Additionally, the first transparent member (170) may be provided with a first internal circuit breaker adjustment member (172) that penetrates the first transparent member (170) in a rectangular shape at a position corresponding to the first internal circuit breaker groove (134).

[0127] At this time, a pointed tool (not shown) is positioned on the first internal circuit breaker control part (133) from the outside through the first internal circuit breaker control part (172), and the first internal circuit breaker (132) can be opened and closed in the same way as the method of opening and closing the ant circuit breaker (123).

[0128] When the first internal breaker (132) is open, the first internal breaker (132) is positioned inside the first internal breaker groove (134), allowing movement from the first zone (141) of the ant to the third zone (143) or from the third zone (143) of the ant to the fifth zone (145).

[0129] On the other hand, when the first internal breaker (132) is closed, the first internal breaker (132) is located outside the first internal breaker groove (134), so that the movement of the ant from the first zone (141) to the third zone (143) or the movement of the ant from the third zone (143) to the fifth zone (145) is blocked.

[0130] In the first transparent member (170), a plurality of small first air holes (174) may be formed that penetrate the first transparent member (170) in a direction parallel to the z-axis so as to block ants from escaping from inside the first nest (100) to the outside, but allow air circulation from inside the first nest (100) to the outside.

[0131] Additionally, the first transparent member (170) may be provided with a plurality of first magnetic parts (175). The first magnetic parts (175) can connect the first transparent member (170) and the first light filter panel by magnetic force.

[0132] Referring to FIGS. 3 and 4, the first nest (100) may be provided with a first light filter panel (180) in the shape of a plate parallel to the xy plane, which blocks only specific wavelengths of light and is positioned above the first transparent member (170) in consideration of the habits of ants that are active in dark places.

[0133] At this time, the first light filter panel (180) may be made of a transparent material such as transparent acrylic or transparent plastic to block specific wavelengths of light while facilitating observation of the inside of the first nest (100).

[0134] Additionally, the first light filter panel (180) can block light of wavelengths other than the red light wavelength, which ants active in dark places perceive as relatively dark.

[0135] Meanwhile, the first light filter panel (180) may have a plate shape parallel to the xy plane, with the positions corresponding to the first bolt groove (127) and the first bolt hole (173) cut out.

[0136] With the shape of the first light filter panel (180), the first transparent member (170) to be described later and the first light filter panel (180) can be combined without lifting.

[0137] Additionally, a plurality of first panel air holes (184) penetrating the first light filter panel (180) in the z-axis direction may be formed at a position corresponding to the first air hole (174) of the first transparent member (170) to enable air circulation inside and outside the first nest (100).

[0138] Additionally, the first light filter panel (180) is provided with a second magnetic part (185) at a position corresponding to the first magnetic part (175) of the first transparent member (170), so that the first transparent member (170) and the first light filter panel (180) can be coupled by magnetic force.

[0139] The first transparent member (170) and the first light filter panel (180) can be joined without lifting through magnetic coupling. This connection without lifting makes it easy to observe the inside of the first nest (100) from the outside.

[0140] At this time, if the first light filter panel (180) can be combined with the first transparent member (170) without lifting, various other combinations other than magnetic coupling may be possible.

[0141] Referring to FIGS. 3 and 4, the first nest (100) may include a first water supply device (190) connected to the first body (110) to supply moisture inside the first space (140).

[0142] In one embodiment of the present invention, the first water supply device (190) is directly connected to the first water supply device hole (152) of the first body (110) and can supply moisture into the first space (140) through the first waterway (156).

[0143] Additionally, as described above, water supplied to the first space (140) through the first water supply device (190) may be supplied only to a part of the first space (140) due to the shape of the first waterway (156) and the first humidity control member (160).

[0144] The first water dispenser (190) may include a first water supply container (192) for storing moisture and a first stopper (196). A first screw thread (194) may be formed on the outer surface of the inlet / outlet of the first water supply container (192).

[0145] At this time, the first water tank (192) may be made of materials such as glass or plastic.

[0146] The first screw thread (194) formed on the outer surface of the inlet / outlet of the first water tank (192) can be formed in a shape corresponding to the first screw groove (154) of the first body (110).

[0147] Due to the shape of the first screw thread (194) and the first screw groove (154), the first water dispenser (190) can be connected to the first body (110) through a screw connection.

[0148] Meanwhile, the first stopper (196) is a component of the first water dispenser (190) that combines with the first water tank (192) to prevent the water inside the first water tank (192) from pouring out all at once.

