For reference, each component (100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600) constituting the food waste cost payment system (1000) illustrated in FIG. 2 is merely an example for easy understanding of the present invention, and other additional system components may be added.

[0035] A food waste cost payment device (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention is characterized by enabling a guest staying at an accommodation facility to pay for external delivery food using a delivery application downloaded and installed on a guest terminal (200), and to pay for a predetermined food waste disposal cost together with the order and payment of external delivery food, and upon receiving guest approval information for a total payment amount including the food waste disposal cost, to perform payment for the total payment amount, and to transmit payment information for the total payment amount including the food waste disposal cost not only to the guest terminal (200) but also to the accommodation facility operator terminal (300) and the restaurant terminal (400). A block diagram of a food waste cost payment device (100) configured to implement such operations and functions is exemplarily illustrated in FIG. 2.

[0036] As illustrated, the food waste cost payment device (100) according to the present invention may be composed of a control unit (110), a communication unit (120), a payment unit (130), a storage unit (140), etc. For reference, the components (110, 120, 130, 140) of the food waste cost payment device (100) illustrated in FIG. 2 are merely examples for easy understanding of the present invention, and it will be obvious that additional components (e.g., a power unit, a display unit, a monitoring unit, a notification unit, etc.) may be additionally provided in the food waste cost payment device (100).

[0037] For reference, the food waste cost payment device (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention corresponds to a device based on a proprietary computer program that is manufactured and operated by an individual or a private company, and may be referred to by various terms such as device, equipment, server, platform, or center depending on various expression methods in the relevant technical field.

[0038] The control unit (110) may be configured to comprehensively control various operations, functions, operations, communication, storage, management, etc. performed in the food waste cost payment device (100) according to the present invention. For example, the control unit (110) can determine whether the delivery destination of a food order received through a delivery application is a lodging facility, and if it is a lodging facility, can determine whether the lodging facility is included in the lodging facility DB stored in the storage unit (140). If it is a lodging facility included in the lodging facility DB, it can control the operation of providing an interface to the guest terminal (200) that allows the guest to pay a predetermined food waste disposal fee together, and can control the operation of receiving approval information for the total payment amount including the food waste disposal fee from the guest terminal (200). It can also control the payment operation of the total payment amount including the food waste disposal fee performed by the payment unit (130), and can control the operation of transmitting payment information (or payment completion information) for the total payment amount including the food waste disposal fee to the guest terminal (200), the lodging facility operator terminal (300), and the restaurant terminal (400), and the operation of storing information about the lodging facility, user information, order information, information about the food waste disposal fee, etc. in the storage unit (140).

[0039] For reference, the control unit (110) can be implemented as a processor, controller, microprocessor, microcontroller, etc. That is, the control unit (110) can operate any one or at least two of the components included in the food waste cost payment device (100) in combination with each other to operate the application program.

[0040] The communication unit (120) can enable the food waste cost payment device (100) according to the present invention to communicate with other terminals, servers, etc., such as a guest terminal (200), accommodation facility operator terminal (300), restaurant terminal (400), payment server (500), etc., through a communication network (600). For example, the communication unit (120) can transmit information (or data) regarding the total payment cost including food waste disposal costs to the guest terminal (200), receive approval information regarding the total payment amount including food waste disposal costs from the guest terminal (200), and be configured to transmit payment completion information regarding the total payment amount including food waste disposal costs to the guest terminal (200), accommodation facility operator terminal (300), restaurant terminal (400), etc.

[0041] For reference, the communication unit (120) is provided for direct connection with the outside or connection through a network and can be implemented as a wired and / or wireless communication unit (120). More specifically, the communication unit (120) can transmit data from the control unit (110), payment unit (130), storage unit (140), etc. via wired or wireless means, or receive data from the outside via wired or wireless means and transmit it to the control unit (110) or payment unit (130) or store it in the storage unit (140). Here, the data may include content such as text, images, and video.

[0042] Additionally, the communication unit (120) can communicate via LAN, WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access), LTE (Long Term Evolution), WiBro (Wireless Broadband Internet), RF (Radio Frequency) communication, Wireless LAN, Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity), NFC (Near Field Communication), Bluetooth, infrared communication, etc. However, this is exemplary, and various wired and wireless communication technologies applicable in the relevant technical field may be used according to the embodiment to which the present invention is applied.

