Abstract
Description
Technology Field
[0001] The present invention relates to an overcurrent blocking device with an integrated delay trip and instantaneous trip, and more specifically, to an overcurrent blocking device with an integrated delay trip and instantaneous trip that instantaneously blocks high current. Background Technology
[0002] Generally, an overcurrent circuit breaker is a safety device that detects when an overload or short-circuit current exceeding the rated capacity occurs in an electrical circuit and immediately disconnects the circuit. In addition, depending on the protection purpose and the magnitude of the current, the overcurrent circuit breaker adopts and uses both a delayed tripping method using a thermal mechanism and an instantaneous tripping method using an electromagnetic mechanism.
[0003] Specifically, the above-mentioned delayed trip is a method in which, when a relatively low overcurrent persists for a certain period of time, an internal bimetal gradually bends due to thermal expansion and strikes the trip bar to cut off the power. On the other hand, the above-mentioned instantaneous trip is a method in which, when a massive short-circuit current rapidly flows in, a powerful electromagnetic force generated in the coil causes the plunger to strongly protrude and immediately strike the trip bar.
[0004] However, conventional overcurrent circuit breakers have a fundamental limitation in that their internal structure becomes very complex because they must implement two methods with completely different operating principles within a single device. In particular, a number of complex link structures are required to ensure that the gradually bending bimetal and the straight-firing plunger strike the same trip bar at the correct timing and angle, respectively.
[0005] Moreover, the assembly process becomes very complex, which not only increases manufacturing costs but also raises the probability of malfunction where the circuit breaker fails to operate in time during emergencies due to gaps or mechanical friction between numerous parts.
[0006] In addition, the prior art had a structural problem in that it was very difficult to flexibly adjust the operating sensitivity of the instantaneous trip during the manufacturing process or to change it to meet market demands. That is, in order to change the reference point of the instantaneous trip, such as whether the overcurrent circuit breaker trips at 5 times or 10 times the rated current, the electrical specifications of the coil, which is the core driving source, must be completely redesigned.
[0007] This is because, in order to change the force itself that pulls the plunger within the same mechanical structure, the only way is to adjust the strength of the magnetic field by physically changing the number of turns of the coil or the thickness of the coil wire. Consequently, to meet the demands of the field requiring various sensitivities, manufacturers face a massive cost burden of separately producing dozens of different coil assemblies for each specification and holding inventory.
[0008] Furthermore, the aforementioned conventional instantaneous trip structure contains a serious structural defect in which mechanical instability is maximized when the circuit breaker operates due to an actual extreme short-circuit accident. Specifically, at the moment when a massive short-circuit current flows into the coil, tremendous physical shock and vibration occur throughout the interior of the circuit breaker, along with a powerful magnetic field that is tens of times stronger than usual.
[0009] At this time, most of the conventional coil assemblies and the internal frame structures surrounding them consist of simple interlocking or screw fastening structures that cannot perfectly prevent movement in the up-down or left-right directions. Consequently, when a strong magnetic force is generated, the internal components frequently fail to withstand the force and are lifted upwards or twisted severely to the left and right.
[0010] Accordingly, if the position of the core striking drive unit is momentarily misaligned, the linear movement trajectory of the plunger, which should be strongly sucked into the coil and ejected, also deviates from its original correct path. Consequently, the plunger, having deviated from its trajectory, gets caught on other internal parts or misses the target, the trip bar, resulting in a malfunction known as trip failure.
[0011] Consequently, there was a problem in that the inability to immediately cut off massive short-circuit currents, which could lead to fires or explosions, resulted in the worst possible consequences, causing not only damage to expensive electrical equipment but also serious casualties. [0012] Korean Registered Patent No. 10-2088936 The problem to be solved
[0013] In order to solve the above problem, the present invention has as its objective to provide an overcurrent blocking device that integrates delay trip and instantaneous trip, which instantaneously blocks high current. means of solving the problem
[0014] To solve the above problem, the present invention comprises: a housing portion having a first terminal portion and a second terminal portion spaced apart on the front and rear sides; a movable switching portion disposed between the first terminal portion and the second terminal portion for power connection, and having a pressure connecting plate portion at the front end that provides an upward resilient restoring force to selectively make a contact connection to the first terminal portion; a latch portion that selectively resiliently presses the pressure connecting plate portion downward by rotational operation of a handle portion; a trip switching portion having a trip driving portion for a trip operation that selectively releases the resilient pressing state of the latch portion to release the connection between the first terminal portion and the second terminal portion; and a bimetal portion connected to the rear end of the pressure connecting plate portion and, as it heats up, presses the trip driving portion to induce the trip operation. The present invention provides a delayed trip and instantaneous trip integrated overcurrent blocking device comprising: a coil portion electrically connected between an inlet terminal portion provided on the front side of the first terminal portion and the first terminal portion, and having a hollow shunt coil wound so as to be positioned facing the upper side of the trip driving portion; and a shunt driving portion that induces the trip operation by applying pressure to the trip driving portion by means of a suction magnetic force generated in a shunt bobbin inserted into the hollow of the shunt coil when an overcurrent occurs. Effects of the invention
[0015] Through the above-mentioned means of solution, the present invention provides the following effects.
[0016] First, mechanical reliability can be ensured by increasing the trip response speed, as the coil part equipped with a hollow shunt coil wound to be positioned opposite to the trip driving part and the shunt driving part that induces the trip operation directly contact the trip driving part to perform an instantaneous trip.
[0017] Second, by performing a delayed trip through a heated bimetal section when an abnormal current exceeding a preset normal current standard flows in, and performing an instantaneous trip through an immediate shunt drive section when a sudden transient current occurs, the line can be separated according to the magnitude and nature of the incoming abnormal current, thereby providing dual safety performance against surge shock and fire hazards.
