[0035] Hereinafter, embodiments according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings.
[0036] FIG. 1 illustrates a water level detection device according to one embodiment, FIG. 2 illustrates a state in which a water level detection device according to one embodiment is placed in a metallic cooking utensil, FIG. 3 illustrates a state in which a water level detection device according to one embodiment is placed in a non-metallic cooking utensil, FIG. 4 illustrates a closed circuit formed in a water level detection device according to one embodiment, and FIG. 5 is a control block diagram of a water level detection device according to one embodiment.
[0037] Referring to FIG. 1, the water level detection device (1) may include a main body (10), a first probe (11) connected to one side of the main body (10), a second probe (12) connected parallel to the first probe (11) to one side of the main body (10), and a temperature sensor (140) provided on the first probe (11).
[0038] A main body (10) according to one embodiment may include at least one memory (105) in which a program for performing at least one function or operation of a water level detection device (1) is stored, and at least one processor (100) that executes the program stored in the memory (105).
[0039] Additionally, the main body (10) may include sensors (110, 120, 130) for acquiring various information and / or data for performing at least one function or operation of the water level detection device (1). However, the sensors for acquiring various information and / or data for performing at least one function or operation of the water level detection device (1) may be provided on the first probe (11) and / or the second probe (12).
[0040] The first probe (11) and the second probe (12) may be composed of a conductive material having a resistive component and may be parallel to each other.
[0041] A temperature sensor (140) for obtaining temperature information of a food item may be attached to the first probe (11) and / or the second probe (12), and the temperature sensor (140) may preferably be provided near the end of the first probe (11) and / or the second probe (12). At this time, the end where the temperature sensor (140) is provided may refer to one end in the opposite direction to the main body (10).
[0042] Referring to FIG. 2, the water level detection device (1) can be mounted on the cooking appliance (20) to detect the water level inside the cooking appliance (20). Specifically, the user can mount the water level detection device (1) on the cooking appliance (20) by placing the first probe (11) and the second probe (12) inside the cooking appliance (20) and mounting either part of the first probe (11) and the second probe (12) on the upper surface of the cooking appliance (20).
[0043] At this time, the first probe (11) and the second probe (12) can be mounted on the cooking appliance (20) at an angle of inclination according to the size, height, etc. of the cooking appliance (20).
[0044] When the water level detection device (1) is mounted on the cooking appliance (20), a first contact point (C1) where the first probe (11) and the cooking appliance (20) are in contact and a second contact point (C2) where the second probe (12) and the cooking appliance (20) are in contact can be formed, and the first contact point (C1) and the second contact point (C2) can be electrically connected by a metallic cooking appliance (20).
[0045] Additionally, the water level detection device (1) may include a power source (13) connected to a first probe (11) and a second probe (12). The power source (13) may form a potential difference between the first probe (11) and the second probe (12), and at least one processor (100) may determine the location of the first contact (C1) and / or the location of the second contact (C2) based on the current value flowing through the first probe (11) and / or the second probe (12).
[0046] Specifically, when the cooking appliance (20) is a metallic cooking appliance (20), a closed circuit (CL) can be formed inside the water level detection device (1) through the first contact (C1) and the second contact (C2), and accordingly, current can flow through the first probe (11) and the second probe (12).
[0047] Additionally, as will be explained below, at least one processor (100) can calculate the height (20H) of the cooking appliance (20) by calculating the distance between the first contact (C1) and the end of the first probe (11) based on the position of the first contact (C1) or by calculating the distance between the second contact (C2) and the end of the second probe (12) based on the position of the second contact (C2).
[0048] If the cooking appliance (20) is a metallic cooking appliance (20), a contact (hereinafter 'third contact') between the first probe (11) and the bottom surface of the cooking appliance (20) and a contact (hereinafter 'fourth contact') between the second probe (12) and the bottom surface of the cooking appliance (20) may be formed, but the closed circuit formed by the third contact and the fourth contact may be ignored because the resistance component is much larger than that of the closed circuit (CL) formed by the first contact (C1) and the second contact (C2).
[0049] However, to prevent the formation of the third and fourth contacts, the end portions of the first probe (11) and the second probe (12) may be coated with a non-metallic material.
[0050] Referring to FIG. 3, the water level detection device (1) may further include a conductive member (14) that electrically connects the first probe (11) and the second probe (12).