[0043] The payment unit (130) may be configured to process the payment of the total payment amount, including the cost of the ordered food received from the guest terminal (200), more specifically the cost of food waste disposal. For example, an accommodation facility applying the principle of guest burden of food waste disposal costs according to one embodiment of the present invention may subscribe to (or participate in) the food waste cost payment service (or platform) according to the present invention, and at least one accommodation facility that has subscribed to the service may build an accommodation facility database (DB) of the storage unit (140).

[0044] For reference, the principle of collecting food waste disposal fees from guests using accommodation facilities is not intended for the benefit of accommodation facility operators, but rather is a policy intended to more actively encourage guests to reduce the use of single-use and plastic items and to take the lead in environmental protection.

[0045] Accordingly, if the destination where a guest orders delivery food through a delivery application corresponds to an accommodation facility and that accommodation facility participates in the food waste cost payment service and is included in the accommodation facility DB, the payment unit (130) can be configured to process the payment of a predetermined food waste disposal cost together with the food cost and delivery cost through the payment server (500).

[0046] The principle of guests bearing the cost of food waste disposal can be communicated to guests in various ways. For example, a notice may be placed in each guest room of the accommodation (e.g., “Our accommodation is a facility where guests are required to pay for food waste disposal”), additional information may be provided when booking through an accommodation reservation application, or guests may be informed verbally or through a written notice during check-in.

[0047] Accordingly, when a guest visiting the accommodation facility orders external delivery food through a delivery application, the detailed order information is transmitted to the food waste cost payment device (100) via the communication network (600) and the communication unit (120), and the control unit (110) can extract information about the accommodation facility, room information, accommodation facility operator information, food waste disposal cost information, etc. from the received order information, and the payment unit (130) can be configured to perform a series of cost payment and settlement processes by communicating (or cooperating) with the payment server (500) to allow the guest terminal (200) to make a payment for the total payment amount including the food waste disposal cost, and to pay all or part of the food waste disposal cost to the accommodation facility operator terminal (300).

[0048] FIG. 3 is an example diagram illustrating an interface for paying for food waste disposal costs together when ordering food delivery using a delivery application according to an embodiment of the present invention. As illustrated exemplarily in FIG. 3, the control unit (110) can provide an interface to a guest terminal (200) that allows the orderer, i.e., the guest of the accommodation, to pay for a predetermined food waste disposal cost together when the delivery destination of the food is an accommodation and the accommodation is included in the accommodation DB stored in the storage unit (140).

[0049] When ordering food, the guest may be informed of additional payment for food waste disposal costs in addition to the food order amount and delivery fee (or delivery tip), and when the guest transmits approval for the amount including food waste disposal costs to the food waste cost payment device (100), the payment unit (130) may perform payment for the total payment amount including food waste disposal costs. For reference, the additional food waste disposal costs may be set and proposed in various ways, which will be described in more detail through FIG. 4 below.

[0050] Here, a financial account of an accommodation facility operator capable of receiving food waste disposal costs paid by a guest may be pre-registered in the food waste cost payment device (100) and encrypted and stored in the storage unit (140), etc., and similarly, a guest's card, account, etc. that enables payment of a total payment amount including food costs, delivery costs, and food waste disposal costs through a delivery application may be pre-registered in the food waste cost payment device (100) and encrypted and stored in the storage unit (140), etc., or a cost payment application connected to the card, account, etc. may be downloaded and installed on the guest terminal (200), and thus a series of food waste cost payment processes may be performed so that a predetermined food waste disposal cost is paid to the accommodation facility operator's registered account in a manner such as card payment or cash transfer through a payment server (500) to which the payment unit (130) is communicably coupled.

[0051] In this regard, as illustrated exemplarily in FIG. 1, if a guest does not check out without cleaning up food waste, disposable items, etc., but cleans up or organizes the food waste to the extent that the accommodation operator does not need to perform additional cleaning (i.e., restores the room to its original state), the cost of food waste disposal can also be refunded by the payment unit (130), and accordingly, consumer complaints regarding the policy (or guideline) of imposing the cost of food waste disposal on guests can be fundamentally prevented.

