Anti-corrosion compound for the outer surface of the bottom of an oil storage tank

Abstract

The utility model relates to oilfield chemistry, specifically the production of an anti-corrosion compound for the outer bottom of oil storage tanks. Oil storage tanks are primarily subject to atmospheric, soil, and internal corrosion, which occurs primarily through electrochemical mechanisms. The purpose of this utility model is to obtain an anti-corrosion composite coating that will provide protection against corrosion of the outer surface of the bottom of an oil storage tank. The utility model is aimed at solving the problem of expanding the range of effective anti-corrosion compounds based on secondary polymeric materials and by-products of the oil and fat industry in order to obtain composite polymeric materials for the corrosion protection of oil storage tanks. To prepare the polymer anticorrosive composition, the finished mixture was mixed with white spirit (Nefras C4-155 / 200) at a temperature of 130-140°C in a stainless steel reactor. This technical solution solves the problem and offers advantages over the existing prototype. The proposed polymer anticorrosive composition is an effective anticorrosive coating and can be used to protect the bottoms of oil storage tanks from corrosion. The anti-corrosion composition for the outer surface of the bottom of an oil storage tank differs in that instead of sevilen and polyethylene terephthalate, crushed rubber with a diameter of 0.4-0.6 mm is used with the following ratio of components, mass. %: crushed rubber (0.4-0.6 mm) - 25-30; gossypol resin 10-15; recycled polypropylene - 18-20; white spirit - the rest.