[0051] This conductive member (14) may be configured to be movable in a direction parallel to the first probe (11) and the second probe (12), and the user may move the conductive member (14) to the vicinity where the cooking utensil (20) and the first probe (11) and the second probe (12) come into contact with each other while the conductive member (14) is fitted onto the first probe (11) and the second probe (12).
[0052] These conductive members (14) may be manufactured in a ring shape, but are not limited thereto and may be manufactured in any shape capable of electrically connecting the first probe (11) and the second probe (12). Additionally, the conductive members (14) may be manufactured based on the distance between the first probe (11) and the second probe (12).
[0053] Accordingly, when the water level detection device (1) is mounted on the cooking appliance (20), a first contact point (C1) where the first probe (11) and the cooking appliance (20) are in contact and a second contact point (C2) where the second probe (12) and the cooking appliance (20) are in contact can be formed, and the first contact point (C1) and the second contact point (C2) can be electrically connected by a conductive member (14).
[0054] Referring to FIG. 4, a closed circuit (CL) formed in response to the electrical connection of the first probe (11) and the second probe (12) can be seen.
[0055] That is, when the water level detection device (1) is mounted on the cooking appliance (20), a first contact (C1) and a second contact (C2) are formed, and a closed circuit (CL) can be formed by the first contact (C1) and the second contact (C2).
[0056] In a closed circuit (CL), the resistance value of the first resistor element (R1) can be determined by the distance from the power source (13) to the first contact (C1), and the resistance value of the second resistor element (R2) can be determined by the distance from the power source (13) to the second contact (C2).
[0057] Specifically, the resistance value of the first resistance element (R1) can be determined based on the distance from the power source (13) to the first contact (C1), the resistivity of the first probe (11), and the area of the first probe (11), and the resistance value of the second resistance element (R2) can be determined based on the distance from the power source (13) to the second contact (C2), the resistivity of the second probe (12), and the area of the second probe (12).
[0058] At this time, since the resistivity and area of the first contact (C1) and the second contact (C2), and the distance from the power source (13) to the first contact (C1) and the distance from the power source (13) to the second contact (C2) are the same, the resistance value of the first resistance element (R1) and the resistance value of the second resistance element (R2) may be the same.
[0059] When a water level detection device (1) is placed in a metallic cooking appliance (20), the third resistance element (R3) between the first contact (C1) and the second contact (C2) can be determined by the resistivity of the metallic cooking appliance (20) and the distance between the first probe (11) and the second probe (12).
[0060] When a water level detection device (1) is placed in a non-metallic cooking appliance (20) and the first contact (C1) and the second contact (C2) are connected by a conductive member (14), the third resistance element (R3) can be determined by the resistivity of the conductive member (14) and the distance between the first probe (11) and the second probe (12).
[0061] To this end, the memory (105) may store the resistivity value of the conductive member (14), the average resistivity value of the metallic cooking utensil (20), or the magnitude of the closed circuit (CL) current according to the positions of the first contact (C1) and the second contact (C2).
[0062] The water level detection device (1) may further include a current sensor (130) for measuring the strength of a closed circuit current (I) flowing in a closed circuit (CL) formed by a first contact (C1) and a second contact (C2), and can determine the position of the first contact (C1) and the second contact (C2) based on the strength of the closed circuit current (I).
[0063] As will be explained below, a capacitor (Cap) component between the first probe (11) and the second probe (12) can be generated according to the first contact (C1) and the second contact (C2).
[0064] Referring to FIG. 5, a water level detection device (1) according to one embodiment may include a lean angle sensor (110) for detecting the lean angle of a first probe (11) and / or a second probe (12), a capacitance sensor (120) for detecting the capacitance of a capacitor (Cap) component between the first probe (11) and the second probe (12), a current sensor (130) for measuring a closed-circuit current (I), a temperature sensor (140) provided on the first probe (11) and / or the second probe (12) for measuring the temperature of a food item, at least one memory (105) for storing a program for performing at least one function or operation of the water level detection device (1), at least one processor (100) for executing the program stored in the memory (105), a speaker (150) for outputting a warning sound, a communication unit (160) for communicating with various communication targets, and a user interface (170) for receiving input from a user or displaying various information.
[0065] The tilt angle sensor (110) may refer to any sensor capable of measuring the tilt angle of the first probe (11) and / or the second probe (12). For example, the tilt angle sensor (110) may include at least one of a gyroscope sensor, an accelerometer sensor, a geomagnetic sensor, and a capacitive angle sensor to measure the tilt angle of the first probe (11) and / or the second probe (12).