[0052] That is, the food waste disposal cost according to the present invention is considered as a concept similar to a deposit. When a guest visiting an accommodation facility consumes external delivery food within the accommodation facility, the food waste disposal cost is paid to the accommodation facility operator by preemptively paying the food waste disposal cost together when placing an order through a delivery application. Subsequently, if the accommodation facility operator determines or confirms that there is no need to clean or dispose of food waste in the room, the food waste disposal cost received preemptively can be returned to the guest. For example, if the accommodation facility operator terminal (300) requests the return of the food waste disposal cost from the food waste cost payment device (100), the payment unit (130) can respond to this and process the return of all or part of the food waste disposal cost to the guest terminal (200). In this case as well, the refund of the cost by the payment unit (130) can be performed by utilizing the guest's pre-registered card, account, etc.

[0053] Here, the refund of food waste disposal fees is, in principle, to be refunded in full (for example, if 2,000 won is received as a food waste disposal fee and it is confirmed upon checkout that there is no food waste or disposable items, 2,000 won is refunded to the guest), but according to another embodiment of the present invention, it may be implemented to refund only a portion, rather than the entire amount, of the paid food waste disposal fee (for example, if it is confirmed that not all food waste has been cleaned up and only a small amount is present, only 1,000 won of the 2,000 won food waste disposal fee received may be refunded to the guest).

[0054] Alternatively, in response to a guest’s expression of intent to check out and a request for a refund of food waste disposal costs, if the accommodation operator visits the room and conducts a final inspection and determines that further disposal of food waste and disposable items is unnecessary, the accommodation operator may refund the food waste disposal costs to the guest using cash on hand.

[0055] For reference, such a policy regarding the refund of food waste disposal fees can also be announced to guests in advance in the guest room or through delivery applications (e.g., “The fee will be refunded if you do not leave any food waste behind”). Therefore, by collecting the food waste disposal fee from guests in advance as a deposit and subsequently receiving the refund upon check-out, guests can be encouraged to keep their rooms clean and avoid leaving food waste behind. Such desirable behavior and practices by guests can have a very positive impact on reducing food waste and protecting the environment.

[0056] The storage unit (140) can store various information, data, etc. for implementing the food waste cost payment service according to the present invention. For example, the storage unit (140) may store a database of accommodation facilities that includes information on accommodation facilities that follow (or apply) the principle of guests bearing the cost of food waste disposal, data regarding food waste disposal costs by accommodation facility, data regarding payment history, guest (or user) information, etc.

[0057] In particular, when a food delivery order is received from a guest terminal (200) through the communication unit (120) of the food waste cost payment device (100) according to the present invention and the delivery destination corresponds to an accommodation facility, the control unit (110) may be configured to determine whether the accommodation facility is included in the database of accommodation facilities stored in the storage unit (140) in order to control the operation of the payment unit (130) so that the guest makes an additional payment for food waste disposal costs, and an example of such an accommodation facility database is shown in FIG. 4a and FIG. 4b.

[0058] As described, the accommodation database stored in the storage unit (140) may contain categorized information such as accommodation ID (e.g., 0001, 0002, 0003, 0004, etc.), accommodation name (e.g., XXX Motel, YYY Motel, ZZZ Motel, AAA Motel, etc.), accommodation address (e.g., Seocho-gu, Seoul, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do, Nam-gu, Busan, Gwacheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, etc.), accommodation contact information (e.g., 010-XXXX-XXXX, 010-YYYY-YYY, 010-ZZZZ-ZZZZ, 010-AAAA-AAAA, etc.), food waste disposal cost (e.g., 2000 won, 1000 won, depending on the amount of food, depending on the order amount, etc.), and room information (e.g., 30, 50, 33, 25, etc.). For reference, the items of the accommodation database shown in FIG. 4 are merely examples for easy understanding of the present invention, and it will be obvious that other additional items (e.g., year of establishment, rating, comments, etc.) may constitute the accommodation database and be stored in the storage unit (140), etc.

[0059] Here, the additional food waste disposal fees charged to guests who consume food while using the accommodation may be fixed fees or variable fees.

[0060] For example, in the case of XXX Motel and YYY Motel in FIG. 4, the food waste disposal cost may be set at a fixed (i.e., constant) cost, and this fixed cost of food waste disposal may be set differently for each accommodation facility. As illustrated, the food waste disposal cost of XXX Motel may be set to 2,000 won and the food waste disposal cost of YYY Motel may be set to 1,000 won, and this food waste disposal cost may be modified or changed as needed by a request from the accommodation facility operator terminal (300) (for example, in FIG. 4, the operator of XXX Motel may lower the food waste disposal cost from 2,000 won to 1,000 won), and accordingly, the modified or changed food waste disposal cost may be announced to the guest in the room or through a delivery application, etc.

