Abstract

Circuit arrangement for protection against exceeding a certain amount of an input voltage of the circuit arrangement, comprising: • a first transistor (Q1) that is permanently switched on, • a second transistor (Q2) that is connected in series with the first transistor (Q1) and is configured to be switched on and off by a control circuit in order to cause a reduction of the input voltage, • an overvoltage detection circuit (5) that is configured to detect an exceedance of a certain amount of the input voltage and consequently to send a signal to switch off the first transistor (Q1) and the second transistor (Q2).