[0018] Third, by precisely changing the instantaneous cutoff threshold setting value of the transient current through mechanical tuning that adjusts the physical length ratio between the shunt rod and the head rod, component compatibility corresponding to a wide range of transient current magnitudes and trip specifications can be maximized, and overall design precision for implementing customized cutoff characteristics can be dramatically improved. [0024] As shown in Fig. 1, in the past, when multiple circuit breakers were arranged along the longitudinal and transverse directions, the power side and load side of each circuit breaker were arranged opposite each other along the longitudinal direction for wiring convenience when distributing power lines and load lines.
[0025] In other words, the switch equipped in each circuit breaker was turned on when positioned upward on one side, whereas it was turned on when positioned downward on the other side spaced longitudinally, raising concerns that it could cause user confusion during power supply and cutoff, thereby increasing the risk of fire.
[0026] Meanwhile, referring to FIGS. 2 and 3, the overcurrent blocking device (100) with integrated delay trip and instantaneous trip includes a housing part (110), a movable switching part (120), a latch part (130), a trip switching part (140), a solenoid (150), a leakage current detection circuit board (160), and a contact bar switching part (170). Additionally, a bimetal part (210), a coil part (220), and a shunt driving part (230) are also included.
[0027] First, a housing part (110) is configured such that a cover (118) through which a pressure test switch (180) passes is attached to the upper part, and a first terminal part (111) and a second terminal part (112) are provided on each side. Specifically, the cover (118) is designed as a plate-shaped structure capable of covering the entire open upper surface of the housing part (110) to block external exposure of internal components.
[0028] And, the pressure test switch (180) that vertically penetrates a specific location of the cover (118) acts as a medium to safely transmit physical pressure from the outside to the internal circuit below.
[0029] Meanwhile, the housing portion (110) is formed to include an internal space of a certain size so that multiple components of the circuit breaker can be safely stored and assembled inside. That is, the internal space is partitioned three-dimensionally so that the current sensor, the image current transformer (161), the solenoid (150), the trip switching portion (140), and the leakage current detection circuit board (160) can be concentrated without causing mechanical interference with each other.
[0030] Furthermore, a plurality of partition walls are integrally formed protruding from the interior of the housing portion (110) to support each component so that it is firmly seated without shaking. Additionally, between the partition walls, a precise installation groove or hole structure may be provided three-dimensionally so that internal components can be inserted and fixed in an accurate position.
[0031] In addition, the first terminal section (111) and the second terminal section (112) are spaced apart from each other on both sides of the housing section (110) to physically and electrically connect with external wires. That is, the first terminal section (111) is provided on one side of the housing section (110) and functions as a power input section that is directly connected to the external main power supply wiring. Furthermore, the first terminal section (111) is subdivided into a pair of terminals so that positive and negative wires can be independently separated and accommodated, rather than a single wire path.
[0032] On the other hand, the second terminal section (112) is provided on the other side of the housing section (110) to be positioned oppositely, and operates as a load output section that receives power through a circuit breaker and is connected to an electrical product. In addition, the second terminal section (112) is also formed in the form of a pair of terminals capable of individually connecting power lines so as to electrically correspond to the terminal arrangement structure of the first terminal section (111).
[0033] Meanwhile, a movable switching unit (120) is provided for power connection between the first terminal unit (111) and the second terminal unit (112), and is equipped with a pressure connecting plate unit (121) that provides an upward elastic restoring force to selectively connect contacts to the first terminal unit (111) at the front end. Specifically, the movable switching unit (120) is positioned between the first terminal unit (111) and the second terminal unit (112) to form a selective power connection path.
[0034] Additionally, the above-described movable switching unit (120) may be configured to include a pressure connecting plate unit (121) that moves up and down for contact connection, and a fixed terminal plate in the form of a base metal plate that supports the rear end thereof and transmits power toward the second terminal unit (112). Here, the pressure connecting plate unit (121) may be formed as an elastic conductive plate, the rear end of which is fixed in close contact with the upper surface of the fixed terminal plate, and the front end of which extends toward the first terminal unit (111).
[0035] Additionally, a movable contact part (116) is integrally formed on the lower surface of the front end of the pressure connection plate part (121) to directly contact the fixed contact part located on the side of the first terminal part (111) and conduct current. At this time, when the pressure connection plate part (121) is in a basic state where no external force pressing from above is present, it possesses an inherent elastic restoring force directed upward so that the movable contact part (116) is always separated from the first terminal part (111).
[0036] Meanwhile, the rear end of the pressure connection plate (121) can be firmly fixed and supported without shaking on the bottom surface of the housing part (110) via a rivet or fastening pin while overlapping in surface contact with the fixed terminal plate. Additionally, the fixed terminal plate is formed from a metal conductor with excellent conductivity, and one end thereof is maintained in a state connected to the second terminal part (112).
[0037] Accordingly, when the crossbar (131) of the latch portion (130) described later, located at the top, is linked with the handle operation to press one side of the back surface of the pressure connection plate portion (121) downward, the front end of the pressure connection plate portion (121) overcomes its own elastic restoring force and moves downward. Accordingly, the movable contact portion (116) that has moved downward comes into contact with the first terminal portion (111), and a closed circuit is completed in which the incoming current is output to the second terminal portion (112) through the movable contact portion (116), the pressure connection plate portion (121), and the fixed terminal plate.
[0038] On the other hand, when the trip driving unit (141) is activated by the detection of an abnormal current and the mechanical pressure on the upper side is mechanically released, the pressure connecting plate unit (121) immediately returns to its original upper position by the accumulated inherent elastic restoring force. Accordingly, the physical contact connection between the first terminal unit (111) and the front end of the pressure connecting plate unit (121) is rapidly separated, and the power supply path inside the circuit breaker can be safely cut off.
[0039] Meanwhile, the latch portion (130) is included such that, in order to selectively apply downward resilient pressure to the pressure connecting plate portion (121) by rotational operation of the handle portion (123), the front portion is positioned facing the upper surface of the crossbar (131), and the rear portion is supported in contact with the upper surface of the inclined step of the trip switching portion (140) to apply downward pressure to the crossbar (131).