[0061] Additionally, in the example of FIG. 4, for ZZZ Motel and AAA Motel, the food waste disposal cost may be set as a variable (i.e., changing) cost, and for example, the variable food waste disposal cost may be set based on the type, quantity, price, etc. of the food. As illustrated, for ZZZ Motel, the food waste disposal cost may be set to be calculated based on the quantity of food, and for AAA Motel, the food waste disposal cost may be set to be calculated based on the order amount of food. In this case, the control unit (110) of the food waste cost payment device (100) may be configured to calculate an appropriate food waste disposal cost based on the results of the analysis by analyzing the quantity, price, type, etc. of the food included in the food delivery order (for example, a cost calculation program may be provided so that a higher food waste disposal cost is set for greasy or soupy foods compared to foods that are not like that).

[0062] Additionally, the selection of fixed or variable calculation of food waste disposal costs according to the present invention may be implemented to be modified or changed by a request from the accommodation operator terminal (300). For example, in the example of FIG. 4, the accommodation operator of XXX Motel sets a fixed food waste disposal cost of 2,000 won, but may request a change to a variable calculation method from the food waste cost payment device (100). When the food waste cost payment device (100) receives, approves, and applies the request, the food waste disposal cost, which is automatically calculated based on the amount, type, amount, etc. of food waste by the control unit (110), may be set for XXX Motel.

[0063] Likewise, in the example of FIG. 4, the accommodation operator of ZZZ Motel sets the food waste disposal cost according to the order amount of delivery food, but may request a change to a fixed amount (e.g., 2,000 won, etc.) from the food waste cost payment device (100), and when the food waste cost payment device (100) receives, approves, and applies the request, the fixed food waste disposal cost may be set for ZZZ Motel by the control unit (110).

[0064] When the control unit (110) automatically calculates a predetermined food waste disposal cost based on the type, quantity, and type of food (e.g., based on AI, Big-Data) and transmits the total payment amount to the guest terminal (200) along with the food cost and delivery cost, the guest terminal (200) that receives this may request a review if the calculated food waste disposal cost is not satisfactory.

[0065] For example, if a relatively high amount of food waste disposal cost is calculated and presented even though the ordered food is of a type that generates almost no waste (e.g., coffee, gimbap, etc.), the guest may request a review and recalculation of the food waste disposal cost from the food waste cost payment device (100) through the guest terminal (200), and the control unit (110) of the food waste cost payment device (100) that receives this may review the type, quantity, and type of food ordered by the guest, recalculate the food waste disposal cost, and then send it.

[0066] To this end, according to an additional embodiment of the present invention, an interface that allows the guest terminal (200) to request a re-examination of the calculated food waste disposal cost may be additionally provided to the guest terminal (200) through a delivery application. Here, to ensure smooth order acceptance and payment processing, the re-examination of the food waste disposal cost per order may be limited to one time.

[0067] In addition, the food waste disposal cost of the accommodation facility, which is paid in addition to the food cost and delivery cost, can have a lower limit and an upper limit set regardless of its type (fixed or variable). For example, the control unit (110) of the food waste cost payment device (100) can set a reasonable lower limit (e.g., 1,000 won) and upper limit (e.g., 5,000 won) for the food waste disposal cost by comprehensively taking into account the operation of the accommodation facility, prices, etc., and can inform guests and accommodation facility operators of this.

[0068] Accordingly, if the fixed cost set independently by the operator of the accommodation facility as the food waste disposal cost for each accommodation facility is below the lower limit or exceeds the upper limit, the control unit (110) of the food waste cost payment device (100) may request the accommodation facility operator to adjust or modify the set food waste disposal cost, and even if the control unit (110) calculates the food waste disposal cost variably based on the amount, type, amount, etc. of food included in the food delivery order, it may be configured to calculate the food waste disposal cost within the range of the set lower and upper limits.

[0069] Here, although not explicitly illustrated in the drawings, the food waste cost payment device (100) according to the present invention may be coupled to enable communication with an accommodation business registration agency, etc., and the control unit (110) may be additionally configured to search for accommodations that are registered and operated as accommodations but are not included in the accommodation database of the storage unit (140), and to propose to representatives, operators, managers, etc., participation in the food waste cost payment service according to the present invention, which contributes to the principle of guests bearing the cost of food waste disposal based on a delivery application and the reduction of food waste and environmental protection. Information on accommodations newly joining the service (or campaign) applying the principle of guests bearing the cost of food waste disposal at accommodations may be listed in the accommodation database of the storage unit (140), and upon joining, whether to set the food waste disposal cost in a fixed manner or a variable manner may be determined according to the choice of the accommodation operator.

