Abstract
Description
Technology Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a pipe marker for detecting water supply leaks. Background Technology
[0002] Generally, leak detection in water supply networks has relied on professional personnel listening for leak sounds from the road using listening rods or ground-based listening devices. However, this method has drawbacks, such as difficulty in detection during the day when ambient noise is high and results varying depending on the skill level of the detector. To address this, a method of installing noise loggers on valves or fire hydrants was introduced; however, there were limitations, such as difficulty in detecting minute leaks because the sensors were located far from the pipes, or a decrease in sensitivity caused by soil around the pipes obstructing the sensor's contact.
[0003] In addition, when the detection hole is buried underground, the main body of the detection hole or the internal sensor is frequently damaged due to the weight of vehicles passing on the road or ground subsidence. Furthermore, attaching the sensor directly to the surface of the pipe requires large-scale excavation work to completely remove soil deep underground, which results in excessive installation costs and time.
[0004] Accordingly, there is a need to develop a new type of leak detection device that can flexibly respond to vehicle loads or ground fluctuations and create an optimal detection environment by automatically removing soil around pipes underground without the need for separate precision excavation. Prior art literature
[0005] Registered Patent Publication No. 10-1577963 The problem to be solved
[0006] The present invention has been devised to solve the above-mentioned problems, and the objective of the present invention is to provide a water supply leak detection pipe marker that can wirelessly receive a leak detection signal from the surface without separate excavation and allows for easy sensor maintenance.
[0007] The problems of the present invention are not limited to those mentioned above, and other problems not mentioned will be clearly understood by those skilled in the art from the description below. means of solving the problem
[0008] A pipe marker for detecting water leakage in a water supply system according to an embodiment of the present invention for solving the above problem comprises: a detection pipe body inserted into the ground and extending vertically downward toward the water supply pipe from the surface directly above the water supply pipe buried underground; a cover unit coupled to the upper opening of the detection pipe body and exposed to the surface, and equipped with a wireless communication module and a power supply unit inside; a signal transmission cable disposed through the internal space of the detection pipe body and electrically connected to the cover unit; and a sensing module mounted on the lower end of the detection pipe body, which detects leakage in the water supply pipe and transmits a detection signal to the outside through the signal transmission cable.
[0009] The above detection tube body may include: a first tube located on the surface side and having at least one guide groove formed along the longitudinal direction on its inner circumference; a second tube accommodated inside the first tube, with a portion on which the sensing module is mounted protruding outside the first tube, and having a rotation-prevention key formed on its outer circumference that engages with the guide groove, so as to be slidably moved along the axial direction in the first tube; a cushioning member accommodated inside the first tube and positioned between the cover unit and the second tube, elastically supporting the second tube to absorb a vertical load applied to the second tube through the cover unit; and a soil inflow prevention packing made of an elastic material that is coupled to the end of the first tube, contacts the outer surface of the second tube, and shields the space between the first tube and the second tube to block the inflow of soil.
[0010] The first tube further comprises: an outer shell that supports external earth pressure; an inner shell spaced apart from the outer shell and having a guide groove formed on its inner surface; a vibration damping sheet made of a viscoelastic material attached to the inner circumference of the outer shell to absorb vibrations transmitted through the outer shell; a foamed resin material filled between the vibration damping sheet and the inner shell; and a spiral vane that protrudes and extends in a spiral structure along the axial direction from the outer circumference of the outer shell; wherein the spiral vane is positioned to be inclined downward as it moves radially along the outer circumference of the outer shell to guide rainwater flowing axially along the outer circumference of the outer shell toward the radial direction of the outer shell and discharge it, and vane holes may be formed on the plate surface of the spiral vane to interconnect soil placed at the upper and lower portions of the spiral vane.
[0011] The sensing module may include: a soil removal part that is housed inside the second tube and protrudes outside the second tube when compressed air is injected into it, thereby pushing out soil between the water supply pipe and the second tube to form a sensing space between the water supply pipe and the second tube; and a soil sensing electrode mounted on the outer surface of the soil removal part, which contacts surrounding soil and detects leakage in the water supply pipe by measuring the electrical impedance of the soil.
[0012] The above soil removal unit comprises: a fixed body coupled to the end of the second tube and accommodated inside the second tube; a donut-shaped expansion tube formed of an elastic material, having the soil sensing electrode mounted on its outer surface, coupled to the fixed body and communicating with the fixed body, which expands radially outward when compressed air is supplied into the interior of the fixed body to push out soil between the water supply pipe and the second tube and press the soil sensing electrode against the soil; an air pump disposed inside the first tube and generating compressed air; an air supply line connecting the air pump and the fixed body and transporting the compressed air generated by the air pump into the interior of the fixed body; and a tube pressure sensing sensor installed in the fixed body and detecting the internal pressure of the donut-shaped expansion tube. and may include an opening / closing valve disposed between the fixed body and the air supply line, connecting the fixed body and the air supply line, and closing the internal flow path to block the inflow of air when a preset pressure value is detected by the tube pressure sensing sensor.
[0013] The sensing module may further include: a pressure probe positioned at the center of the fixed body and protruding to the outside of the fixed body when the sensing space is formed by the donut-shaped expansion tube; and a vibration sensing sensor mounted at the end of the pressure probe and contacting the outer surface of the water pipe by the pressure probe to detect a vibration signal transmitted through the water pipe.