[0149] In this embodiment, the first stopper (196) is fitted with the first water tank (192), but as long as the first stopper (196) can control the amount of water discharged from the first water tank (192) at once, the first stopper (196) can be connected to the first water tank (192) by various methods such as screw connection.

[0150] At this time, the first stopper (196) may be made of a material such as plastic or silicone.

[0151] In addition, a plurality of first plug holes (not shown) penetrating in a direction parallel to the z-axis may be formed in the first plug (196).

[0152] The first stopper hole (not shown) allows the water in the first water tank (192) to not be poured out by surface tension during the process in which the first stopper (196) is combined with the first water tank (192) and combined with the first body (110), while the water in the first water tank (190) is discharged at a constant rate and transferred to the first humidity control member (160) when the first water supply device (190) comes into contact with the humidity transfer member (not shown) described above after being combined with the first body (110).

[0153] At this time, multiple first plug holes (not shown) may have any arbitrary number, size, and arrangement capable of performing the above role.

[0154] FIG. 6 is a perspective view of a second nest (200) of an ant farm (10) according to one embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 7 is an exploded perspective view of a second nest (200) of an ant farm (10) according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0155] Referring to FIGS. 1, 2, 6 and 7, the second nest (200) is configured to be connected to the first nest (100) so that ants can move between them, thereby providing an additional second space (240) for ants to form a colony in the ant breeding facility (10), and has the same configuration as the first nest (100) except for some configurations.

[0156] In one embodiment of the present invention, the second nest (200) has a shape corresponding to the first nest (100), but the second nest (200) may have any shape different from the first nest (100).

[0157] At this time, the second nest (200) has a configuration corresponding to the configuration of the first nest (100), but there may be omission of some configurations and differences in some shapes between the configurations. Among the configurations of the second nest (200), the description of the configurations identical to the configuration of the first nest (100) is omitted, and the description focuses on the configurations that are distinguished from the first nest (100).

[0158] The second nest (200) may include a second body (210), a second humidity control member (260), a second transparent member (270), a second light filter panel (280), and a second water supply device (290), just like the first nest (100).

[0159] However, unlike the first nest (100), the second nest (200) may not include a configuration corresponding to each of the hose connection part (121), hose connection through hole (122), ant blocker (123), ant blocker through hole (124), ant blocker control part (125) and ant blocker groove (126).

[0160] At this time, the second nest (200) may be provided with a second side through-hole (229) and a second side through-hole plug (249) at a position corresponding to the hose connection part (121) of the first nest (100).

[0161] The shape and role of the second side through hole (229) and the second side through hole plug (249) correspond to the shape and role of the first side through hole (129) and the second side through hole plug (149).

[0162] In addition, unlike the first nest (100), the second nest (200) may not have a configuration corresponding to the ant blocker control (171) formed in the second transparent member (270).

[0163] Meanwhile, the second nest (200) may have a shape corresponding to the first nest (100), and the second space (240) may be divided into areas with different numbers and shapes than the first space (140).

[0164] At this time, the humidity of the multiple zones of the second space (240) can be made different from the humidity of the multiple zones of the first space (140).

[0165] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, the second nest (200) may be connected to the first nest (100) in the x-axis direction or the y-axis direction, and one or more second nests (200) may be connected to the first nest (100) in both the x-axis direction and the y-axis direction.

[0166] Additionally, the second nest (200) may be indirectly connected to the first nest (100).

[0167] An ant farm (10) according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a total of three second nests (200), each of which is directly connected to the first nest (100) in the x-axis direction and the y-axis direction, and one second nest (200) that is indirectly connected to the first nest (100).

[0168] Thus, in the ant breeding facility (10) according to the present invention, one or more second nests (200) may be connected to a first nest (100), and there may be no limit to the number thereof. In addition, there may be no limit to the connection direction or arrangement of the second nests (200).

[0169] Additionally, the second nest (200) may be connected to the first nest (100) from the time ant rearing begins, or it may be additionally connected to the first nest (100) when there is a need to provide an additional second space (240) for the ants to form a colony after ant rearing has progressed to some extent.

[0170] In one embodiment of the present invention, the second nest (200) can be joined to the first nest (100) using a first connecting member (620), a second connecting member (640), and a bolt (660).

[0171] In this embodiment, the first connecting member (620) has a rectangular shape with rounded edges parallel to the z-axis and may have two holes parallel to the z-axis.