[0066] At this time, the inclination angle of the first probe (11) may refer to the angle formed by the first contact point (C1), the contact point between the first probe (11) and the bottom surface of the cooking appliance (20), and the contact point between the cooking appliance (20) and an imaginary line extending vertically from the first contact point (C1).
[0067] The capacitance sensor (120) may refer to any sensor capable of detecting the capacitance between the first probe (11) and the second probe (12) and / or the amount of change in capacitance. For example, the capacitance sensor (120) may include a level-based capacitance sensor (120) that utilizes the change in capacitance between the first probe (11) and the second probe (12) due to the level of dielectric fluid between the two probes.
[0068] Since both the first probe (11) and the second probe (12) are composed of a conductive material, a capacitor component may be generated between the first probe (11) and the second probe (12), and the capacitance of the capacitor component may be changed depending on the type of dielectric between the first probe (11) and the second probe (12).
[0069] For example, the permittivity of air and water is different, and the capacitance between the first probe (11) and the second probe (12) may change depending on how deeply the first probe (11) and the second probe (12) are immersed in water.
[0070] Accordingly, the processor (100) can calculate the water level inside the cooking appliance (20) based on the capacitance between the first probe (11) and the second probe (12) obtained from the capacitance sensor (120).
[0071] The current sensor (130) can measure the strength of the current flowing from the first probe (11) to the second probe (12). As previously explained, the current flowing from the first probe (11) to the second probe (12) may refer to the current (I) of the closed circuit (CL) formed through the first contact (C1) between the first probe (11) and the cooking appliance (20) and the second contact (C2) between the second probe (12) and the cooking appliance (20).
[0072] These current sensors (130) may refer to any sensor capable of measuring the intensity of the current flowing from the first probe (11) to the second probe (12).
[0073] The processor (100) determines the positions of the first contact (C1) and the second contact (C2) based on the strength of the current flowing from the first probe (11) to the second probe (12), and accordingly calculates the length between the first contact (C1) and the end of the first probe (11), and the length between the second contact (C2) and the end of the second probe (12).
[0074] A temperature sensor (140) is provided near the end of the first probe (11) and / or the second probe (12) to measure the temperature of the food, and the processor (100) can obtain temperature information of the food from the temperature sensor (140).
[0075] At least one memory (105) can store a program that performs the aforementioned operation and the subsequent operation, and at least one processor (100) can execute the program stored in at least one memory (105).
[0076] At least one memory (105) and at least one processor (100) may be integrated into a single chip or may be provided at physically separate locations.
[0077] The processor (100) can be implemented using various components such as semiconductor chips, switches, integrated circuits, resistors, volatile or non-volatile memory or printed circuit boards, and can be implemented using an MCU (Micro controller unit).
[0078] The memory (105) may be implemented as at least one of a non-volatile memory device such as a cache, ROM (read only memory), PROM (programmable ROM), EPROM (erasable programmable ROM), EEPROM (electrically erasable programmable ROM), and flash memory, a volatile memory device such as RAM (random access memory), or a storage medium such as a hard disk drive (HDD) and CD-ROM. However, it is not limited thereto, and any type capable of storing various information may be used as the type of memory.
[0079] A speaker (150) is provided in the main body (10) of the water level detection device (1) and can output a warning sound according to a control signal from the processor (100). As an example, the speaker (150) may include a buzzer that outputs a warning sound.
[0080] The communication unit (160) may include a communication module for communicating with an external device. A detailed description of the communication unit (160) will be given later with reference to FIGS. 8 and 9.
[0081] The user interface (170) may include a display for providing various information to the user, and, for example, may include a touch screen that provides various information to the user and receives touch input. Such a user interface (170) may be provided in the main body (10).
[0082] Although the various components of the water level detection device (1) have been described above, within the scope of ordinary technology, the configuration of the water level detection device (1) may be changed or deleted according to the embodiment, and it is obvious that new components may be added to the water level detection device (1) according to the embodiment.
[0083] FIG. 6 is a flowchart of a control method for a water level detection device according to one embodiment, and FIG. 7 is a diagram for explaining the change in capacitance according to a change in water level.