[0014] The above-mentioned pressure probe comprises: a pressure piston coupled to the fixed body and positioned at the center of the fixed body, connected to a branch line branched from the air supply line, and extending so that a portion protrudes to the outside of the fixed body when compressed air is supplied internally; a sensor holder coupled to the end of the pressure piston so as to be slidably movable along the axial direction of the pressure piston, fixing the vibration detection sensor, and moving toward the water supply pipe side by the pressure piston to bring the vibration detection sensor into contact with the water supply pipe; an elastic pressure member interposed between the pressure piston and the sensor holder, elastically supporting the sensor holder toward the water supply pipe side to bring the vibration detection sensor into close contact with the water supply pipe; and a load cell installed at the end of the pressure piston to support the elastic pressure member and detecting the repulsive force generated when the elastic pressure member is compressed as a contact load. and may further include an auxiliary shut-off valve disposed between the pressurizing piston and the branch line, connecting the pressurizing piston and the branch line, and closing the internal flow path to block the inflow of air when a preset load value is detected in the load cell. Effects of the invention
[0015] According to an embodiment of the present invention, by installing a detection tube body vertically above a water supply pipe and equipping a cover unit with a wireless communication module and a power supply unit, detection signals from a sensing module can be wirelessly received from the ground surface regardless of ambient noise or the skill level of the detector, unlike conventional listening rods or ground-based listening devices, thereby improving the accuracy and consistency of leak monitoring. Additionally, sensor replacement and maintenance can be performed without separate excavation, which can reduce maintenance costs.
[0016] In addition, the present invention is configured such that the main body of the detection hole includes a telescopic structure of a first tube and a second tube and a cushioning member, thereby enabling flexible response to vehicle vibrations or loads transmitted from the ground, as well as uplift and subsidence of the ground due to seasonal changes, which can significantly improve the structural durability of the device.
[0017] In addition, the present invention allows the detection hole to be firmly fixed to the ground through a spiral vane structure formed in the outer shell, while simultaneously inducing the discharge of rainwater flowing in from the surface, thereby minimizing false detection caused by rainwater.
[0018] In addition, the present invention actively forms a sensing space on the upper part of a water supply pipe through a donut-shaped expansion tube that expands by air injection alone without separate excavation equipment, thereby effectively removing soil trapped between the sensor and the pipe to maximize vibration transmission efficiency and simultaneously measure the moisture content of the surrounding soil over a wide range.
[0019] In addition, the present invention automatically adjusts the expansion pressure according to the strength of the ground by linking a tube pressure sensing sensor with an opening / closing valve, and precisely controls the contact load of the pressure probe through a load cell and an auxiliary opening / closing valve, thereby fundamentally preventing problems such as the sensor being damaged by excessive pressure on the pipe or reduced sensitivity due to weak contact.
[0020] In addition, by comprehensively detecting and analyzing changes in soil impedance (moisture) and pipe vibrations (leakage sound), the present invention can exclude malfunctions caused by simple rainwater inflow or surrounding traffic noise, accurately determine whether there is a leak, and transmit the information to the manager in real time.
[0021] The effects according to the present invention are not limited to those exemplified above, and a wider variety of effects are included within the present invention. Brief explanation of the drawing

FIG. 4 is a schematic diagram showing a soil removal unit and a soil sensing electrode according to an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 5 is a schematic diagram showing a pressure probe and a vibration sensing sensor according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0038] Referring to FIG. 1, a pipe marker (100) for detecting water leakage in a water supply pipe according to an embodiment of the present invention (hereinafter referred to as 'pipe marker (100)') is a device for detecting water leakage in a water supply pipe (P) buried underground, and mainly comprises a detection pipe body (1), a cover unit (2), a signal transmission cable (3), and a sensing module (4).
[0039] The main body of the detector tube (1) is installed by being inserted into the ground.
[0040] Specifically, the detector tube body (1) is positioned to extend vertically downward toward the water supply pipe (P) from the surface directly above the water supply pipe (P) buried underground.
[0041] Unlike conventional listening rods or noise recorders, this structure allows the sensor to be positioned as close as possible to the pipe, thereby improving the accuracy of leak detection.
[0042] For the installation of the detector tube body (1), a drilling operation can be performed from the ground surface to the water supply pipe (P), and the drilling diameter is formed to be slightly larger than the outer diameter of the detector tube body (1) so that the detector tube body (1) can be smoothly inserted.
[0043] Installation can be completed by inserting the main body of the detector tube (1) after drilling and backfilling the surrounding area.
[0044] The cover unit (2) is connected to the upper opening of the detector tube body (1) and exposed to the surface.
[0045] The cover unit (2) can perform a sealing function to prevent foreign substances or rainwater from entering the interior of the detector tube body (1).
[0046] A wireless communication module (21) and a power supply unit (22) are provided inside the cover unit (2).
[0047] The wireless communication module (21) can wirelessly transmit the leak signal detected by the sensing module (4) to an external management server or manager terminal.
[0048] The wireless communication module (21) can adopt any one of various wireless communication methods such as LoRa, NB-IoT, LTE-M, Wi-Fi, and Zigbee, and an appropriate method can be selected considering the communication distance and power consumption.
[0049] In particular, since long-distance communication and low-power operation are required for water supply network monitoring systems, LoRa or NB-IoT methods can be preferably adopted.
[0050] The power supply unit (22) can supply power to the wireless communication module (21) and the sensing module (4).
[0051] The power supply unit (22) may be composed of a battery, and high-capacity secondary batteries such as lithium-ion batteries and lithium-polymer batteries may be used.
[0052] Additionally, the power supply unit (22) may be connected to and charged with a solar panel, in which case the solar panel may be installed on the upper surface of the cover unit (2).
[0053] This allows leak signals to be received wirelessly from the surface, enabling real-time monitoring without excavation and significantly improving the convenience of maintenance.
