Abstract
Description
Technology Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a landscape lighting device, and more specifically, to a landscape lighting device that is attached to various structures such as lamp posts, fence posts, building exterior walls, and guide columns, emits light in multiple directions, projects patterns or text to perform guidance or promotional functions, and has a modular structure to facilitate maintenance and replacement. Background Technology
[0002] Recently, landscape lighting utilizing streetlights or lamp posts is being widely installed to enhance urban aesthetics and ensure pedestrian safety. Beyond simply illuminating roads, this landscape lighting serves to provide guidance and aesthetic effects through the display of various colors, patterns, and text. However, conventional lamp post-mounted landscape lighting has had the following limitations. First, most utilize fixed lighting structures, limiting them to simple on / off switching or monochromatic emission, making it difficult to create diverse effects tailored to specific spatial characteristics or events. Furthermore, even when displaying patterns or text, the methods are restricted, making it difficult to fully implement user-customized guidance or visual diversity. Additionally, since the light-emitting unit and cover are often formed as a single integrated unit, replacing LED modules or maintaining them is inconvenient and increases costs. Moreover, heat generated from the light-emitting unit is not effectively dissipated, leading to issues such as shortened LED lifespan or reduced lighting efficiency during prolonged use.
[0003] Conventional Korean Patent No. 10-2307386 (September 24, 2021) describes a fence post made of metal or plastic material equipped with a lighting case, a light-diffusing cover, and a molding plate inside to display patterns or characters on the side of the post. Additionally, a heat sink and ventilation holes are installed inside to suppress heat generation, and a light sensor is used to automatically control the lighting and extinguishing. However, the aforementioned prior art is limited to fence post structures, which imposes restrictions on its application to lamp posts. Furthermore, it has limitations in producing various colors or implementing user-customized guidance messages, and improvements are required in terms of the convenience of installation and maintenance. [0022] The present invention relates to a landscape lighting device and comprises a body (100), one or more lighting covers detachably installed on the body (100), a light-emitting part disposed inside the lighting cover and emitting light, and a power supply part that supplies power to the light-emitting part.
[0023] The body (100) can be formed in various shapes, such as a cylindrical shape or a prismatic shape, and can be modified according to the installation environment or design requirements. Additionally, the body (100) can be formed from a metal material such as steel or aluminum, or a material such as cement or synthetic resin. It can be formed from a metal material when durability and strength are required, or from a synthetic resin material when lightweighting or processability is required.
[0024] Additionally, the body (100) can be configured to be installed on any one of a lamp post, a fence post, an exterior wall of a building, or a guide post. Accordingly, the landscape lighting device of the present invention can be applied to various places such as roadsides, parks, tourist attractions, commercial facilities, and public institutions, and can perform complex functions such as guide signs, promotional means, and urban landscape design, going beyond the simple function of a street light.
[0025] In particular, the size and fixing method of the body (100) may be changed depending on the shape or material of the structure to be installed, and it can be stably installed in various ways such as bolt fastening, bracket fixing, anchor bolt insertion, adhesive, or welding. Accordingly, the landscape lighting device of the present invention can be easily attached to existing facilities, thus having excellent constructability and the advantage of easy maintenance, repair, and replacement.
[0026] FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram of a landscape lighting device of the present invention, FIG. 2 is a schematic diagram of an assembly of a landscape lighting device of the present invention, and FIG. 3 is a schematic diagram of a rear intermediate lighting cover (140) provided in a landscape lighting device of the present invention, wherein a plurality of lighting covers are installed on the outer side of a body (100), and the lighting covers may include a side lighting cover (110), a rear upper lighting cover (130), a rear intermediate lighting cover (140), and a rear lower lighting cover (150) having a lower inspection opening formed therein. At this time, the side lighting cover (110), the rear upper lighting cover (130), the rear intermediate lighting cover (140), and the rear lower lighting cover (150) further include a pattern portion (120) formed by perforating a pre-set pattern or design so that a light source is transmitted to the outside. As the pattern portion (120) as described above is formed on the body (100), the light emitted from the light-emitting portion can be uniformly dispersed to the front, back, and sides, thereby enabling lighting effects in various directions. Additionally, since patterns or characters can be formed on each lighting cover, the corresponding patterns or characters can be transmitted to the outside when light is emitted, allowing them to be used as guide signs or promotional means.