[0084] Referring to FIG. 6, the tilt angle sensor (110) of the water level detection device (1) can detect the tilt angle of the first probe (11) and the second probe (12), and the processor (100) can obtain information about the tilt angle of the first probe (11) and the second probe (12) (1000).
[0085] The current sensor (130) can measure the intensity of the current flowing from the first probe (11) to the second probe (12) when the first probe (11) and the second probe (12) come into contact with the metallic cooking utensil (20) or when the first probe (11) and the second probe (12) are electrically connected by a conductive member (14).
[0086] The processor (100) can obtain the resistance value of the closed circuit (CL) formed through the first contact (C1) and the second contact (C2) based on the current value obtained from the current sensor (130), and can determine the location of the first contact (C1) and the location of the second contact (C2) based on this (1100).
[0087] In other words, the processor (100) can obtain information about the length from the end of the first probe (11) to the first contact (C1) and the length from the end of the second probe (12) to the second contact (C2).
[0088] The processor (100) can calculate the height (20H) of the cooking utensil (20) based on the length value from the end of the first probe (11) to the first contact point (C1) and / or the length value from the end of the second probe (12) to the second contact point (C2), and the tilt angle of the first probe (11) and / or the tilt angle of the second probe (12) (1200).
[0089] For example, if the inclination angle of the first probe (11) is θ and the length from the end of the first probe (11) to the first contact point (C1) is α, the height (20H) of the cooking utensil (20) may be (α * sin(θ)).
[0090] The processor (100) can calculate the danger level of the cooking appliance (20) based on the height (20H) of the cooking appliance (20) (1300). For example, the processor (100) can calculate the danger level of the cooking appliance (20) by multiplying the height (20H) of the cooking appliance (20) by a preset weight. At this time, the preset weight may be changed according to the tilt angle of the first probe (11) and / or the second probe (12).
[0091] For example, if the height of the cooking utensil (20) is calculated to be 20 cm, the processor (100) can determine the danger level of the cooking utensil (20) to be 18 cm by multiplying the 20 cm by a weight of 0.9.
[0092] Additionally, since it can be estimated that the lower surface area of the cooking utensil (20) is larger as the tilt angle of the first probe (11) and / or the second probe (12) becomes smaller, the processor (100) can select a weight proportional to the tilt angle of the first probe (11) and / or the second probe (12).
[0093] The relationship between the tilt angle and weight of the first probe (11) and / or the second probe (12) may be stored in memory (105).
[0094] In summary, the processor (100) can calculate the danger level of the cooking appliance (20) based on the intensity of the current flowing from the first probe (11) to the second probe (12) and the inclination angles of the first probe (11) and the second probe (12).
[0095] Afterwards, the processor (100) can calculate the water level inside the cooking appliance (20) based on the capacitance information obtained from the capacitance sensor (120) (1400).
[0096] Referring to FIG. 7, the capacitance between the first probe (11) and the second probe (12) can change according to the change in water level (△WL) inside the cooking appliance (20).
[0097] Specifically, the distance between the first probe (11) and the second probe (12) is d, and the permittivity of water is (ε0+ε r ), assuming the permittivity of air is ε0, the capacitance before the change in water level is {CA + CB + CC = ((ε0 / d) * (A+B) + ((ε0+ε r ) / d) * (C))}, and the capacitance after the change in water level is {CA' + CB'+ CC' = ((ε0 / d) * (A) + ((ε0+ε r ) / d) * (B+C))} is.
[0098] In other words, the change in capacitance due to the change in water level (△WL) is △CB = ((ε r / d) * B) is.
[0099] The memory (105) may store information regarding the permittivity of water, the permittivity of water according to temperature, and the permittivity of air, and the processor (100) can calculate the water level inside the cooking appliance (20) based on the difference in capacitance.
[0100] The processor (100) can more accurately determine the water level inside the cooking utensil (20) by applying the dielectric constant of water according to temperature based on the temperature of the food measured by the temperature sensor (140).
[0101] The processor (100) can determine whether the water level inside the cooking appliance (20) has reached a dangerous level by comparing the water level inside the cooking appliance (20) with the water level inside the cooking appliance (20) (1500).
[0102] When the first probe (11) and the second probe (12) are tilted, the water level inside the cooking utensil (20) may be measured differently from the actual water level inside the cooking utensil (20) depending on the angle of tilt.