[0054] The signal transmission cable (3) is positioned by passing through the internal space of the detection tube body (1).
[0055] The signal transmission cable (3) is electrically connected to the cover unit (2), specifically electrically connecting the wireless communication module (21) and the power supply unit (22) to the sensing module (4).
[0056] A leak signal detected by the sensing module (4) is transmitted to the wireless communication module (21) of the cover unit (2) through the signal transmission cable (3), and power generated by the power supply unit (22) can be supplied to the sensing module (4).
[0057] The signal transmission cable (3) may be composed of a composite cable in which the power line and the signal line are formed as a single unit, and the outer sheath may be covered with a waterproof and pressure-resistant material to protect against moisture and soil pressure in the underground environment.
[0058] The sensing module (4) is mounted on the lower part of the detection tube body (1) and detects leakage in the water supply pipe (P).
[0059] The leakage signal detected by the sensing module (4) is transmitted to the wireless communication module (21) via the signal transmission cable (3) and transmitted to the outside via the wireless communication module (21).
[0060] This allows for direct detection of leaks directly above the water supply pipe (P), thereby improving detection accuracy compared to conventional indirect detection methods, and enables real-time monitoring via wireless communication, allowing for a rapid response in the event of a leak.
[0061] Referring to FIG. 2, the detector tube body (1) may include a first tube (11), a second tube (12), a buffer member (13), and a soil inflow prevention packing (14).
[0062] The first tube (11) can be located on the surface side.
[0063] The first tube (11) can be formed into a cylindrical structure, and at least one guide groove (111) can be formed along the longitudinal direction on the inner surface.
[0064] The guide groove (111) can prevent rotation of the second tube (12) and guide axial movement.
[0065] The guide groove (111) can be formed in a straight line along the length of the inner surface of the first tube (11), and a plurality of them can be arranged at equal intervals along the circumferential direction.
[0066] For example, four guide grooves (111) may be formed at 90-degree intervals in the circumferential direction, or three may be formed at 120-degree intervals.
[0067] The depth of the guide groove (111) can be formed slightly larger than the protrusion height of the anti-rotation key (121) so that the anti-rotation key (121) can be stably coupled.
[0068] The first tube (11) can be made of a material with strength capable of withstanding external earth pressure, and metal materials such as stainless steel or carbon steel, or high-strength plastic materials can be used.
[0069] The second tube (12) can be accommodated inside the first tube (11).
[0070] The second tube (12) has a smaller outer diameter than the first tube (11) and can be placed in the internal space of the first tube (11).
[0071] A sensing module (4) may be mounted on the lower part of the second tube (12), and a portion of the part where the sensing module (4) is mounted may protrude outside the first tube (11).
[0072] This is to allow the sensing module (4) to directly access the water supply pipe (P) without interference from the first tube (11).
[0073] A rotation prevention key (121) may be formed on the outer surface of the second tube (12).
[0074] The anti-rotation key (121) can be coupled to a guide groove (111) formed on the inner surface of the first tube (11).
[0075] The anti-rotation key (121) can be formed in the shape of a rib protruding radially outward from the outer surface of the second tube (12), and a plurality of them can be formed corresponding to the number of guide grooves (111).
[0076] By connecting the anti-rotation key (121) to the guide groove (111), the second tube (12) can be positioned so that rotation is restricted relative to the first tube (11) and sliding movement is possible only along the axial direction.
[0077] Through this structure, the second tube (12) can descend axially inside the first tube (11) when ground subsidence occurs, but rotation is prevented so that the direction of the pipe (P) of the sensing module (4) can be maintained.
[0078] The buffer member (13) can be accommodated inside the first tube (11) and placed between the cover unit (2) and the second tube (12).
[0079] The buffer member (13) can elastically support the second tube (12).
[0080] The cushioning member (13) can be formed from a material having elastic restoring force, and a coil spring, leaf spring, rubber block, urethane foam, etc. can be used.
[0081] The cushioning member (13) can be placed in a compressed state between the lower surface of the cover unit (2) and the upper surface of the second tube (12), and normally can elastically support the second tube (12) downward.
[0082] When the load of a vehicle traveling on the road is transmitted to the second tube (12) through the cover unit (2), the cushioning member (13) can absorb the vertical load as it is compressed.
[0083] When the load is removed, the second tube (12) can return to its original position by the elastic restoring force of the buffer member (13).
[0084] In addition, even if ground subsidence occurs and the second tube (12) descends, the buffer member (13) extends to make the descent of the second tube (12) gentler, and the cover unit (2) can be maintained parallel to the ground surface.
[0085] This allows for flexible response to vehicle loads or ground fluctuations, and has the effect of preventing damage to the pipe marker (100) and preventing the cover unit (2) from being buried.
[0086] A soil inflow prevention packing (14) can be attached to the end of the first tube (11).
[0087] Specifically, the soil inflow prevention packing (14) can be attached to the lower opening of the first tube (11) and can be in contact with the outer surface of the second tube (12).
[0088] The soil inflow prevention packing (14) can be formed from an elastic material, and materials such as silicone rubber, nitrile rubber, and EPDM rubber can be used.
[0089] A through hole through which the second tube (12) passes may be formed in the central part of the soil inflow prevention packing (14), and the inner surface of the through hole may be in close contact with the outer surface of the second tube (12).
[0090] The soil inflow prevention packing (14) can block the inflow of soil by sealing the gap between the first tube (11) and the second tube (12).
[0091] Even when the second tube (12) slides axially, the sealing state can be maintained by the elastic deformation of the soil inflow prevention packing (14).
