Abstract
Description
Technology Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a heat-resistant drone.
[0002] In particular, this invention relates to a heat-resistant drone that can be operated even in fire situations through a detachable heat-resistant cover. Background Technology
[0003] A drone (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, UAV) refers to an unmanned aircraft capable of flying without a human pilot on board, utilizing remote control or pre-programmed autonomous flight technology. While drones were originally developed for military reconnaissance and surveillance missions, their scope of application has expanded extensively in the civilian sector due to recent rapid technological advancements and deregulation.
[0004] Accordingly, it is widely used in various fields such as logistics delivery, precision agriculture activities in the agricultural sector, crop management and spraying operations, aerial photography and videography, safety inspections at civil engineering and construction sites, environmental monitoring, and disaster response and public safety management.
[0005] In particular, the application of drone technology is crucial in the fields of disaster management and emergency rescue. Even in environments where human access is difficult or extremely dangerous, drones can rapidly and efficiently assess on-site conditions and support the establishment of rescue operations and response plans. Specifically, they contribute to saving lives and minimizing property damage by performing tasks such as on-site monitoring through real-time video transmission, rapid damage assessment in disaster areas, locating and tracking victims, and delivering emergency rescue supplies.
[0006] However, conventional drones have limitations in extreme environments, such as fire scenes where high temperatures are generated, as their performance deteriorates rapidly or operation becomes impossible. Due to the extreme conditions of fire scenes involving exposure to high heat and flames, there is a high risk of damage to the drone's mechanical structure and electronic components. In particular, key components such as batteries, electronic control units, and sensors are highly likely to overheat or become inoperable due to the high temperatures. Furthermore, in the case of airframes made of plastic or general composite materials, structural damage caused by heat can occur, severely compromising airframe stability.
[0007] Due to these issues, current drone technology has been limited in its active use at fire scenes, and its utility in firefighting and disaster response processes has not been maximized.
[0008] Therefore, there is an urgent need for the development and commercialization of heat-resistant and fire-resistant drone technology that can operate stably and complete missions even in high temperatures and extreme environments. Prior art literature

[0024] It should be noted that when assigning reference numerals to the components of each drawing, the same components are assigned the same reference numeral whenever possible, even if they are shown in different drawings. Furthermore, in describing the present invention, if it is determined that a detailed description of related known components or functions could obscure the essence of the invention, such detailed description is omitted.
[0025] Furthermore, the size or shape of components depicted in the drawings may be exaggerated for clarity and convenience of explanation. Additionally, terms specifically defined in consideration of the structure and operation of the present invention are intended only to describe embodiments of the present invention and do not limit the scope of the present invention.
[0026] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the heat-resistant drone (100) of the present invention.
[0027] The drone (100) includes a body part (120) and a wing part (110) (see FIG. 2 and 3), and includes a heat-resistant cover part (200) that protects the body part (120) and the wing part (110).
[0028] The drone (100) contains various electronic control units and sensors for flight, thereby performing precise remote control and autonomous flight. In particular, in high-temperature environments such as fire, there is a problem where a conventional drone cannot operate normally due to thermal damage to electronic components.
[0029] Generally, drones can operate on the outer edges of a fire scene and up to the area where smoke and heat currents form, but there is a problem where drone operation is difficult in areas below that due to the heat.
[0030] The present invention can solve this problem through the heat-resistant cover part (200).
[0031] The heat-resistant cover part (200) performs the role of improving heat resistance by preventing damage to the drone (100) in a high-temperature environment.
[0032] The heat-resistant cover portion (200) can be formed by injecting a composition containing a cyanate ester-based thermosetting resin matrix, which provides superior heat resistance and durability compared to general plastic.
[0033] Additionally, a special heat-resistant paint may be applied to the surface of the heat-resistant cover portion (200), and this paint may further enhance the heat shielding effect at high temperatures, thereby enabling stable operation of the drone (100). Furthermore, the heat-resistant cover portion (200) may be additionally reinforced with a composite material resistant to high temperatures, such as ceramic fibers or carbon fibers, in addition to the cyanate ester-based thermosetting resin.
[0034] The cyanate ester-based thermosetting resin used in the heat-resistant cover part (200) of the present invention has excellent heat resistance, chemical resistance, and mechanical strength, and is already widely used as a reliable material in extreme environments such as the aerospace industry. In particular, since it maintains excellent thermal stability without structural deformation even at high temperatures of 250°C or higher, it can effectively protect the electronic and mechanical parts of the drone even under extreme high temperature conditions such as fire scenes targeted in the present invention.
[0035] FIG. 2 is an enlarged view of the wing portion (110) of the drone (100).
[0036] The wing portion (110) includes an extension frame portion (111) that extends horizontally from the body portion (120) and a wing portion (112) that is positioned at the end of the extension frame portion (111) and rotates. Here, the wing portion (112) can rotate to enable movement of the drone (100).
[0037] The extension frame part (111) can be made of a high-strength lightweight aluminum alloy or carbon fiber reinforced plastic. The wing protection cover part (210) of the heat-resistant cover part (200) can effectively protect the wing part (112) from the lower side of the extension frame part (111).
[0038] The wing protection cover (210) is detachably fixed to the extension frame (111) through a fixing band (211) and a fixing body (212), thereby allowing for easy maintenance and replacement.
[0039] The fixing band (211) wraps around the extension frame part (111) in a U-shape, and both ends can be stably fixed to the wing protection cover part (210) by the fixing body (212).
[0040] The detachable structure can be easily applied to a standard drone, providing the advantage of protecting the wing portion (110) in various environments. That is, by wrapping a fixing band (211) around a standard drone and fixing the wing protection cover portion (210) through a fixing body (212), the drone can become a heat-resistant drone.