[0103] Accordingly, the processor (100) can compare the value calculated by multiplying the risk level calculated in the previous step (1300) by the csc(θ) value with the water level inside the cooking appliance calculated based on capacitance.
[0104] Additionally, the processor (100) can determine whether the water level inside the cooking appliance (20) has reached a dangerous level only when the temperature value measured by the temperature sensor (140) is greater than or equal to a preset value. At this time, the preset value can be set to a value such as the boiling point of water and stored in memory (105).
[0105] This is because, even if the water level inside the cooking utensil (20) reaches a dangerous level, if the temperature of the food being cooked is below the boiling point of water, there is no risk of the water boiling over.
[0106] Although not shown in the drawing, the processor (100) can control the speaker (150) to output a warning sound when the water level inside the cooking appliance (20) reaches a dangerous level. Accordingly, a user who hears the warning sound can directly control the cooking appliance (2) that is heating the cooking appliance (20) to prevent the water from overflowing.
[0107] According to a water level detection device (1) according to one embodiment, by calculating an appropriate danger level according to the size and height of the cooking appliance (20), it is possible to efficiently determine whether a bump phenomenon occurs inside the cooking appliance (20).
[0108] In the following, various processes are described in which a water level detection device (1) according to one embodiment warns the user when the water level inside the cooking utensil (20) reaches a dangerous level.

[0117] At this time, the network (5) may mean a wireless communication network and may include at least one of a telecommunication network, for example, a computer network (e.g., LAN or WAN), the Internet, or a telephone network.
[0118] This network (5) can be provided to a cooking appliance (2) and / or a home appliance (3) and / or a mobile terminal device (4) through an access point (AP).
[0119] According to the embodiment, the water level detection device (1) may be directly connected to the cooking appliance (2) to perform direct communication without going through the network (5).

[0122] The short-range communication module may include at least one of various short-range communication modules that transmit and receive signals using a wireless communication network at a short range, such as a Bluetooth module, an infrared communication module, an RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) communication module, a WLAN (Wireless Local Access Network) communication module, an NFC communication module, a Zigbee communication module, a Z-Wave communication module, and a Wi-Fi Direct communication module.
[0123] Additionally, the communication unit (160) may include an antenna for transmitting a wireless signal to free space or receiving a wireless signal from free space, a modulator / demodulator for modulating data to be transmitted or demodulating a received wireless signal, etc.
[0124] Likewise, the communication unit (260) of the cooking appliance (2), the communication unit (360) of the home appliance (3), and the communication unit (460) of the mobile terminal device (4) may also include the wireless communication module and / or short-range communication module described above.
[0125] According to an embodiment, the communication unit (260) of the cooking device (2) may include only a short-range communication module, and in this case, the communication unit (160) of the water level detection device (1) and the communication unit (260) of the cooking device (2) can perform short-range communication.
[0126] For example, the communication unit (160) of the water level detection device (1) and the communication unit (260) of the cooking device (2) can transmit and receive various data by performing Bluetooth communication.
[0127] In addition, although not shown in the drawing, it is obvious that the home appliance (3) and the mobile terminal device (4) can also perform short-range communication to transmit and receive various data with the water level detection device (1) and / or the cooking appliance (2).
[0128] A processor (100) of a water level detection device (1) according to one embodiment can control a communication unit (160) to transmit and receive various data and / or information to various external devices (2, 3, 4).

[0130] The heating unit (210) may include a configuration for heating the cooking appliance (20) and a driving circuit for driving the configuration for heating the cooking appliance (20).
[0131] For example, assuming the cooking appliance (2) is an induction cooker, the heating unit (210) may include a coil that generates a magnetic field and a driving circuit that drives the coil. [0136] The user interface (320, 420) may include a display for providing various information to the user, and, for example, may include a touch screen that provides various information to the user and receives touch input from the user.
[0137] In the above description, each component of the communication system of the water level detection device (1) according to one embodiment has been described.
[0138] Hereinafter, a control method of a water level detection device (1) using each configuration of the communication system of the water level detection device (1) will be explained with reference to FIGS. 10 to 15.
[0139] FIG. 10 is a flowchart of a control method for a water level detection device according to another embodiment, FIG. 11 illustrates a case where a water level detection device according to one embodiment transmits temperature information and water level information to a home appliance and a mobile terminal, FIG. 12 illustrates a case where a water level detection device according to one embodiment transmits warning data to a home appliance and a mobile terminal, FIG. 13 illustrates a case where a water level detection device according to one embodiment controls the heating intensity of a cooking appliance, FIG. 14 illustrates a case where a water level detection device according to one embodiment stops the heating operation of a cooking appliance, and FIG. 15 illustrates a case where a water level detection device according to one embodiment transmits a command received from a mobile terminal to a cooking appliance.
