Abstract
The present invention relates to SNP molecular markers associated with upland cotton linolenic acid, wherein at least one nucleotide sequence in the SNP molecular marker exhibits a mutation at the 51st base pair position in the sequence. These molecular markers are used for early prediction and screening of linolenic acid traits in cotton. They are directly expressed in DNA form, detectable at various stages of development, and do not limit or affect the expression of the target traits. SNPs are suitable for rapid and large-scale screening, facilitating the development of automated technology for SNP screening or detection.