[0027] In addition, FIG. 4 is a schematic diagram of a light guide plate (200), an LED light, and a heat sink (112) provided in the body (100) of the landscape lighting device of the present invention. The body (100) may be configured to stably support a light-emitting part and a power supply part inside by providing a bottom cover (111). In addition, the heat sink (112) is formed on one side and the other side of the side lighting cover (110), respectively, and is formed by bending and extending at a right angle toward the inside of the side lighting cover (110) so that the LED light can be fitted and coupled. Accordingly, heat generated from the LED light is effectively dispersed and released, thereby preventing performance degradation due to heat generation and improving the lifespan of the LED light.
[0028] In particular, the rear lower lighting cover (150) equipped with a lower inspection port provides accessibility during maintenance or replacement of the light-emitting part and the power supply part, thereby facilitating management over long-term use and reducing operating costs. Therefore, the landscape lighting device of the present invention can be utilized as a multi-functional guidance device beyond simple landscape lighting, and improves constructability, maintainability, and aesthetics.
[0029] Referring to FIG. 6, the lighting cover is formed with an insertion part for inserting a light-emitting part, a fixing part for fixing the light-emitting part, and a structure for preventing the light-emitting part from sliding down. The insertion part is formed to be recessed into the inner side of the lighting cover so as to stably accommodate the light-emitting part, and can be provided with dimensions corresponding to the size and shape of the light-emitting part. The fixing part is a structure for tightly fixing the light-emitting part inserted into the insertion part to the rear surface of the lighting cover, and can be implemented as a fastening bolt, fastening hole, or clip structure, ensuring that the light-emitting part is fixed without shaking even during prolonged use. The structure for preventing the light-emitting part from sliding down can be formed in the form of a prevention plate or a support ridge provided in a protruding shape at the bottom of the insertion part to prevent the inserted light-emitting part from sliding downward due to gravity. This ensures that the light-emitting part is stably maintained, thereby securing the reliability of the light-emitting state.
[0030] In addition, the lighting cover is configured to have a pattern in the form of an image, symbol, or character formed on it, or to project the pattern outward by the light emitted from the light-emitting part. Specifically, the pattern is configured to be convertible into different images, symbols, or phrases by light emission of multiple colors.
[0031] The light-emitting part includes a light-transmitting plate (220) and one or more light source elements. Specifically, the light-emitting part includes a light guide plate (200) and a light-transmitting plate, and the light source element may be composed of an LED light (210). On both sides of the LED light (210), a heat dissipation structure for discharging heat is further included. The heat dissipation structure may be a heat sink (112) formed of a metal material with excellent thermal conductivity, such as aluminum or copper, to efficiently disperse the heat generated from the LED light (210). The heat sink (112) is arranged to surround the LED light (210) and is in close contact with both sides of the light guide plate (200) so that heat is rapidly transferred to the outside. In addition, a plurality of protrusions, fins, ribs, or uneven patterns are formed on the surface of the heat sink (112) to increase the contact area with air, thereby improving heat dissipation efficiency by convection. Depending on the needs, the heat sink (112) may be formed integrally with the body (100) or configured to be replaceable by being connected as a separate part.
