MULTIFUNCTIONAL INFLATABLE NECK BRACKET MECHANISM MOUNTED IN SAFETY HELMETS

Abstract

This invention improves upon previous proposals to install safety airbags in protective helmets to shield the neck from mechanical injury. The described neck-brace system can be installed either as an add-on or as a permanent, integral component of the helmet. The invention encompasses: a unique electronics module; a previously undisclosed array of sensors; the use of AI-based components within a digital algorithm to detect hazardous situations; the specific 3D design and structural elements of the airbag; and the technologies for airbag compression and installation.