[0041] Meanwhile, it is preferable that the length (l2) of the wing protection cover portion (210) be longer than the length (l1) of the extension frame portion (111). Due to this difference in length, the wing protection cover portion (210) can protect the wing portion (110) over a wider range, thereby providing higher stability even in extreme environments such as fire scenes. In addition, by the wing protection cover portion (210) primarily protecting the wing portion (112), which is the core of power supply, the heat-resistant drone can operate stably even in high-temperature conditions.
[0042] Meanwhile, the wing protection cover (210) of the heat-resistant cover (200) adopts a detachable structure using a fixing band (211), which has the effect of enabling rapid replacement and maintenance of damaged parts that may occur after operation at a fire site. For example, the fixing band (211) is made of an elastic material with spring stiffness or a composite material with excellent heat resistance, allowing for rapid assembly and disassembly at the site without the need for separate special equipment.
[0043] FIG. 3 is an overall perspective view illustrating the connection relationship between the body part (120) and the body protection cover part (220).
[0044] The body (120) houses major electronic components and sensors internally and needs to be protected from external shocks or high-temperature environments. The body (120) may contain various sensors and electronic control units, such as an IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), a GPS (Global Positioning System) module, a thermal imaging camera, and a high-resolution optical camera. The IMU detects the attitude and direction of the drone in real time, and the GPS module enables tracking of the drone's precise location. In particular, the thermal imaging camera is highly advantageous for fire suppression and rescue missions as it can quickly detect targets for rescue within flames and smoke at a fire scene.
[0045] The body protection cover (220) serves to protect the lower part of the body part (120), and a bent portion (221) protruding upward is formed around the perimeter, allowing for stable protection of the side of the body part (120). As a result, electronic components are effectively protected from external high temperatures and flames, thereby improving the operational reliability of the drone (100).
[0046] FIG. 4 is a drawing illustrating the structure of the fixed part (121) of the body part (120).
[0047] A fixing part (121) is disposed at the lower part of the body part (120), which includes a plate shape with a length longer than the width of the drone (100) and a bar protruding downward.
[0048] The fixing part (121) consists of a fixing plate part (121a) and a fixing bar (121b). The fixing plate part (121a) is formed in a flat shape, and the fixing bar (121b) extends downward from the end of the fixing plate part (121a). The fixing plate part (121a) can be stably fixed to the body part (120). For example, the fixing plate part (121a) can be supported and fixed by four walls. That is, if the fixing plate part (121a) is formed in a rectangular shape, it can be supported by walls that stably support the four sides and the bottom surface of the fixing plate part (121a). That is, the walls are formed in an 'L' shape, and the fixing plate part (121a) can be stably fixed to the body part (120) by supporting the sides and bottom surface of the fixing plate part (121a) by the walls. Here, the fixing plate part (121a) can be additionally supported by an auxiliary latch part. That is, an auxiliary latch portion is positioned at a location spaced apart from the wall and bent from the lower side toward the upper side, and one end of the auxiliary latch portion supports the fixed plate portion (121a), so that the fixed plate portion (121a) can be supported and fixed to the body portion (120).
[0049] Meanwhile, a fixing bar (121b) extending downward is installed around the perimeter of the fixing plate portion (121a), and the fixing bar (121b) can protrude downward by a set length and be inserted into the connecting portion (222) of the body protection cover portion (220).
[0050] FIG. 5 is a drawing illustrating a structure in which a body protection cover part (220) is connected to a body part (120).
[0051] The body protection cover portion (220) may include a connecting portion (222) into which the fixing portion (121) is inserted. More precisely, the fixing bar (121b) of the fixing portion (121) may be inserted into the fixing hole of the connecting portion (222).
[0052] Here, the connecting portion (222) of the body protection cover portion (220) may have a fixing hole formed in correspondence with the fixing bar (121b) of the fixing portion (121). It is preferable that the connecting portion (222) be positioned around the perimeter of the body protection cover portion (220). Therefore, the body protection cover portion (220) can be stably fixed to the lower side of the body portion (120) simply by inserting the fixing bar (121b) of the fixing portion (121) into correspondence with the fixing hole of the connecting portion (222). Meanwhile, although not shown, a clip portion may be further included to assist in fixing the connecting portion (222) and the fixing bar (121b) by applying pressure to the connecting portion (222).
[0053] In addition, the connecting part (222) is designed in a closed-loop shape to block the inflow of external high heat, thereby further improving the heat resistance performance of the drone (100). Furthermore, the connecting part (222) is formed with a wide lower side to enable stable support of the drone (100).
[0054] Additionally, the closed-loop structure of the connecting part (222) enhances the coupling stability of the fixed part (121), thereby allowing the drone (100) to withstand vibrations or external forces.
[0055] The heat-resistant drone of the present invention as described above underwent a high-temperature durability test by exposing it to an environment of 300°C or higher for 30 minutes or more.
[0056] As a result of the test, it was confirmed that the temperature inside the heat-resistant cover (200) is maintained at 70°C or lower, allowing the electronic components inside the drone to operate normally. On the other hand, it was confirmed that a standard drone without a heat-resistant cover would have its electronic components damaged and become unable to operate under the same conditions.
[0057] The heat-resistant drone of the present invention is applicable not only to fire situations but also to various extreme environments, such as volcanic eruption sites and high-temperature leakage accident sites at industrial facilities. Furthermore, the shape and structure of the heat-resistant cover can be modified to be cylindrical, box-shaped, or customized to suit specific environments depending on the size and form of the drone, and it is obvious that various improvements are possible within the scope of the technical concept and scope of the present invention.
[0058] Although the present invention has been illustrated and described in relation to specific embodiments, it will be obvious to those skilled in the art that the present invention can be modified and changed in various ways without departing from the technical spirit of the invention as provided by the following claims.