[0032] Additionally, a light-transmitting plate (220) may be placed on the front of the light guide plate. LED lighting is positioned in contact with both sides of the light guide plate to irradiate light onto the light guide plate, and the light-transmitting plate (220) stabilizes the light emission effect by ensuring that the light passing through the light guide plate is uniformly dispersed and projected, while simultaneously allowing the pattern or text on the light guide plate to be more clearly visible to the outside. Furthermore, the light-transmitting plate (220) protects the light guide plate from external impacts, dust, and moisture to improve durability, and has the effect of maintaining transmittance even in an outdoor environment for a long period through UV blocking coatings or water-repellent coatings.
[0033] Additionally, the light-emitting part may be formed with a sealed structure to provide waterproof and dustproof functions. Specifically, the sealed structure of the light-emitting part may consist of a case surrounding the light-emitting part and a light-transmitting plate and a shielding plate that seal the front and rear surfaces of the case. A sealing material, such as a silicone packing, a rubber gasket, or an O-ring, is interposed at the joint between the case and the light-transmitting plate to prevent external rainwater, dust, and contaminants from penetrating into the interior.
[0034] Additionally, the joints of the case can be formed by methods such as ultrasonic welding, adhesive application, or waterproof screw fastening. Specifically, the side lighting cover (110), the rear upper lighting cover (130), the rear middle lighting cover (140), and the rear lower lighting cover (150) each have multiple fastening holes formed on both sides, and thus can be screw-coupled to the body (100). Accordingly, each cover can be stably fixed to the body (100), thereby improving structural robustness and facilitating maintenance. Additionally, if necessary, sealing treatment can be applied to the exterior of the case to meet a waterproof and dustproof rating (IP rating). Accordingly, the ingress of external moisture or dust is effectively blocked, thereby improving the durability of the lighting device and enabling stable use for a long period.
[0035] In addition, the electrical wiring or LED modules inside the light-emitting unit can be sealed with an insulating coating layer or resin molding to prevent electrical damage or corrosion caused by contact with moisture or foreign substances. Due to this sealed structure, the light-emitting unit can operate stably for a long period even in outdoor environments, thereby extending the maintenance cycle and improving the lifespan.
[0036] The lighting cover and the light-emitting part are modularized to facilitate easy replacement and maintenance. Specifically, the modularized lighting cover and light-emitting part form a single module comprising a lighting cover body, a light-emitting part insertion part, a fixing part, and an electrical connection part, and is configured so that the module can be attached to and detached from the body (100) through a fastening bolt, clip, or bracket structure. The light-emitting part module may include a connector-type electrical connection terminal for connection with the power supply, thereby allowing for simple attachment and detachment without separate wiring work. Furthermore, the modularized lighting cover and light-emitting part are manufactured with standardized dimensions so that they can be easily replaced with other parts of the same shape, and in the event of damage to the light-emitting part or performance degradation, only the corresponding module needs to be replaced without the need to replace the entire device. Accordingly, the landscape lighting device of the present invention has the advantages of reduced maintenance costs, rapid repair in the event of a breakdown, and stable operation over a long period.
[0037] The light guide plate (200) may be formed from a material that disperses light, and the light transmission plate may be formed from a material that transmits light to the outside. Specifically, the material of the light guide plate (200) may be a material with excellent light scattering characteristics and high transmittance, such as acrylic, polycarbonate, or tempered glass, and may be configured so that light spreads evenly across the entire light-emitting part through diffuse reflection treatment as needed. In addition, fine patterns or irregularities may be formed on the light guide plate (200) so that specific patterns or character shapes can be projected more clearly to the outside.
[0038] Meanwhile, the material of the light-transmitting plate may be a material that has high light transmittance and can withstand external impacts and weather conditions, such as glass, polycarbonate, or transparent acrylic. The light-transmitting plate can maintain transparency for a long period even in outdoor installation environments by applying a UV-blocking coating or a water-repellent coating to its outer surface, and can be treated to be semi-transparent as needed to provide light diffusion and anti-glare effects. Accordingly, the light guide plate (200) and the light-transmitting plate each perform the functions of light dispersion and transmission, thereby maximizing the light emission effect of the light-emitting part and enabling the production of various colors and patterns.