[0172] Additionally, the second connecting member (640) has a rectangular shape with rounded edges parallel to the z-axis and a width twice as wide as the first connecting member (620), and may have four holes parallel to the z-axis.

[0173] In this embodiment, the height of each of the first coupling member (620) and the second coupling member (640) is formed to be smaller than the z-axis width of the first coupling groove (128) and the second coupling groove (228).

[0174] To combine the first nest (100) and the second nest (200), each of the first connecting member (620) and the second connecting member (640) may be positioned such that some of the holes formed in each are inserted into the connecting grooves (128, 228) of each nest between the first nest (100) and the second nest (200) or between the second nest (200) and the second nest (200).

[0175] At this time, a plurality of bolts (660) can be inserted in a direction parallel to the z-axis to simultaneously penetrate the bolt grooves (127, 227) of each nest located above the coupling grooves (128, 228) of each nest and the holes formed in the first coupling member (620) and the second coupling member (640), respectively, thereby coupling each nest (100, 200).

[0176] In addition, as in one embodiment of the present invention, when combining the first nest (100) and the second nest (200) and when combining the second nest (200) and the second nest (200), one or more of the first connecting member (620) and the second connecting member (640) may each be used.

[0177] At this time, the second nest (200) can be connected to the first nest (100) using the first connecting member (620), the second connecting member (640), and the bolt (660) as described above, but it can be connected to the first nest (100) using any connecting method as long as the ants of the first nest (100) can move to the second nest (200) and the ants of the second nest (200) can move to the first nest (100).

[0178] FIG. 8 is a perspective view of a food search area (300) and a first external blocker (400) according to an embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 9 is an exploded perspective view of a food search area (300) according to an embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 10 is an exploded perspective view of a first external blocker (400) according to an embodiment of the present invention.

[0179] Referring to FIGS. 8, 9 and 10, the first external blocker (400) is directly connected to the food search area (300) which has a third space (312) for feeding ants in the first nest (100) and the second nest (200), and the movement of ants between the first nest (100) and the food search area (300) can be blocked by opening and closing the first external blocker (400).

[0180] At this time, referring to FIG. 9, the food search area (300) may include a case (310) having a third space (312), an upper panel cover (320), an upper panel (330), and a lid panel (340).

[0181] In this embodiment, the case (310) has a cube shape with an open top surface, but the case can have any shape that can have a third space (312).

[0182] A food search hole (314) penetrating in the x-axis direction may be formed on one side of the case (310). The food search hole (314) serves as a passage through which ants can move inside and outside the food search area.

[0183] Additionally, a plurality of third bolt holes (316) may be formed on one side of the case (310), having a cross-sectional area smaller than the feed search hole (314) and penetrating in the x-axis direction. The third bolt holes (316) can be used to connect the feed search area (300) and the first external blocker (400) using a bolt (660).

[0184] On the upper part of the case (310), an upper panel (330) in the shape of a square plate with a hole in the center in the z-axis direction can be positioned parallel to the xy plane covering the upper surface of the case (310).

[0185] Additionally, the food search area (300) may include an upper panel cover (320) that allows the upper panel (330) to be stably positioned on the upper part of the case (310).

[0186] In this embodiment, the upper panel cover (320) has a shape that wraps around the upper outer surface of the case (310) and is fitted together with the case (310), and the upper panel (330) is fitted together on the upper part of the upper panel cover (320) so that the case (310) and the upper panel (330) are combined.

[0187] At this time, the upper panel (330) and the case (310) are combined using the upper panel cover (320), so that the separation and reassembly of the food search area (300) can be easily done.

[0188] Additionally, the food search area (300) may include a lid panel (340) that can be opened and closed, having a shape corresponding to a portion perforated in the z-axis direction of the upper panel (330) on the upper part of the upper panel (330).

[0189] At this time, one or more handles (342) may be formed on the upper surface of the lid panel (340) to facilitate opening and closing.

[0190] The user can open the food search area (300) by lifting the lid panel (340) using the handle (342), and close the food search area (300) by placing the lid panel (340) back on the upper panel (330) using the handle (342).

[0191] Additionally, the lid panel (340) may be formed with a plurality of small ventilation holes (344) penetrating in the z-axis direction to allow air inside and outside the food search area (300) to pass through each other, thereby providing a suitable environment for raising ants.

[0192] Meanwhile, referring to FIGS. 8 and 10, a first external blocker (400) that is directly connected to the food search area (300) and can block the movement of ants from inside the food search area (300) to outside the food search area (300) may include a first main body (410), a first transparent cover (420), and a first external blocking plate (430).

