Abstract
The present invention relates to the technical field of monitoring lung function in mice and specifically to a non-invasive device for monitoring autonomic activity to assess the degree of lung function aging in mice. The device comprises a placement container, the top of which is connected to a lid. A nebulization application control unit is arranged on the outside of the placement container and is connected to a data processing module via a first connecting line. Inside the lid, a flow-deflection air supply unit is provided and is connected to the data processing module via a second connecting line. Due to the modular design of the placement container, the device can be adapted to small animals of different body sizes, and the experimental procedure is simple and easy to handle.The nebulization application control unit enables targeted, non-invasive, and precise nebulization directly onto the lungs, allowing the animal to remain awake and freely mobile throughout the experiment. This completely avoids both the lung-function-inhibiting effects of anesthetics and the physiological stress responses caused by surgical procedures, ensuring that the recorded data accurately reflect lung function under physiological conditions.