[0040] Specifically, the latch portion (130) functions as a link structure that receives mechanical rotational force from the handle portion (123) inside the housing portion (110) and mediates downward pressure to the movable switching portion (120) via the crossbar (131). Additionally, a pressure member coupled to the lower end of the handle portion (123) is coupled to the lifting connection portion formed on the central side of the latch portion (130) so as to be linked in a vertical direction through a hinge structure.
[0041] Additionally, the rear end of the latch portion (130) is positioned opposite the rear side of the crossbar (131) and is selectively supported in contact with the upper surface of the inclined step protruding forward from the front of the trip switching portion (140), which rotates back and forth around the lower end.
[0042] Meanwhile, the front end of the latch portion (130) is positioned to face the latch pressure portion formed on one side of the upper surface of the crossbar (131), which is elastically supported upward through an elastic means provided at the lower end. Accordingly, when the handle portion (123) is rotated in the connection direction by a user, the pressure member moves downward, thereby moving the entire latch portion (130) downward in conjunction.
[0043] Furthermore, since the rear end of the latch portion (130) is physically caught and supported by the inclined step of the trip switching portion (140), the front end of the descending latch portion (130) rotates downward around the rear end acting as a support point. Consequently, as the front end of the latch portion (130) rotating downward forcibly presses the latch pressing portion of the crossbar (131) downward, the pressing connecting plate portion (121) crossing the passing portion of the crossbar (131) moves downward together.
[0044] Through this, the movable contact part (116) and the fixed contact part are brought into close contact through the downward movement of the pressure connection plate part (121), thereby stably maintaining the electrical current connection state inside the circuit breaker.
[0045] On the other hand, when the trip driving unit (141) is activated by detecting an abnormal current inside the circuit breaker and the trip switching unit (140) is retracted in the rearward direction, the rear end of the latch unit (130) is mechanically separated from the inclined step. Then, as the restraining force supported by the inclined step is lost, the downward pressure pressing the latch unit (130) by the return means of the handle unit (123) and the elastic means at the bottom of the crossbar (131) is released.
[0046] That is, as the latch portion (130) is physically separated from the crossbar (131) and the trip switching portion (140), the pressure connecting plate portion (121) immediately returns to the upper side by its inherent elastic restoring force, thereby cutting off the power.
[0047] In addition, a trip switching unit (140) is provided, which is equipped with a trip driving unit (141) for a trip operation that selectively releases the resilient pressure state of the latch unit (130) to disconnect the connection between the first terminal unit (111) and the second terminal unit (112). Specifically, the trip switching unit (140) may be vertically positioned inside the housing unit (110) so as to rotate back and forth around the lower end.
[0048] Additionally, the inclined step is integrally formed on the front portion of the trip switching portion (140) in a shape that protrudes forward so that the rear end of the latch portion (130) can be closely attached and seated thereon. At this time, the inclined step serves as a restraining point that provides mechanical locking and support force to maintain the state in which the latch portion (130) is pressed downward by the operation of the handle portion (123).
[0049] Furthermore, the trip driving unit (141), which provides mechanical power to apply physical impact or forcibly pull when an abnormal current occurs, is directly coupled to one side of the trip switching unit (140). Moreover, the trip driving unit (141) includes a recessed locking groove to allow the plunger (151) of the solenoid (150) to be locked and connected, and may have multiple contact surfaces that are struck by a bimetal or shunt bobbin (222).
[0050] Accordingly, when physical displacement occurs on the side of the trip driving unit (141) due to the detection of a short circuit or overcurrent, the trip switching unit (140) mechanically connected thereto may be momentarily pushed or pulled toward the rear and rotated.
[0051] Consequently, as the inclined step of the front part moves backward due to the retraction movement of the trip switching part (140), the restraining force supporting the rear end of the latch part (130) is lost at once. Therefore, as the latch part (130), having lost its support point, moves upward due to the elastic restoring force, the pressure state pressing against the movable switching part (120) is finally released, and the internal power circuit is disconnected.
[0052] In addition, a return means in the form of a torsion spring that elastically supports the lower pivot axis side of the trip switching unit (140) to quickly return the rotation angle to its original position may be additionally provided. Subsequently, immediately after the rear end of the latch unit (130) is separated from the inclined step by the blocking operation, the trip switching unit (140) returns to its original standby position through the elastic restoring force of the return means.
[0053] Meanwhile, a solenoid (150) equipped with a plunger (151) for the tripping operation is provided. Specifically, a solenoid (150) is configured on one side of the trip switching unit (140) to generate electromagnetic force by receiving an electrical signal from the leakage detection circuit board (160), etc. And, the solenoid (150) is fixedly positioned adjacent to the rear or one side of the trip switching unit (140) inside the housing unit (110) and is provided to include a plurality of coils wound inside.
[0054] Additionally, a rod-shaped plunger (151) that slides in a straight direction by the electromagnetic force formed when voltage is applied to the coil is embedded in the central space of the solenoid (150). At this time, the front end of the plunger (151) is positioned to protrude outside the housing of the solenoid (150) and is aligned to face the striking surface or locking groove of the trip switching part (140) located in front.
[0055] And, when a short circuit or overcurrent occurs inside the circuit breaker and a driving voltage is applied to the solenoid (150), a strong electromagnetic force is instantaneously formed in the internal coil, and through this, the plunger (151) can protrude and move in a straight line. Accordingly, the front end of the plunger (151) that has moved forward mechanically strikes one side of the trip switching part (140) strongly, causing the trip switching part (140) to rotate backward.
[0056] Accordingly, as the trip switching unit (140) rotates through the physical impact of the plunger (151), the restraint state supporting the latch unit (130) is released, and the trip operation of the delayed trip and instantaneous trip integrated overcurrent blocking device (100) is performed.