[0140] Referring to FIG. 10, as previously described, the processor (100) can obtain temperature information and water level information of the food being cooked (2000). At this time, the temperature information can be obtained from a temperature sensor (140), and the water level information can be obtained from sensors such as a tilt angle sensor (110), a capacitance sensor (120), and a current sensor (130).
[0141] The water level information may include information about the water level inside the cooking utensil (20) and information about the dangerous water level.
[0142] The processor (100) can control the communication unit (160) to transmit information about the water level inside the cooking appliance (20) and information about the temperature value obtained from the temperature sensor (140) to the home appliance (3) or mobile terminal device (4) (2100). In this case, the home appliance (3) may include a cooking appliance (2).
[0143] Referring to FIG. 11, a home appliance (3) and / or a mobile terminal device (4) that receives information about the temperature value of the food being cooked and information about the water level inside the cooking utensil (20) from a water level detection device (1) can control each user interface (320, 420) to display the temperature of the food being cooked and the water level inside the cooking utensil (20).
[0144] Additionally, the processor (100) of the mobile terminal device (4) may output a message asking the user to control the temperature of the food in response to receiving information about the temperature value of the food and information about the water level inside the cooking appliance (20).
[0145] In this case, the water level inside the cooking utensil (20) can be expressed as a ratio of the water level to the height of the cooking utensil (20), and accordingly, the user can intuitively understand the water level inside the cooking utensil (20).
[0146] The water level detection device (1) can transmit temperature information and water level information to the home appliance (3) and / or mobile terminal device (4) only when specific conditions are satisfied according to user settings input from the user interface (170).
[0147] For example, if the user has set the user interface (170) to receive a notification when the temperature of the food reaches 95°C, the processor (100) can control the communication unit (160) to transmit information about the temperature value of the food and / or information about the water level inside the cooking appliance (20) to the home appliance (3) and / or mobile terminal device (4) when the temperature value obtained from the temperature sensor (140) reaches 95°C.
[0148] As another example, if the user has set the user interface (170) to receive a notification when the water level inside the cooking appliance (20) reaches 80%, the processor (100) can control the communication unit (160) to transmit information about the temperature value of the food being cooked and / or information about the water level inside the cooking appliance (20) to the home appliance (3) and / or mobile terminal device (4) when the water level inside the cooking appliance (20) reaches 80%.
[0149] As another example, the user can set the conditions for receiving temperature information and / or water level information through the user interface (320) of the home appliance (3) or the user interface (420) of the mobile terminal device (4).
[0150] The processor (100) can control the communication unit (160) to transmit warning data to the home appliance (3) and / or mobile terminal device (4) when the water level inside the cooking appliance (20) reaches a dangerous level (e.g., 2200) (2300).
[0151] The warning data may include data indicating that the water level inside the cooking utensil (20) has reached a dangerous level and / or a warning signal to output a warning alarm warning of reaching a dangerous level.
[0152] Referring to FIG. 12, a home appliance (3) that receives warning data from a water level detection device (1) can control a user interface (320) to output a warning message saying "Caution: Water overflow" and can control a speaker (310) to output a warning sound.
[0153] Additionally, the mobile terminal device (4) that receives warning data from the water level detection device (1) can control the user interface (420) to output a warning message saying "Caution: Water Overflow" and can control the speaker (410) to output a warning sound. Various types and forms of the warning sound and the warning message can be adopted.
[0154] The user can prevent water overflow by directly adjusting the heating intensity of the cooking device (2) when a warning message or warning sound is output from the home appliance (3) and / or mobile terminal device (4).
[0155] Additionally, the processor (100) can control the communication unit (160) to send a command to lower the heating intensity to the cooking device (2) that heats the cooking device (20) when the water level inside the cooking device (20) reaches a dangerous level (e.g., 2200) (2400).
[0156] The processor (100) can determine the degree of control of the heating intensity based on temperature information and water level information obtained from the temperature sensor (140).
[0157] In this case, the communication unit (160) of the water level detection device (1) can transmit commands using a short-range communication module with the communication unit (260) of the cooking device (2).