[0070] For reference, the storage unit (140) can be implemented as various types of storage devices capable of inputting and outputting information, such as HDD (Hard Disk Drive), ROM (Read Only Memory), RAM (Random Access Memory), EEPROM (Electrically Erasable and Programmable Read Only Memory), flash memory, CF (Compact Flash) card, SD (Secure Digital) card, SM (Smart Media) card, MMC (Multimedia) card, or Memory Stick, as is known to a person skilled in the art, and can be provided inside the food waste cost payment device (100) as shown in FIG. 2 or can be provided in a separate external device. Alternatively, the storage unit (140) may be replaced with web storage that performs storage functions on the Internet.

[0071] According to an additional embodiment of the present invention, whether food can be ordered when food waste disposal costs are not paid can be set differently for each accommodation facility, and such setting information can be stored in an accommodation facility database stored in a storage unit (140) and provided to guests using the accommodation facility, and an accommodation facility database including information on whether food can be ordered when food waste disposal costs are not paid is exemplarily illustrated in FIG. 4b.

[0072] When a guest is registered in the accommodation facility database of the food waste cost payment device (100) to participate in the guest-borne service (or campaign) for food waste disposal costs according to the present invention, the operator of the accommodation facility may set whether food orders are possible when food waste disposal costs are not paid, and may set it to possible (Y) or impossible (N), for example, as shown above.

[0073] For example, in the example of Fig. 4b, in the case of YYY Motel, food orders can be accepted and completed normally even if the guest does not pay the food waste disposal fee, whereas in the case of XXX Motel, delivery food orders can be restricted so that they are not completed unless the guest pays the food waste disposal fee together. By setting the possibility of ordering when food waste disposal fees are not paid autonomously for each accommodation establishment in this way, differential and independent operation of each accommodation establishment can be ensured.

[0074] Here, for a guest who orders food at an accommodation facility where the possibility of ordering food when the food waste disposal fee is not paid is set to "possible" (Y), the control unit (110) can provide an interface to the guest terminal (200) that allows the guest to choose whether to pay the food waste disposal fee, which is in contrast to an interface that instructs a guest who orders food at an accommodation facility where the possibility of ordering food when the food waste disposal fee is not paid is set to "impossible" (N) to pay the additional food waste disposal fee.

[0075] A guest terminal (200), an accommodation facility operator terminal (300), and a restaurant terminal (400) may be coupled to communicate with a food waste cost payment device (100). For example, the guest terminal (200) may receive information regarding a total payment amount including food waste disposal costs from the food waste cost payment device (100) and transmit approval information regarding the same to the food waste cost payment device (100). Additionally, the guest terminal (200), the accommodation facility operator terminal (300), and the restaurant terminal (400) may be configured to receive payment completion information regarding a total payment amount including food waste disposal costs from the food waste cost payment device (100).

[0076] Additionally, the guest terminal (200), accommodation facility operator terminal (300), and restaurant terminal (400) according to the present invention may be implemented as User Equipment (UE), wherein the User Equipment may be referred to as a subscriber unit, subscriber station, mobile station, mobile terminal, remote station, remote terminal, mobile device, access terminal, terminal, wireless communication device, user agent, user device, or User Equipment (UE). The Access Terminal may be a cellular phone, a cordless phone, a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) phone, a wireless local loop (WLL) station, a personal digital assistant (PDA), a handheld device equipped with wireless connectivity capabilities, a computing device, or other processing device connected to a wireless modem.

[0077] FIG. 5 is a schematic flowchart of a method (S100) for paying food waste costs for accommodation facilities according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0078] First, a guest staying at an accommodation facility such as a motel can order food using a delivery application that has been pre-downloaded and installed on a guest terminal (200), and the communication unit (120) of the food waste cost payment device (100) can receive a food delivery order from the guest terminal (200) through the delivery application (S110).

[0079] When a food delivery order is received, the control unit (110) of the food waste cost payment device (100) can determine whether the delivery destination included in the food delivery order corresponds to an accommodation facility and whether the accommodation facility is included in the accommodation facility DB stored in the storage unit (140) (S120).