[0057] In addition, it is preferable to provide a leakage detection circuit board (160) that supplies power to the solenoid (150) to drive the plunger (151) when a leakage is detected. In detail, the leakage detection circuit board (160) is installed upright at the rear of the trip switching unit (140), and detects whether there is a leakage current through the image current transformer (161) to control the power supply of the solenoid (150).
[0058] Here, the image current transformer (161) is provided as a device for physically detecting whether a leakage current has occurred in a power line at one side or an adjacent location of the leakage current detection circuit board (160). Additionally, a pair of connecting wires (166) that electrically connect the first terminal part (111) and the second terminal part (112) are arranged side by side so as to penetrate the interior of the center of the image current transformer (161).
[0059] At this time, the above-mentioned current transformer (161) detects the zero-sequence current resulting from the imbalance of the current flowing through the pair of connecting wires (166) and detects whether leakage current has occurred. Accordingly, the solenoid (150), which receives power from the leakage detection circuit board (160), drives the plunger (151) forward, thereby inducing a mechanical tripping operation of the trip switching unit (140).
[0060] Referring to FIGS. 3 to 5, it is preferable to provide a contact bar switching unit (170) that selectively switches the power connection state to the leakage detection circuit board (160) according to the lifting and lowering of the pressure connection plate (121). Specifically, the contact bar switching unit (170) is provided on the lower side of the pressure connection plate (121) and moves up and down in conjunction with the lifting and lowering operation of the pressure connection plate (121).
[0061] Accordingly, when the pressure connection plate (121) is lowered by handle operation, the contact bar switching unit (170) maintains a connected state in which it is electrically connected to the leakage detection circuit board (160) and power is applied. Then, when the pressure connection plate (121) is raised, it can be switched to a non-connected state in which it is physically separated from the leakage detection circuit board (160) and the electrical connection is cut off.
[0062] Additionally, the contact bar switching unit (170) comprises a contact bar (171) that moves up and down together with the pressure connecting plate unit (121) that descends when the handle unit (123) is turned on, and a connecting clip (172) provided to be selectively contacted and connected to the contact bar (171).
[0063] Specifically, the contact bar (171) is positioned to be linked to the pressure connecting plate (121), so that it moves up and down together in the same direction as the pressure connecting plate (121) descends in the downward direction or rises in the upward direction due to external operation. That is, the contact bar (171) can be formed to be rounded and sloped downward as it extends toward the rear. Accordingly, it is preferable to understand that the contact bar (171) has elastic restoring force.
[0064] And, the connection clip (172) is provided and arranged on the lower outer surface of the pressure connection plate (121) so as to form an electrical connection by selective contact with the contact bar (171).
[0065] Accordingly, when the pressure connecting plate (121) descends downward in conjunction with the on operation of the handle part (123), the contact bar (171) also descends together, and the descending contact bar (171) comes into physical contact with the connecting clip (172) located on the lower outer surface of the pressure connecting plate (121), thereby forming a selective connection state.
[0066] Here, the contact bar (171) is provided at the end of the pressure connection plate portion (121) and is fixed together with the lower surface of the connection head (122) which is selectively connected to the first terminal portion (111), and is provided as a conductor plate structure that extends from the connection head (122) toward the rear with a predetermined length.
[0067] Specifically, the structure in which the contact bar (171) is integrally coupled and fixed to the lower portion of the connection head (122) forms a path that synchronizes and transmits the physical displacement and pressure generated when the connection head (122) moves up and down to the contact bar (171) without any gap. Furthermore, starting from the portion fixed to the lower portion of the connection head (122), the rear end of the contact bar (171) is arranged in the form of a free end that is movable and is not constrained by a separate fixed structure.
[0068] Additionally, a contact projection (173) is integrally formed laterally on the rear free end of the contact bar (171) so as to protrude outwardly and selectively make elastic contact with the connection clip (172) when descending. At this time, since the front end of the contact bar (171) is fixed to the lower surface of the connection head (122) and the rear end has the free end structure that is not supported, the contact bar (171) itself is endowed with a flexible elastic deformation performance that allows it to bend in a vertical direction.
[0069] Meanwhile, the extended length of the contact bar (171) can function as a buffer area that absorbs minute resistance heating and mechanical contact shock generated at the contact area during the repetitive opening and closing operation of the circuit breaker through the elastic sagging movement of the free end.
[0070] Furthermore, through the elastic deformation of the free end, internal thermal expansion stress and physical flow shock are self-dispersed and mitigated, thereby blocking mechanical fatigue transmitted to the pressure connecting plate (121) connected to the contact bar (171). Accordingly, damage to the pressure connecting plate (121) can be prevented.
[0071] In addition, the contact bar (171), which is in the form of a conductive plate extending rearward from the lower portion of the connection head (122), can perform not only the role of a current switching line but also the function of a heat sink that disperses high heat generated at the main connection point into the surrounding air during current flow. That is, by diffusing and cooling the thermal energy generated by resistance heating through the wide surface area of the extended contact bar (171) in the middle, preventing direct conduction to the leakage current detection circuit board (160) on which electronic components that are relatively vulnerable to heat are mounted, the risk of thermal failure or fire of the board can be prevented in advance.
[0072] Accordingly, when the pressure connection plate (121) and the connection head (122) are lowered by the ON operation of the handle part (123), the contact bar (171) fixed to the lower surface of the connection head (122) moves downward in conjunction with the same trajectory. That is, the contact projection (173) of the free end on the rear side of the descending contact bar (171) is elastically pressed against the connection clip (172) located below, thereby forming a current line to the leakage detection circuit board (160).
[0073] Accordingly, physical impact and thermal deformation factors occurring at the contact area between the contact projection (173) and the connection clip (172) are absorbed and processed at the free end, thereby minimizing structural shape deformation of the pressure connection plate (121) even with repeated use over a long period.
[0074] Furthermore, the flexible elastic restoring force of the free end can compensate for and maintain a continuous and constant contact pressure toward the connection clip (172) in real time, even if there is assembly tolerance of the part or internal wear occurs due to long-term repeated use. Accordingly, contact sparks or micro-arc phenomena caused by minute gaps between parts are prevented, and stable driving power supply to the leakage detection circuit board (160) can be provided without interruption of power supply even under vibration or external shock environments.