[0039] The power supply unit may include a power supply module that supplies power to the light-emitting unit and a controller that controls the turning on and off, color, and lighting pattern of the LED light (210), which is the light-emitting unit. The power supply module is an SMPS (142) (Switched Mode Power Supply) that converts AC power applied from the outside into DC power and stably supplies it to the light-emitting unit. The SMPS (142) has high voltage conversion efficiency, enables miniaturization and lightweight design, and provides overcurrent and overvoltage protection functions, thereby enabling the extension of the lifespan of the LED light (210) and stable operation. Additionally, the controller can control the light-emitting state of the light-emitting unit according to signals from external sensors, time information, or user input. The controller is configured to generate driving signals for the LED light (210) by including a microprocessor, memory, and an input / output interface. Various lighting programs or color conversion algorithms may be stored in the controller, and the corresponding program may be selected and executed according to a control signal received from the outside.
[0040] In addition, the controller can be linked with external sensors such as an illuminance sensor, a motion detection sensor, and a temperature sensor to automatically control whether the LED light (210) is turned on, change color, and adjust brightness according to ambient brightness, pedestrian approach, weather conditions, etc. Furthermore, the controller can be connected to a remote management system by including a wireless communication module, and accordingly, the manager can remotely control the lighting pattern or color display or monitor for malfunctions through the network.
[0041] Additionally, the rear lower lighting cover (150) is provided with an inspection port and an inspection port cover, so that maintenance of the power supply unit and replacement of the light-emitting unit can be easily performed. The inspection port is formed so that a part of the lower lighting cover is opened to allow access to the internal space of the power supply unit and the light-emitting unit, and can be configured to be openable and closed by a fastening bolt or a hinge structure when necessary. The inspection port cover is a component that selectively opens and closes the inspection port, and can be fixed to the inspection port by a fastening bolt, a clip, or a locking device, and can be easily detached during inspection. Therefore, maintenance of the power supply unit can be easily performed by detaching the inspection port cover and directly accessing the power supply unit through the inspection port, and replacement of the light-emitting unit can be easily performed by releasing the fixed part of the light-emitting unit through the inspection port and separating and inserting the module.
[0042] According to the present invention, a landscape lighting device composed of a body (100), a plurality of lighting covers, a light-emitting unit, and a power supply unit can be easily installed on various structures, and can simultaneously provide guidance signs, promotional means, and urban landscape effects through the pattern or text formed on the lighting cover and the light-emitting effect of multiple colors.
[0043] In addition, the light-emitting unit is equipped with a heat dissipation structure and a waterproof and dustproof sealed structure, enabling stable operation for extended periods even in outdoor environments. Furthermore, the modular lighting cover and light-emitting unit facilitate easy maintenance and replacement, thereby improving management efficiency.
[0044] In addition, the power supply unit ensures stable power supply through the SMPS (142), and since various lighting patterns, color changes, and remote control are possible through the controller, a multi-functional landscape lighting device capable of smart control can be implemented.
[0045] FIG. 5 is an actual photograph of a landscape lighting device according to an embodiment of the present invention. Referring to FIG. 5, the landscape lighting device of the present invention is capable of producing various colors and projecting patterns and text in an actual installation environment, allowing it to be utilized as a guide sign or promotional tool, while simultaneously performing the function of a lighting device to illuminate the surroundings at night. Furthermore, the modular structure of the light-emitting part and the lighting cover ensures ease of maintenance and replacement, and by simultaneously satisfying heat dissipation, waterproofing, and dustproof performance, it can operate stably for a long period in an outdoor environment. Therefore, compared to conventional technology, the present invention provides various advantages in terms of constructability, durability, and management efficiency.
[0046] Therefore, unlike conventional simple lighting devices, this invention satisfies all aspects of constructability, maintainability, durability, aesthetics, and intelligent control functions, thereby significantly enhancing usability in urban environments.