[0092] This prevents soil from flowing between the first tube (11) and the second tube (12) and obstructing slide movement or contaminating internal components, and ensures long-term operational reliability of the detection tube body (1).
[0093] Referring to FIG. 3, the first tube (11) may include an outer shell (11A), an inner shell (11B), a vibration damping sheet (11C), a foamed resin material (11D), and a spiral vane (11E).
[0094] The outer shell (11A) is positioned at the outermost part of the first tube (11) to support external earth pressure.
[0095] The outer shell (11A) can be formed into a cylindrical structure and made of a high-strength material so as to withstand the earth pressure of the surrounding ground.
[0096] The outer shell (11A) can be made of metal materials such as stainless steel or carbon steel, or high-strength plastic, FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic), etc.
[0097] The thickness of the outer shell (11A) can be determined according to the expected earth pressure magnitude and can generally be formed with a thickness of 3 mm to 10 mm.
[0098] The inner shell (11B) can be spaced apart from the outer shell (11A).
[0099] The inner shell (11B) can be formed as a cylindrical structure arranged concentrically with the outer shell (11A) and can have a smaller outer diameter than the outer shell (11A).
[0100] The aforementioned guide groove (111) may be formed on the inner surface of the inner shell (11B).
[0101] The inner shell (11B) can be formed with the same thickness as the outer shell (11A).
[0102] The inner shell (11B) can be made of metal materials such as stainless steel or aluminum alloy, or hard plastic.
[0103] The vibration damping sheet (11C) can be attached to the inner surface of the outer shell (11A).
[0104] The vibration damping sheet (11C) can be formed of a viscoelastic material and can absorb vibrations transmitted through the outer shell (11A).
[0105] Viscoelastic materials are materials that possess both viscosity and elasticity, and can have the characteristic of converting vibrational energy into thermal energy and dissipating it.
[0106] The vibration damping sheet (11C) may be made of butyl rubber, acrylic viscoelastic material, urethane viscoelastic material, etc.
[0107] The thickness of the vibration damping sheet (11C) can be formed to be 1 mm to 5 mm and can be uniformly attached to the entire inner surface of the outer shell (11A).
[0108] When traffic vibrations caused by vehicles traveling on the road or vibrations from a construction site are transmitted to the outer shell (11A) through the ground, the vibration damping sheet (11C) can absorb them to reduce the transmission of vibrations to the inner shell (11B).
[0109] The foamed resin material (11D) can be filled between the vibration damping sheet (11C) and the inner shell (11B).
[0110] The foamed resin material (11D) is a lightweight material containing fine bubbles and can perform thermal insulation and cushioning functions.
[0111] The foamed resin material (11D) may be polyurethane foam, polystyrene foam, polyethylene foam, etc., and preferably rigid polyurethane foam may be used.
[0112] The foamed resin material (11D) can completely fill the space between the outer shell (11A) and the inner shell (11B), thereby integrating the two shells and improving structural rigidity.
[0113] In addition, the foamed resin material (11D) can provide a vibration damping effect together with the vibration damping sheet (11C).
[0114] Residual vibrations passing through the vibration damping sheet (11C) are scattered and dampened in the porous structure of the foamed resin material (11D), so that vibration transmission to the inner shell (11B) can be minimized.
[0115] Through the combination of this double-shell structure and vibration damping material, external vibrations are effectively blocked from being transmitted to the sensing module (4), and the noise of the vibration detection sensor (44) is reduced, thereby improving the accuracy of detecting micro-leakage.
[0116] A spiral vane (11E) can be formed on the outer surface of the outer shell (11A).
[0117] The spiral vane (11E) can be extended in a spiral structure along the axial direction of the outer shell (11A).
[0118] That is, the spiral vane (11E) can be formed in the shape of a plate protruding radially outward from the outer surface of the outer shell (11A) and can be continuously extended in a spiral shape.
[0119] For example, the protrusion height of the spiral vane (11E) can be formed to be 10 mm to 50 mm, and the spiral pitch (axial distance of one full rotation) can be formed to be 100 mm to 500 mm.
[0120] The spiral vane (11E) can be positioned so as to be inclined downward in the radial direction on the outer surface of the outer shell (11A).
[0121] That is, the plate surface of the spiral vane (11E) can be inclined at a constant angle with respect to the horizontal plane, and the radially outer end can be positioned lower than the inner end.
[0122] Through this inclined structure, rainwater flowing axially along the outer surface of the outer shell (11A) can be guided and discharged in the radial direction of the outer shell (11A).
[0123] When rainwater or groundwater generated underground flows downward along the outer surface of the first tube (11), it can be guided radially outward along the inclined surface of the spiral vane (11E) and discharged into the surrounding ground.
[0124] This prevents water pressure from accumulating at the bottom of the first tube (11) and prevents deformation of the first tube (11) or damage to the soil inflow prevention packing (14) caused by water pressure.
[0125] Vane holes (11E1) can be formed on the plate surface of the spiral vane (11E).
[0126] The vane holes (11E1) can be formed as a plurality of through holes penetrating the plate surface of the spiral vane (11E).
[0127] The vane holes (11E1) can be distributed on the plate surface of the spiral vane (11E) and can be formed in shapes such as circular, elliptical, or elongated holes.
[0128] The vane holes (11E1) can serve to interconnect the soil placed at the top and bottom of the spiral vane (11E).
[0129] When the first tube (11) is installed in the ground, the surrounding soil can be separated into upper and lower sections by the spiral vanes (11E), and the soil can be interconnected through the vane holes (11E1) so that the soil pressure can be evenly distributed.