[0075] Accordingly, the contact bar (171) containing elastic restoring force dynamically absorbs and offsets mechanical fatigue and impact stress associated with opening and closing operations. As a result, the undamaged state of the pressure connecting plate (121) is ensured even in long-term operating environments, thereby dramatically increasing the lifespan of the equipment and providing economic benefits that minimize maintenance costs at industrial sites.
[0076] In addition, the contact bar (171) is integrally attached to the lower surface of the connection head (122) at the end of the pressure connection plate (121) and has a conductor plate cantilever structure extended to the rear. Accordingly, by forming a high-rigidity mechanical path that synchronously transmits opening / closing displacement and pressure without physical loss or play, structural reliability of ultra-precision opening / closing operation can be secured.
[0077] And, the above-mentioned connection clip (172) is fixed to the lower surface of the housing part (110) and is provided as a conductor frame having a connection surface formed thereon that is electrically connected to the contact projection (173).
[0078] Specifically, the connection clip (172) is fixedly installed on the bottom surface of the housing part (110) so as not to move, and forms a fixed structure that supports and contacts the contact projection (173) from below as it descends along with the lowering of the pressure connection plate part (121). In addition, the connection surface formed flatly on one side of the connection clip (172) is provided with a shape corresponding to the protruding shape and trajectory of the contact projection (173) so that it can be in close contact with the outer surface of the contact projection (173) protruding laterally over a wide area.
[0079] Additionally, the connection clip (172) is made of a plate-shaped or block-shaped conductive frame material with excellent conductivity, and functions as a medium that forms an electrical conduction path immediately upon physical contact with the contact projection (173). Accordingly, when the contact bar (171) descends in conjunction with the pressure connection plate (121) by the ON operation of the handle part (123), the contact projection (173) at the rear end of the contact bar (171) is strongly pressed against the connection surface of the connection clip (172) fixed to the bottom surface and is elastically contacted.
[0080] As a result, a stable surface contact conductivity state is maintained without dispersion at the contact portion between the contact projection (173) and the connection clip (172), thereby allowing power for driving to be supplied to the leakage detection circuit board (160) through the connection clip (172).
[0081] Additionally, the connection clip (172) is connected to the leakage detection circuit board (160) by a lead wire, and it is preferable that the test circuit connected to a pair of power lines of the second terminal section (112) conducts when the test switch (180) is pressed.
[0082] In detail, the leakage current detection circuit board (160) is connected to the connection clip (172) by the lead wire, and is structured so that even in a reverse connection environment where power is connected in reverse to the second terminal part (112), the pressure connection plate part (121) is separated from the connection clip (172) and is electrically cut off from the movable switching part (120). In addition, the leakage current detection circuit board (160) is provided to detect and amplify leakage current and is connected to the solenoid (150) by a wire to transmit a trip cutoff signal so that the plunger (151) is driven when a leakage current is detected.
[0083] Furthermore, the test circuit is configured to include a test pin connected to one side for a contact conduction structure, and a test plate (181) connected to the other side and spaced apart upwardly to selectively make electrical contact with the test pin. Accordingly, when the test switch (180) provided on the upper side of the test plate (181) is pressed downward, the test plate (181) descends in conjunction and selectively makes electrical contact with the test pin that was waiting.
[0084] Accordingly, by using the contact bar switching unit (170) which opens and closes the power supply to the leakage detection circuit board (160) in conjunction with the lifting displacement of the pressure connection plate unit (121), the overheating and burning of the solenoid (150) coil when the circuit breaker is opened is prevented even in a reverse connection environment where the power is incorrectly connected, thereby eliminating the risk of equipment damage and safety accidents and maximizing the operational reliability of the power infrastructure.
[0085] As a result, through contact between the two components, the test circuit connected to the power line of the second terminal (112) is fully conducted, thereby generating a simulated leakage current to check whether the circuit breaker is operating normally.
[0086] Referring to FIGS. 6 and 7, a pair of bimetal parts (210) are provided so that, when connected to the rear end of the pressure connection plate part (121) and heated, they press the trip driving part (141) to induce the trip operation. Here, it is preferable that the bimetal parts (210) are set to perform a delayed trip operation by bending and deforming when heated upon the inflow of an abnormal current that is more than twice the preset normal current, thereby pressing the trip driving part (141).
[0087] In detail, the bimetal part (210), which is provided as a pair, is physically connected to the rear end of the pressure connecting plate part (121) and arranged to form an internal current path. Additionally, a primary contact part (142) that is contacted when the bimetal part (210) is bent is provided on the upper part of the trip driving part (141), which is connected to the housing part (110) to rotate elastically.
[0088] Additionally, the upper part of the first contact portion (142) is characterized by having a second contact portion (143) that is integrally bent and extended toward the front and positioned opposite the shunt bobbin (222). Specifically, on one side of the trip driving portion (141) which is rotatably elastically supported inside the housing portion (110), the first contact portion (142) is formed to receive pressure by directly contacting the end of the approaching bimetal portion (210), which is bent and deformed by heating.
[0089] And, the end portion extending upward from the first contact portion (142) takes on a bent shape that is bent and protrudes forward, forming the second contact portion (143). At this time, the second contact portion (143) is aligned and positioned to face the shunt bobbin (222) of the shunt drive portion (230).
[0090] Consequently, the first contact part (142) that receives the mechanical impact of the bimetal part (210) and the second contact part (143) that receives the mechanical impact of the shunt bobbin (222) are integrally formed vertically adjacent to each other on the upper part of the trip drive part (141), which is a single part. Accordingly, a mechanical interlocking structure is formed that can release the restraint of the latch part (130) by integrating and receiving two different physical pressures, such as delayed trip operation and instantaneous trip operation, into a single trip drive part (141).
