Abstract
This application discloses a SPAMS ion detection device and its detection method. The device comprises: a pre-focusing unit, a buffer chamber, a microwave plasma torch, and a microwave power source. The pre-focusing unit pre-focuses aerosol samples, with its inlet and outlet aligned along the aerosol beam propagation direction. The buffer chamber's inlet connects to the pre-focusing unit's outlet, while its outlet links to the inlet of a single-particle mass spectrometer. The microwave plasma torch features an open end extending into the buffer chamber. The microwave power source generates a plasma flame at the open end, enabling surface modification of aerosol particles in the buffer chamber's propagating beam. This technical solution achieves cost-effective and highly reliable enhancement of 266nm laser ionization efficiency, with the SPAMS ion detection device boasting a simple structure and low cost.