[0080] For reference, if the imposition of food waste disposal fees for food consumption within accommodation facilities is mandated by relevant laws and regulations, that is, if legislation is enacted requiring all accommodation facilities to collect food waste disposal fees at the guest's expense for externally delivered food, this step of determining whether the accommodation facility corresponding to the delivery destination is included in the accommodation facility database may be omitted.

[0081] If the delivery destination of a food delivery order corresponds to an accommodation facility and the accommodation facility is included in the accommodation facility DB, the control unit (110) can control the communication unit (120) so that the total payment amount including the food waste disposal cost is transmitted to the guest terminal (200) (S130). Here, the food waste disposal cost, which is additionally collected in addition to the food cost and delivery cost, may be fixedly set for each accommodation facility (e.g., in the case of XXX Motel and YYY Motel in FIG. 4), or may be variably set according to the amount, amount, type, etc. of the ordered food (e.g., in the case of ZZZ Motel and AAA Motel in FIG. 4).

[0082] A guest terminal (200) that receives a payment request for a total payment amount including food waste disposal costs can approve (or perform) the payment (e.g., execute the 'Pay' item at the bottom of the delivery application shown in FIG. 3), and the communication unit (120) of the food waste cost payment device (100) can receive approval information for a total payment amount including food waste disposal costs (e.g., payment of 26,000 won in the example of FIG. 3) from the guest terminal (200) (S140). Here, if the guest determines that the variablely set food waste disposal cost is excessive compared to the food ordered, the guest can send a request for cost re-examination and re-calculation to the food waste cost payment device (100) via the delivery application only once, and in response to this, the control unit (110) of the food waste cost payment device (100) can recalculate the food waste disposal cost based on the amount, type, amount, etc. of the food and transmit and propose it to the guest terminal (200), as described above.

[0083] Subsequently, the payment unit (130) of the food waste cost payment device (100) can perform payment for the total amount of food delivered based on approval information regarding the total amount of payment including food waste disposal costs received from the guest terminal (200) (S150). The guest's account, card, etc., may be pre-registered in the delivery application, and similarly, the accommodation operator's account, etc., may be pre-registered in the storage unit (140), etc., of the food waste cost payment device (100), and accordingly, the corresponding costs may be paid to the restaurant, the rider, the accommodation operator, etc., respectively.

[0084] When the payment of costs by the payment unit (130) is completed, the communication unit (120) of the food waste cost payment device (100) can transmit payment information (or payment completion information) regarding the total payment amount to the guest terminal (200), the accommodation facility operator terminal (300), and the restaurant terminal (400), respectively (S160). Accordingly, the guest can confirm that the cost they paid has been processed normally, and the accommodation facility operator can determine whether to allow the delivery food to pass when it arrives at the entrance of the accommodation facility by the rider by recognizing which room the delivery food was ordered from and whether the predetermined food waste disposal fee was paid, and the restaurant can assist in more easily confirming whether the food waste disposal fee for the delivery food at the accommodation facility has been paid by printing the payment details of the food waste disposal fee together when printing the receipt to be attached to the food.

[0085] Therefore, the accommodation operator can naturally induce guests to bear the cost of food waste disposal by allowing food to pass only for rooms where payment for food waste disposal has been successfully completed, and by not allowing food to pass for rooms where payment for food waste disposal is not confirmed (for example, by contacting the relevant room to inform them of the payment for food waste disposal). At the same time, by additionally informing and explaining to guests the policy of returning food waste disposal costs on the condition of thorough cleaning and restoration, the operator can naturally induce a reduction in food waste and disposable items within the accommodation and protect the environment while minimizing guest complaints.

[0086] At this time, the food waste disposal cost according to the present invention is a concept similar to a deposit. If a guest visiting an accommodation facility wishes to consume externally delivered food within the accommodation facility, the guest first pays the food waste disposal cost to the accommodation facility operator when making payment via a delivery application. Subsequently, if the accommodation facility operator determines or confirms that there is no need to clean up or dispose of food waste in the room, the food waste disposal cost received in advance can be returned to the guest.

[0087] In order to return the food waste disposal cost to the guest, the accommodation operator terminal (300) may transmit a request for cost return along with guest information to the food waste cost payment device (100), and the control unit (110) of the food waste cost payment device (100) that receives the request for cost return from the accommodation operator terminal (300) may control the payment unit (130) to return the cost to the guest terminal (200).