[0091] Accordingly, if an abnormal current of more than twice the normal current range set on the line flows in, heat is gradually generated due to the resistance of the bimetal part (210) itself through which the current flows.
[0092] As this heat generation continues, the bimetal part (210) undergoes a physical bending deformation in one direction due to thermal expansion. Subsequently, the bimetal part (210) can push against and pressurize the trip driving part (141) positioned oppositely due to the bending deformation.
[0093] Accordingly, the trip driving unit (141) rotates through the physical pressure resulting from the bending deformation of the bimetal part (210), and thereby, a delayed trip operation is stably implemented to cut off the power by releasing the restraint of the latch part (130) after a certain period of time has elapsed when an overload occurs.
[0094] In conclusion, when an abnormal current exceeding a preset normal current standard flows in, a delayed trip is performed through the bimetal part (210) that is heated. Additionally, when a sudden transient current occurs, an instantaneous trip is performed through the shunt drive part (230) immediately, and the line is separated according to the magnitude and nature of the incoming abnormal current, thereby providing dual safety performance against surge shock and fire hazards.
[0095] Meanwhile, the coil section (220) is electrically connected between the input terminal section (117) provided on the front side of the first terminal section (111) and the first terminal section (111), and includes a pair of hollow shunt coils (221) wound so as to be positioned facing the upper side of the trip driving section (141). Specifically, the pair of coil sections (220) form a physical power line so that current can flow from the input terminal section (117), where external power is supplied, to the first terminal section (111), where a fixed contact is located.
[0096] Additionally, the shunt coil (221), which is constructed by winding a wire multiple times in a cylindrical or hollow shape, is integrally arranged above the coil section (220). At this time, the shunt coil (221) is formed with a hollow structure having an empty interior, and it is preferable that the upper opening of the hollow section is aligned vertically so as to face the upper surface of the trip driving section (141) of the trip switching section (140).
[0097] Accordingly, when a large current flows on the power line passing between the input terminal (117) and the first terminal (111), the current is branched or flows into the shunt coil (221) connected to the line, thereby providing a basic environment in which an electromagnetic force can be formed in the central hollow part of the shunt coil (221).
[0098] Meanwhile, a pair of shunt drive units (230) are provided to induce a tripping operation by applying pressure to the tripping drive unit (141) by means of the suction magnetic force generated in the shunt bobbin (222) inserted into the hollow of the shunt coil (221) when an overcurrent occurs. Here, it is preferable to understand that the shunt drive unit (230) performs an instantaneous tripping operation by applying pressure to the tripping drive unit (141) when an overcurrent higher than the aforementioned abnormal current flows in.
[0099] In detail, the shunt drive unit (230), which is provided as a pair, has a structure in which the shunt bobbin (222) is inserted and arranged inside the central hollow of the shunt coil (221). Accordingly, when an overcurrent of more than 6 times the preset normal current—which is a value much higher than the abnormal current to which the bimetal part (210) reacts on the line—is introduced, a strong electromagnetic field is formed in the shunt coil (221).
[0100] Due to this electromagnetic field, a strong magnetic attraction force is generated in the shunt bobbin (222) located inside the shunt coil (221). As a result, the generated magnetic attraction force causes the shunt bobbin (222) to move in a straight line instantaneously and strongly strike the opposing trip driving unit (141) to apply pressure.
[0101] Accordingly, the trip driving unit (141) is immediately rotated through the instantaneous physical pressure of the shunt bobbin (222), and through this, an instantaneous trip operation can be rapidly implemented to instantly release the restrained state of the latch unit (130) without delay in a high current situation such as a short circuit, thereby cutting off the power supply.
[0102] In this way, the delayed trip operation by the bimetal part (210) and the instantaneous trip operation by the shunt drive part (230) are set to be organically linked, thereby forming a multi-defense mechanism without blind spots against overcurrent risks in all areas that may occur on the line.
[0103] That is, regarding minute overload currents that occur temporarily during the operation of kitchen appliances, etc., the heat accumulation mechanism of the bimetal part (210) prevents unnecessary tripping malfunctions and performs stable delayed tripping, whereas in the event of destructive transient current inflow such as a line short circuit, instantaneous tripping is induced at once through electromagnetic force without going through the thermal reaction time of the bimetal part (210).
[0104] As a result, the coil section (220), which is equipped with a hollow shunt coil (221) wound to be positioned opposite the trip driving section (141), and the shunt driving section (230) that induces the trip operation, directly contact the trip driving section (141) to perform an instantaneous trip, thereby increasing the trip response speed and ensuring mechanical reliability.
[0105] Referring to FIG. 8, the shunt bobbin (222) comprises a bobbin case (223) made of an insulating material having a hollow groove (224) formed along the longitudinal direction inside, a shunt rod (225) made of a ferromagnetic material that is inserted into the hollow groove (224), and a head rod (226) made of an insulating material that is inserted into the hollow groove (224) in series with the shunt rod (225). Furthermore, the reference value of the aforementioned transient current can be set by adjusting the length ratio of the shunt rod (225) and the head rod (226) of the shunt bobbin (222).
[0106] In detail, the bobbin case (223) supporting the overall shape of the shunt bobbin (222) is formed of an insulating material that does not conduct current, and a hollow groove (224), which is an empty space along the longitudinal direction, is provided in the center of the interior. Furthermore, the shunt rod (225), made of a ferromagnetic material that generates moving power by strongly reacting to a magnetic field, is inserted and positioned inside the hollow groove (224) of the bobbin case (223).
[0107] In addition, the head rod (226), made of an insulating material that does not react to magnetic force, is inserted together with the shunt rod (225) in a series configuration that is aligned in a straight line with the hollow groove (224). At this time, the operating specifications of the instantaneous trip operation can be determined by adjusting the ratio of the physical lengths occupied by the ferromagnetic shunt rod (225) and the insulating head rod (226) inside the hollow groove (224).