[0193] At this time, the first main body (410) may have a rectangular shape and may be provided with a second hose connection part (411) in the shape of a cylinder protruding in the positive direction of the x-axis.

[0194] Additionally, the first main body (410) may have a second hose connection part (411) penetrating in the x-axis and a second hose connection part penetration hole (412) concentric with the first hose connection part penetrating hole, which enables movement of ants inside and outside the food search area (300).

[0195] At this time, a first external blocker groove (414) in the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped extending in the y-axis direction from the upper surface of the first main body (410) may be formed so that a first external blocking plate (430) that directly blocks ant movement can be inserted into the first main body (410). The shape and role of the first external blocking plate (430) will be described later.

[0196] Additionally, the first main body (410) may be provided with a plurality of fourth bolt holes (416) formed through parallel to the x-axis.

[0197] In this embodiment, the first main body (410) may be provided with two fourth bolt holes (416) located on both sides in the y-axis direction.

[0198] At this time, two bolts (660) can simultaneously penetrate the fourth bolt hole (416) of the first external blocker (400) and the third bolt hole (316) of the food search area (300) so that the first external blocker (400) and the food search area (300) can be combined.

[0199] Additionally, a plurality of third bolt grooves (418) formed parallel to the z-axis may be formed in the first main body (410). A bolt (660) may be inserted into the third bolt groove (418) to connect the first main body (410) and the first transparent cover (420).

[0200] Meanwhile, the first external circuit breaker (400) may include a first transparent cover (420) located on the upper part of the first main body (410).

[0201] In this embodiment, the first transparent cover (420) has a rectangular plate shape parallel to the xz plane, but the first transparent cover (420) can have any shape that covers the upper surface of the first body (410).

[0202] At this time, a first external circuit breaker adjustment member (422) in the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped that penetrates the first transparent cover (420) in the z-axis direction may be formed in the first transparent cover (420) at a position corresponding to both sides in the y-axis direction of the first external circuit breaker groove (414). The role of the first external circuit breaker adjustment member (422) will be described later.

[0203] A plurality of fifth bolt holes (424) penetrating the first transparent cover (420) in the z-axis direction may be formed in the first transparent cover (420).

[0204] In this embodiment, the first body (410) and the first transparent cover (420) are joined by the bolt (660) passing through the third bolt groove (418) of the first body (410) and the fifth bolt hole (424) of the first transparent cover (420) simultaneously, but the first body (410) and the first transparent cover (420) may be joined by various arbitrary methods other than bolt joining.

[0205] Meanwhile, the first external blocker (400) may include a first external blocking plate (430) that is inserted into the first external blocker groove (414) of the first main body (410) to enable blocking of ant movement inside the food search area (300) and outside the food search area (300).

[0206] At this time, the first outer blocking plate (430) may have a rectangular shape that is extended shorter in the y-axis direction than the first outer blocking groove (414) so that it can slide in the y-axis direction within the first outer blocking groove (414) inside the first main body (410).

[0207] In addition, a first outer blocking plate through-hole (432) formed parallel to the y-axis, having a size and shape corresponding to the second hose connection through-hole (412), may be formed at the center of the xz plane of the first outer blocking plate (430).

[0208] At this time, when the first external blocking plate (430) is inserted into the first main body (410), the height of the first external blocking plate (430) in the z-axis direction can be formed to be equal to the height of the first main body (410) in the z-axis direction so that the first external blocking plate (430) does not protrude outside the first main body (410) while performing the function of blocking the movement of ants.

[0209] In addition, a first outer blocking plate adjustment part (434) may be formed at the upper ends of both ends in the y-axis direction of the first outer blocking plate (430), with a step so as to have a lower height in the z-axis direction than other parts.

[0210] The first external breaker (400) can be opened and closed by positioning a pointed tool (not shown), such as tweezers, on the first external breaker plate adjustment part (434) from the outside through the first external breaker adjustment part (422), and then applying force in a direction parallel to the y-axis to push.

[0211] At this time, when the first external blocker (400) is open, the first external blocker plate (430) is positioned so that the second hose connection through hole (412) and the first external blocker plate through hole (432) are aligned in a straight line, allowing the ant to move through the first external blocker (400).

[0212] On the other hand, when the first external blocker (400) is closed, the first external blocker plate (430) is positioned such that the second hose connection through-hole (412) is aligned in a straight line with the part of the first external blocker plate (430) where the first external blocker plate through-hole (432) is not formed, so that ants cannot pass through the first external blocker (400).