[0130] If there are no vane holes (11E1), a difference in earth pressure may occur between the upper and lower parts of the spiral vane (11E), and an uneven load may be applied to the first tube (11), but this problem can be resolved by connecting the earth through the vane holes (11E1).
[0131] Through this, the earth pressure around the first tube (11) is uniformly distributed, preventing localized stress concentration and improving the structural stability of the first tube (11).
[0132] Referring to FIG. 4, the sensing module (4) may include a soil removal unit (41) and a soil sensing electrode (42).
[0133] The soil removal section (41) can be accommodated inside the second tube (12).
[0134] The soil removal unit (41) can push out the soil between the water supply pipe (P) and the second tube (12) by protruding outward from the second tube (12) when compressed air is injected into it.
[0135] Through this, a sensing space (S) can be formed between the water supply pipe (P) and the second tube (12).
[0136] The sensing space (S) is a space from which soil has been removed, and can provide an environment in which the soil sensing electrode (42) can come into direct contact with the soil.
[0137] In the past, soil was interposed between the sensor and the pipe, resulting in poor electrical contact, but in the present invention, the soil is actively removed by the soil removal unit (41), thereby improving detection accuracy.
[0138] The soil sensing electrode (42) can be mounted on the outer surface of the soil removal unit (41).
[0139] Multiple soil sensing electrodes (42) may be arranged, for example, 2 to 4 electrodes may be distributed in the circumferential direction.
[0140] The soil sensing electrode (42) can be made of a metal material that has electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance, such as stainless steel, copper, or titanium.
[0141] The soil sensing electrode (42) can measure the electrical impedance of the soil by contacting the surrounding soil, applying a microcurrent to the soil, and measuring the voltage.
[0142] If a leak occurs in the water supply pipe (P), the moisture content of the surrounding soil increases, and consequently, the electrical impedance of the soil may decrease.
[0143] The soil sensing electrode (42) can detect leaks by detecting these impedance changes.
[0144] The measured impedance value is transmitted to the wireless communication module (2) of the cover unit (2) via the signal transmission cable (3), and an external management server or administrator terminal can determine whether there is a leak by comparing the received measured impedance value with a preset threshold value.
[0145] This allows for high detection sensitivity through direct contact with the soil, and enables rapid detection of leaks.
[0146] The soil removal unit (41) may include a fixed body (411), a donut-shaped expansion tube (412), an air pump (413), an air supply line (414), a tube pressure sensing sensor (415), an opening / closing valve (416), and a branch line (417).
[0147] The fixed body (411) can be coupled to the end of the second tube (12).
[0148] Specifically, the fixed body (411) can be connected to the lower opening of the second tube (12) by screw connection, welding, or interference fit.
[0149] The fixed body (411) may be formed as a cylindrical structure that is accommodated inside the second tube (12). More specifically, the fixed body (411) may be formed as a double tube structure.
[0150] An air chamber into which compressed air is introduced may be formed inside the fixed body (411), and this air chamber may be connected to a donut-shaped expansion tube (412).
[0151] The fixed body (411) can be made of metal or hard plastic and can have sufficient rigidity.
[0152] The donut-shaped expansion tube (412) can be connected to the fixed body (411).
[0153] The donut-shaped expansion tube (412) can be formed from a flexible material, and an elastic material such as silicone rubber, natural rubber, or synthetic rubber can be used.
[0154] The donut-shaped expansion tube (412) can be formed in a donut shape, that is, an annular structure, and can have an opening in the center.
[0155] A soil sensing electrode (42) can be mounted on the outer surface of the donut-shaped expansion tube (412).
[0156] The donut-shaped expansion tube (412) can be connected to the end of the fixed body (411) formed in a double-tube structure and can communicate with the internal space of the fixed body (411).
[0157] The interior of the donut-shaped expansion tube (412) is connected to the air chamber of the fixed body (411), so that when compressed air is supplied into the interior of the fixed body (411), the compressed air can flow into the interior of the donut-shaped expansion tube (412).
[0158] When compressed air is injected, the donut-shaped expansion tube (412) can be expanded radially outward.
[0159] The expanded donut-shaped expansion tube (412) protrudes outward from the second tube (12) and can push soil between the water pipe (P) and the second tube (12) outward in a radial direction.
[0160] Through this, a sensing space (S) from which soil has been removed is formed, and a soil sensing electrode (42) mounted on the outer surface of a donut-shaped expansion tube (412) can be in direct contact with the soil.
[0161] The air pump (413) can be placed inside the first tube (11).
[0162] The air pump (413) can perform the role of generating compressed air.
[0163] The air pump (413) can be a small diaphragm pump, a piston pump, a rotary pump, etc., and can be driven by receiving power from the power supply unit (22).
[0164] The air pump (413) can be operated when necessary to generate compressed air and inflate the donut-shaped expansion tube (412).
[0165] The discharge pressure of the air pump (413) can be set to a level sufficient to inflate the donut-shaped expansion tube (412) and push out the soil, and generally a pressure of 0.5 bar to 3 bar can be used.
[0166] The air supply line (414) can connect the air pump (413) and the fixed body (411).
[0167] The air supply line (414) can be formed into a flexible tube or hose, and a polyurethane tube, nylon tube, etc. can be used.
[0168] The air supply line (414) can perform the function of transferring compressed air generated by the air pump (413) into the interior of the fixed body (411).
[0169] The air supply line (414) can be placed through the internal space of the detection tube body (1) together with the signal transmission cable (3).