[0088] In addition, when constructing a database of accommodation facilities stored in the storage unit (140), it is common for one accommodation facility operator and their information to be registered for each accommodation facility (e.g., in the case of FIG. 4). However, taking into full consideration that it is very difficult for only one person to manage, supervise, and operate an accommodation facility, multiple accommodation facility operators may be registered for each accommodation facility, and accordingly, multiple accommodation facility operator terminals (300) may be registered as operators in the food waste cost payment device (100).

[0089] For example, in the example of FIG. 4, in addition to the representative of XXX Motel, their spouse, staff, part-time worker, etc., may be registered as operators of a specific accommodation facility, and information regarding these multiple accommodation facility operators (e.g., contact information, etc.) may be stored in a storage unit (140), etc., and used for transmitting payment completion information, and information regarding multiple accommodation facility operators may be implemented so that it can be added, deleted, modified, etc., at the request of the person in charge.

[0090] In this way, when multiple accommodation operators are registered for an accommodation facility, it is also important to select an accommodation operator terminal (300) that will receive information on the completion of payment for food waste disposal costs via a delivery application. For example, the control unit (110) may control the communication unit (120) to transmit information on the completion of payment for food waste disposal costs to all of the multiple accommodation operator terminals (300), or the control unit (110) may control the communication unit (120) to selectively transmit information on the completion of payment for food waste disposal costs to only one of the multiple accommodation operator terminals (300).

[0091] In the latter case, the control unit (110) may be configured to select the accommodation operator terminal (300) to receive the payment completion information for food waste disposal costs based on the location information of the accommodation and the location information of the multiple accommodation operator terminals (300). For example, if the accommodation is located in Seocho-gu, Seoul, using GPS-based location information, and the multiple accommodation operator terminals (300) are located in Nam-gu, Busan, Seocho-gu, Seoul, and Suseong-gu, Daegu, respectively, the control unit (110) may control the transmission of the communication unit (120) so that the payment completion information for food waste disposal costs is transmitted only to the accommodation operator currently working at the accommodation, that is, only to the accommodation operator terminal (300) confirmed to be located in Seocho-gu, Seoul.

[0092] Accordingly, user convenience and service satisfaction can also be improved by ensuring that notifications regarding the completion of payment for food waste disposal costs do not reach operators or related parties who are not currently working at the accommodation, and by selectively delivering information regarding the completion of payment for food waste disposal costs only to operators who are currently working at the accommodation.

[0093] Alternatively, in addition to selecting one accommodation operator terminal (300) to receive payment completion information for food waste disposal costs based on location information of multiple accommodation operator terminals (300), and / or alternatively, according to another embodiment of the present invention, a request for registration of a notification terminal may be received from one of the multiple accommodation operator terminals (300) registered for a specific accommodation, and in response, the control unit (110) may control the transmission of the communication unit (120) so that payment completion information is transmitted only to the accommodation operator terminal (300) that sent the request for registration of the notification terminal, and payment completion information is not transmitted to the remaining accommodation operator terminals (300). Accordingly, if an accommodation operator who is actually currently working among the multiple accommodation operators registers their own terminal as a notification receiving terminal, the relevant notification does not reach other accommodation operators, thereby further improving user convenience.

[0094] In addition, in the case of such multiple accommodation facility operator terminals (300), according to another embodiment of the present invention, a fixedly mounted terminal rather than a mobile terminal, such as a POS device or an integrated controller of an accommodation facility, may be set and registered as an accommodation facility operator terminal (300). Since the POS device or integrated controller of an accommodation facility is generally fixedly mounted in place without mobility, there is an advantage in that payment completion information regarding food waste disposal costs can be received consistently and continuously from the food waste cost payment device (100) regardless of whether the current accommodation facility staff changes.

[0095] In addition, the above description assumes a situation where guests staying at an accommodation facility order external delivery food and describes the prepayment (and subsequent refund upon meeting conditions) of food waste disposal costs via a delivery application; however, situations where guests directly purchase food from restaurants, eateries, convenience stores, etc., and bring it in without using a delivery application can also frequently occur.

[0096] In such cases, a means for paying for food waste disposal costs may be additionally provided and placed at the entrance of the accommodation (e.g., door, etc.), and the accommodation operator may request a certain amount of food waste disposal fee (e.g., 2,000 won, etc.) for the food through the additional payment means, and may also provide information on a fee refund policy subject to clean cleaning and restoration to the original condition.