[0158] Referring to FIG. 13, the water level detection device (1) is always located close to the cooking appliance (2), so it can perform short-range communication with the cooking appliance (2).
[0159] Accordingly, the cooking device (2) can receive control signals by performing short-range communication without needing to be equipped with a wireless communication module.
[0160] The processor (200) of the cooking device (2) that receives a command to lower the heating intensity can control the heating unit (210) to lower the heating intensity.
[0161] Even if the water level inside the cooking appliance (20) does not reach a dangerous level (2200 no), the processor (100) can control the communication unit (160) to send a heating stop command to the cooking appliance (2) under specific conditions.
[0162] Specifically, the processor (100) can control the communication unit (160) to send a command to stop the heating operation of the cooking appliance (2) to the cooking appliance (2) when the amount of change in the water level inside the cooking appliance (20) per unit time is constant and a preset time has elapsed, and the water level inside the cooking appliance (20) decreases to a preset water level or lower (e.g., 2250) (2260).
[0163] The processor (200) of the cooking device (2) can stop the operation of the heating unit (210) based on a command received from the communication unit (260).
[0164] Referring to FIG. 14, it can be seen that a preset time has elapsed in which the water level (△H) inside the cooking utensil (20) remains constant per unit time (△t), and the water level inside the cooking utensil (20) decreases to below the preset water level (H).
[0165] A state in which the water inside the cooking appliance (20) evaporates due to heating and the water level inside the cooking appliance (20) decreases at a certain rate can be inferred as a situation in which the user forgets that they are cooking and forgets to stop the operation of the cooking appliance (2). Accordingly, to prevent the risk of fire, the water level detection device (1) can control the communication unit (160) to transmit a control signal to stop the heating unit (210) of the cooking appliance (2).
[0166] The preset water level (H) may be stored in memory (105) at approximately 10% of the water level, but is not limited thereto. For example, the preset water level (H) may be set by the user through the user interface (170).
[0167] Additionally, the processor (100) can control the communication unit (160) to transmit a control signal to stop the heating unit (210) of the cooking device (2) regardless of the water level inside the cooking device (20) when the water level (△H) inside the cooking device (20) remains constant for a critical time per unit time (△t).
[0168] The threshold time may be stored in memory (105) for about 10 hours, but is not limited thereto. For example, the threshold time may be set by the user through the user interface (170).
[0169] Up until now, it has been explained that the heating intensity of the cooking appliance (2) is controlled by the water level detection device (1), but the object controlling the heating intensity of the cooking appliance (2) is not limited to the water level detection device (1).
[0170] For example, when the water level detection device (1) transmits temperature information and water level information to the cooking device (2), the processor (200) of the cooking device (2) can automatically control the heating unit (210) based on the temperature information and water level information obtained from the water level detection device (1) through the communication unit (260).
[0171] As another example, the home appliance (3) and / or mobile terminal device (4) can transmit a command to the cooking appliance (2) to control the heating intensity of the cooking appliance (2) through the network (5) based on the target temperature received from the user through the user interface (320, 420) and the temperature information and water level information received from the water level detection device (1).
[0172] Referring to FIG. 15, if the communication unit (260) of the cooking device (2) includes a short-range communication module and does not include a wireless communication module, the home appliance (3) and / or mobile terminal device (4) can transmit the target temperature received from the user through the user interface (320, 420) to the water level detection device (1).
[0173] A water level detection device (1) that receives a target temperature can transmit a control signal to control the heating operation of the cooking device (2) by performing short-range communication with the cooking device (2).
[0174] That is, when the water level detection device (1) receives a temperature control command from a mobile terminal device (4) and / or a home appliance (3) via a wireless communication module, it can control a short-range communication module to transmit a command to adjust the heating intensity of the cooking appliance (2) based on the temperature value measured by the temperature sensor (140) and the temperature control command.
[0175] Additionally, the water level detection device (1) may transmit only the target temperature information received from the mobile terminal device (4) and / or the home appliance (3) and the temperature information of the food obtained from the temperature sensor (140) to the cooking device (2), and the processor (200) of the cooking device (2) may control the heating unit (210) based on the target temperature information and the temperature information of the food.
[0176] According to the above embodiment, even if the cooking device (2) is not equipped with a wireless communication module, it can indirectly receive control commands through the wireless communication module via the water level detection device (1).
