Abstract
The invention relates to agricultural microbiology and biotechnology and represents a new, previously undescribed, morphologically stable consortium consisting of two strains of phototrophic microorganisms – Nostoc sp. J-1 and Trichormus variabilis K-31, intended for the melioration of saline soils, have high salt tolerance, activity in fixing atmospheric nitrogen and a growth-stimulating effect, which contributes to the improvement of soil structure and an increase in crop yields. The technical result achieved is an expansion of the range of available cyanobacterial consortia that facilitate the effective reclamation of saline soils by increasing soil water-holding capacity, providing additional plant protection under stressful conditions, and enhancing nitrogen fixation. The proposed cyanobacterial consortium for the reclamation of saline soils includes two strains of cyanobacteria: Trichormus variabilis K-31 and Nostoc sp. J-1 is capable of effectively restoring saline soils through a unique synergy between strains. The interaction of the cyanobacterial strains Trichormus variabilis K-31 and Nostoc sp. J-1 enhances the consortium's biological activity under extreme salinity conditions, increasing its tolerance to high salt concentrations, while promoting efficient fixation of atmospheric nitrogen and stimulating plant growth.
