Device and method for recycling carbon fiber composite waste

Abstract

A carbon fiber composite waste recycling plant comprises a carbon fiber composite waste shredder comprising a section for shredding and mixing carbon fiber composite waste with PA12 powder, a carbon fiber powder cleaning section and a connecting element between the two sections and an iris shutter. A method for recycling carbon fiber composite waste comprises shredding carbon fiber composite waste into powder, mixing with PA12 powder, removing resins from the mixture by dissolving the mixture in a cleaning liquid and evaporating the cleaning liquid together with the resins. The resulting clean mixture of carbon fiber composite waste powder and PA12 powder is extruded into printing filaments for three-dimensional modeling devices.