[0213] In this embodiment, the first external blocker (400) combined with the food search area (300) may be directly connected to the first nest (100), but as in one embodiment of the present invention, the first external blocker (400) and the first nest (100) may be connected using a soft hose (680).

[0214] The soft hose (680) can be fitted into the second hose connection (411) of the first external circuit breaker (400) and the first hose connection (121) of the first nest (100), respectively, to connect the first external circuit breaker (400) and the first nest (100).

[0215] At this time, the flexible hose (680) connects the first external blocker (400) and the first nest (100) to enable ant movement between the food search area (300) and the first nest (100).

[0216] In this way, when the food search area (300) and the first nest (100) are connected through the soft hose (680), the distance between the food search area (300) and the first nest (100) can be adjusted according to the user's needs.

[0217] In addition, when the food search area (300) and the first nest (100) are connected through a soft hose (680), vibrations can be dampened so that vibrations generated when operating the food search area (300) are not transmitted directly to the first nest (100).

[0218] In addition, when the food search area (300) and the first nest (100) are connected through a soft hose (680), the first nest (100) of the food search area (300) can be easily detached.

[0219] The third space (312) of the food search area (300) is a space where ants are provided with food, and where ant excrement, leftover waste, and ant carcasses accumulate.

[0220] At this time, the food search area (300) needs to be cleaned, but if it is connected to the first nest (100) through a soft hose (680), the separation of the food search area (300) from the first nest (100) and the cleaning of the food search area (300) can be simplified.

[0221] In addition, the food search area (300) is composed of multiple separable components such as a case (310), an upper panel cover (320), an upper panel (330), and a lid panel (340), so that cleaning of the food search area (300) can be made easier.

[0222] In addition, by blocking the movement of ants between the food search area (300) and the first nest (100) through the first external blocker (400) or the ant blocker (123), the loss of ants within the ant breeding area (10) can be prevented during the process of separating the food search area (300) and the first nest (100).

[0223] FIG. 11 is a perspective view of an ant breeding facility (10) according to another embodiment of the present invention.

[0224] Referring to FIG. 11, a first external blocker (400) is connected to a food search area (300), the first external blocker (400) and the first nest (100) are connected via a flexible hose (680), and a second external blocker (500) can be connected to the first outer wall (120) of the first nest (100).

[0225] The second external blocker (500) is combined with the first nest (100) or the second nest (200) and can block the movement of ants from inside to outside and from outside to inside each nest (100, 200) through opening and closing.

[0226] The second external circuit breaker (500) has the same configuration as the first external circuit breaker (400), except for some configurations. At this time, the configuration of the second external circuit breaker (500) that is identical to the first external circuit breaker (400) is omitted from the description below.

[0228] However, the second main body (510) does not have a configuration corresponding to the fourth bolt hole (416) formed in the first main body (410), and has a plurality of third coupling grooves (516) recessed from the opposite side of the surface where the third hose connection part (511) is formed.

[0229] The third coupling groove (516) of the second external circuit breaker (500) and the first coupling groove (128) of the first nest (100) or the second coupling groove (228) of the second nest (200) are coupled through the first coupling member (620), the second coupling member (640), and the bolt (660), so that the second external circuit breaker (500) and the first nest (100) or the second nest (200) are coupled.

[0230] Additionally, the second external circuit breaker (500) may be positioned within the ant farm (10) such that the third hose connection through-hole (512) and the first side through-hole (129) or the second side through-hole (229) are aligned in a straight line.

[0231] One or more second external circuit breakers (500) may be placed within the ant breeding facility (10), and various configurations such as additional food search facilities (300) and experimental equipment may be connected to the third hose connection (511).

[0232] As described above, the ant farm (10) according to the embodiment of the present invention allows for observation of internal and external activities of the ant nest while isolated from the outside, and the size of the ant farm (10) can be expanded while maintaining the state of isolation from the outside.

[0233] In addition, the ant breeding facility (10) according to the embodiment of the present invention can provide an environment with various humidity levels inside the ant breeding facility (10) through various configurations.

[0234] Although embodiments of the present invention have been described, the spirit of the present invention is not limited to the embodiments presented in this specification. Those skilled in the art who understand the spirit of the present invention may easily propose other embodiments within the scope of the same spirit by adding, changing, deleting, or adding components, and such embodiments shall also be considered to fall within the scope of the spirit of the present invention.