[0170] The tube pressure sensing sensor (415) can be installed on the fixed body (411).
[0171] The tube pressure sensing sensor (415) can perform the role of detecting the internal pressure of the donut-shaped expansion tube (412).
[0172] The tube pressure sensing sensor (415) can be composed of a pressure transducer, and various types of pressure sensors such as piezoelectric, capacitive, and strain gauge types can be used.
[0173] The tube pressure sensing sensor (415) is installed in a position communicating with the air chamber of the fixed body (411) to measure the internal pressure in real time.
[0174] The measured pressure value can be transmitted to the wireless communication module (21) of the cover unit (2) via the signal transmission cable (3).
[0175] The shut-off valve (416) can be placed between the fixed body (411) and the air supply line (414).
[0176] That is, the shut-off valve (416) can be installed at a location connecting the fixed body (411) and the air supply line (414).
[0177] The opening / closing valve (416) may be composed of a solenoid valve, and its opening / closing may be controlled by an electrical signal.
[0178] The opening / closing valve (416) can block the inflow of air by closing the internal flow path when a preset pressure value is detected by the tube pressure sensing sensor (415).
[0179] Specifically, when the air pump (413) starts operating to supply compressed air, the shut-off valve (416) remains open so that the compressed air can flow into the fixed body (411).
[0180] As the donut-shaped expansion tube (412) expands, the internal pressure increases, and the tube pressure sensing sensor (415) can detect this.
[0181] When the pressure value detected by the tube pressure sensing sensor (415) reaches a preset target pressure value, a control signal is transmitted to the opening / closing valve (416) so that the opening / closing valve (416) can be closed.
[0182] When the shut-off valve (416) is closed, the inflow of air is blocked, and the donut-shaped expansion tube (412) can maintain the current pressure.
[0183] Through this, damage caused by over-inflation of the donut-shaped expansion tube (412) is prevented, the effect of removing soil is stably secured by maintaining the appropriate pressure, and the energy consumption of the air pump (413) is reduced by blocking unnecessary air supply.
[0184] The soil removal section (41) may further include a branch line (417).
[0185] The branch line (417) can be formed by branching off from the air supply line (414), and can supply compressed air to the pressurizing probe (43) to be described later.
[0186] The branch line (417) can be branched off from the middle point of the air supply line (414) and connected to the pressurizing probe (43).
[0187] Additionally, although not shown in the drawing, a first exhaust valve (not shown) may be placed in the fixed body (411).
[0188] The first exhaust valve can be opened when an error occurs in the detection value of the tube pressure sensing sensor (415) or when a maintenance signal is received.
[0189] When the first exhaust valve is opened, the compressed air of the donut-shaped expansion tube (412) is discharged to the outside, and the soil removal part (41) can be returned to its initial state.
[0190] The first exhaust valve may be composed of a solenoid valve and remains in a closed state under normal circumstances, but can be opened when necessary.
[0191] When a malfunction or abnormal value is detected in the tube pressure sensing sensor (415), or when the manager needs to contract the soil removal unit (41) for maintenance, the first exhaust valve can be opened to quickly discharge compressed air.
[0192] This ensures safety in abnormal situations and improves the convenience of maintenance.
[0193] Referring to FIGS. 4 and FIGS. 5, the sensing module (4) may further include a pressure probe (43) and a vibration detection sensor (44).
[0194] Referring to FIG. 5, the pressure probe (43) can be placed in the center of the fixed body (411).
[0195] The pressure probe (43) can protrude outside the fixed body (411) when the sensing space (S) is formed by the donut-shaped expansion tube (412).
[0196] The pressure probe (43) can perform the function of bringing the vibration detection sensor (44) into contact with the water pipe (P).
[0197] A vibration detection sensor (44) can be mounted on the end of the pressure probe (43).
[0198] The vibration detection sensor (44) can be brought into contact with the outer surface of the water pipe (P) by the pressure probe (43).
[0199] The vibration detection sensor (44) can detect vibration signals transmitted through the water supply pipe (P).
[0200] The vibration detection sensor (44) may be an acceleration sensor, a geophone, a piezoelectric sensor, etc., and preferably a MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) acceleration sensor may be used.
[0201] If a leak occurs in the water supply pipe (P), water may be ejected at high pressure from the leak point, and a distinctive vibration pattern may occur.
[0202] These vibrations propagate along the pipes, and a vibration detection sensor (44) can detect them.
[0203] The vibration detection sensor (44) can determine whether there is a leak by analyzing the amplitude, frequency, waveform, etc. of the vibration, and can also estimate the amount of leakage or the location of leakage by analyzing the characteristics of the leakage signal.
[0204] The measured vibration signal is transmitted to the wireless communication module (21) of the cover unit (2) via the signal transmission cable (3) and can be transmitted to the outside via the wireless communication module (21).
[0205] This significantly enhances the reliability of leak detection through a dual detection method of soil impedance and vibration, and reduces false positives through the mutual verification of the two detection methods.
[0206] The pressure probe (43) may include a pressure piston (431), a sensor holder (432), an elastic pressure member (433), a load cell (434), and an auxiliary opening / closing valve (435).
[0207] The pressure piston (431) can be coupled to the fixed body (411) and positioned in the center of the fixed body (411).
[0208] The pressurizing piston (431) can be formed in a cylinder-piston structure, the cylinder is fixed to a fixed body (411), and the piston can be positioned to move axially inside the cylinder.
[0209] The pressurizing piston (431) can be connected to the branch line (417).
[0210] Compressed air can be supplied into the interior of the pressurizing piston (431) through the branch line (417).
