Abstract

The invention relates to a method (100) for detecting the health status of a power supply system (200) with a plurality of electrical devices (1, 2, 3) and an electrical infrastructure for operating the power supply system (200), which comprises a plurality of infrastructure areas (11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16), wherein each electrical device is configured to provide status information (10) to the plurality of infrastructure areas.The method comprises the following: acquiring (101) the status information provided by the majority of electrical devices; determining (102) a respective cross-area status (4) for each infrastructure area based on the respective status information of the corresponding infrastructure area; and determining (103) an overall status (5) based on the cross-area status (4) of the respective infrastructure areas, wherein the overall status (5) indicates a health state of the power supply system (200). The invention further relates to a corresponding power supply system.