[0108] That is, it is preferable to understand that the component generating a substantial magnetic attraction force in response to the electromagnetic field formed by the shunt coil (221) is the shunt rod (225), which is a ferromagnetic material. Furthermore, the sensitivity to the magnetic force and the required magnetic force strength may vary depending on the ratio change, such as the length of the shunt rod (225) becoming longer or the length of the head rod (226) becoming shorter within the length of the hollow groove (224).
[0109] Accordingly, by making a simple mechanical structural change to adjust the relative length ratio of the shunt rod (225) and the head rod (226) during the design phase, the value of the transient current, which is a reference point that causes the shunt bobbin (222) to move instantaneously to induce an instantaneous trip operation, can be precisely set to match the target environment.
[0110] In conclusion, the instantaneous cutoff threshold setting value of the transient current can be precisely changed solely through mechanical tuning that adjusts the physical length ratio of the shunt rod (225) and the head rod (226). Accordingly, component compatibility corresponding to a wide range of transient current magnitudes and trip specifications can be maximized, and the overall design precision for implementing customized cutoff characteristics can be dramatically improved.
[0111] Referring to FIG. 9, a hook portion formed at the bottom is protruded from the outer circumference of the bobbin case (223). Additionally, the shunt drive unit (230) further includes a fixed frame (229) fixed to the housing unit (110), wherein the front and rear ends of the outer circumference of the shunt bobbin (222), which are exposed on the outside of the shunt coil (221), are seated thereon, and a hook groove (228) is formed to engage with the hook portion. Furthermore, the fixed frame (229) is characterized by being fixed to the upper surface of a protruding support portion (113) that protrudes upward from the bottom surface of the housing unit (110).
[0112] In detail, the outer circumference of the bobbin case (223) constituting the outer shape of the shunt bobbin (222) is provided with a laterally protruding locking piece, and the hook portion for fastening is integrally formed at the lower end of the locking piece. Additionally, the fixing frame (229) is additionally provided on the side of the shunt drive unit (230) as a mechanism to support the shunt bobbin (222) so that it can be stably positioned.
[0113] Furthermore, the fixed frame (229) forms a seating structure that supports from below both ends of the shunt bobbin (222), namely the front and rear ends of the outer circumference, which are exposed to the outside beyond the shunt coil (221) area. Additionally, on one side of the fixed frame (229), a hook groove (228) is formed into which the hook portion extending downward from the bobbin case (223) is inserted and mechanically engaged to be fixed.
[0114] The above-mentioned fixed frame (229) is firmly fixed to the upper surface of the column-shaped protruding support (113) that rises upward from the bottom surface of the housing part (110). Accordingly, when the shunt bobbin (222) is placed on the upper part of the fixed frame (229) during the assembly process, the hook part provided at the lower part of the hook of the bobbin case (223) descends and is inserted into the hook groove (228) of the fixed frame (229) to be locked and coupled.
[0115] Accordingly, the shunt bobbin (222) is supported at both ends by the fixed frame (229), and at the same time, any movement in the up, down, left, and right directions is restricted through the hook structure. Therefore, even if a strong magnetic suction force and instantaneous mechanical impact occur inside the shunt bobbin (222) when performing an instantaneous trip operation due to the occurrence of an overcurrent, the entire shunt bobbin (222) is prevented from deviating from or shaking from its designated installation position, thereby maintaining a precise and highly reliable operating structure.
[0116] Referring to FIG. 10, an arc detection circuit board (250) is provided, which is installed to be seated on the bottom surface of the housing part (110) and detects and rectifies the current flowing through the connecting wire (166) to detect whether an arc has occurred and controls the power supply to the solenoid (150).
[0117] At this time, the arc detection circuit board (250) may be formed as a printed circuit board having a plurality of electronic components and circuit patterns mounted on an insulating substrate, and may be formed in a predetermined shape corresponding to the internal shape of the housing part (110) so as to be stably placed in a limited internal space.
[0118] In addition, the arc detection circuit board (250) can be electrically connected to the connecting wire (166) to receive an electrical signal transmitted through the connecting wire (166), and can be configured to detect the condition of the line based on the input signal.
[0119] Specifically, the arc detection circuit board (250) is configured to determine whether an arc is occurring in the line using an electrical signal transmitted through the connecting wire (166), and can control the transmission of a driving signal to the solenoid (150) when it is determined that an arc has occurred.
[0120] In this way, the arc detection circuit board (250) is configured so that the detection of a signal through the connecting wire (166), the determination of whether an arc has occurred, and the driving control of the solenoid (150) are performed continuously, thereby allowing the blocking operation to be performed when an arc occurs without adding a separate control structure.
[0121] Accordingly, the arc detection circuit board (250) is placed in a limited space inside the housing part (110) and performs the function of detecting whether an arc has occurred and controlling the operation of the solenoid (150), thereby enabling the circuit breaker to operate stably.
[0122] Referring to FIGS. 11 and 12, the leakage detection circuit board (160) may include a first circuit board (160a) which is positioned to face the trip driving unit (141), has the solenoid (150) on its upper side and the image current transformer (161) on its lower side, and a second circuit board (160b) which is positioned in close contact with one side of the first circuit board (160a) in a divided and folded form.
[0123] In detail, the first circuit board (160a) is configured to function as a main base board that is vertically positioned to face directly the trip driving unit (141) in front. Additionally, the solenoid (150), which is formed in a hollow cylindrical shape and generates mechanical pressure, is physically integrated and fixedly mounted in the upper region of the first circuit board (160a).
[0124] Additionally, in the lower region of the first circuit board (160a), the image current transformer (161) for physically sensing leakage current is provided, aligned vertically below the solenoid (150). Furthermore, the second circuit board (160b) may be provided in the form of a sub-board that accommodates the remaining control circuit patterns that could not be placed on the first circuit board (160a) due to a lack of space.
[0125] Furthermore, the second circuit board (160b) is not extended from the first circuit board (160a) but is physically separated and provided as an independent plate-like structure, thereby primarily avoiding structural interference between internal components. That is, the separated second circuit board (160b) forms a three-dimensional mechanical arrangement in a form that is bent vertically with respect to one side of the first circuit board (160a) and is closely attached and mechanically joined.
