Abstract

A system and method for detecting operational threats to mobile assets, which includes a system for receiving and recording data on board a mobile asset, including an event detector, a gyroscope, a global positioning system and a digital video recording means adapted to receive data received from at least one of a location on board at least one mobile asset and a location outside at least one mobile asset, and a processing component adapted to receive at least one media file from at least one mobile asset and process the at least one media file to determine threat detection, key event detection, and / or non-compliance with applicable regulatory requirements with respect to the mobile assets.