[0097] Additionally, recently, the proportion of unmanned accommodation facilities operated without a manager is gradually increasing. In the case of such unmanned accommodation facilities, for example, unmanned motels, an unmanned motel controller can be registered as an accommodation facility operator terminal (300) that is coupled to communicate with a food waste disposal fee payment device (100). Accordingly, when a guest of the unmanned motel orders food using a delivery application and pays a predetermined food waste disposal fee, the payment completion information can be transmitted and stored in the unmanned motel controller. Subsequently, when a delivery rider arrives at the unmanned motel and requests opening by entering the room number, the unmanned motel controller can be configured to control the opening of the door based on whether the room is one for which the food waste disposal fee has been paid.

[0098] In addition, although the above description describes a configuration in which a guest staying at an accommodation facility pays an additional fee for food waste disposal when ordering external delivery food through a delivery application, according to an additional embodiment of the present invention, the additional payment of this food waste disposal fee may also be implemented when a guest reserves an accommodation facility through an accommodation facility reservation application.

[0099] Since the accommodation operator cannot know whether a guest using the accommodation plans to eat external delivery food, the accommodation reservation application can be configured to inquire with the guest terminal (200) about whether to eat external delivery food when booking the accommodation through the accommodation reservation application, and if the guest replies that they plan to eat it, the accommodation reservation application can be configured to add a predetermined food waste disposal fee to the accommodation fee for payment.

[0100] In this case as well, the food waste disposal cost may be fixedly set for each accommodation facility or variablely set based on the amount, type, etc. of food, and in the latter case, an interface for querying the amount, type, etc. of food to be consumed may be additionally provided to the guest terminal (200). In addition, the refund of the food waste disposal cost may be processed on the condition of thorough cleaning and restoration to the original state, which is the same as in the case based on the delivery application described above.

[0102] As described above, according to the food waste cost payment device and method for accommodation facilities according to one embodiment of the present invention, by inducing guests using the accommodation facilities to pay for the waste disposal costs for food consumed by guests in accordance with the principle of beneficiary pays, it is possible to contribute to environmental protection by reducing the use of disposable items and the amount of food waste.

[0103] In addition, according to the food waste cost payment device and method of an accommodation facility according to one embodiment of the present invention, information on the completion of payment for food waste disposal costs through a delivery application is transmitted to the accommodation facility operator in addition to the guest, so that when delivery food arrives at the accommodation facility, the accommodation facility operator can check at the entrance of the accommodation facility whether the delivery food is headed to the room for which the food waste disposal cost has been paid.

[0104] In addition, according to the food waste disposal cost payment device and method of an accommodation facility according to one embodiment of the present invention, information on the completion of payment for food waste disposal costs through a delivery application is transmitted to the restaurant in addition to the guest, and the fact of payment for food waste disposal costs is printed together on the food receipt, so that when the delivery food arrives at the accommodation facility, the accommodation facility operator can check whether the delivery food is headed to a room where the food waste disposal cost has been paid by looking at the receipt attached to the food.

[0105] In addition, according to the food waste disposal device and method for accommodation facilities according to one embodiment of the present invention, if the absence of food waste and disposable items is confirmed after a guest consumes food within the accommodation facility, the food waste disposal cost is refunded to the guest, thereby fundamentally preventing complaints regarding the guest's food waste disposal cost and also inducing environmental protection through waste reduction.

[0106] In addition, according to the device and method for paying food waste costs for accommodation facilities according to one embodiment of the present invention, when there are multiple operator terminals of accommodation facilities, the convenience of the accommodation facility operator can be improved by transmitting information on the completion of payment for food waste disposal costs to any one of the multiple operator terminals based on location information of the accommodation facility and the accommodation facility operator terminal.

[0107] In addition, according to the food waste cost payment device and method for accommodation facilities according to one embodiment of the present invention, user convenience can be further improved by setting the food waste disposal cost, which is additionally paid when ordering food to accommodation facilities through a delivery application, as a fixed amount for each accommodation facility or by calculating it variably according to the amount, type, etc. of the food.

[0108] In addition, according to the device and method for paying food waste costs for accommodation facilities according to one embodiment of the present invention, user convenience can be further improved by allowing the payment of food waste disposal costs together when consuming external delivery food is scheduled when booking accommodation facilities through an accommodation facility reservation application.