[0211] When compressed air is supplied into the interior of the pressurized piston (431), the pressure inside the cylinder increases, and the piston can be extended in the axial direction.
[0212] When the piston is extended, a part of the piston may protrude to the outside of the fixed body (411).
[0213] The stroke (travel distance) of the pressurizing piston (431) can be set considering the distance to the water supply pipe (P), and generally can have a stroke of 50 mm to 300 mm.
[0214] The sensor holder (432) can be coupled to the end of the pressure piston (431).
[0215] The sensor holder (432) can be coupled to slide along the axial direction of the pressure piston (431).
[0216] The sensor holder (432) can serve to secure the vibration detection sensor (44).
[0217] A vibration detection sensor (44) may be mounted on the end or outer surface of the sensor holder (432), and the vibration detection sensor (44) may be fixed by screw coupling, adhesive, or clamping.
[0218] The sensor holder (432) can be moved toward the water pipe (P) by the pressurizing piston (431) to bring the vibration detection sensor (44) into contact with the water pipe (P).
[0219] The sensor holder (432) is coupled to be slidably movable along the axial direction of the pressure piston (431) in order to enable elastic support by the elastic pressure member (433) to be described later.
[0220] An elastic pressure member (433) can be interposed between the pressure piston (431) and the sensor holder (432).
[0221] The elastic pressure member (433) can perform the function of elastically supporting the sensor holder (432) toward the water supply pipe (P).
[0222] The elastic pressure member (433) can be composed of a coil spring and can be arranged as a compression spring.
[0223] The elastic pressure member (433) is positioned in a compressed state between the end of the pressure piston (431) and the sensor holder (432) so as to press the sensor holder (432) toward the water supply pipe (P).
[0224] When the pressurizing piston (431) is extended and pushes the sensor holder (432) toward the water pipe (P), the vibration detection sensor (44) can come into contact with the water pipe (P).
[0225] If the pressure piston (431) continues to extend even after contact, the elastic pressure member (433) is compressed, and elastic force can be applied to the sensor holder (432).
[0226] Through this, the vibration detection sensor (44) can be in close contact with the water pipe (P) with a constant contact pressure.
[0227] The spring constant of the elastic pressure member (433) can be selected to provide an appropriate contact pressure, and generally, a spring providing a contact force of 10 N to 100 N can be used.
[0228] The load cell (434) can be installed at the end of the pressurizing piston (431).
[0229] The load cell (434) can be positioned to support the elastic pressure member (433).
[0230] The load cell (434) can detect the repulsive force generated when the elastic pressure member (433) is compressed as a contact load.
[0231] The load cell (434) is a load sensor, and strain gauge type, piezoelectric type, capacitive type, etc. may be used.
[0232] When the elastic pressure member (433) is compressed, a repulsive force is generated, and this repulsive force can act on the load cell (434).
[0233] By measuring this repulsive force, the load cell (434) can detect the load that the vibration detection sensor (44) is in contact with the water pipe (P) in real time.
[0234] The measured load value can be transmitted to the wireless communication module (21) of the cover unit (2) via the signal transmission cable (3).
[0235] An auxiliary shut-off valve (435) can be placed between the pressurizing piston (431) and the branch line (417).
[0236] That is, the auxiliary shut-off valve (435) can be installed at a location connecting the pressurizing piston (431) and the branch line (417).
[0237] The auxiliary shut-off valve (435) may be composed of a solenoid valve, and its opening and closing may be controlled by an electrical signal.
[0238] The auxiliary shut-off valve (435) can block the inflow of air by closing the internal flow path when a preset load value is detected in the load cell (434).
[0239] The specific operating principle is as follows.
[0240] When the air pump (413) operates to supply compressed air, it can be supplied to the fixed body (411) through the air supply line (414) and at the same time to the pressurizing piston (431) through the branch line (417).
[0241] When the auxiliary shut-off valve (435) is open, compressed air flows into the pressurized piston (431), allowing the piston to extend.
[0242] As the piston extends, it pushes the sensor holder (432), allowing the vibration detection sensor (44) to come into contact with the water pipe (P).
[0243] When the piston continues to extend after contact, the elastic pressure member (433) is compressed, and the load cell (434) can detect the repulsive force.
[0244] When the load value detected by the load cell (434) reaches a preset target load value, a control signal is transmitted to the auxiliary shut-off valve (435) so that the auxiliary shut-off valve (435) can be closed.
[0245] When the auxiliary shut-off valve (435) is closed, the inflow of air is blocked, the pressurizing piston (431) maintains its current position, and the contact pressure of the vibration detection sensor (44) can be maintained at a constant level.
[0246] Through this, damage to the water pipe (P) caused by excessive contact pressure is automatically prevented, and the sensor holder (432) maintains contact with the water pipe (P) with a constant contact force in combination with the elastic pressure member (433), thereby improving the sensitivity and stability of the vibration signal and reducing wear on the sensor, which extends its lifespan.
[0247] Although not shown in the drawing, a second exhaust valve (not shown) may be provided on the pressurizing piston (431).
[0248] The second exhaust valve can be opened when an error occurs in the detection value of the load cell (434) or when a maintenance signal is received.
[0249] When the second exhaust valve is opened, the compressed air of the pressurizing piston (431) is discharged to the outside, and the pressurizing probe (43) can return to its initial state.
[0250] The second exhaust valve may be composed of a solenoid valve and remains in a closed state under normal circumstances, but can be opened when necessary.
[0251] When a failure or abnormal value is detected in the load cell (434), or when an administrator needs to retract the pressure probe (43) for maintenance, the second exhaust valve can be opened to quickly discharge compressed air.