[0126] Accordingly, the leakage detection circuit board (160) is vertically divided and closely attached to the first circuit board (160a) and the second circuit board (160b), thereby mechanically preventing assembly interference with arc detection components located at the bottom of the circuit breaker. As a result, even within the extremely limited housing area behind the trip driving unit (141), the circuit breaker control driving elements can be firmly accommodated and positioned without physical clearance through the three-dimensional folding and close assembly of the boards.
[0127] Additionally, on the other side of the first circuit board (160a) facing the second circuit board (160b), a hollow cylindrical current sensor (260) may be disposed that is connected to the arc detection circuit board (250) and through which one of the connecting wires (166) passing through the image current transformer (161) passes.
[0128] In detail, the current sensor (260) is configured to precisely acquire the amount of current change on the line for determining arc generation and is mechanically coupled to the outer surface of the first circuit board (160a). Additionally, the current sensor (260) is spaced apart and positioned facing the other side, which is the opposite direction from the first circuit board (160a) to which the second circuit board (160b) is closely assembled.
[0129] And, an empty through space is provided in the inner center of the current sensor (260) formed in a hollow cylindrical shape to form a physical path through which a power line passes. In addition, only one of the pair of connecting wires (166) that pass through the image current transformer (161) located at the bottom first extends upward and passes through the inner space of the current sensor (260) a second time.
[0130] Meanwhile, electrical wiring is connected between the two components so that the current detection signal obtained from the current sensor (260) can be directly transmitted to the arc detection circuit board (250) mounted on the bottom surface of the housing. Furthermore, through the three-dimensional assembly arrangement of these components, a unique mounting structure is formed in which the trip driving unit (141), which moves mechanically, is placed in the central space and surrounded by the surroundings.
[0131] That is, the second circuit board (160b) on one side, the first circuit board (160a) on the rear side, and the current sensor (260) on the other side are connected in mutually perpendicular directions and form a three-dimensional arrangement structure in the shape of a "C" on a plane. Accordingly, the compactness of the hardware structure can be effectively achieved by concentrating a number of sensing components in an extremely limited internal space without interfering with the mechanical impact and rotational trajectory of the trip driving unit (141).
[0132] Meanwhile, the first circuit board (160a) and the second circuit board (160b) are electrically signal-connected to each other through a first socket (163) provided on a mutually contacting surface, and a DC power supply is supplied to the arc detection circuit board (250) through a second socket (164) provided at the bottom of the first circuit board (160a).
[0133] And, the arc detection circuit board (250) can receive a current detection signal through a third socket (251) provided at the bottom of the current sensor (260) and transmit an arc detection cutoff signal through a fourth socket (165) provided at the bottom of the second circuit board (160b).
[0134] In detail, the first socket (163) to the fourth socket (165) construct an integrated communication and power network by precisely electrically and mechanically interconnecting each component that is arranged in a three-dimensionally divided manner. To this end, the first socket (163) is interposed at the intersection of the first circuit board (160a) and the second circuit board (160b), which are in mutual perpendicular contact, and is connected to transmit and receive control signals between the two boards.
[0135] And, the second socket (164) is provided at the bottom of the first circuit board (160a) which is positioned upright and is coupled with the arc detection circuit board (250) on the bottom surface, thereby stably supplying DC power for driving the board to the top.
[0136] Additionally, the third socket (251) is connected between the bottom of the current sensor (260) and the arc detection circuit board (250), and forms a path to directly transmit the current detection signal of the line obtained from the current sensor (260) to the arc detection circuit board (250) at the bottom.
[0137] Additionally, the fourth socket (165) is provided in the lower region of the second circuit board (160b) and is coupled and assembled with the arc detection circuit board (250) at the bottom. Furthermore, the fourth socket (165) can control a program update port (167) and a fault notification unit that sends a fault warning signal in the event of a fault.
[0138] Accordingly, the arc detection cutoff signal finally calculated in the arc detection circuit board (250) is rapidly transmitted to the second circuit board (160b) via the fourth socket (165) to induce the operation of the solenoid (150) in the upper part. Therefore, independent functional interoperability between each divided board is possible while maintaining the compactness of the internal space through the clear individual connection structure of the sockets without complex wire connections.
[0139] Meanwhile, referring to FIG. 9, one side of the current sensor (260) is supported by a first support rib (114) protruding upward from the bottom surface of the housing part (110), and the cylindrical lower part of the current sensor (260) can be seated between a pair of second support ribs (115) protruding upward from the bottom surface of the housing part (110).
[0140] In detail, the current sensor (260) is stably seated and restrained through the internal structure of the housing part (110) itself without any separate additional assembly parts. Specifically, one side of the current sensor (260) is supported by contacting a first support rib (114) formed to protrude upward from the bottom surface of the housing part (110), thereby restricting movement in the lateral direction.
[0141] Additionally, the cylindrical lower portion of the current sensor (260) is seated between a pair of second support ribs (115) that protrude upward from the bottom surface of the housing portion (110). Through this, the phenomenon of the cylindrical lower portion having a curved shape rolling or shaking back and forth and side to side can be effectively prevented.
[0142] Furthermore, the first circuit board (160a) may include a restraining portion (160c) to restrain the current sensor (260), and the restraining portion (160c) may be positioned to correspond to the upper side of the current sensor (260) to restrict upward deviation of the current sensor (260). Additionally, the second terminal portion (112) may be positioned adjacent to the other side of the current sensor (260) to restrict lateral movement of the current sensor (260).
[0143] Accordingly, without adding a separate bracket component to the current sensor (260), the movement of the current sensor (260) is suppressed through the first support rib (113) and the second support rib (114) protruding upward from the bottom surface of the housing part (110), thereby eliminating unnecessary component assembly space and minimizing internal dead space, thereby maximizing hardware compactness.
