Abstract

This study presents a method for predicting the tensile strength of polymer composites under high-temperature and dynamic loading conditions. Based on a mechanical-thermal energy density equivalence principle, a predictive model is established by integrating interfacial shear effects and a strain-rate strengthening mechanism. This model correlates tensile strength with both temperature and strain rate. By inputting fundamental material parameters along with target environmental conditions, the tensile strength can be directly calculated without requiring destructive experiments. The method demonstrates strong generalizability and provides accurate predictions, significantly reducing experimental costs and time. It offers a reliable theoretical basis for the engineering application of polymer composites in severe serving environments. (Fig.1)