[0252] This ensures safety in abnormal situations and improves the convenience of maintenance.
[0253] As explained above, the overall operating mechanism of the pipe marker (100) can be summarized as follows.
[0254] When the pipe marker (100) is installed directly above the water supply pipe (P), the air pump (413) can operate to generate compressed air.
[0255] Compressed air is supplied to the fixed body (411) through the air supply line (414) and can inflate the donut-shaped expansion tube (412).
[0256] As the donut-shaped expansion tube (412) expands, it pushes away surrounding soil and forms a sensing space (S), allowing the soil sensing electrode (42) to come into close contact with the soil.
[0257] When the tube pressure sensing sensor (415) detects the target pressure, the shut-off valve (416) is closed so that the appropriate pressure can be maintained.
[0258] At the same time, compressed air is supplied to the pressurizing piston (431) through the branch line (417), and when the tube pressure sensing sensor (415) reaches the target pressure, the auxiliary shut-off valve (435) that was closed is opened so that the piston extends and the vibration sensing sensor (44) can come into contact with the water supply pipe (P).
[0259] When the load cell (434) detects the target load, the auxiliary shut-off valve (435) is closed so that the appropriate contact pressure can be maintained.
[0260] Subsequently, the soil sensing electrode (42) measures the electrical impedance of the soil, and the vibration sensing sensor (44) detects the vibration of the pipe, so that leakage can be detected in two ways.
[0261] The detected signal is transmitted to the wireless communication module (21) of the cover unit (2) via the signal transmission cable (3), and can be transmitted to the outside via the wireless communication module (21) to enable real-time monitoring.
[0262] According to an embodiment of the present invention, by installing the detection tube body (1) vertically above the water supply pipe (P) and equipping the cover unit (2) with a wireless communication module (21) and a power supply unit (22), the detection signal of the sensing module (4) can be received wirelessly from the ground surface regardless of ambient noise or the skill level of the detector, unlike conventional listening rods or ground listening devices, thereby improving the accuracy and consistency of leak monitoring, and enabling sensor replacement and maintenance without separate excavation, resulting in reduced maintenance costs.
[0263] In addition, by arranging the second tube (12) so as to be slidable in the axial direction inside the first tube (11) and interposing a cushioning member (13), unlike conventional fixed detection holes, when ground subsidence occurs, only the second tube (12) descends and the cover unit (2) remains on the ground surface, preventing burial. Furthermore, vertical loads such as vehicle loads are absorbed by the cushioning member (13), preventing damage to the pipe marker (100), and the seal between the first tube (11) and the second tube (12) is maintained by the soil inflow prevention packing (14), thereby preventing contamination or damage to the internal sensor.
[0264] In addition, by configuring the first tube (11) into a double shell structure of an outer shell (11A) and an inner shell (11B) and placing a vibration damping sheet (11C) made of a viscoelastic material and a foamed resin material (11D) between them, external vibrations such as traffic vibrations, which were difficult to block in a conventional single shell structure, are effectively blocked from being transmitted to the sensing module (4), thereby reducing noise during vibration detection and improving the accuracy of detecting fine leaks. Furthermore, rainwater on the outer surface of the pipe marker (100) is discharged radially by the spiral vane (11E), preventing the accumulation of water pressure, and the upper and lower soil are connected through the vane hole (11E1), resulting in a uniform distribution of soil pressure around the pipe marker (100).
[0265] In addition, by injecting compressed air into the soil removal section (41) to actively push out the soil between the second tube (12) and the water supply pipe (P) and by directly attaching the soil sensing electrode (42) to the soil, a sensing space (S) can be formed without the large-scale precision excavation work required for conventional sensor attachment, thereby significantly reducing installation costs and time. Furthermore, electrical contact failures caused by soil inclusions are resolved, improving the accuracy of measuring the electrical impedance of the soil, and enabling rapid detection of changes in soil moisture content in the event of leakage.
[0266] In addition, the internal pressure of the donut-shaped expansion tube (412) is monitored in real time through the tube pressure sensing sensor (415), and the opening / closing valve (416) is automatically closed when the set pressure is reached, thereby preventing damage to the expansion tube (412) due to over-inflation and ensuring the reliability of the soil removal operation. Furthermore, the soil contact effect of the soil sensing electrode (42) is stably maintained by maintaining the appropriate pressure, and the energy consumption of the air pump (413) is reduced by blocking unnecessary air supply.
[0267] In addition, after a detection space (S) is formed by a donut-shaped expansion tube (412), a pressure probe (43) contacts the water supply pipe (P) and a vibration detection sensor (44) directly detects the vibration of the pipe (P). Unlike conventional detection methods that detect from a location far from the pipe, the reliability of leak detection is significantly improved through a dual detection method of soil impedance detection and vibration detection. In particular, it is possible to estimate the amount of leakage and the location of leakage through the analysis of the pipe (P) vibration pattern, and false detection is reduced through mutual verification of the two detection methods.
[0268] In addition, the load cell (434) detects the contact load of the pipe (P) of the vibration detection sensor (44) in real time, and the auxiliary shut-off valve (435) closes when the set load is reached. Unlike the conventional manual adjustment method, damage to the pipe (P) due to excessive contact pressure is automatically prevented even in an underground environment. Furthermore, in combination with the elastic pressure member (433), the sensor holder (432) maintains contact with the pipe (P) with a constant contact force, thereby improving the sensitivity and stability of the vibration signal, reducing wear on the sensor and extending its lifespan, and automatically setting the optimal contact pressure regardless of the pipe material or soil conditions.
