Abstract
The utility model relates to the field of radio electronics, in particular to microstrip antenna-feeder devices used in small CubeSat-format spacecraft. This utility model ensures the structural and electromagnetic compatibility of the antenna system with the optical camera of a small spacecraft without degrading the imaging characteristics, as well as the formation of circular polarization with the ability to switch between left and right circular polarization due to separate excitation ports. The technical result of the utility model is achieved through a microstrip antenna array for small CubeSat-format spacecraft, using an optical camera integration strategy. The advantages of the utility model include: high gain and narrow radiation pattern, ensuring the formation of a single directional beam; A compact, optimized planar geometry 1x4 X-band microstrip antenna array centered at 8.24 GHz, which accommodates the X-band uplink and downlink channels and ensures interference-free operation with the nanosatellite's optical system without limiting the field of view; small dimensions and low weight of the antenna array, meeting the requirements for small CubeSat spacecraft; the antenna array design is made on a dielectric substrate made of Teflon, which has high thermal and radiation resistance, which ensures reliable operation in outer space conditions; the formation of both right and left circular polarization, achieved through the presence of a rectangular slot in the central part of each radiating element, as well as the ability to select the type of polarization by connecting separate excitation ports associated with two microstrip antenna arrays, symmetrically and mirror-image located relative to the central hole intended for integration with the optical chamber. The utility model was created within the framework of the scientific project of the State Fund (2024-2026) No. AP23488357 “Development and creation of antenna arrays of S, X bands integrated with payloads of a small CubeSat-format spacecraft.”
